1A MULTISCALE SOIL LOSS EVALUATION INDEX显示文摘Exploring the relationships between land use and soil erosion at different scales is a fron-tier research field and a hot spot topic in contempo-rary physical geography. Based on the scale-pattern-process theory in landscape ecology and with consideration of such influential factors as land use, topography, soil and rainfall, this paper ap-plies the scale transition method to establishing a soil loss evaluation index at different scales and puts forward a research path and methodology for mul-tiscale soil loss evaluation indices. The multiscale soil loss evaluation index is applied to the evaluation of relationships between land use and soil erosion and the research of soil erosion evaluation at multiple scales. 3Multi-component LFM signal detection and parameter estimation based on Radon-HHT显示文摘A new method is proposed to analyze multi-component linear frequency modulated (LFM) signals, which eliminates cross terms in conventional Wigner-Ville distribution (WVD).The approach is based on Radon transform and Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT),which is a recently developed method adaptive to non-linear and non-stationary signals.The complicated signal is decomposed into several intrinsic mode functions (IMF) by the empirical mode decomposition (EMD),which makes the consequent instantaneous frequency meaningful.After the instantaneous frequency and Hilbert spectrum are computed,multi-component LFM signals detection and parameter estimation are obtained using Radon transform on the Hilbert spectrum plane.The simulation results show its feasibility and effectiveness.Chen Wenwu Chen Rushan 2008Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2008,19,6:9
4Source-sink landscape theory and its ecological significance显示文摘Exploring the relationships between landscape pattern and ecological processes is the key topic of landscape ecology,for which,a large number of indices as well as landscape pattern analysis model were developed.However,one problem faced by landscape ecologists is that it is hard to link the landscape indices with a specific ecological process.Linking landscape pattern and ecological processes has become a challenge for landscape ecologists.“Source”and“sink”are common concepts used in air pollution research,by which the movement direction and pattern of different pollutants in air can be clearly identified.In fact,for any ecological process,the research can be considered as a balance between the source and the sink in space.Thus,the concepts of“source”and“sink”could be implemented to the research of landscape pattern and ecological processes.In this paper,a theory of sourcesink landscape was proposed,which include:(1)In the research of landscape pattern and ecological process,all landscape types can be divided into two groups,“source”landscape and“sink”landscape.“Source”landscape contributes positively to the ecological process,while“sink”landscape is unhelpful to the ecological process.(2)Both landscapes are recognized with regard to the specific ecological process.“Source”landscape in a target ecological process may change into a“sink”landscape as in another ecological process.Therefore,the ecological process should be determined before“source”or“sink”landscape were defined.(3)The key point to distinguish“source”landscape from“sink”landscape is to quantify the effect of landscape on ecological process.The positive effect is made by“source”landscape,and the negative effect by“sink”landscape.(4)For the same ecological process,the contribution of“source”landscapes may vary,and it is the same to the“sink”landscapes.It is required to determine the weight of each landscape type on ecological processes.(5)The sourcesink principle can be applied to non-point source pollution control,biologic diversity protection,urban heat island effect mitigation,etc.However,the landscape evaluation models need to be calibrated respectively,because different ecological processes correspond with different source-sink landscapes and evaluation models for the different study areas.This theory is helpful to further study landscape pattern and ecological process,and offers a basis for new landscape index design.Liding CHEN Bojie FU Wenwu ZHAO 2008Frontiers in Biology2008,3,2:6
