1Tectonic and Environmental Evolutions of the Northern Tibetan Plateau Prior to the Collision of India with Asia显示文摘Tectonic and environmental patterns and evolution of the present North Tibetan Plateau(NTP) prior to the India collision with Asia is significant to understand the formation of the Tibetan Plateau and its influence on the environment. In this study, we integrated and analyzed the tectonostratigraphy and the special sedimentary layers whose climatic implications are clear in the NTP. Additionally, we stressed the tectonic and environmental events and their evolutions from the Mesozoic to the Early Cenozoic. Our results show that four tectonic phases, which sequentially took place during the Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous and Paleogene, played an important role on the formation of the North Tibet. The climate was basically dry and hot from the Triassic to the Eocene and became dry and cool since the Oligocene in this region. The climatic evolution was characterized by a transition from a wet and hot phase during the Triassic- Middle Jurassic, to a dry and hot phase during the Late Jurassic- Eocene. Both phases encompassed 5 wet and hot periods followed by 5 dry and hot climate events, respectively. In addition, we found that the tectonic deformation and the climatic conditions were spatially and temporally different. In detail, in the regions north of the PaleoTian Shan and Paleo-Qilian Mts. the tectonic deformation and climatic condition were stronger and wetter than in regions south of the Paleo-Tian Shan and Paleo-Qilian Mts. during the Late Triassic – Jurassic. Whereas in the Cretaceous, the tectonic movement was intensive in the west but steady in the east, and climate was dry in the south but wet in the north of NTP. The formation of the tectonic and climatic patterns in NTP were the consequence of either global climate change or regional tectonics, including the Paleo-Asian Ocean closure and the Qiangtang block, Lhasa block and India plate collision subsequently to Asia. 2Ordered two-dimensional porous Co3O4 nanosheets as electrocatalysts for rechargeable Li-O2 batteries显示文摘Lithium-oxygen batteries have attracted considerable interest in the past a few years, because they have higher theoretical specific energy than Li-ion batteries. However, the available en ergy den sities of the Li-O2 batteries are much less than expected. It is particularly urgent to find catalyst with high activity. Herein, a series of Co3O4 with differe nt morphologies (ordered two-dimensio nal porous nano sheets, flowerlike and cuboidlike) were successfully prepared through facile hydrothermal and calcinatio n methods. Ordered two-dime nsional Co3O4 nano sheets show the best cycling stability. Detailed experimental results reveal that the superiority of the unique two-dimensional uniform porous structures is vital for Li-O2 batteries cathode catalysts. 10A multiscale polymerization framework towards network structure and fracture of double-network hydrogels显示文摘Double-network(DN)hydrogels,consisting of two contrasting and interpenetrating polymer networks,are considered as perhaps the toughest soft-wet materials.Current knowledge of DN gels from synthesis methods to toughening mechanisms almost exclusively comes from chemically-linked DN hydrogels by experiments.Molecular modeling and simulations of inhomogeneous DN structure in hydrogels have proved to be extremely challenging.Herein,we developed a new multiscale simulation platform to computationally investigate the early fracture of physically-chemically linked agar/polyacrylamide(agar/PAM)DN hydrogels at a long timescale.A“random walk reactive polymerization”(RWRP)was developed to mimic a radical polymerization process,which enables to construct a physically-chemically linked agar/PAM DN hydrogel from monomers,while conventional and steered MD simulations were conducted to examine the structural-dependent energy dissipation and fracture behaviors at the relax and deformation states.Collective simulation results revealed that energy dissipation of agar/PAM hydrogels was attributed to a combination of the pulling out of agar chains from the DNs,the disruption of massive hydrogen bonds between and within DN structures,and the strong association of water molecules with both networks,thus explaining a different mechanical enhancement of agar/PAM hydrogels.This computational work provided atomic details of network structure,dynamics,solvation,and interactions of a hybrid DN hydrogel,and a different structural-dependent energy dissipation mode and fracture behavior of a hybrid DN hydrogel,which help to design tough hydrogels with new network structures and efficient energy dissipation modes.Additionally,the RWRP algorithm can be generally applied to construct the radical polymerization-produced hydrogels,elastomers,and polymers.Mingzhen Zhang Dong Zhang Hong Chen Yanxian Zhang Yonglan Liu Baiping Ren Jie Zheng 2021npj Computational Materials2021,,1:1

