| 1 | Re-Os isotopes and PGE geochemistry of black shales and intercalated Ni-Mo polymetallic sulfide bed from the Lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation, South China显示文摘The Lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation consists of a thick black shale sequence with a regionally distributed conformable Ni Mo polymetallic sulfide horizon and a chert bed at its basal strata on theYangtze Platform, South China. In this paper, we discuss all available data on Re Os isotopes and Platinum Group Element (PGE) distribution pattern of the Ni Mo polymetallic sulfide ore and its host rocks (black shales, cherts, and phosphorites) from Guizhou and Hunan provinces. Our results show that the black shales and the Ni Mo sulfide ore have a high initial 187 Os/ 188 Os ratio of 0.78~0.86, indicating that the Early Cambrian ocean across the Yangtze Platform had a highly radiogenic Os value. This ratio is slightly lower than but still similar to present day seawater, possibly as a result of high continental weathering at that time. The Ni Mo sulfide ore yields a Re Os isochron of 537±10 Ma (MSWD=11.9), possibly representing the depositional age of the Niutitang Formation. The chondrite normalized PGE pattern, Pt anomaly (Pt/Pt *), Pt/Pd, Ir/Pd, Au/Ir and Re/Mo ratios of the Ni Mo sulfide ore and its host rocks from South China indicate a varying source contribution of the PGE and other metals for different rocks. | 2 | Pb-Pb isotope dating of black shales from the Lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation, Guizhou Province, South China显示文摘The Lower Cambrian black shales of the Niutitang Formation and their lateral equivalents occur widely on the Yangtze Platform, South China. In this study, we examine two sections of the Niutitang Formation in Guizhou Province. We employ a stepwise acid leaching technique to obtain Pb isotope compositions of the black shales. At the Zhongnan section, the black shales display large Pb isotope variations, with 206 Pb/ 204 Pb of 20.5396~33.5709, and 207 Pb/ 204 Pb of 15.8407~16.5782. In contrast, Pb isotope data show a relatively limited range in 206 Pb/ 204 Pb (18.2797~18.5972) and 207 Pb/ 204 Pb (15.6813~15.7159) at the Zhijin section. Data for all acid leached black shale samples from the two sections yield a Pb Pb isochron age of 531±24 Ma. This age may represent the sedimentary age of the black shales. The initial Pb isotope composition of the black shales falls near the upper crust evolution curve in a Zartman Pb Pb evolution diagram. | 3 | Superplastic behaviour and microstructure evolution of a fine-grained TA15 titanium alloy显示文摘The fine-grained microstructure of TA15 titanium alloy was prepared through two-step forging technology combined with high and low temperatures, and a transnormal superplastic elongation of more than 2000% was obtained. The superplastic behaviour and microstructure evolution were systematically researched at different temperatures and strain rates through superplastic tensile test. The results indicate that the fine-grained TA15 alloy exhibits superplasticity at temperatures of 760-980°C and initial strain rates from 1.1 × 10-2 to 5.5 × 10-5 s-1. The optimal superplastic conditions are 940°C and 3.3 × 10-4 s-1, in which the average elongation is 2526% and the maximum elongation is 2743%. | 4 | Immunotherapy of Epstein-Barr Virus Associated Malignancies Using Mycobacterial HSP70 and LMP2A356-364 Epitope Fusion Protein显示文摘Epstein-Barr virus infection is strongly associated with a number of malignancies.The EBV latent membrane protein 2A has been implicated as one of the most attractive candidates for immunotherapy of related malignancies.In previous studies,the T cell epitopes of LMP2A have been identified systematically.However,the epitope-based vaccine generally meets inefficient immunogenicity when used in vivo directly,which could be overcome by combination with appropriate adjuvants.Heat shock protein is a natural chaperon,which is able to activate the classical major histocompatibility complex class I antigen-processing pathway(cross-presentation).In this study,a minigene encoding LMP2A356-364(FLYALALLL)was genetically fused to the carboxy-terminal of mycobacterial heat shock protein 70.The epitope fusion protein was expressed and purified,and the cross-presentation of LMP2A_(356-364) by monocyte-derived dendritic cells pulsed with the epitope fusion protein was evaluated.Results showed that the epitope fusion protein-pulsed mDCs were much more efficient than the single peptide-pulsed mDCs on CTL activation.Immunization of HLA-A2.1 transgenic mice with MtHsp70-LMP2A_(356-364) generated peptide specific CTL more effectively than a single peptide plus incomplete Freund's adjuvant(IFA).Growth of LMP2A expressing B16 melanoma tumor cells was suppressed in the vaccinated groups.Our results suggested that MtHsp70-LMP2A_(356-364) fusion protein was more effective than the CD8^(+)T cell epitope alone on anti-tumor immunity.As a result,the MtHsp70-LMP2A_(356-364) fusion protein is considered to be a promising candidate vaccine for EBV related malignancies. | Genyan Liu Kun Yao Bing Wang Yun Chen Feng Zhou Yidi Guo Jian Xu Hongzhen Shi | 2009 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2009,6,6: | 6 |
