2Real-time control for fuel-optimal Moon landing based on an interactive deep reinforcement learning algorithm显示文摘In this study,a real-time optimal control approach is proposed using an interactive deep reinforcement learning algorithm for the Moon fuel-optimal landing problem.Considering the remote communication restrictions and environmental uncertainties,advanced landing control techniques are demanded to meet the high requirements of real-time performance and autonomy in the Moon landing missions.Deep reinforcement learning(DRL)algorithms have been recently developed for real-time optimal control but suffer the obstacles of slow convergence and difficult reward function design.To address these problems,a DRL algorithm is developed using an actor-indirect method architecture to achieve the optimal control of the Moon landing mission.In this DRL algorithm,an indirect method is employed to generate the optimal control actions for the deep neural network(DNN)learning,while the trained DNNs provide good initial guesses for the indirect method to promote the efficiency of training data generation.Through sufficient learning of the state-action relationship,the trained DNNs can approximate the optimal actions and steer the spacecraft to the target in real time.Additionally,a nonlinear feedback controller is developed to improve the terminal landing accuracy.Numerical simulations are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed DRL algorithm and demonstrate the performance of the developed optimal landing controller.Lin Cheng Zhenbo Wang Fanghua Jiang 2019Astrodynamics2019,3,4:8
3Growth ages of ferromanganese crusts from the western and central Pacific:Comparison between nannofossil analysis and ^(10)Be dating显示文摘Based on results of nannofossil analysis and 10Be dating in ferromanganese crusts M1-1 and A1-1 (no nannofossils were found in it),from the western and central Pacific respectively,it is found that the crust growth ages from nannofossil biostrati-graphy agree well with those based on 10Be isotope analysis. Both crusts have three growth layers,and the oldest layer was deposited in Miocene at about 12.80 Ma. 4Development mechanism of internal local corrosion of X80 pipeline steel显示文摘The occurrence and development mechanism of internal local corrosion has always been a controversial topic,and especially under flow conditions.In this paper,an improved high shear force loop was experimentally used,and local flow field is induced by simulating corrosion defects on the surface of X80 pipeline steel specimens.The characteristics of corrosion products deposited on the surface of specimens in CO2-saturated NACE solution were investigated by means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and energy dispersive spectrometry(EDS).The 3D micromorphology of the corrosion test surface after remove the corrosion scale used to measure the size of localized corrosion pit.Under the influence of local defects,the wall shear stress(WSS)and turbulent kinetic energy of local flow fields enhanced significantly,and pressure fluctuations in local flow field were induced.The results showed that the characteristics of surface corrosion products varied with flow velocity.The corrosion scales formed in various regions of specimens with defects exhibited different surface micro-morphologies and chemical compositions.Overall,these data offer new perspectives for better understanding the mechanisms behind local corrosion.Zhuowei Tan Liuyang Yang Dalei Zhang Zhenbo Wang Frank Cheng Mingyang Zhang Youhai Jin 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,14:6
5Geochemistry of trace elements and Sr-Nd isotopes of foraminifera shell from the Okinawa Trough显示文摘Trace elemental associations and Sr-Nd isotopic compositions are of important to recognition of biogenic material from mixed marine sediments. The foraminifera shell from the Okinawa Trough strongly enriches Sr,P,Mn and Ba, enriches Li,U,Th,Sc,Co,Cu,Pb,Zn,Cr,Rb,Y,Sb and light rare earth elements,slightly enriches V,Ga,Zr,Nb,Cd and middle rare earth elements,is short of Mo,In,Sn,Cs,Hf,Ta,W,Ti,Bi and heavy rare earth elements. 6Late Quaternary terrigenous sedimentation in the Western Arctic Ocean as exemplified by a sedimentary record from the Alpha Ridge显示文摘Terrigenous components in sediment core B84A from the Alpha Ridge,Western Arctic Ocean,have been investigated to reconstruct Mid to Late Quaternary variations in sedimentation,provenance,and related climate changes. The core stratigraphy,evaluated by a combination of variations in Mn content,color cycles,foraminiferal abundance,and lithological correlation,extends back to estimated Marine Isotope Stage 12. Twelve Ice Rafted Detritus(IRD,>250 μm) events were identified and interpreted to mostly occur during deglaciation.The Canadian Arctic,which was covered by ice sheets during glacial periods,is suggested to be the major source region. The IRD events likely indicate the collapses of ice sheets,possibly in response to abrupt climate changes.Grain size analysis of B84A indicates sedimentologically sensitive components in core B84A in the 4-9 μm and 19-53 μm silt subfractions,which are inferred to be mainly transported by currents and sea ice,respectively. Down core variability of these two fractions may indicate changes in ice drift and current strength. 