1Effect of auricular pressing treatment on myopia in children显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of pressing auricular points on myopia in children.METHODS:Myopic children aged 8-9 years were divided into two groups.The Chinese herb Semen Vaccariae was used to stimulate the auricular points of CO_(10),LO_5,TF_4,CO_(15),CO_(12),and CO_(13) for three treatment courses for the experimental group(n =39),while the same therapy was not given to the control group(n = 33).Binocular naked vision of the experimental group and the control group before and after the intervention was measured using a standard E visual acuity chart.RESULTS:There was no difference in the binocular naked vision between the experimental group and the control group before the intervention.In contrast,there was significant improvement in binocular naked vision in the experimental group after the intervention compared with the control group(P <0.05).CONCLUSION:When combined with external medical application,non-invasive auricular therapy could improve the function of myopia in children.Auricular pressing was well received by the children.Li Yachan Zhang Ou Liang Wenna Li Candong 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,3:10

3Surface plasmon interference pattern on the surface of a silver-clad planar waveguide as a sub-micron lithography tool显示文摘A new sub-micron photolithography tool has been realized by utilizing the interference of surface plasmon waves(SPWs) on the near surface of a silver(Ag)-clad ultraviolet(UV) planar waveguide.A laser beam with a wavelength of 325 nm was incident into the waveguide core,and suffered a series of total internal reflections on the interfaces between the waveguide core and the cladding layers.The incident light and the reflected light induced two beams of SPWs traveling in contrary directions,which interfered with each other and formed a standing wave as a sub-micron photolithography tool.A near-field scanning optical microscope(NSOM) was employed to measure the intensity distribution of the stationary wave field of the near surface of the Ag layer of the waveguide,anastomosed with theoretical values acquired by use of finite difference time domain(FDTD) simulations.And with this sub-micron photolithography tool a SMG with a period of 79.3 nm,in good agreement with the theoretical value of 80.1 nm,was inscribed on the surface of a self-processing hybrid SiO2/ZrO2 solgel film for the first time.ZHU QiuXiang HU CanDong WANG WenJie HE Miao ZHOU Jun ZHAO LingZhi PENG ZhiXiang LI ShuTi ZHU Ning ZHANG Yong 2011Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,2:3
4Effect of Chaihushugan San on expression of the Raf/mitogen-activated protein kinase/extracellular signal-regulated kinase pathway in the hippocampi of perimenopausal rats induced by immobilization stress显示文摘OBJECTIVE: We wished to study the impact of Chaihushugan San(CSS) on the behavior of perimenopausal rats with liver-Qi stagnation(LQS) and to investigate the effect of CSS on signal transduction of the Raf/mitogen-activated protein kinase(MEK)/extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK) cascade in the hippocampi of rats induced by immobilization.METHODS: Twenty 52-week-old female rats were divided into two groups by the random number table method: model control group(MCG) and CSS group(CSSG), with 10 rats in each group.Ten-week-old female rats were used as the normal control group(NCG). CSS effects were assessed using rats exposed to immobilization stress by measuring body weight and sucrose consumption, serum hormone levels, and observing performance in the open field test(OFT). Molecular mechanisms were examined by measuring the effect of CSS on expression of Raf1, MEK1/2 and ERK1/2 m RNA in hippocampi using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and by measuring levels of these proteins and related phospho-proteins using Western blotting.RESULTS: Perimenopausal rats with LQS had decreased locomotor activity; reduced sucrose consumption; and increased serum levels of corticotropin releasing hormone(CRH) and corticosterone(CORT). Activation of hippocampal Raf/MEK/ERK cascade was suppressed significantly in the MCG,and activation was increased after 21 days of CSS treatment.CONCLUSION: CSS has significant effects upon relief of the symptoms of LQS in immobilization-induced rats. 5Novel sol-gel material for fabrication of a long period waveguide grating filter as a precise thermometer显示文摘A new kind of organic-inorganic hybrid HfO 2/SiO 2 sol-gel material with a large thermo-optic coefficient and a wide linear tunable temperature range has been developed for fabrication of a long period waveguide grating (LPWG) filter,whose parameters were optimized and designed by using finite difference time domain (FDTD) simulations.The LPWG filter,a periodic rectangle-corrugated grating structure,was easily fabricated with soft-lithography technique.At a temperature range from 19°C to 70°C,the fabricated LPWG filter element demonstrated a high temperature sensitivity of about 6.5 nm/°C and a wide linear tunable temperature range of 51°C,so that it can be used as a precise thermometer.Our results are useful for the designs of LPWG filters for the implementation of a wide range of thermo-optic functions.WANG Xin LI XiaoChan ZHANG Tao HU CanDong ZHU QiuXiang CHEN SiHai LI Yun XU Jia HE Miao NIU QiaoLi ZHAO LingZhi LI ShuTi ZHANG Yong 2011Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,11:2

