4Peculiar aging response of near β Ti-25 Nb-2Mo-4Sn alloy for biomedical applications显示文摘In this paper,aging response of a recently developed near β Ti-25Nb-2Mo-4Sn(wt%) alloy with high strength and low modulus was investigated intensively.The experimental results from X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy showed that the aging production of the Ti-2524 alloy was(β+ω) or(β+α) even under the same aging treatment condition,depending on the pre-treatments prior to the aging.Solid evidence confirmed the competition between stable α phase and metastable ω phase during the decomposition of β phase on aging.Different aging response of Ti-2524 alloy can be attributed to high-density dislocations and grain boundaries which suppress the formation of ω,and alternatively promote a phase formation.This provides a thermo-mechanical approach to inhibit deleterious ω phase formation and assist fine α phase precipitation.Upon an appropriate aging treatment,superior mechanical properties of high ultimate tensile strength(1233 MPa) and low elastic modulus(77 GPa) were achieved in Ti-2524 alloy.Shun Guo Bin Chen Qingkun Meng Ruiwen Zhao Xinqing Zhao 2013Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2013,23,1:1
5Effects of Overwintering on the Survival and Vector Competence of Aedes albopictus in the Urban Life Cycle of Dengue Virus in Guangzhou,China显示文摘The Pearl River Delta,where Aedes albopictus(Ae.albopictus)is the only vector for dengue transmission,has exhibited one of the highest dengue burdens in southern China in recent decades.However,whether dengue virus(DENV)can overwinter in Ae.albopictus in the Pearl River Delta has not been determined to date.In this study,300 field-derived Ae.albopictus mosquitoes from Guangzhou that were infected with the predominant endemic DENV-1 strain were investigated under simulated urban balcony environment from October 16,2016,to June 16,2017.The vertical transmission of DENV in the infected overwintering Ae.albopictus was analyzed.The DENV infected overwintering mosquitoes were evaluated for viral load at nine-time points using reverse transcription-quantitative PCR.The vector competence of the infected overwintering Ae.albopictus was also investigated by using suckling mice.Adult mosquitoes and larvae were found during the observation period.The vertical transmission of DENV-1 was documented.The DENV-1-positive rates between overwintering males and females had no difference.The proportion of DENV-1-positive overwintering mosquitoes decreased over time and had no difference beyond three months after the experiment.Overwintering mosquitoes can spread DENV-1 to hosts.No engorged mosquitoes at an ambient temperature below 15℃were observed.The ratio of engorged mosquitoes was positively correlated with the ambient temperature ranging from 15 to 30℃.Our results demonstrated that DENV can overwinter in Ae.albopictus in the Pearl River Delta,Ae.albopictus is the competent vector for DENV,and maintain autochthonous dengue outbreaks in the Pearl River Delta through vertical transmission.Yue Chen Ronghua Chen Jianrong Gao Chunyuan Li Jun Liu Zhijian Zhou Ruiwen Ren 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,4:1

7Vapor phase epitaxy of PbS single-crystal films on water-soluble substrates and application to photodetectors显示文摘Lead sulfide(PbS),a typical functional semiconductor material,has attracted serious attention due to its great potential in optoelectronics applications.However,controllable growth of PbS single-crystal film still remains a great challenge.Here,we report heteroepitaxial growth of large-scale highly crystalline PbS films on alkali salt(NaCl and KCl)substrates via chemical vapor deposition(CVD).Structural characterizations demonstrate that the as-grown PbS films exhibit an atomically sharp interface with the underlying substrates.The epitaxial relationships between the epilayers and substrates were determined to be PbS(100)//NaCl(100)or KCl(100),PbS[010]//NaCl[010]or KCl[010].Owing to the high solubility of alkali salt,the epitaxial PbS films can be rapidly released from the underlying substrates and transferred to other substrates of interest while maintaining good integrity and crystallinity,the process of which is particularly attractive in the fields of electronics and optoelectronics.Furthermore,photodetectors based on the transferred PbS films were fabricated,exhibiting a high photoresponsivity of 7.5 A/W,a detectivity of 1.44×10^(12)Jones,and a rapid response time of approximately 0.25 s.This work sheds light on the batch production,green transfer,and optoelectronic application of PbS films.Yifan Wang Jing Xia Xuanze Li Fan Ru Xue Chen Ze Hua Ruiwen Shao Xuecong Wang Wenjun Zhang Chun-Sing Lee Xiangmin Meng 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:1

16Effect of modified Wendan Decoction on enteric glia cells in depression model rats显示文摘Background:To explore the effect of modified Wendan Decoction on expression of enteric glial cells in depression model rats.Methods:Eighteen rats were randomly divided into the Blank group,Model group,and modified Wendan Decoction group(Decoction group).Depression was induced by isolation combined with chronic unpredictable mild stress in rats of all groups except for the Blank group.Changes of protein and mRNA expressions of the specific markers of enteric glial cells,glial fibrillary acidic protein,and S100 calcium-binding proteinβsubunit(S100β)in the stomach and colon tissues of rats in each group were detected respectively using immunohistochemistry and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results:Compared with the Blank group,the percentage of positive cells and the mRNA expression of GFAP and S100βwere increased in the Model group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);compared with the Model group,the percentage of positive cells and the mRNA expression of GFAP and S100βin gastrointestinal tissues of rats were decreased in the Decoction group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The depression model rats developed hyperplasia,and enteric glial cells(EGCs)was activated.The mechanism of action of the Wendan Decoction on improving depression and promoting gastrointestinal motility may be achieved by inhibiting the hyperplasia and activation of EGCs in rats with depression.Ruiwen Song Yunsha Zhang Pengjuan Xu Shanyan Yin Zidong Wen Shenjun Wang Ying Chen Lei Xu Liping Zhang 2021TMR Pharmacology Research2021,1,4:0
17Research progresses of fibers in asphalt and cement materials:A review显示文摘Asphalt mixtures and cement concrete are an important material in the construction of roads,highways and buildings,and there has been a lot of research about the improvement of their performance.Among them,fibers are commonly used in the construction industry because of their superior properties as reinforcing materials that can provide a proper interfacial action between the fibers and the substrate.This review classifies fibers into natural fibers,inorganic fibers and polymer fibers according to their sources and properties.It summarizes and compares the characteristics,modification methods,usage requirements and research status of each type of fiber in asphalt and cement construction materials,and analyzes the problems and challenges faced by fibers in their applications.The evaluation results show that various types of fibers can enhance the fracture resistance,tensile strength and rutting resistance of asphalt to a certain extent,improve the high temperature performance and viscoelasticity of asphalt,and have a certain effect on the fatigue resistance and road water resistance of asphalt mixes.The fibers also provide better tensile,compressive and abrasion resistance to cement concrete and improve the brittleness and crack resistance of ordinary cement.Besides,for some defects of various types of fibers in construction materials,such as biodegradability,dispersibility and surface inertness of fibers,the targeted modification of fibers is introduced based on physical and chemical modification methods to improve the performance impact of modified fibers in various conditions of application.Jing Li Ling Yang Lu He Ruiwen Guo Xinyu Li Youchao Chen Yaseen Muhammad Yu Liu 2023Journal of Road Engineering2023,3,1:0
