| 2 | Enrichment of heavy metals in coal gangue by puff balls and mechanism research显示文摘Coal gangue with/without wild puff balls growing on or covering up were analyzed by means of inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES) and atomic fluorescence spectrometry(AFS) to detect the contents of heavy metal elements in the plants. Seven heavy metals were chosen to do the experiments, which showed that the puff balls have strong enrichment capacity for heavy metals(As, Pb, Mn and Ni). The highest enrichment level was Mn, 220.3 mg/kg(dry weight) for puffball fruiting bodies, and the highest As, Cr and Pb enrichment levels for puffball mycelium were 111, 265.3 and 86 mg/kg, respectively. Cd, Mn and Ni could transfer from puffball mycelium to its fruiting bodies, while As, Cr, Pb and Co mainly accumulated in the mycelium. The contents of five organic acids(tartaric acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid, citric acid and malic acid) in puffballs were determined with high performance liquid chromatography. With water, ethanol and ethyl acetate as solvents, the puffball extracts performed dissolution reactions with coal gangue, in which the water extract(containing a large amount of organic acids) was most effective in releasing heavy metals, especially As, Pb, Cr, Mn, Co and Ni from coal gangue. | 8 | Management of post-stroke neuropsychiatric disorders显示文摘Post-stroke neuropsychiatric(NP) disorders are common and have complex etiologies.Multiple factors such as lesion location, personality characteristics, socioeconomic status, pre-stroke psychiatric history, and family support are the determining factors in most cases. Although depression and anxiety are more common, emotional incontinence and catastrophic reactions are also frequently observed. Post-stroke depression(PSD)has been associated with an increased risk of stroke recurrence. Despite its serious consequences and high prevalence, PSD remains undetected and untreated. Treatment options of NP disorders depend on severity, presentation at the time of diagnosis, and patient cooperation, and include antidepressants, mood stabilizers, exercise therapy, psychotherapy, and even revascularization. The efficient management of NP disorders improves outcomes, quality of life, and survival rates in post-stroke patients. | 11 | Infl uence of sequential tropical cyclones on phytoplankton blooms in the northwestern South China Sea显示文摘Upper ocean responses to the passage of sequential tropical cyclones over the northwestern South China Sea(SCS)in 2011 were investigated using satellite remote sensing data,Argo reanalysis data,and an array of mooring data.We found that the sea surface low temperature region lasted for more than 38 days and two phytoplankton blooms occurred after the passage of sequential tropical cyclones.The upper ocean cooling reached 2–5°C with a right-side bias was observed along the typhoon track to about 200 km.The maintenance of low temperature region and the two phytoplankton blooms were mainly driven by upwelling and near-inertial turbulence mixing induced by the sequential tropical cyclones.The fi rst phytoplankton bloom appeared on the 7 th day after the passage of the three tropical cyclones,and the chlorophyll-a(chl-a)concentration increased by 226%,which may be mainly driven by typhoons induced upwelling.The second phytoplankton bloom occurred on the 30 th day,the chl-a concentration increased by 290%.Further analysis suggested that only the typhoons with similar characteristics as Nesat and Nalgae can induce strong near-inertial oscillation(NIO).Strong turbulent mixing associated with the near-inertial baroclinic shear instability lasted for 26 days.The measured mean eddy diff usivity in the upper ocean was above 10-4 m 2/s after typhoon Nesat.Enhancement of the turbulent mixing in the upper ocean helped to transport nutrient-rich cold waters from the deep layer to the euphotic layer,and is a major mechanism for the long-term maintenance of low temperature region as well as the second phytoplankton bloom. | Tongyu WANG Shuwen ZHANG Fajin CHEN Yonggui MA Chen JIANG Jie YU | 2021 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,1: | 1 |

| 20 | Encapsulation of polyethylene glycol in cellulose-based porous capsules for latent heat storage and light-to-thermal conversion显示文摘Phase change materials are potential candidates for the application of latent heat storage.Herein,we fabricated porous capsules as shape-stable materials from cellulose-based polyelectrolyte complex,which were first prepared using cellulose 6-(N-pyridinium)hexanoyl ester as the cationic polyelectrolyte and carboxymethyl cellulose as the anionic polyelectrolyte to encapsulate polyethylene glycol by the vacuum impregnation method.Furthermore,the multi-walled carbon nanotube or graphene oxide,which were separately composited into the polyelectrolytes complex capsules to enhance thermal conductivity and light-to-thermal conversion efficiency.These capsules owned a typical core–shell structure,with an extremely high polyethylene glycol loading up to 34.33 g∙g^(‒1).After loading of polyethylene glycol,the resulted cellulose-based composite phase change materials exhibited high thermal energy storage ability with the latent heat up to 142.2 J∙g^(‒1),which was 98.5%of pure polyethylene glycol.Further results showed that the composite phase change materials demonstrated good form-stable property and thermal stability.Moreover,studies involving light-to-thermal conversion determined that composite phase change materials exhibited outstanding light-to-thermal conversion performance.Considering their exceptional comprehensive features,innovative composite phase change materials generated from cellulose presented a highly interesting choice for thermal management and renewable thermal energy storage. | Jiangwei Li Lina Meng Jiaxuan Chen Xu Chen Yonggui Wang Zefang Xiao Haigang Wang Daxin Liang Yanjun Xie | 2023 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,8: | 0 |
