2Transformers in computational visual media:A survey显示文摘Transformers,the dominant architecture for natural language processing,have also recently attracted much attention from computational visual media researchers due to their capacity for long-range representation and high performance.Transformers are sequence-to-sequence models,which use a selfattention mechanism rather than the RNN sequential structure.Thus,such models can be trained in parallel and can represent global information.This study comprehensively surveys recent visual transformer works.We categorize them according to task scenario:backbone design,high-level vision,low-level vision and generation,and multimodal learning.Their key ideas are also analyzed.Differing from previous surveys,we mainly focus on visual transformer methods in low-level vision and generation.The latest works on backbone design are also reviewed in detail.For ease of understanding,we precisely describe the main contributions of the latest works in the form of tables.As well as giving quantitative comparisons,we also present image results for low-level vision and generation tasks.Computational costs and source code links for various important works are also given in this survey to assist further development.Yifan Xu Huapeng Wei Minxuan Lin Yingying Deng Kekai Sheng Mengdan Zhang Fan Tang Weiming Dong Feiyue Huang Changsheng Xu 2022Computational Visual Media2022,8,1:6
3Scalable and ultrafast epitaxial growth of single-crystal graphene wafers for electrically tunable liquid-crystal microlens arrays显示文摘The scalable growth of wafer-sized single-crystal graphene in an energy-efficient manner and compatible with wafer process is critical for the killer applications of graphene in high-performance electronics and optoelectronics. Here, ultrafast epitaxial growth of single-crystal graphene wafers is realized on singlecrystal Cu90Ni10(1 1 1) thin films fabricated by a tailored two-step magnetron sputtering and recrystallization process. The minor nickel(Ni) content greatly enhances the catalytic activity of Cu, rendering the growth of a 4 in. single-crystal monolayer graphene wafer in 10 min on Cu90Ni10(1 1 1), 50 folds faster than graphene growth on Cu(1 1 1). Through the carbon isotope labeling experiments, graphene growth on Cu90Ni10(1 1 1) is proved to be exclusively surface-reaction dominated, which is ascribed to the Cu surface enrichment in the Cu Ni alloy, as indicated by element in-depth profile. One of the best benefits of our protocol is the compatibility with wafer process and excellent scalability. A pilot-scale chemical vapor deposition(CVD) system is designed and built for the mass production of single-crystal graphene wafers, with productivity of 25 pieces in one process cycle. Furthermore, we demonstrate the application of single-crystal graphene in electrically controlled liquid-crystal microlens arrays(LCMLA), which exhibit highly tunable focal lengths near 2 mm under small driving voltages. By integration of the graphene based LCMLA and a CMOS sensor, a prototype camera is proposed that is available for simultaneous light-field and light intensity imaging. 4Enhancement of the Photoelectric Performance of Dye-sensitized Solar Cells by Sol-gel Modified TiO_2 Films显示文摘Modified TiO2 films have been prepared by combining commercial titania powders (Degussa P25) with sol-gel made by titanium chloride (Ti-sol). The result shows that clusters are formed by nanoparticles and large pores can be seen on the surface of the TiO2 films. The short circuit photocurrent density and photoelectric conversion efficiency of the solar cells are obviously enhanced compared with those without modification. The relationship between the photoelectric conversion efficiency and the amount of Ti-sol was investigated. 5Seasonal and Interannual Variability of Bering Strait Throughflow from AO-FVCOM and Observation显示文摘A high-resolution Arctic Ocean-Finite Volume Community Ocean Model(AO-FVCOM) and observational current data from 14 mooring stations in Bering Strait and surrounding regions between 1990 and 2015 were used to study the seasonal and interannual variability of Bering Strait throughflow(BST). AO-FVCOM represented the BST with a climatological northward flux of 1.06 Sv, which was close to the observational mean of 0.94 ± 0.26 Sv. From the model results, the strongest volume flux was in summer, approximately 45% larger than that in winter. Interannual variability of BST was also indicated in the model results, and the maximum and minimum annual mean transports are in 2007 and 2012, respectively. AO-FVCOM showed larger differences from the observations in 2000, 2002, and 2015 than in other years, which may be related to the limitation of atmospheric forcing for the model. According to the driving mechanisms of BST, sea level difference(SLD) across the strait dominates the northward volume transport, and local wind is also important in forcing the seasonal variability of the BST and SLD patterns to change the BST indirectly.DENG Yongfei GAO Guoping ZHANG Yu CHEN Changsheng 2019Journal of Ocean University of China2019,18,3:3

7China's foreign aid for global poverty alleviation:artemisinin-based combination therapies against malaria in Togo显示文摘From providing funds for the global fight against infectious diseases,to actively participating in global health security actions,to strengthening mutual cooperation in the field of health,and providing medical treatment,training and scholarships to countries in need,China’s foreign aid on global poverty alleviation is increasingly diversified and expanding in scale.Indeed,China is playing an increasingly important leading role in the global health agenda.It is worth mentioning that over the years,artemisinin compound have saved millions of lives all over the world,especially in poverty-stricken areas.China’s work mode of malaria elimination has also been written into WHO’s technical documents and recommended to other countries.Since 2007,Chinese medical staff has carried out the Artemisinin Compound Malaria Control Project in Comoros,bringing Chinese prevention and treatment programs to the local area.By 2014,Comoros had achieved zero deaths from malaria,and the number of cases had dropped by 98%.Now,this program is also extended to Togo,another African country.This article preliminarily summarizes the malaria profile in Togo and introduces China-Togo Cooperative Artemisinin Malaria Control Demonstration Project to provide a reference for better anti-malaria assistance in Togo,and also shows one of the substantive actions of China’s participation in global health governance,which contributes Chinese wisdom and offers Chinese solutions to global poverty alleviation.Qi Wang Chuyi Yu Hongying Zhang Shaoqin Zheng Jianping Song Changsheng Deng 2021Global Health Journal2021,5,3:3