5Epidemiological Characteristics of Human Brucellosis-China,2016−2019显示文摘Introduction:Brucellosis is an important zoonotic infectious disease with its main mode of transmission from livestock to humans.The study analyzed epidemiological characteristics of human brucellosis from 2016 to 2019 in China,aiming to understand progress of the National Program of Brucellosis Prevention and Control.Methods:The research obtained data on human brucellosis cases reported through China’s National Notifiable Disease Reporting System(NNDRS)from January 1,2016 to December 31,2019 and described brucellosis epidemiological patterns by region,seasonality,age,sex,and occupation.Results:The number of cases reported nationwide in China decreased from 47,139(3.4/100,000)in 2016 to 37,947(2.7/100,000)in 2018,and then increased to 44,036(3.2/100,000)in 2019,with an average annual incidence of 3.0/100,000 during the four study years.Brucellosis in Xinjiang declined from 35.6/100,000 in 2016 to 16.3/100,000 in 2019-an average annual decrease of 22.9%.Brucellosis in Inner Mongolia increased from 23.8/100,000 in 2016 to 54.4/100,000 in 2019-an average increase of 31.8%per year and accounting for 22%of all reported cases.Northern China reported 95.2%of cases during this period and still had an incidence of 7.2/100,000 and 87.0%of counties being affected by brucellosis in 2019.In this region in 2019,males aged 45-64 years old had an incidence of over 15.9/100,000,compared with over 7.0/100,000 among females aged 45-64 years old.Conclusions:Although there was progress in prevention and control of human brucellosis in some provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs)in 2016 through 2019,progress was limited nationwide and there was an overall resurgence of brucellosis in 2019.The resurgence was primarily in Inner Mongolia.An One Health approach should be strengthened to ensure successful and sustainable brucellosis prevention and control in China.Zhongfa Tao Qiulan Chen Yishan Chen Yu Li Di Mu Huimin Yang Wenwu Yin 2021China CDC weekly2021,3,6:6
6Human-induced landslide on a high cut slope: a case of repeated failures due to multi-excavation显示文摘The paper attempts to represent a case of repeated failures on a high cut slope due to multi-excavation. The characteristics of each failure induced by excavation are analyzed through geological investigation, and then a geological model at different failure stages is proposed. The geological analysis shows that the excavation-induced repeated failures are related to the exposure of the weak bedding plane and the toe unloading of the cut slope. Numerical modeling is conducted based on a sequential method, taking into account the main failure stages of cut slope. The simulation results fairly coincide with the practical phenomena observed in field. It is shown that the decrease in normal stress of displaced mass on cut slope will induce the increase in shear stress in bedding planes and that at the toe of the cut slope. 7Relationships between Landslide Types and Topographic Attributes in a Loess Catchment,China显示文摘Topographic attributes have been identified as the most important factor in controlling the initiation and distribution of shallow landslides triggered by rainfall.As a result,these landslides influence the evolution of local surface topography.In this research,an area of 2.6 km 2 loess catchment in the Huachi County was selected as the study area locating in the Chinese Loess Plateau.The landslides inventory and landslide types were mapped using global position system(GPS) and field mapping.The landslide inventory shows that these shallow landslides involve different movement types including slide,creep and fall.Meanwhile,main topographic attributes were generated based on a high resolution digital terrain model(5 m × 5 m),including aspect,slope shape,elevation,slope angle and contributing area.These maps were overlaid with the spatial distributions of total landslides and each type of landslides in a geographic information system(GIS),respectively,to assess their spatial frequency distributions and relative failure potentials related to these selected topographic attributes.The spatial analysis results revealed that there is a close relation between the topographic attributes of the postlandsliding local surface and the types of landslide movement.Meanwhile,the types of landslide movement have some obvious differences in local topographic attributes,which can influence the relative failure potential of different types of landslides.These results have practical significance to mitigate natural hazard and understandgeomorphologic process in thick loess area.ZHANG Fanyu CHEN Wenwu LIU Gao LIANG Shouyun KANG Chao HE Faguo 2012Journal of Mountain Science2012,9,6:6
