1Phylogenetic and genetic characterization of a 2017 clinical isolate of H7N9 virus in Guangzhou,China during the fifth epidemic wave显示文摘Pathogenic H7N9 influenza viruses continue to pose a public health concern. The H7N9 virus has caused five outbreak waves of human infections in China since 2013. In the present study, a novel H7N9 strain(A/Guangdong/8 H324/2017) was isolated from a female patient with severe respiratory illness during the fifth wave of the 2017 H7N9 epidemic. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the H7N9 viruses collected during the fifth wave belong to two different lineages: the Pearl River Delta lineage and the Yangtze River Delta lineage. The novel isolate is closely related to the Pearl River Delta H7N9 viruses, which were isolated from patients in Guangdong Province. The novel H7N9 isolate has an insertion of three basic amino acids in the cleavage site of hemagglutinin(HA), which may enhance virulence in poultry. The 2017 isolate also possesses an R292 K substitution in the neuraminidase(NA)protein, which confers oseltamivir resistance. 4Biochar aerogel-based electrocatalyst towards efficient oxygen evolution in acidic media显示文摘The controllable synthesis of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)electrocatalyst is an urgent need to advance the develop-ment of sustainable energy conversion and storage.However,the OER efficiency in acidic media is seriously hindered by slow reaction kinetics.The traditional acidic OER electrocatalysts are more prone to be oxidized and corroded as results of unstable carrier structures and variable electronic states of active species.Herein,a high-performing biochar aerogel(BA)based electrocatalyst were realistically designed and synthetized via joint utilization of the terrestrial lignin and seaweed polysaccharide as carbon sources.Originating from the induction effect of'egg-box'structure in alginate and the self-template effect of lignosulfonate,the BA decorated with Ru/RuS_(2)particles was synthesized triumphantly.The as-synthesized electrocatalyst required a low overpotential of 228 mV to attain 10 mA cm^(−2)in 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4)and exhibited a good stability for over 12,000 s.The good activity was strongly dependent on the assembled unique two-dimensional/three-dimensional(2D/3D)channels in carbon aerogels.Notably,the numerous defective sites at carbon could strongly interact with the Ru/RuS_(2)heterojunction for remarkably enhancing the catalytic activity and stability of whole catalytic system in acidic media.This work puts forward a novel and effective strategy towards the enhancement of the acidic OER process by rational regu-lations of the BA and the coupling effect in micro-interface.Bin Hui Hongjiao Chen Chengfeng Zhou Liping Cai Kewei Zhang Fengyu Quan Dongjiang Yang 2022Biochar2022,4,1:0
5A redox-responsive self-assembling COA-4-arm PEG prodrug nanosystem for dual drug delivery suppresses cancer metastasis and drug resistance by downregulating hsp90 expression显示文摘Metastasis and resistance are main causes to affect the outcome of the current anticancer therapies.Heat shock protein 90(Hsp90)as an ATP-dependent molecular chaperone takes important role in the tumor metastasis and resistance.Targeting Hsp90 and downregulating its expression show promising in inhibiting tumor metastasis and resistance.In this study,a redox-responsive dual-drug nanocarrier was constructed for the effective delivery of a commonly used chemotherapeutic drug PTX,and a COAmodified 4-arm PEG polymer(4PSC)was synthesized.COA,an active component in oleanolic acid that exerts strong antitumor activity by downregulating Hsp90 expression,was used as a structural and functional element to endow 4PSC with redox responsiveness and Hsp90 inhibitory activity.Our results showed that 4PSC/PTX nanomicelles efficiently delivered PTX and COA to tumor locations without inducing systemic toxicity.By blocking the Hsp90 signaling pathway,4PSC significantly enhanced the antitumor effect of PTX,inhibiting tumor proliferation and invasiveness as well as chemotherapy-induced resistance in vitro.Remarkable results were further confirmed in vivo with two preclinical tumor models.These findings demonstrate that the COA-modified 4PSC drug delivery nanosystem provides a potential platform for enhancing the efficacy of chemotherapies.Yi Zhou Yingling Miao Qiudi Huang Wenwen Shi Jiacui Xie Jiachang Lin Pei Huang Chengfeng Yue Yuan Qin Xiyong Yu He Wang Linghao Qin Jianhai Chen 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,7:0
