| 4 | An Intelligent Fault Diagnosis Method of Multi-Scale Deep Feature Fusion Based on Information Entropy显示文摘For a single-structure deep learning fault diagnosis model,its disadvantages are an insufficient feature extraction and weak fault classification capability.This paper proposes a multi-scale deep feature fusion intelligent fault diagnosis method based on information entropy.First,a normal autoencoder,denoising autoencoder,sparse autoencoder,and contractive autoencoder are used in parallel to construct a multi-scale deep neural network feature extraction structure.A deep feature fusion strategy based on information entropy is proposed to obtain low-dimensional features and ensure the robustness of the model and the quality of deep features.Finally,the advantage of the deep belief network probability model is used as the fault classifier to identify the faults.The effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by a gearbox test-bed.Experimental results show that,compared with traditional and existing intelligent fault diagnosis methods,the proposed method can obtain representative information and features from the raw data with higher classification accuracy. | Zhiwu Shang Wanxiang Li Maosheng Gao Xia Liu Yan Yu | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,4: | 4 |
| 5 | Mechanical Characteristics of Typical Plant Leaves显示文摘Plant leaf is a natural composite biomaterial, and its strength is closely related to the microstructure. In this paper, themechanical characteristics of eight species of plant leaves were investigated and analyzed. The ultimate strength of leaves andthe hardness of leaf surfaces were measured by using universal testing machine and nanoindenter tester, respectively. The tensilestrength of the parallel microstructure was investigated based on its cross-sectional mechanical model. The results of tensiontests indicate that the ultimate strength of a leaf is related to the material composition and structure. The coriaceous leavesusually exhibit higher tensile strength. For example, the Phyllostachys pubescens leaf can achieve the maximum ultimatestrength of 5.9091 N·mm-2. It is concluded from the results of hardness tests that material components of leaf surface caninfluence the surface hardness evidently. | 6 | Angle-dependent discoloration structures in wing scales of Morpho menelaus butterfly显示文摘The Morpho butterfly is famous for its typical structural color and has increasingly attracted the interest of scholars in a wide variety of research fields. Herein, it was found that the color of Morpho menelaus butterfly wings is not only structure-based but also viewing-angle-dependent. Firstly, the discoloration effect of this typical butterfly was confirmed by a series of experiments. Then, the general form, arrangements, and geometrical dimensions of the scales were observed using a stereomicroscope. Scanning electron microscopy was also used to examine the two-dimensional morphologies and structures of a single scale. Afterwards, one model with the optimized three-dimensional profile of the structure was described using Pro-engineer software. The associate model was then analyzed to reconstruct the process between the incident light and the model surface. Finally, the mechanism of the angle-dependent discoloration effect was analyzed by theoretical calculation and optical simulation. Different light propagation paths and the length of the incident light at different angles caused destructive or constructive interference between the light reflected from the different layers. The different spectra of the reflected light make the wings appear with different structural colors, thereby endowing the angle-dependent discoloration effect. The consistency of the calculation and simulation results confirms that these structures possess an excellent angle-dependent discoloration effect. | 7 | Microstructure Characteristics of Interaction Layer of Zn-Al Eutectic Alloy with Al_2O_3p/6061Al Composites显示文摘The interaction between Zn-Al eutectic alloy and Al2O3p/6061Al composites in the vacuum furnace was investigated. Great attention has been paid to the elements diffusion, the microstructure and formation of the interface between Zn-AI eutectic alloy and Al2O3p/6061Al composites. Experimental results show that Zn-Al eutectic alloy has a good wetting ability to Al2O3p/6061Al composites and the wetting angle decreases with increasing the temperature in vacuum. After the interaction,an interaction layer forms between Zn-AI alloy and Al2O3p/6061Al composites. The phases in the interaction layer mainly consist of α-Al(Zn), Al2O3 and CuZn5 resulted from the diffusion of elements from the Zn-Al alloy. Several porosities distribute in the region near the interface of the Zn-Al alloy/interaction layer. The amount of shrinkage voids in the interacting layer is relevant to the penetration of Zn element into Al2O3p/6061Al composites which is a function of temperature. | 8 | Numerical Simulation of Water and Sand Blowouts When Penetrating Through Shallow Water Flow Formations in Deep Water Drilling显示文摘In this study, we applied a two-phase flow model to simulate water and sand blowout processes when penetrating shallow water flow(SWF) formations during deepwater drilling. We define ‘sand' as a pseudo-component with high density and viscosity, which can begin to flow with water when a critical pressure difference is attained. We calculated the water and sand blowout rates and analyzed the influencing factors from them, including overpressure of the SWF formation, as well as its zone size, porosity and permeability, and drilling speed(penetration rate). The obtained data can be used for the quantitative assessment of the potential severity of SWF hazards. The results indicate that overpressure of the SWF formation and its zone size have significant effects on SWF blowout. A 10% increase in the SWF formation overpressure can result in a more than 90% increase in the cumulative water blowout and a 150% increase in the sand blowout when a typical SWF sediment is drilled. Along with the conventional methods of well flow and pressure control, chemical plugging, and the application of multi-layer casing, water and sand blowouts can be effectively reduced by increasing the penetration rate.
