1Top-emitting thermally activated delayed fluorescence organic light-emitting devices with weak light-matter coupling显示文摘Resonance interaction between a molecular transition and a confined electromagnetic field can lead to weak or strong light-matter coupling.Considering the substantial exciton–phonon coupling in thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)materials,it is thus interesting to explore whether weak light-matter coupling can be used to redistribute optical density of states and to change the rate of radiative decay.Here,we demonstrate that the emission distribution of TADF emitters can be reshaped and narrowed in a top-emitting organic light-emitting device(OLED)with a weakly coupled microcavity.The Purcell effect of weak microcavity is found to be different for TADF emitters with different molecular orientations.We demonstrate that radiative rates of the TADF emitters with vertical orientation can be substantial increased in weakly coupled organic microcavity.These observations can enhance external quantum efficiencies,reduce efficiency roll-off,and improve color-purities of TADF OLEDs,especially for emitters without highly horizontal orientation.Chunxiu Zang Shihao Liu Mengxin Xu Ruifang Wang Chen Cao Zelin Zhu Jiaming Zhang Hui Wang Letian Zhang Wenfa Xie Chun-Sing Lee 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,7:7
2Hippocampal overexpression of TREM2 ameliorates high fat diet induced cognitive impairment and modulates phenotypic polarization of the microglia显示文摘Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and Alzheimer's disease(AD)share several common pathophysiological features.Rare variants of triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2(TREM2)increase the risk of developing AD,suggesting the involvement of TREM2 and innate immunity in AD development.It is still unknown whether TREM2 is related to cognitive impairment in T2DM.Here,we investigated the effects of the hippocampal overexpression of TREM2 on cognitive in long-term high-fat diet(HFD)-fed mice.Male C57BL/6J mice were maintained on HFD for 50 weeks.TREM2 was overexpressed in the hippocampus 36 weeks after HFD feeding using adeno-associated virus vector(AAV)-mediated gene delivery.The results showed that the HFD feeding induced rapid and persistent weight gain,glucose intolerance and significant impairments in learning and memory.Compared with AAV-con,AAV-TREM2 significantly ameliorated cognitive impairment without altering body weight and glucose homeostasis in HFD mice.The overexpression of TREM2 upregulated the synaptic proteins spinophilin,PSD95 and synaptophysin,suggesting the improvement in synaptic transmission.Dendritic complexity and spine density in the CA1 region were rescued after TREM2 overexpression.Furthermore,TREM2 markedly increased the number of iba-1/Arg-1-positive microglia in the hippocampus,suppressed neuroinflammation and microglial activation.In sum,hippocampal TREM2 plays an important role in improving HFD-induced cognitive dysfunction and promoting microglial polarization towards the M2 anti-inflammatory phenotype.Our study also suggests that TREM2 might be a novel target for the intervention of obesity/diabetes-associated cognitive decline.Min Wu Maolin Liao Rongfeng Huang Chunxiu Chen Tian Tian Hongying Wang Jiayu Li Jibin Li Yuxiang Sun Chaodong Wu Qifu Li Xiaoqiu Xiao 2022Genes & Diseases2022,9,2:4
3Clinical features and predictors of remission in children under the age of 7 years with Graves’disease显示文摘Importance:Graves’disease(GD)is rare in children under the age of 7 years.Children with this disease exhibit greater thyrotoxicity at diagnosis and require a longer course of medical therapy,compared with pubertal and postpubertal children and adults.Objective:To investigate the clinical features and identify predictors of remission in children under the age of 7 years with GD.Methods:This retrospective study included 77 children who were diagnosed with GD under the age of 7 years and were treated in the Department of Endocrinology,Beijing Children’s Hospital from 2010 to 2018.Clinical manifestations,laboratory data,and follow-up records were collected for all patients.Children who achieved remission of treatment with methimazole were compared with those who had persistent disease to identify which variables were associated with remission;multiple logistic regression and Cox regression analyses were used to evaluate interactions among predictive variables.Results:Sixty-three boys and 14 girls were included;the median age at diagnosis was 4.2 years(interquartile