9A stochastic policy search model for matching behavior显示文摘The matching law is one of the basic empirical laws in decision theory,and it states that a subject’s preference to optional targets depends on which choices are reinforced.In this paper,we study the possible mechanisms that explain why subjects’ decisions often obey this law.On the basis of reinforcement learning theory,we put forward a decision-making model in which the policy is updated by a policy parameter,and the model might be implemented in the brain through the prefrontal cortex and the basal ganglia neural circuit.Based on this model,an algorithm that satisfies the matching law is derived under some simple assumptions.Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the decision behavior achieved by the algorithm obeys the matching law.In addition,the matching behaviors in two classical experiments are reproduced using the algorithm.Our results provide a reasonable strategy for the matching law and a useful computational tool for rewarded decision-making tasks.CHENG ZhenBo ZHANG Yu DENG ZhiDong 2011Science China(Information Sciences)2011,54,7:1
10The Coastal Zone Loess of the Liaodong Peninsula, Liaoning Province显示文摘This Paper discusses the origin of the Coastal Zone Loess on the Liaodong Peninsula, Liaoning Province.The loess is composed mainly of proximal materials transported by low-altitude air flow and less commonly ofinland distal materials carried by high-altitude air flow. The main provenance is the Liaodong Bay. When thesea level declined during glacial period, the bottoms of the Liaodong Bay and Bohai Sea emerged, wheredesertization occurred. As a result, submarine sediments were transported by strong northwesterly winds to theeastern coastal zone of the peninsula and deposited there. 11Clay minerals in Arctic Kongsfjorden surface sediments and their implications on provenance and paleoenvironmental change显示文摘Kongsfjorden is a typical fjord on the edge of the ice cap of the Arctic Svalbard-Barents Sea. Its inner bay is connected with a modern glacier front along the direction of the fjord axis with a significant gradient change in the parameters of hydrology, sedimentation, and biology. In summer, ice and snow melt-water and floating ice collapse continuously and thus transport the weathering products on the surrounding land into the sea. Thus Kongsfjorden is regards as a natural laboratory for the study of unique sedimentation in polar fjords under modern glacial-sea water conditions. In this study, fifty-two surface sediments were collected in Kongsfjorden for clay mineral analysis to study the sediment source and sediment-transport process. Our results indicate that clay minerals in the surface sediments from Kongsfjorden are mainly composed of illite, chlorite, and kaolinite, and no smectite is found. Rocks from different periods exposed extensively in the surrounding areas of Kongsfjorden provide an important material basis for clay minerals in the Kongsfjorden. Kaolinite may be mainly derived from the fluvial deposits, weathered from reddish sandstones and conglomerates during the Carboniferous Period.Illite is mainly derived from Proterozoic low-grade and medium-grade metamorphic phyllite, mica schist, and gneiss. While chlorite is mainly from Proterozoic low-grade metamorphic phyllite and mica schist. In the direction from the fluvio-glacial estuary to the sea of the glacier front of Kongsfjorden, illite increase gradually,and the content of kaolinite declines gradually. However, the change pattern of chlorite is insignificant, which may be related to the provenance. Kongsfjorden detritus is mainly transported by the fluvio-glacial streams and icebergs into the sea and deposited in the inner bay. Coarse sediments are rapidly deposited in the glacier front,estuary, and near-shore areas. Clay fraction begins to deposit significantly by 200–400 m after flowing into the sea,which due to the crystal behavior of clay minerals, hydrodynamic condition and flocculation. 