14Taxonomic Clarification of A Well-Known Pathogenic Scuticociliate,Miamiensis avidus Thompson&Moewus,1964(Ciliophora,Scuticociliatia)显示文摘Miamiensis avidus Thompson & Moewus,1964,is a cosmopolitan and well-known marine pathogenic ciliated protist.However,the taxonomy of this species up to now has remained controversial,especially with respect to the validity of the morphologically similar species,Philasterides dicentrarchi,which was considered as a junior synonym of M.avidus.In this study,a population of M.avidus was collected from the skin of pharaoh cuttlefish(Sepia pharaonis) cultured near the East China Sea,Ningbo,China and its morphology and phylogeny were investigated in detail based on living characters,infraciliature,small subunit(SSU) r DNA and ITS1-5.8 S-ITS2 region sequences.In addition,the morphometrics of a previously reported free-living population,collected from the Bohai Sea,were rechecked and analyzed.We compared the present two isolates with all historic populations of M.avidus and P.dicentrarchi,and found that their morphological characters were either highly similar or exactly identical,indicating that they are the same morphospecies.However,the phylogenetic analyses based on SSU r DNA or ITS1-5.8 S-ITS2 region sequences revealed that most M.avidus and P.dicentrarchi populations formed one clade,and the two isolates of M.avidus from Weifang and American Type Culture Collection clustered in another clade,which indicated that there might be cryptic species in Miamiensis avidus.MA Mingzhen LU Borong FAN Xinpeng SHI Yuhong CHEN Xiangmi 2018Journal of Ocean University of China2018,17,5:1
15Building a domain-specific compiler for emerging processors with a reusable approach显示文摘High-performance computing and deep learning domains have been motivating the design of domain-specific processors.Although these processors can provide promising computation capability,they are notorious for exotic programming paradigms.To improve programming productivity and fully exploit the performance potential of these processors,domain-specific compilers(DSCs)have been proposed.However,building DSCs for emerging processors requires tremendous engineering efforts because the commonly used compilation stack is difficult to be reused.Owing to the advent of multilevel intermediate representation(MLIR),DSC developers can leverage reusable infrastructure to extend their customized functionalities without rebuilding the entire compilation stack.In this paper,we further demonstrate the effectiveness of MLIR by extending its reusable infrastructure to embrace a heterogeneous many-core processor(Sunway processor).In particular,we design a new Sunway dialect and corresponding backend for the Sunway processor,fully exploiting its architectural advantage and hiding its programming complexity.To show the ease of building a DSC,we leverage the Sunway dialect and existing MLIR dialects to build a stencil compiler for the Sunway processor.The experimental results show that our stencil compiler,built with a reusable approach,can even perform better than state-of-the-art stencil compilers.Mingzhen LI Yi LIU Bangduo CHEN Hailong YANG Zhongzhi LUAN Depei QIAN 2024Science China(Information Sciences)2024,67,1:0
16Controlling the mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of biomedical TiZrNb alloys by combining recrystallization and spinodal decomposition显示文摘Excellent comprehensive mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of TiZrNb equiatomic ratio medium-entropy alloy were obtained through recrystallization and spinodal decomposition.In addition to solid solution strengthening and recrystallization,the excellent mechanical properties can also be attributed to the hindering effect of nanoprecipitation formed via spinodal decomposition on the movement of dislocations.The high atomic arrangement density due to spinodal decomposition reduces the surface energy of the alloy passivation film,thereby increasing the activation energy of dissolution and the bonding energy between atoms,which improve the corrosion resistance and stability of the alloy passivation film.This work provides a new strategy to control the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance by combining recrystallization and spinodal decomposition.Pengfei Ji Bohan Chen Shuguang Liu Bo Li Chaoqun Xia Xinyu Zhang Mingzhen Ma Riping Liu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,15:0