7Efficacy of Chaihu Jisang decoction on post-infection cough and its effect on cough reflex sensitivity显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of Chaihu Ji Sang Decoction(CJSD),(a modification of Xiao Chaihu Tang(Minor Decoction of Bupleurum) was evaluated in patients with post-infection cough(PIC).Its effect on cough reflex sensitivity(CRS) was also described.METHODS:One hundred and eighteen patients with PIC were enrolled and randomly divided into an experimental group and control group(54 patients in each group).The experimental group was given CJSD orally,and the control group was given cetirizine hydrochloride for 7 d.Cough symptom scores and TCM symptom scores were compared before and after treatment.Efficacy,cough onset time,recurrence,and adverse drug reactions were additionally evaluated.Finally,CRS was evaluated before and after treatment of PIC patients in the experimental group.RESULTS:Fifty-two patients in the experimental group and fifty control patients completed the study.Cough symptom scores and the TCM symptom scores of the two groups were significantly improved after treatment,however cough symptoms in the experimental group 1(0,2) were significantly lower than the control group 2(1,2) after treatment(P < 0.05).Similarly,TCM symptom scores 4(0,7) in the experimental group were significantly lower than the control group 6(3,12)(P < 0.01).Overall,the effective rate of the experimental treatment(84.60%) was significantly higher than that of the control treatment(68.00%)(P < 0.01).The onset time of efficacy of the experimental treatment was one day faster than the control treatment [2(2,3) d vs 3(2,3) d,P < 0.01].The relapse rate in the experimental group(9.09%) was lower than that of the control group(29.41%)(P < 0.05).39 PIC patients in the experimental group completed a capsaicin cough challenge test before treatment.The lgC2 and lg C5 of the experimental group prior to treatment was 1.19(0.59,1.49) and 1.80(1.49,2.10),respectively.The lgC2,lg C5 of the healthy control group was 1.49(0.89,2.40) and 2.70(2.40,3.00),respectively.The differences in lgC2 and lg C5 between experimental group and healthy groups were significant at this time point(both P < 0.01).After treatment,34 patients in the experimental group received re-examination.lg C5 increased from 1.80(1.49,2.10) to 2.10(1.49,3.00).CRS after treatment/re-examination was significantly lower than those of baseline in the experimental group(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:CJSD could effectively improve the clinical symptoms of PIC patients,with demonstrable low recurrence and safety.CJSD also significantly decreased the CRS in patients with PIC.Hong Minli Huang Baopei Hong Chunlin Chen Huinuan Chen Wenxi Liu Chaohui Li Xinjian Li Candong 2018Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,4:2

9A soybean NAC homolog contributes to resistance to Phytophthora sojae mediated by dirigent proteins显示文摘Phytophthora sojae infection severely impairs soybean production. We previously identified a dirigent protein, Gm DRR1(Glycine max Disease Resistant Response 1), that increases soybean resistance to P.sojae. However, the molecular basis of Gm DRR1 function remained largely uncharacterized. In the present study, analysis of Gm DRR1-RNAi, Gm DRR1-overexpressing, and CRISPR/Cas9-derived Gmdrr1 mutant lines revealed that Gm DRR1 expression significantly restricted P. sojae growth. Combining coimmunoprecipitation with liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry revealed a Gm DRR1-interacting protein, Gm DRR2, which is homologous to Gm DRR1. An E-coniferyl alcohol coupling assay indicated that Gm DRR1 promotes the synthesis of(+)-pinoresinol, which helps to protect plants from P. sojae. The Gm NAC1(Glyma.05 G025500) transcription factor bound to the Gm DRR1 promoter both in vitro and in vivo to upregulate Gm DRR1 expression. Soybean resistance to P. sojae was increased by overexpression of Gm NAC1. Our findings suggest a novel signaling pathway involving a NAC transcription factor that mediates soybean resistance to P. sojae. 10Enhancement of light output powers of GaN-based light emitting diodes with textured indium tin oxide transparent layer by using corrosive liquid显示文摘In order to promote the light output powers of GaN-based light emitting diodes (LEDs), two kinds of novel corrosive liquidshave been developed in this paper to roughen the surface of the indium tin oxide (ITO) current spreading layer of LEDs. As aresult, the textured transparent ITO layer greatly enhanced the external quantum efficiency of the LEDs. Provided that a wafersample was dipped in a kind of corrosive liquid developed by us for only about 60 s, the light output powers of the LEDs canbe promoted by 24.7%, compared with conventional GaN-based LEDs.
