1Self-reduction Mechanism of Coal Composite Stainless Steel Dust Hot Briquette显示文摘To efficiently recycle valuable metals such as chromium and nickel in stainless steel dust,self-reduction experiments were carried out to study the reduction mechanism of metal oxides in coal composite stainless steel dust hot briquette,which is defined as a CCSB here.Self-reduction of CCSB is proceeded by volatile matter and fixed carbon contained within CCSB.Experiments were performed to study the effects of temperature and carbon to oxygen(C/O_(Coal))ratio on self-reduction of CCSB.At 1 400 and 1 450℃,volatile matter in coal used for experiment could take the place of about 40% of fixed carbon in coal.Under the present experimental conditions,reduction product of chromium appears as FeCr_2O_4,Cr_2O_3,Cr_7C_3,and[Cr]in turn during reduction.To evaluate the formation of metal nuggets in self-reduction process of CCSB,metal nuggets containing chromium and nickel were observed in outside of reduction products under various conditions,and thermodynamic equilibrium calculation was carried out for possible products and formation of molten metal by fixed carbon.SEM and EDS analyses were made for metal nugget and slag in reduced product.The results reveal that it is reasonable to achieve the metal nuggets at 1 450 ℃,0.8 of C/OCoalratio and 20 min of reduction time.The nugget formation can indicate one innovative process for comprehensive utilization of stainless steel dust.Sok-chol RI Man-sheng CHU Shuang-yin CHEN Zheng-gen LIU Hun HONG 2016Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2016,23,4:6
2Bioreduction of nitrate in groundwater using a pilot-scale hydrogen-based membrane biofilm reactor显示文摘A long-term pilot-scale H_(2)-based membrane biofilm reactor(MBfR)was tested for removal of nitrate from actual groundwater.A key feature of this secondgeneration pilot MBfR is that it employed lower cost polyester hollow fibers and still achieved high loading rate.The steady-state maximum nitrate surface loading at which the effluent nitrate and nitrite concentrations were below the Maximum Contaminant Level(MCL)was at least 5.9 g·N·(m^(2)·d)^(–1),which corresponds to a maximum volumetric loading of at least 7.7 kg·N·(m^(3)·d)^(–1).The steady-state maximum nitrate surface area loading was higher than the highest nitrate surface loading reported in the firstgeneration MBfRs using composite fibers(2.6 g·N·(m^(2)·d)^(–1)).This work also evaluated the H_(2)-utilization efficiency in MBfR.The measured H_(2)supply rate was only slightly higher than the stoichiometric H_(2)-utilization rate.Thus,H_(2)utilization was controlled by diffusion and was close to 100%efficiency,as long as biofilm accumulated on the polyester-fiber surface and the fibers had no leaks.Youneng TANG Michal ZIV-EL Chen ZHOU Jung Hun SHIN Chang Hoon AHN Kerry MEYER Daniel CANDELARIA David FRIESE Ryan OVERSTREET Rick SCOTT Bruce ERITTMANN 2010Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2010,4,3:4
3Enzyme-mediated hydrolytic activation of prodrugs显示文摘Prodrug design is an important part of drug discovery.Prodrugs can offer many advantages over parent drugs such as increased solubility,enhanced stability,improved bioavailability,reduced side effects,and better selectivity.Many prodrugs have been used successfully in the clinic;examples include oseltamivir in anti-influenza therapy,enalapril in anti-hypertension therapy,capecitabine in cancer therapy,and omeprazole in the treatment of peptic ulcer.A key step in prodrug design is the incorporation of an activation mechanism that can convert the prodrug into the active species in an efficient and/or controlled manner to meet the needs of a given medical application.Prodrug activation can be achieved through enzyme-mediated hydrolytic or oxidoreductive processes while activation of some prodrugs may proceed through pure chemical nonenzymatic processes.This review focuses on the hydrolytic enzymes that have been used in prodrug activation,including transferases,hydrolases,and lyases.Yan-hui Yang Herve Aloysius Daigo Inoyama Yu Chen Long-qin Hun 2011Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2011,1,3:2