17Heteroatom dopant strategy triggered high-potential plateau to non-graphitized carbon with highly disordered microstructure for high-performance sodium ion storage显示文摘Non-graphitized carbon(NGC)has been extensively utilized as carbonaceous anode in sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).However,more optimization to achieve competitive capacity and stability is still challenging for SIBs.In the study,the dopant strategy is utilized to construct nitrogen/sulfur-doped non-graphitized carbon(N-NGC or S-NGC)shell decorated on three-dimensional graphene foam(GF)as a self-support electrode.The highly disordered microstructures of heteroatom doped carbons are produced by applying a low-temperature pyrolysis treatment to precursors containing nitrogen and sulfur.The DFT calculations of Na-ion adsorption energies at diverse heteroatom sites show marginal-S,pyrrolic N and pyridinic N with more intensive Na-ion adsorption ability than middle-S,C=O and pristine carbon.The N-NGC with dominant small graphitic regions delivers adsorption ability to Na-ion,while the S-NGC with significant single carbon lattice stripes demonstrates redox reaction with Na-ion.Evidently,in comparison with only adsorption-driven slope regions at high potential for N-NGC,the redox reaction-generated potentialplateau enables non-graphitized S-NGC superior discharge/charge capacity and cycle-stability in the slope region.This work could provide deep insight into the rational design of non-graphitized carbon with rich microstructure and composition.Peilin Zhang Chen Huang Mingzhen Xiu Siyu Zhu Weiwei Wang Bo Zhu Likang Qin Yizhong Huang Luyang Chen 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,4:0
18Dynamic Response Analysis of Semi-Submersible Floating Wind Turbine with Different Wave Conditions显示文摘To address the problem of poor wave resistance of existing offshore floating wind turbines,a new type of semisubmersible platform with truncated-cone-type upper pontoons is proposed by combining the characteristics of offshore wind turbine semi-submersible floating platforms.Based on the coupled hydrodynamic,aerodynamic,and mooring force physical fields of FAST,the surge,heave,pitch,and yaw motions responses of the floating wind turbine under different wave heights and periods are obtained,and the mooring line tension responses are also obtained;and compare the dynamic response of the new semi-submersible platform with the OC4-DeepCwind platformat six degrees of freedom.The results show that different wave conditions have obvious effects on the heave and pitch motions of the new floating wind turbine,and fewer effects on the surge and yaw motions;the tensegrity response of the mooring system is more affected by the wave conditions;compared with the OC4-DeepCwind floating wind turbine,the pitch and roll response of the new floating wind turbine has been significantly reduced and has good stability.Mingzhen Jiang Guanghui Qiao Jiwen Chen Xuemei Huang Leian Zhang Yongshuang Wen Yuhuan Zhang 2023Energy Engineering2023,120,11:0

20Influence of Nb addition on microstructural evolution and compression mechanical properties of Ti-Zr alloys显示文摘In order to expand the application horizon of Ti-Zr based alloys,the influence of Nb content on phase composition,microstructural evolution and biomechanical properties is systematically studied.The phase and microstructural characterization of the as-cast alloys is carried out by X-ray diffraction,optical microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.The results reveal that Nb-containing Ti-Zr alloys transformed from single a phase→α+α'+β phase single β phase double β phases with increasing Nb content.In the case of β-type alloys,the addition of Nb improves the bonding energy between atoms,reduces the grain size,increases the elastic modulus,improves the yield strength and renders superior work-hardening behavior.Moreover,the current study provides mechanistic insights into microstructural evolution and strengthening of Nb-containing Ti-Zr alloys with increasing Nb content.Herein,the addition of 5 at.% Nb resulted in an abnormal work hardening during compression deformation under the synergistic influence of stress-induced martensite transformation of β phase and stress-induced twinning of α phase.Moreover,the biomechanical properties are evaluated to demonstrate the potential of Nb-containing Ti-Zr alloys in biological applications.Pengfei Ji Bohan Chen Bo Li Yihao Tang Guofeng Zhang Xinyu Zhang Mingzhen Ma Riping Liu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,10:0