8Conservation of Jiaohe ancient earthen site in China显示文摘Earthen sites,which are mainly made of earth,are cultural heritages with historical,artistic and scientific values.Many extremely valuable earthen sites have been preserved in the arid areas in China.The earthen site of Jiaohe Ancient City is one of the earliest National Protected Important Cultural Heritage Sites.The Jiaohe Ancient City site exhibits all kinds of deteriorations,which can be found in the earthen sites in arid environments in China.Through a case study of the Jiaohe ancient earthen site,we present in this paper the comprehensive conservation technologies,including the mud bricklaying and reparation,wooden rod anchorage,crack grouting,surface potassium silicate(PS) penetration consolidation,and suspended steel beam ceiling,etc.Results of this case study showed that better conservation effects could be achieved by selecting proper PS penetration and crack grouting processes based on the deterioration characteristics of the earthen sites.The technology of mud bricklaying and reparation was also an effective method for preventing the earthen body from collapsing.Compared with traditional conservation technologies,the suspended steel beam ceiling technology could effectively reduce the negative impacts to the original state of the earthen site.As for unstable cliffs,a new method using composite anchor rod of bamboo and steel with massive loose earth was applied.Deformation monitoring and temporary supports were critical and indispensable measures for the safe of site conservation projects.Through years of monitoring and practical operation at the Jiaohe ancient earthen site,deterioration at the site has been effectively controlled.Zuixiong Li Xudong Wang Manli Sun Wenwu Chen Qinglin Guo Huyuan Zhang 2011Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2011,3,3:6

11Baicalein suppresses vasculogenic mimicry through inhibiting RhoA/ROCK expression in lung cancer A549 cell line显示文摘Vasculogenic mimicry(VM)refers to a new tubular network of the blood supply system with abundant extracellular matrix.VM is similar to capillaries but does not involve endothelial cells.As a traditional herbal medicine commonly used in China,baicalein possesses anti-inflammatory and lipoxygenase activities.However,the effects of baicalein on the process of VM formation in nonsmall cell lung cancer(NSCLC)and the underlying mechanisms have remained poorly understood.In this study,baicalein was found to inhibit the viability and motility of A549 cells and induced the breakage of the cytoskeletal actin filament network.In addition,baicalein significantly decreased the formation of VM and downregulated the expressions of VM-associated factors,such as VEcadherin,EphA2,MMP14,MMP2,MIVIP9,PI3K and LAMC2,similar to the effects of ROCK inhibitors.In deed,baicalei n inhibited RhoA/ROCK expression in vitro and in vivo,suggesting the underlying mechanisms of reduced VM formation.Collectively,baicalein suppressed the formation of VM in NSCLC by targeting the RhoA/ROCK signaling pathway,indicating that baicalein might serve as an emerging drug for NSCLC.Zhe Zhang Li Nong Menglei Chen Xiaoli Gu Weiwei Zhao Minghui Liu Wenwu Cheng 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,9:5
12The self-regulation process and its mechanism of channels' bed changes in the Changjiang(Yangtze) Estuary in China显示文摘Recent bathymetric changes in the Changjiang Estuary under the influence of artificial regulation engineerings and basin reservoirs have been analyzed based on the maritime charts since 1997 and recent fieldworks. The results indicate a slight erosion of the channels in the upper and middle estuary, continuing deposition and seaward move of the mouth bar crest and intensifying erosion at the nearshore seabed. It is noteworthy that the morphological evolution caused by intensive human activities dominates over the changes from nature process.First, the riverbes are eroded overall in the South Branch(SB), the South Channel(SC) and the upper and middle reaches of the North Channel(NC). The nearshore seabed outside the river mouth is being eroded slightly, which is attributed to the declining sediment supply from the Changjiang Basin due to the construction of the Three Gorges Dam upstream. The sediment above the seabed is very active and coarsened, meanwhile, sand waves are becoming more distinct. Second, a deposition occurs in the North Brach(NB), the mouth of the NC, the mouth bars of the North Passage(NP) and the South Passage(SP) and especially the main channel of the NP, where it shows a massive siltation after the deep waterway project. The reasons for the recent changes are not only the dynamic structure in estuarine mouth bars, but also the supply of sediment resuspension in a local and offshore area. Meanwhile, the severe erosion and siltation in some reaches is related to the construction of estuarine engineerings. It is indicated that the Changjiang Estuary is gradually self-adjusted and adapting to the varying natural factors and intensive human activities. 