8Ground-layer adaptive optics for the New Vacuum Solar Telescope:Instrument description and first results显示文摘Ground-layer adaptive optics(GLAO)has shown its potential for use in solar observation owing to its wide field-of-view(FOV)correction.A high-order GLAO system that consists of a multiple direction Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor(WFS),a realtime controller with a multi-CPU processor,and a 151-element deformable mirror was developed for the 1-m New Vacuum Solar Telescope at Yunnan Observatories,Chinese Academy of Sciences.A hexagonal microlens with 9×8 subapertures is employed in the WFS.The detection FOV is 42′′×37′′,in which 9(3×3)guide regions are extracted for multiple direction wavefront sensing with a frame rate of up to 2200 Hz.To our knowledge,this is the first professional solar GLAO system used as a regularly operating instrument for scientific observations.Its installation and adjustment were performed in the summer of 2021.In this article,a detailed account of the GLAO system and its first light results and a comprehensive analysis of the performance of the GLAO system are provided.The results show that this system can effectively improve the imaging quality after compensating for the wavefront aberration due to ground-layer turbulence.Lanqiang Zhang Hua Bao Xuejun Rao Youming Guo Libo Zhong Xian Ran Nanfei Yan Jinsheng Yang Cheng Wang Jiahui Zhou Ying Yang Yunyao Long Xinlong Fan Zhongyi Feng Donghong Chen Changhui Rao 2023Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,6:1

13High-resolution visible imaging with piezoelectric deformable secondary mirror: experimental results at the 1.8-m adaptive telescope显示文摘Integrating deformable mirrors within the optical train of an adaptive telescope was one of the major innovations in astronomical observation technology,distinguished by its high optical throughput,reduced optical surfaces,and the incorporation of the deformable mirror.Typically,voice-coil actuators are used,which require additional position sensors,internal control electronics,and cooling systems,leading to a very complex structure.Piezoelectric deformable secondary mirror technologies were proposed to overcome these problems.Recently,a high-order piezoelectric deformable secondary mirror has been developed and installed on the 1.8-m telescope at Lijiang Observatory in China to make it an adaptive telescope.The system consists of a 241-actuator piezoelectric deformable secondary mirror,a 192-sub-aperture Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor,and a multi-core-based real-time controller.The actuator spacing of the PDSM measures 19.3 mm,equivalent to approximately 12.6 cm when mapped onto the primary mirror,significantly less than the voicecoil-based adaptive telescopes such as LBT,Magellan and VLT.As a result,stellar images with Strehl ratios above 0.49 in the R band have been obtained.To our knowledge,these are the highest R band images captured by an adaptive telescope with deformable secondary mirrors.Here,we report the system description and on-sky performance of this adaptive telescope.Youming Guo Kele Chen Jiahui Zhou Zhengdai Li Wenyu Han Xuejun Rao Hua Bao Jinsheng Yang Xinlong Fan Changhui Rao 2023Opto-Electronic Advances2023,6,12:1

18Experimental Study on Thermal Properties and Light-to-Thermal Conversion Performance of Ionic Liquids Based Nanofluids显示文摘As a new type of energy transport medium with high efficiency and high heat transfer performance,nanofluids have shown broad application prospects in the fields of thermodynamics,solar heat collection,microelectronics,thermal energy,and material science.The wide liquid range and environmental properties of ionic liquids have drawn ample attention to their application when used as a working fluid,especially as a base solvent of nanofluids.The ionic liquid-based nanofluids were prepared by a two-step method using 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazole trifluoroacetate ionic liquid as a base solvent and graphene oxide(GO)as a nanofiller.Thermophysical properties study reveals that the thermal conductivity could be enhanced by 3.0%with the addition of 0.05 wt%GO,and the viscosity and the specific heat capacity were also subject to study as a function of testing temperature and concentration of nanofiller.Additionally,the photothermal conversion efficiency of these nanofluids was studied comprehensively under different conditions.The results show that the photothermal conversion efficiency can reach 83%within an irradiation time of 6000 s and the highest temperature of the nanofluids is up to 105.89℃with a maximum photothermal conversion efficiency increase by 29%.LIU Changhui SHI Xiancong GAO Ding CAO Yuqi GU Yanlong RAO Zhonghao 2023Journal of Thermal Science2023,32,6:0
19Wide spectrum and rapid calculation model for atmospheric radiative transfer in limb remote sensing显示文摘We proposed a wide spectrum and rapid calculation model FALTRAN( Fast Atmospheric Limb TRANsmission),to solve the problems of current radiative transfer model in limb remote sensing. In FALTRAN:( 1) Band model algorithm was employed and the molecular spectroscopy database was based on HITRAN2008.( 2) Limb radiative transfer equation consists of scattering and thermal radiation was established,and according to the limb geometry characteristic,a Hemisphere Radiation Adding( HRA) approach based on finite difference method was proposed to solve it. We investigated the atmospheric limb radiations under typical atmospheric modes in several commonly used remote sensing bands. Moreover,radiation contribution by two hemispheres was quantitative analyzed as well. Validation results show that the relative differences between FALTRAN and Combining Differential-Integral( CDI) model are within 2%,and calculation results by FALTRAN have good agreement with Michelson Interferometer for Passive Atmospheric Sounding( MIPAS) measurements. 20Fabrication of fire-retardant building materials via a hyper-crosslinking chemical conversion process from waste polystyrenes显示文摘Polystyrene(PS)is rich in plastic materials,but it produces a large amount of waste every year,causing a huge burden on the environment.Although PS plastic is the source of a common'white pollution'in daily life,it still has a high utilization value.At the same time,the flammability of PS material determines that it cannot be applicated in places where fire accidents occur frequently.As a result,its application has been greatly limited.In order to realize the efficient utilization of waste PS and broaden its scope of application,PS was modified by hyper-crosslinking in order to improve its fire-retardant performance.In this method,the PS solution with high purity was obtained by dissolving waste PS foam with 1,2-dichloroethane(DCE),and then the hyper-crosslinked polymer with high specific surface area was prepared by adding cross-linking agent formaldehyde dimethyl acetal(FDA)and a Lewis-acid catalyst ferric chloride(FeCl_(3)).Further studies showed that the effects of the amount of cross-linking agent FDA,catalyst FeCl_(3) and PS on the reaction products were different.In addition,compared the as-prepared fire-retardant materials with PS foam from the aspects of flame retardancy and thermal insulation,it can be concluded that the fire-retardant performance of the materials prepared by this method has been significantly enhanced.And it is proved that this method is feasible towards the preparation of a large number of fire-retardant composite materials by using a scale-up experiment.Changhui Liu Yuanhui Xie Ding Gao Xiancong Shi Zhonghao Rao 2022Energy and Built Environment2022,3,2:0
