1Force-induced charge carrier storage:a new route for stress recording显示文摘Stress sensing is the basis of human-machine interface,biomedical engineering,and mechanical structure detection systems.Stress sensing based on mechanoluminescence(ML)shows significant advantages of distributed detection and remote response to mechanical stimuli and is thus expected to be a key technology of next-generation tactile sensors and stress recorders.However,the instantaneous photon emission in ML materials generally requires real-time recording with a photodetector,thus limiting their application fields to real-time stress sensing.In this paper,we report a force-induced charge carrier storage(FICS)effect in deep-trap ML materials,which enables storage of the applied mechanical energy in deep traps and then release of the stored energy as photon emission under thermal stimulation.The FICS effect was confirmed in five ML materials with piezoelectric structures,efficient emission centres and deep trap distributions,and its mechanism was investigated through detailed spectroscopic characterizations.Furthermore,we demonstrated three applications of the FICS effect in electronic signature recording,falling point monitoring and vehicle collision recording,which exhibited outstanding advantages of distributed recording,longterm storage,and no need for a continuous power supply.The FICS effect reported in this paper provides not only a breakthrough for ML materials in the field of stress recording but also a new idea for developing mechanical energy storage and conversion systems.Yixi Zhuang Dong Tu Changjian Chen Le Wang Hongwu Zhang Hao Xue Conghui Yuan Guorong Chen Caofeng Pan Lizong Dai Rong-Jun Xie 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:10
2Fault Diagnosis Method Based on System-phenomenon-fault Tree显示文摘The historical records of mechanical fault contain great amount of important information which is useful to identify the similar fault.The current fault diagnosis methods using historical records are inefficient to deal with intuitive application and multicomponent multiphase fault diagnosis.Towards the problem,the rapid and intelligent fault diagnosis method based on system-phenomenon-fault (SPF) tree is proposed.The method begins with the physical system of the fault system,conceives the fault causes as leaves,the fault causes as leaves and the frequentness of fault as the interrelationship,and finally forms the fault tree with structural relationship of administrative subordination and flexible multi-granularity components.Firstly,the forming method of SPF tree is discussed;Secondly some basic definitions as synonymous branch,the tough degree of the branch,the dominant leaf,and the virtual branch are defined;and then,the performances including the merger of the dominant branches keeping dominant,the merger of the synonymous branches keeping dominant were proved.Furthermore,the merging,optimizing and calculating of virtual branch of SPF tree are proposed,the self-learning mechanism including the procedure and the related parameter calculation is presented,and the fault searching method and main fault statistics calculation are also presented based on SPF tree.Finally,the method is applied in the fault diagnosis of the certain type of embedded terminal to demonstrate fault information searching in the condition of the synonymous branch,the virtual branch merging and visual presentation of search results.The application shows that the proposed method is effective to narrow down the scope of searching fault and reduce the difficulty of computing.The proposed method is a new way to resolve the intelligent fault diagnosis problem of complex systems by organizing the disordering fault records and providing intuitive expression and intelligent computing capabilities.CHEN Guorong YAN Ping YI Runzhong LIU Fei 2011Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,3:6
3Flotation and adsorption of quaternary ammonium salts collectors on kaolinite of different particle size显示文摘The flotation behaviors of decyltrimethylammonium (103C), dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride (DTAC), tetradecyltrimethylammonium chloride (TTAC) and cetyltrimethylammonium chloride (CTAC) on kaolinite of different particle size fraction were studied. The adsorbed amount and adsorption isotherms of collectors on kaolinite were determined for painstaking investigation into the adsorption of quaternary amines at kaolinite-water interface by ultraviolet spectrophotometer methods. The flotation results show that the flotation recovery of kaolinite of different particle fraction increases with an increase in pH when 103C, DTAC, TTAC and CTAC are used as collectors. As the concentration of collectors increases, the flotation recovery increases. Particle size of kaolinite has a strong effect on flotation. The flotation recovery of fine kaolinite decreases with the carbon chain of quaternary ammonium salts collectors increasing, while coarse kaolinite is on the contrary. The adsorbed amount tests and adsorption isotherms show that adsorbed amount increases when the particle size of kaolinite increases or when the carbon chain length of quaternary ammonium salts increases. 4A Deep Learning-Based Computational Algorithm for Identifying Damage Load Condition: An Artificial Intelligence Inverse Problem Solution for Failure Analysis显示文摘In this work,we have developed a novel machine(deep)learning computational framework to determine and identify damage loading parameters(conditions)for structures and materials based on the permanent or residual plastic deformation distribution or damage state of the structure.We have shown that the developed machine learning algorithm can accurately and(practically)uniquely identify both prior static as well as impact loading conditions in an inverse manner,based on the residual plastic strain and plastic deformation as forensic signatures.The paper presents the detailed machine learning algorithm,data acquisition and learning processes,and validation/verification examples.This development may have significant impacts on forensic material analysis and structure failure analysis,and it provides a powerful tool for material and structure forensic diagnosis,determination,and identification of damage loading conditions in accidental failure events,such as car crashes and infrastructure or building structure collapses.Shaofei Ren Guorong Chen Tiange Li Qijun Chen Shaofan Li 2018Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2018,,12:3

6Weakened anisotropy of mechanical properties in rolled ZK60 magnesium alloy sheets with elevated deformation temperature显示文摘The rolling direction(RD) and the transverse direction(TD) samples were obtained from an as-rolled ZK60 magnesium alloy sheet with strong anisotropy of initial texture and their mechanical properties were tested at various deformation temperatures. Meanwhile, the microstructure and texture of these samples after fracture were investigated. Results revealed that a higher flow stress along the RD than that along the TD at room temperature were ascribed to the strong anisotropy of transitional texture, and this texture effect was remarkably weakened with the increase of deformation temperature. Deformation structure was dominant at 100?C, and was replaced by dynamic recrystallization structure when the deformation temperature increased to 200?C and 300?C. The texture presented a strong texture(transitional texture in the RD sample and basal texture in the TD sample) at 100?C, but its intensity visibly decreased and texture components became more disperse at 200?C and 300?C. 7Total Variation Constrained Non-Negative Matrix Factorization for Medical Image Registration显示文摘This paper presents a novel medical image registration algorithm named total variation constrained graphregularization for non-negative matrix factorization(TV-GNMF).The method utilizes non-negative matrix factorization by total variation constraint and graph regularization.The main contributions of our work are the following.First,total variation is incorporated into NMF to control the diffusion speed.The purpose is to denoise in smooth regions and preserve features or details of the data in edge regions by using a diffusion coefficient based on gradient information.Second,we add graph regularization into NMF to reveal intrinsic geometry and structure information of features to enhance the discrimination power.Third,the multiplicative update rules and proof of convergence of the TV-GNMF algorithm are given.Experiments conducted on datasets show that the proposed TV-GNMF method outperforms other state-of-the-art algorithms.Chengcai Leng Hai Zhang Guorong Cai Zhen Chen Anup Basu 2021IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,5:3