| 5 | Adaptive changes of gastro-entero-pancreatic system endocrine cells in the black-spotted pond frog Rana nigromaculata after fasting显示文摘Changes in distribution density,morphology and secretory content of endocrine cells in the gastro-entero-pancreatic system of black-spotted frogs Rana nigromaculata before and after fasting were investigated using immunohistochemistry and antisera to six gut hormones.Six types of endocrine cells were detected in the digestive tract of Rana nigromaculata,including 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT),gastrin(GAS),somatostatin(SOM),glucagon(GLU),pancreatic polypeptide(PP)and vasoactive intestinal polypeptide(VIP)cells.After fasting,the density of 5-HT cells in the esophagus,cardia and fundus,GAS cells in the fundus and pylorus,PP cells in the fundus decreased significantly(P<0.01),while SOM cells in the cardia,GLU cells in the rectum increased significantly(P<0.01).The cytoplasmic processes of 5-HT cells became shorter or not detectable.The secretory content of GAS cells reduced in the cardia.The positive immunostaining reaction in the perinuclear region of SOM cells in the cardia,fundus and pylorus became weaker,while the staining intensity in the periphery of these cells became stronger.VIP cells were not detectable in the whole digestive tract after fasting.Five types of endocrine cells were found in the pancreas of Rana nigromaculata,including 5-HT,GAS,SOM,GLU and PP cells.After fasting,the density of 5-HT cells decreased slightly(P>0.05),while SOM,GAS,GLU and PP cells increased significantly(P<0.01).Furthermore,the secretory content of GLU cells increased significantly.Considering their functionalities,our results indicate that the changes of GEP endocrine cells in Rana nigromaculata responded adaptively to starvation-induced stress. | Hongzhen PAN Honghong CHEN Lianjiu ZHU Yang LI Changchun LI Shengzhou ZHANG | 2009 | Current Zoology2009,55,4: | 4 |
| 6 | Proximal development,systematic taxonomy,and dispersal pattern of the Early-Middle Ordovician graptolite Acrograptus from South China显示文摘Based on the well-preserved specimens from the Nanba section in Yiyang,Hunan Province,the definition of the graptolite genus Acrograptus is revised here.The revised Acrograptus is a dichograptid form with stipes subhorizontal to deeply declined,sicula long and slender;th1 1 budding from the top of the metasicula,proximal development of isograptid type with th1 2 as the dicalycal theca;asymmetric proximal end resulting from the divergence of th1 1 and th1 2 from the sicula at different levels;slender crossing canals composed of extremely slender prothecae of th1 1 and th1 2.According to the revised definition,Acrograptus is assigned to the subfamily Sigmagraptinae of the family Dichograptidae,including six species,i.e.,A.affinis (Nicholson),A.filiformis (Tullberg),A.gracilis (Trnquist),A.nicholsoni (Lapworth),A.pusillus (Tullberg),and A.saukros (Ni).During the Early-Middle Ordovician,these six species were widely distributed in South China,especially in the Upper Yangtze Region as well as the central and eastern Jiangnan Region.This study further indicates that Acrograptus first appeared in a deep-water setting on the Jiangnan Slope in South China during early Floian (Tetragraptus approximatus Biozone),and subsequently expanded into the shallow-water region on the Yangtze Platform due to a remarkable dispersion event in middle Floian (Pendeograptus fruticosus Biozone).It is here indicated that the dispersal of Acrograptus may be directly controlled by the large-scale transgression event occurring in middle Floian. | LI LiXia FENG HongZhen WANG WenHui CHEN WenJian | 2012 | Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,7: | 4 |