range:3.2-5.3 years).Forty-six(56.7%)patients had no family history of thyroid disease,17 patients had family history of thyroid disease and 14 patients with unknown family history.Of the 77 patients,18(23.4%)patients achieved remission of treatment with methimazole and 59 patients did not;moreover,51(66.2%)had Graves’ophthalmopathy.Univariate analyses revealed no significant differences between the remission group and non-remission group in terms of age at diagnosis,sex,initial goiter size,or initial thyroid hormone concentration.However,there were a trend of correlation between the initial level of thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb)and remission status(univariate analysis OR 1.002,P=0.038;multivariate analysis OR 1.004,P=0.019).Similar results were observed in univariate analysis of the initial thyrotropin receptor antibody(TRAb)level,but this association was not significant in multivariate analysis.Cox regression analyses revealed that children with high TRAb level required longer duration of remission,compared with low TRAb level(OR 0.950,95%CI 0.904-0.997,P=0.037).Interpretation:Initial TRAb level was an independent predictor of remission outcome in young children under the age of 7 years with GD.Initial TRAb level may predict the likelihood of remission in patients with young-age-of-onset GD.Yi Gu Xuejun Liang Ming Liu Di Wu Wenjing Li Bingyan Cao Yuchuan Li Chang Su Jiajia Chen Chunxiu Gong 2020Pediatric Investigation2020,4,3:3

5Physical assessment and reference growth curves for children with 46,XY disorders of sex development显示文摘Importance:Impaired growth is an important factor in patients with disorders of sex development(DSD).Objective:To profile the growth of children with 46,XY DSD.Methods:We compared heights between 46,XY DSD children and normal boys and obtained growth curves for DSD using the k-median coefficient of variation method.The study subjects were categorized into groups with good response and poor response to the human chorionic gonadotrophin(HCG)test according to testosterone levels and were compared height standard deviation scores(HtSDS)with normal boys.Results:A total of 571 children with noncongenital adrenal hyperplasia(CAH)46,XY DSD were enrolled in this study.The overall HtSDS for the DSD subjects were0.0311.202.The HtSDS of DSD boys were lower than those for normal boys among multiple age groups since early infancy.In children aged≥12 years,the HtSDS values were significantly lower than the normal reference values for boys of the same age in both the good and poor response groups(P=.025 and P=.003,respectively).The HtSDS in the poor response group was generally lower than the normal reference value(P=.017).The average HtSDS values in the poor response groups were lower than those in the good response groups across multiple age groups.Interpretation:Growth retardation was evident in boys with non-CAH 46,XY DSD in early childhood and puberty.The level of growth retardation was related to testosterone level.DSD-specific growth curves can improve our understanding of growth dynamics and minimize the scope for bias in the assessment of growth in these children.Di Wu Hui Chen Chunxiu Gong 2017Pediatric Investigation2017,1,1:2

8Broadband terahertz rotator with an all-dielectric metasurface显示文摘Polarization manipulation is essential in developing cutting-edge photonic devices ranging from optical communication displays to solar energy harvesting. Most previous works for efficient polarization control cannot avoid utilizing metallic components that inevitably suffer from large ohmic loss and thus low operational efficiency.Replacing metallic components with Mie resonance-based dielectric resonators will largely suppress the ohmic loss toward high-efficiency metamaterial devices. Here, we propose an efficient approach for broadband, highquality polarization rotation operating in transmission mode with all-dielectric metamaterials in the terahertz regime. By separating the orthogonal polarization components in space, we obtain rotated output waves with a conversion efficiency of 67.5%. 