| 1 | Operation of the CSNS Penning surface H^- ion source显示文摘The accelerator complex of the China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) consists of a H- linear accelerator (linac) and a rapid cycling synchrotron (RCS). The linac contains a Penning surface H- ion source. The designed energy and the beam current of the source are 50 keV and 20 mA respectively, with a normalized root mean square (norm. rms.) emittance of 0.2π mm mrad. The manufactures and tests of the discharge chamber are in great progress. The construction of H- ion source test stand has been completed, and the operation of the source is also in progress. Stable H- ion beams with energy of 50 keV and current up to 50 mA are attained. | 4 | Status of the IHEP 1.3 GHz superconducting RF program显示文摘The 1.3 GHz superconducting radio-frequency (SRF) technology is one of the key technologies for the ILC and future XFEL and ERL projects in China. With the aim to develop 1.3 GHz SRF technology, IHEP has started a program to build an SRF Accelerating Unit. This unit contains a 9-cell 1.3 GHz superconducting cavity, a short cryomodule, a high power input coupler, a tuner and a low level RF system. This program also includes the SRF laboratory upgrade, which will permit the unit to be built and tested at IHEP. The unit will be used for the 1.3 GHz SRF system integration study, high power horizontal test and possible beam test in the future. In this paper, we report the recent R&D status of this program. The first large grain low-loss shape 9-cell superconducting RF cavity made by IHEP reached 20 MV/m in the first vertical test in July, 2010. The prototype tuner and low level RF (LLRF) system are under test. The high power input coupler and cryomodule are under fabrication. | 6 | Pressure-induced ferroelectric and anti-ferroelectric phase transitions in LaN显示文摘In this work,we focus on the structural and electronic properties of lanthanum mono-nitride s under high pressure.Based on firstprinciples calculations and crystal structure predictions,we identified an anti-ferroelectric orthogonal phase with space group Pbcm.It is predicted to be thermodynamically stable from 20 to 60 GPa,above which the tetragonal phase without the antiferroelectric distortion will substitute it.However,the anti-ferroelectric distortion can be enhancedby reducing the pressure,and a phase transition to a NiAs-type(B8,P63/mmc) structure occurs at about 20 GPa.The calculated double-well potential for La atoms along the c direction in the B8 phase reveals that it should exhibit ferroelectric properties at low temperatures.Enthalpy calculations well confirm their phase transition sequences under high pressure.Electtonic properties calculations suggest that all the newly identified phases are semiconductors and the corresponding structural distortions can increase their bandgaps.When increasing the pressure to 50 GPa,the tetragonal phase undergoes a semiconductor-to-semimetal transition.Taking the spin-orbit coupling into account,the semimetal phase becomes a topological insulator with a small bandgap.Finally,given the similarities between the ionic compounds LaN and BaO,we predict that the most stable phase for BaO at about 25 GPa should also be the anti-ferroelectric orthogonal phase instead of the tetragonal phase. | Chi Ding Jianan Yuan Beatriz H.Cogollo-Olivo Yunlong Wang Xiaomeng Wang Jian Sun | 2023 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2023,66,2: | 0 |
| 7 | Biosensors Based on the Tissue of Plant as Catalytic Material for Amino Acids显示文摘Two tissue electrodes are described in this paper. It is shown that a portion of intact tissue from apple or cactus can be coupled with potentiometric ammonia gas sensing electrode to prepare sensors for some amino acids with good response properties. Their optimum operating conditions and properties with respect to buffer sort, pH of the bulk solution, selectivity, linearity, stability, sensitivity and response time are studied and discussed. | 8 | Study of electrostatic-magnetic deflector for CEPC显示文摘Purpose As the key component for the Higgs operating mode of Circular Electron-Positron Collider(CEPC),the electrostatic-magnetic deflectors are required by the double ring collider to separate the electron and the positron beams horizontally in the RF regions.The electric field is required to reach 2 MV/m with the vacuum pressure of