| 8 | Highly stable lithium anode enabled by self-assembled monolayer of dihexadecanoalkyl phosphate显示文摘Li has been considered as the ultimate anode material for high energy density secondary Li batteries.However,its practical application has been limited due to its low Coulombic efficiency(CE)and the formation of lithium dendrites.Recently,we have developed a microspherical Li-carbon nanotube(Li-CNT)composite material passivated with octadecylphosphonic acid(OPA)self-assembled monolayer(SAM)exhibiting suppressed lithium dendrite formation and improved environmental/electrochemical stability.In this work,we demonstrated the significantly enhanced passivation effects of a SAM using dihexadecanoalkyl phosphate(DHP),a molecule that is comprised of double hydrophobic alkyl chains and forms a denser SAM on surfaces with large curvature.As a result,the DHP SAM delivers superior environmental and electrochemical stability to the OPA passivated Li-CNT material.In specific,the DHP passivated Li-CNT composite(DHP-Li-CNT)delivers a high CE of 99.25%under a 33.3%depth of discharge(DOD)at 1 C,when it is paired with a LiFePO4 cathode.The evolution of the SAM during cycling and the effects of DOD and current density on the CE of the DHP-Li-CNT anode have also been investigated.The improved SAM passivation constitutes an important step in achieving the goal of practically applicable Li anodes. | Lei Zheng Feng Guo Tuo Kang Jin Yang Ya Liu Wei Gu Yanfei Zhao Hongzhen Lin Yanbin Shen Wei Lu Liwei Chen | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,5: | 1 |

Interface engineering is an efficient way to modulate the electronic structure, tune the intermediate adsorption, and expose more active sites. Herein, we increased the concentration of interfacial sites with rich defects in a 3D hierarchical nanostructured NiO-Co3O4 electrocatalyst and investigated its catalytic performance for HMF electro-oxidation. The interface effect created abundant cation vacancies, modulated the electronic properties of Co and Ni atoms, and raised the oxidation state of Ni species. The NiO-Co3O4 catalysts show superb HMF oxidation activities with a low onset potential of 1.28 VRHE.Meanwhile, in-situ surface-selective vibrational spectroscopy of sum-frequency generation was performed to study the reaction pathway during the oxidation process on the electrocatalysts. | 19 | Inverse design and accurate optimization of layered structured seeding mechanism for sugarcane planters显示文摘Existing sugarcane planters are difficult to have ideal seeding trajectory and motion attitude at the same time, and the speed is difficult to meet the requirements at the critical stage, resulting in poor stability, which ultimately makes it impossible to ensure that the sugarcane seeding is carried out in accordance with the agronomic requirements to ensure that the cane buds are oriented toward the wall of the seeding trench. Aiming at the second-order non-circular planetary gear system pendulum seeding mechanism of the planter, the paper innovatively adopts the combination of inverse design and multi-objective layered accurate optimization to solve the problems of attitude, speed and trajectory that do not meet the requirements of fixed-attitude seeding that still exists in the process of sugarcane seeding. The second-order non-circular planetary gear system is simplified into a three-rod two-degree-of-freedom mechanism, and the radius of the pitch curve of each non-circular gear is solved inversely by actively preplanning the static trajectory of the cane seed motion and analyzing the law of motion of the rod assembly. Determining the range of cane seed attitude angles in different motion phases as the first layer optimization objective, and fine-tuning the position of static trajectory key type value points to achieve the first layer optimization. Based on the non-circular gear pitch curve obtained from optimization, the interpolation points are marked on each non-circular gear pitch curve of the second-order non-circular planetary gear system, and based on the parameter optimization method of human-computer interaction, the radius values corresponding to the interpolation points of the non-circular gear pitch curve are fine-tuned to optimize the pitch curves, so as to satisfy the speed requirements of the cane species in each stage, and at the same time to make the convexity of non-circular gears in line with the principle of gear mesh, so as to complete the second layer of accurate optimization. The results of simulation verification show that the motion trajectory attitude of the virtual prototype is basically consistent with the theoretical model, which verifies the feasibility of the mechanism design. | 20 | Preparation of the selenome-thionine derivative of tab-toxin resistance protein显示文摘In order to obtain phase information for the X-ray diffraction of tabtoxin resistance protein (TTR) crystal using the MAD phasing method, a selenomethionine (Se-Met) derivative of TTR was overexpressed in E. coli strain M15, with pQE-30 plasmid, through IPTG induction in M9 medium containing Se-Met. The product was purified to an estimated homogeneity of greater than 95% according to SDS-PAGE, by a Ni-NTA metal affinity followed by a Mono Q anion exchange column chromatography. The successful substitution of Se-Met for methionine (Met) was confirmed by MALDI-TOF and ESI-Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry analysis.