18Morphometric analysis and fluorescent microsatellite markers to evaluate the genetic diversity of five populations of Penaeus japonicus in China显示文摘To understand the current status of germplasm resources of Penaeus japonicus,in this study,genetic diversity was analyzed based on morphometric analysis and fluorescent microsatellite markers.For morphometric analysis,the cumulative ratios of the PC1 and PC2(85.90%)were greater than 75%,which can explain the morphological variation among populations.For microsatellite analysis,the allele number in 10 microsatellite loci ranged from 27 to 53,and the effective allele number ranged from 21 to 42.The observed heterozygosity ranged from 0.463 to 0.983,whereas expected heterozygosity ranged from 0.932 to 0.966,and the average polymorphism information content was 0.947,which indicated a high level of genetic diversity.The unbiased genetic distance among populations ranged from 0.230 to 0.431,and the genetic similarity coefficient ranged from 0.654 to 0.782.Analysis of molecular variance(AMOVA)showed that the genetic variation within individuals was the main source of variation,accounting for 88.55%,and only 1.49%of the genetic variation came from among populations.Jinghao Du Chunxiu Hou Xiuli Chen Jie Xiao Yasmeen Gul Huanling Wang 2022Aquaculture and Fisheries2022,7,3:0
19Characteristics of pediatric inpatients with primary and secondary hypertension显示文摘Importance:Extensive population-based studies have explored the prevalence of primary hypertension(HTN)in children and adolescents.However,there is little published data on the characteristics of different types of pediatric HTN and the causes of secondary HTN.Objective:To investigate the characteristics of different types of pediatric HTN and the causes of secondary HTN in a hospital setting.Methods:The study cohort comprised pediatric inpatients(<18 years of age)discharged with a diagnosis of HTN from Beijing Children's Hospital during 2015-2020.Pediatric patients with HTN were allocated to secondary and primary HTN groups on the basis of comprehensive analyses of their diagnoses,family history of HTN,and findings on physical examination,as documented in their medical records.The Mann-Whitney U test,χ^(2) and Fisher's exact test were used to assess differences in characteristics of patients with different HTN types and causes of secondary HTN.Results:Data of 1470 inpatients with HTN from 18 clinical departments were included in the analysis.Among them,458(31.2%)had primary HTN,and 1012(68.8%)had secondary HTN.Compared with patients had primary HTN,children with secondary HTN were younger and had lower body mass indexes and longer lengths of stay.Moreover,children with primary HTN had mostly been managed by the Endocrinology and Cardiology Departments,75.8%of them having obesity-related comorbidities.In contrast,most patients with secondary HTN had been managed by the Nephrology Department,renal diseases being the leading cause of their HTN(46.3%).Interpretation:Secondary HTN is more common than primary HTN in pediatric clinical settings,renal diseases being the leading cause of secondary HTN.Yijun Chen Peiyu Ye Xiaorong Liu Chunxiu Gong Caifeng Li Yue Yuan Huyong Zheng Xin Xu Hongbo Dong Qin Kong Yinkun Yan Jie Mi 2021Pediatric Investigation2021,5,1:0
20Effects of low and high levels of nano-selenium on intestinal microbiota of Chinese tongue sole(Cynoglossus semilaevis)显示文摘Nano-selenium(Se)has attracted growing attention due to its high bioavailability,low toxicity and its possible applications in the prevention of oxidative damage in animal tissues.Recent research works have conveyed that the use of nano-seleniumas food additive could have positive effects on the nutrition of aquatic animals.In this study,the intestinal bacterial communities associated with low and high concentrations of nano-selenium in the diet of Chinese tongue sole were characterized,through 16S rRNA V3–V4 sequencing.Samples were derived from fish fed with diet containing different nano-selenium level,0 mg/kg for the control group,1.6 mg/kg for low dose group,and 2.4 mg/kg for high dose group The intestinal microbial community structure showed a low overall diversity,among which the vibro genus occupied the most important position with more than 90%relative abundance in all three group.Significant differences in specie diversity occurred between the nanoselenium treated(both low dose[IL]and high dose[LH])groups and the control group(IC).Acinetobacter,Arthrobacter,and Streptophytes were the top three enriched genera after the treatment with nano-selenium compared to IC.Meantime,the weight gain rate of the LH group was 9%higher than control.The results revealed the effect of nano-selenium on microbial community structure of gut and growth performance of C.semilaevis,Future research exploring the interaction mechanism between micronutrients and the microbial communities would increase our understanding of the fish nutrition.Lei Jia Chunxiu Chen Na Zhao Xiaoxu He Bo Zhang 2022Aquaculture and Fisheries2022,7,6:0