less than 2×10^(−10) Torr.The deflectors make use of both electric and magnetic fields to deflect the beams.The incoming beam gets zero deflection,but the outgoing beam is deflected by the combined effect of the electric and magnetic forces.W and Z modes use the same cavities with H mode to save budget.The deflectors are large contributors to the overall beam impedance which is necessary to be reduced as much as possible.Methods The electric and magnetic field optimization has been performed by the Opera.The beam impedance study has been carried out using the Computer Simulation Technology(CST)particle studio.Results The shape of the electrode is optimized for a good electric field homogeneity(±0.05%)in 46 mm×40 mm region.The electric field and the magnetic field could be matched perfectly in the main body of the deflector by bending the elec-trodes and introducing magnetic field clamps and mirror plates.The beam loss factor decreases by about 20%via the intro-duction of ground electrodes and tapering ends.Conclusions The design results successfully meet the physical requirements,and the mechanical design has been finished. | Jianbin Zhu Bin Chen Yudong Liu Yuan Chen Yunlong Chi | 2021 | Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2021,5,3: | 0 |
| 9 | Study of a 560-mm-long stripline kicker for HIT 10 MeV electron accelerator显示文摘Purpose A stripline kicker is required for Harbin Institute of Technology(HIT)10 MeV electron accelerator to scan electrons horizontally in two directions,and the maximum deflecting angle is 65 mrad.In this study,a 560-mm-long stripline kicker was designed to achieve good field uniformity and odd mode impedance matching.Methods In order to reduce power reflections and meet field uniformity requirement,we optimized the cross section of the kicker main body.Design and optimization of the stripline kicker were finished by CST.Results The field uniformity is 2%in the 60 mm(x)×80 mm(y)region,as required.Considering impedance matching and manufacturing,the transmission odd mode impedance was finally chosen to 45Ω,which indicated a reflecting loss of less than−50 dB below 1 MHz.The maximum field is less than 7 MV/m with a maximum pulse voltage of±22 kV between the two electrodes when the electrons pass through the kicker.Conclusions The physical design of the stripline kicker has been finished,and the simulation results satisfied the requirements. | Jianbin Zhu Hua Shi Bowen Bai Shu Zhang Zhandong Zhang Bin Chen Yunlong Chi | 2021 | Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2021,5,3: | 0 |
| 10 | Cytochrome P450 mono-oxygenase CYP703A2 plays a central role in sporopollenin formation and ms5ms6 fertility in cotton显示文摘The double-recessive genic male-sterile(ms)line ms5 ms6 has been used to develop cotton(Gossypium hirsutum)hybrids for many years,but its molecular-genetic basis has remained unclear.Here,we identified the Ms5 and Ms6 loci through map-based cloning and confirmed their function in male sterility through CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing.Ms5 and Ms6 are highly expressed in stages 7–9 anthers and encode the cytochrome P450 mono-oxygenases CYP703A2-A and CYP703A2-D.The ms5 mutant carries a single-nucleotide C-to-T nonsense mutation leading to premature chain termination at amino acid 312(GhCYP703A2-A^(312aa)),and ms6 carries three nonsynonymous substitutions(D98E,E168K,and G198R)and a synonymous mutation(L11L).Enzyme assays showed that GhCYP703A2 proteins hydroxylate fatty acids,and the ms5(GhCYP703A2-A^(312aa))and ms6(GhCYP703A2-D^(D98E,E168K,G198R))mutant proteins have decreased enzyme activities.Biochemical and lipidomic analyses showed that in ms5 ms6 plants,C12–C18 free fatty acid and phospholipid levels are significantly elevated in stages 7–9 anthers,while stages 8–10 anthers lack sporopollenin fluorescence around the pollen,causing microspore degradation and male sterility.Overall,our characterization uncovered functions of GhCYP703A2 in sporopollenin formation and fertility,providing guidance for creating male-sterile lines to facilitate hybrid cotton production and therefore exploit heterosis for improvement of cotton. | Huanhuan Ma Yuanlong Wu Ruiling Lv Huabin Chi Yunlong Zhao Yanlong Li Hongbo Liu Yizan Ma Longfu Zhu Xiaoping Guo Jie Kong Jianyong Wu Chaozhu Xing Xianlong Zhang Ling Min | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,10: | 0 |