12Ice rafting history and paleoceanographic reconstructions of Core 08P23 from southern Chukchi Plateau, western Arctic Ocean since Marine Isotope Stage 3显示文摘Multiproxy investigations have been performed on Core 08P23 collected from the Chukchi Plateau, the western Arctic Ocean, during the Third Chinese National Arctic Expedition. The core was dated back to Marine Isotope Stage(MIS) 3 by a combination of Accelerator Mass Spectrometric(AMS) carbon-14 dating and regional core correlation. A total of five prominent ice-rafted detritus(IRD) events were recognized in MIS 2 and MIS 3. The IRD sources in MIS 3 are originated from vast carbonate rock outcrops of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago and clastic quartz in MIS 2 may have a Eurasian origin. Most δ18O and δ13C values of Neogloboquadrina pachyderma(sinistral)(Nps) in Core 08P23 are lighter than the average values of surface sediments. The lighter δ18O and δ13C values of Nps in the two brown layers in MIS 1 and MIS 3 were resulted from meltwater events; and those in the gray layers in MIS 3 were caused by the enhanced sea ice formation. The δ18O values varied inversely with δ13C in MIS 2 indicate that the study area was covered by thick sea ice or ice sheet with low temperature and little meltwater, which prevented the biological productivity and sea-atmosphere exchange, as well as water mass ventilation. 18Real-time trajectory optimization for powered planetary landings based on analytical shooting equations显示文摘Traditionally,numerical trajectory integration for shooting equation calculation and iterations for shooting with randomly guessed initial solutions deteriorate the real-time performance of indirect methods for on-board applications.In this study,the indirect method is improved to achieve real-time trajectory optimization of fuel-optimal powered planetary landings with the help of analytical shooting equation derivations and a practical homotopy technique.Specifically,the contributions of this paper are threefold.First,the analytical expressions for shooting equation calculation are derived to replace the traditional time-consuming trajectory integration.Consequently,the computational efficiency is significantly improved.Second,the original three-dimensional landing problem is connected with a simplified one-dimensional problem that only involves the vertical dynamics,and its analytical solution is obtained based on Pontryagin’s minimum principle.Third,starting with the analytical solution,the accurate solution of the original landing problem can be obtained through an adaptive homotopy process.Simulation results of Earth landing scenarios are given to substantiate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques and illustrate that the developed method can obtain a fuel-optimal landing trajectory in 5 ms with 100%success rate.Lin CHENG Peng SHI Shengping GONG Zhenbo WANG 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,7:1
19Benthic foraminiferal δ^(13)C minimum events in the southeastern Okhotsk Sea over the last 180 ka显示文摘A total of six d13C minimum events,i.e.,VI,V,IV,III,II,and I,were observed via a stable carbon and oxygen isotope analysis of infaunal benthic foraminifera Uvigerina spp.in gravity core OS03-1 in the southeastern Okhotsk Sea over the last 180 ka.These events occurred at112–109,102–90,85–76,57–54,44–40,and 17–10 ka BP.The largest negative excursions reached 2.5%in event V and were greater than 1%in the other events.We proposed that all d13C minimum events were caused by the increase in sea surface water productivity,the weakened formation of Okhotsk Sea intermediate water,and the enhancement of the oxygen minimum zone.The negative excursions were unaffected by methane hydrate destabilization and subsequent methane release based on the results obtained by using archaeal lipid markers.Yonghua Wu Xuefa Shi Jianjun Zou Zhenbo Cheng Kunshan Wang Shulan Ge Fengdeng Shi 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,24:0
20Research on the Critical Buckling Pressure of Bucket Foundations with Inner Compartments for Offshore Wind Turbines显示文摘In the process of suction penetration of bucket foundations with inner compartments for offshore wind turbines,most researches focus on soil seepage failure and soil plugs,while the buckling of foundations is rarely investigated.Therefore,theoretical calculation methods for critical buckling pressures of the skirt and bulkheads of the bucket foundation are first presented according to the stability theory of a cylindrical shell and the small deflection theory of a thin plate,respectively.Furthermore,two types of models with and without considering the skirt-soil interaction are developed for the calculation of critical buckling pressure of the bucket foundation.Taking a practical project as an example,theoretical and numerical methods are used to obtain the critical buckling pressures of a bucket foundation.In this work,the theoretical method and the finite element model considering the skirt-soil interaction for calculating the critical buckling pressure of bucket foundations are firstly proposed.The results can help to optimize the design process of offshore wind turbine foundations and improve the safety of offshore wind power systems.SUN Guodong LIU Run LI Qingxin HUANG Guoyu ZHOU Zhenbo ZHANG Cheng 2023Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,2:0