14Comprehensive Marine Observing Experiment Based on High-Altitude Large Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(South China Sea Experiment2020 of the “Petrel Project”)显示文摘In collaboration with 12 other institutions, the Meteorological Observation Center of the China Meteorological Administration undertook a comprehensive marine observation experiment in the South China Sea using the Yilong-10 high-altitude large unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV). The Yilong-10 UAV carried a self-developed dropsonde system and a millimeter-wave cloud radar system. In addition, a solar-powered unmanned surface vessel and two drifting buoys were used. The experiment was further supported by an intelligent, reciprocating horizontal drifting radiosonde system that was deployed from the Sansha Meteorological Observing Station, with the intent of producing a stereoscopic observation over the South China Sea. Comprehensive three-dimensional observations were collected using the system from 31 July to2 August, 2020. This information was used to investigate the formation and development processes of Typhoon Sinlaku(2020). The data contain measurements of 21 oceanic and meteorological parameters acquired by the five devices, along with video footage from the UAV. The data proved very helpful in determining the actual location and intensity of Typhoon Sinlaku(2020). The experiment demonstrates the feasibility of using a high-altitude, large UAV to fill in the gaps between operational meteorological observations of marine areas and typhoons near China, and marks a milestone for the use of such data for analyzing the structure and impact of a typhoon in the South China Sea. 15In-situ surface decoration of RuO_(2) nanoparticles by laser ablation for improved oxygen evolution reaction activity in both acid and alkali solutions显示文摘Improving the OER activity of noble metal-based materials is of profound importance to minimize the usage of noble metals and lower the cost.Here,we report considerable improvement on the catalytic activity of RuO_(2) particles for OER in both alkali and acid environments.The RuO_(2) nanoparticles were treated with a method of pulse laser ablation.Numerous Ru and RuO_(2) clusters were generated at the surface of RuO_(2) nanoparticles after the laser ablation,forming a lychee-shaped morphology.The larger pulse energy RuO_(2) nanoparticles are treated with,the better the OER activity can be.DFT calculations shows that the surface tension induced by the lychee-shaped morphology benefits the OER performance.Our best sample gives an overpotential of 172 mV(at 10 mA cm^(-2))and a Tafel slope of 53.5 mV dec^(-1) in KOH,while an overpotential of 219 mV and a Tafel slope of 44.9 mV dec^(-1) in H_(2)SO_(4),which are of topclass results.This work may inspire a new way to develop high-performance electrocatalysts for OER.Zongpeng Wang Beibei Xiao Zhiping Lin Shijie Shen Aijiao Xu Zexin Du Yuchao Chen Wenwu Zhong 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3:4
16Optimizing polyphase sequences for orthogonal netted radar systems显示文摘Orthogonal netted radar systems (ONRS) can fundamentally improve the radar performance by using a group of specially designed orthogonal polyphase code signals which require a very low aperiodic autocorrelation peak sidelobe level, low aperiodic cross-correlation, and a good resilience to small Doppler shifts. However, the existing numerical solutions degrade severely in the presence of small Doppler shifts. A new set of polyphase sequences is presented with good correlation properties as well as resilience to Doppler shifts. These sequences are built by using numerical optimization based on correlation properties as well as the Doppler effects on matched filter outputs, which maintains the Doppler tolerance. The statistical simulated annealing algorithm and the greedy code search method are used to optimize the sequences. 17'Chameleon-like' optical behavior of lanthanide-doped fluoride nanoplates for multilevel anti-counterfeiting applications显示文摘Lanthanide-based luminescent anti-counterfeiting materials are widely used in various kinds of products.However,the emission color of traditional lanthanide-based luminescent materials usually remains nearly unaltered upon different excitation lights,which may only work for single-level anti-counterfeiting.Herein,the NaYbF4∶2%Er@NaYF4 core/shell nanoplates (NPs) with 'chameleon-like' optical behavior are developed.These NPs display single-band red or green downshifting (DS) emission upon excitation at 377 or 490 nm,respectively.Upon 980 nm excitation,the color of upconversion (UC) emission can be finely tuned from green to yellow,and to red with increasing the excitation power density from 0.1 to 4.0 W/cm^2.The proposed materials readily integrate the advantages of excitation wavelength-dependent DS single-band emissions and sensitive excitation power-dependent UC multicolor emissions in one and the same material,which has never been reported before.Particularly,the proposed NPs exhibit excellent performance as security labels on trademark tag and security ink on painting,thus revealing the great potential of these lanthanide-doped fluoride NPs in multilevel anti-counterfeiting applications.Wenwu You Datao Tu Renfu Li Wei Zheng Xueyuan Chen 2019Nano Research2019,12,6:3
