| 1 | Controlling N-doping type in carbon to boost single-atom site Cu catalyzed transfer hydrogenation of quinoline显示文摘Single-atom site(SA)catalysts on N-doped carbon(CN)materials exhibit prominent performance for their active sites being M-Nx.Due to the commonly random doping behaviors of N species in these CN,it is a tough issue to finely regulate their doping types and clarify their effect on the catalytic property of such catalysts.Herein,we report that the N-doping type in CN can be dominated as pyrrolic-N and pyridinic-N respectively through compounding with different metal oxides.It is found that the proportion of distinct doped N species in CN depends on the acidity and basicity of compounded metal oxide host.Owing to the coordination by pyrrolic-N,the SA Cu catalyst displays an enhanced activity(two-fold)for transfer hydrogenation of quinoline to access the valuable molecule tetrahydroquinoline with a good selectivity(99%)under mild conditions.The higher electron density of SA Cu species induced by the predominate pyrrolic-N coordination benefits the hydrogen transfer process and reduces the energy barrier of the hydrogenation pathway,which accounts for the improved catalytic effeciency. | Jian Zhang Caiyan Zheng Maolin Zhang Yajun Qiu Qi Xu Weng-Chon Cheong Wenxing Chen Lirong Zheng Lin Gu Zhengpeng Hu Dingsheng Wang Yadong Li | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,11: | 29 |
| 2 | Study on air flow dynamic characteristic of mechanical ventilation of a lung simulator显示文摘As an important life support treatment, mechanical ventilation is usually adopted in clinics. With the development of the res-piratory diagnostic and treatment technologies, air flow dynamics of mechanical ventilation is usually referenced in the evaluation of pulmonary status and assessment of respiratory therapy. In order to improve the ventilation efficiency and provide a reference for pulmonary diagnostics, in this paper, a new mathematical model of mechanical ventilation system was set up. Furthermore, a prototype mechanical ventilation system for an artificial simulating lung was designed and experimentally studied. Lastly, in order to improve the ventilation efficiency and provide a reference for pulmonary diagnostics, the air flow dynamics of the mechanical ventilation system was illustrated through simulation and experimental studies. | 3 | LRP6 downregulation promotes cardiomyocyte proliferation and heart regeneration显示文摘The adult mammalian heart is thought to be a terminally differentiated organ given the postmitotic nature of cardiomyocytes.Consequently,the potential for cardiac repair through cardiomyocyte proliferation is extremely limited.Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6(LRP6)is a Wnt co-receptor that is required for embryonic heart development.In this study we investigated the role of LRP6 in heart repair through regulation of cardiomyocyte proliferation.Lrp6 deficiency increased cardiomyocyte cell cycle activity in neonatal,juvenile and adult mice.Cardiomyocyte-specific deletion of Lrp6 in the mouse heart induced a robust regenerative response after myocardial infarction(MI),led to reduced MI area and improvement in left ventricular systolic function.In vivo genetic lineage tracing revealed that the newly formed cardiomyocytes in Lrp6-deficient mouse hearts after MI were mainly derived from resident cardiomyocytes.Furthermore,we found that the pro-proliferative effect of Lrp6 deficiency was mediated by the ING5/P21 signaling pathway.Gene therapy using the adeno-associated virus(AAV)9 miRNAi-Lrp6 construct promoted the repair of heart injury in mice.Lrp6 deficiency also induced the proliferation of human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes(iPSC-CMs).Our study identifies LRP6 as a critical regulator of cardiomyocyte proliferation,which may lead to the development of a novel molecular strategy to promote myocardial regeneration and repair. | Yahan Wu Liping Zhou Hongyu Liu Ran Duan Huixing Zhou Fulei Zhang Xiaoyu He Dongbo Lu Ke Xiong Maolin Xiong Jinzhu Zhuang Yi Liu Li Li Dandan Liang Yi-Han Chen | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,4: | 5 |
| 4 | Hippocampal overexpression of TREM2 ameliorates high fat diet induced cognitive impairment and modulates phenotypic polarization of the microglia显示文摘Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and Alzheimer's disease(AD)share several common pathophysiological features.Rare variants of triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2(TREM2)increase the risk of developing AD,suggesting the involvement of TREM2 and innate immunity in AD development.It is still unknown whether TREM2 is related to cognitive impairment in T2DM.Here,we investigated the effects of the hippocampal overexpression of TREM2 on cognitive in long-term high-fat diet(HFD)-fed mice.Male C57BL/6J mice were maintained on HFD for 50 weeks.TREM2 was overexpressed in the hippocampus 36 weeks after HFD feeding using adeno-associated virus vector(AAV)-mediated gene delivery.The results showed that the HFD feeding induced rapid and persistent weight gain,glucose intolerance and significant impairments in learning and memory.Compared with AAV-con,AAV-TREM2 significantly ameliorated cognitive impairment without altering body weight and glucose homeostasis in HFD mice.The overexpression of TREM2 upregulated the synaptic proteins spinophilin,PSD95 and synaptophysin,suggesting the improvement in synaptic transmission.Dendritic complexity and spine density in the CA1 region were rescued after TREM2 overexpression.Furthermore,TREM2 markedly increased the number of iba-1/Arg-1-positive microglia in the hippocampus,suppressed neuroinflammation and microglial activation.In sum,hippocampal TREM2 plays an important role in improving HFD-induced cognitive dysfunction and promoting microglial polarization towards the M2 anti-inflammatory phenotype.Our study also suggests that TREM2 might be a novel target for the intervention of obesity/diabetes-associated cognitive decline. | Min Wu Maolin Liao Rongfeng Huang Chunxiu Chen Tian Tian Hongying Wang Jiayu Li Jibin Li Yuxiang Sun Chaodong Wu Qifu Li Xiaoqiu Xiao | 2022 | Genes & Diseases2022,9,2: | 4 |

| 7 | Particle simulation of grid system for krypton ion thrusters显示文摘The transport processes of plasmas in grid systems of krypton(Kr) ion thrusters at different acceleration voltages were simulated with a 3 D-PIC model, and the result was compared with xenon(Xe) ion thrusters. The variation of the screen grid transparency, the accelerator grid current ratio and the divergence loss were explored. It is found that the screen grid transparency increases with the acceleration voltage and decreases with the beam current, while the accelerator grid current ratio and divergence loss decrease first and then increase with the beam current. This result is the same with Xe ion thrusters. Simulation results also show that Kr ion thrusters have more advantages than Xe ion thrusters, such as higher screen grid transparency, smaller accelerator grid current ratio, larger cut-off current threshold, and better divergence loss characteristic. These advantages mean that Kr ion thrusters have the ability of operating in a wide range of current.