18Epidemic Characteristics,High-Risk Areas and Space-Time Clusters of Human Brucellosis—China,2020-2021显示文摘Introduction:Analyze the recent epidemiological and temporal-spatial characteristics of human brucellosis in China and provide information for adjusting strategies for brucellosis control.Methods:Human brucellosis data were obtained from the National Notifiable Disease Reporting System(NNDRS).A geographical information system(GIS)was used to visualize high-risk areas with annual incidence based on county(district)polygons.The space-time scan statistic(STSS)was applied to detect the space-time clusters of human brucellosis.Results:A total of 69,767 cases were reported from 2,083 counties in the mainland of China in 2021,a 47.7%increase from 2020(47,425).About 95.5%of the total cases were centralized in northern China and 31.8%in Inner Mongolia(IM).The number of counties with an incidence exceeding 100 per 100,000 was 34 in 2020 and 65 in 2021.From 2020 to 2021,24 space-time clusters were detected.The two primary clusters were located northeast of IM,including 109 counties.The secondary clusters affected 208 counties in 2020 and spread to 297 counties in 2021,the majority of which were located in the middle of IM,exhibiting a trend spreading west from IM to neighboring provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs).Conclusions:From 2020 to 2021,the incidence of human brucellosis nationwide was exponential,demonstrating distinct spatiotemporal characteristics.Space-time clusters were located in IM and neighboring areas.Therefore,considerable efforts are required to curb this momentum.Huimin Yang Quilan Chen Yu Li Di Mu Yanping Zhang Wenwu Yin 2023China CDC weekly2023,5,1:3
19Controlling Effects of Tight Reservoir Micropore Structures on Seepage Ability: A Case Study of the Upper Paleozoic of the Eastern Ordos Basin, China显示文摘In this study, the types of micropores in a reservoir are analyzed using casting thin section(CTS) observation and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) experiments. The high-pressure mercury injection(HPMI) and constant-rate mercury injection(CRMI) experiments are performed to study the micropore structure of the reservoir. Nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR), gas-water relative seepage, and gas-water two-phase displacement studies are performed to examine the seepage ability and parameters of the reservoir, and further analyses are done to confirm the controlling effects of reservoir micropore structures on seepage ability. The experimental results show that Benxi, Taiyuan, Shanxi, and Shihezi formations in the study area are typical ultra-low porosity and ultra-low permeability reservoirs. Owing to compaction and later diagenetic transformation, they contain few primary pores. Secondary pores are the main pore types of reservoirs in the study area. Six main types of secondary pores are: intergranular dissolved pores, intragranular dissolved pores, lithic dissolved pores, intercrystalline dissolved pores, micropores, and microfracture. The results show that reservoirs with small pore-throat radius, medium displacement pressure, and large differences in pore-throat structures are present in the study area. The four types of micropore structures observed are: lower displacement pressure and fine pores with medium-fine throats, low displacement pressure and fine micropores with fine throats, medium displacement pressure and micropores with micro-fine throats, and high displacement pressure and micropores with micro throats. The micropore structure is complex, and the reservoir seepage ability is poor in the study areas. The movable fluid saturation, range of the gas-water two-phase seepage zone, and displacement types are the three parameters that well represent the reservoir seepage ability. According to the characteristic parameters of microscopic pore structure and seepage characteristics, the reservoirs in the study area are classified into four types(Ⅰ–Ⅳ), and types Ⅰ, Ⅱ, and Ⅲ are the main types observed.
