| 1 | Tensor absolute value equations显示文摘This paper is concerned with solving some structured multi-linear systems, which are called tensor absolute value equations. This kind of absolute value equations is closely related to tensor complementarity problems and is a generalization of the well-known absolute value equations in the matrix case. We prove that tensor absolute value equations are equivalent to some special structured tensor complementary problems. Some sufficient conditions are given to guarantee the existence of solutions for tensor absolute value equations. | 2 | Simultaneous quantification of ginsenoside Rg1 and its metabolites by HPLC–MS/MS:Rg1 excretion in rat bile, urine and feces显示文摘Ginsenoside Rg1(Rg1), the major effective component of ginseng, has been shown to have multiple bioactivities, but low oral bioavailability. The aim of this study was to develop a simple, sensitive and rapid high performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry(LC–MS/MS) method, which could be used to validate and quantify the concentrations of Rg1 and its metabolites in Sprague-Dawley rat bile,urine, and feces after oral administration(25 mg/kg). Calibration curves offered satisfactory linearity(r40.995)within the determined ranges. Both intra-day and inter-day variances were less than 15%, and the accuracy was within 80–120%. The excretion recoveries of Rg1, ginsenoside Rh1(Rh1), and protopanaxatriol(Ppt) in bile,urine, and feces combined were all greater than 70%. The fecal excretion recoveries of Rg1, Rh1, and Ppt were40.11%, 22.19%, and 22.88%, respectively, whereas 6.88% of Rg1 and 0.09% of Rh1 were excreted in bile.Urinary excretion accounted for only 0.04% of Rg1. | 3 | Bioinformatic analysis for potential biological processes and key targets of heart failure-related stroke显示文摘This study aimed to uncover underlying mechanisms and promising intervention targets of heart failure(HF)-related stroke.HF-related dataset GSE42955 and stroke-related dataset GSE58294 were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus(GEO)database.Weighted gene co-expression network analysis(WGCNA)was conducted to identify key modules and hub genes.Gene Ontology(GO)and pathway enrichment analyses were performed on genes in the key modules.Genes in HF-and stroke-related key modules were intersected to obtain common genes for HF-related stroke,which were further intersected with hub genes of stroke-related key modules to obtain key genes in HF-related stroke.Key genes were functionally annotated through GO in the Reactome and Cytoscape databases.Finally,key genes were validated in these two datasets and other datasets.HF-and stroke-related datasets each identified two key modules.Functional enrichment analysis indicated that protein ubiquitination,Wnt signaling,and exosomes were involved in both HF-and stroke-related key modules.Additionally,ten hub genes were identified in stroke-related key modules and 155 genes were identified as common genes in HF-related stroke.OTU deubiquitinase with linear linkage specificity(OTULIN)and nuclear factor interleukin 3-regulated(NFIL3)were determined to be the key genes in HF-related stroke.Through functional annotation,OTULIN was involved in protein ubiquitination and Wnt signaling,and NFIL3 was involved in DNA binding and transcription.Importantly,OTULIN and NFIL3 were also validated to be differentially expressed in all HF and stroke groups.Protein ubiquitination,Wnt signaling,and exosomes were involved in HF-related stroke.OTULIN and NFIL3 may play a key role in HF-related stroke through regulating these processes,and thus serve as promising intervention targets. | Chiyu LIU Sixu CHEN Haifeng ZHANG Yangxin CHEN Qingyuan GAO Zhiteng CHEN Zhaoyu LIU Jingfeng WANG | 2021 | Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2021,22,9: | 3 |
| 4 | Discovery of native aluminum and its possible origin from prospective gas hydrate areas in the South China Sea显示文摘Aluminum is an active amphoteric metal element, but native aluminum (Al°) can be formed and preserved in special condi- tions so that its occurrence has unique geological significance. In this paper, the coarse fractions (> 63 μm) of 269 samples of surface sediments and of 165 sediment samples in four cores from the South China Sea (SCS) were picked out and analyzed. Al° particles were found in only five surface samples and three samples in two sedimentary cores. The particles are grayish or silver white in color with a strongly metallic luster and high plasticity, and they occur as irregular plats, elongated shapes and spherules with botryoidal structures. The identified Al° particles belong to cubical system, Fm3m space group with a varying from 4.028×10?1 nm to 4.059×10?1 nm. Their chemical compositions consist mainly of Al (95.07%–99.84%) and minor amounts of Si, Fe, Ti, S, Zn, Mg, Ca and trace amounts of K, Na, Cu, Co, P and Mn. Our results show that the identified Al° is authigenic, formed in situ in the prospective areas of gas hydrates, and that it is an unreported type of Al° occurrence. A possi- ble mechanism of Al° formation is proposed: under the strongly reducing micro environments at cold seeps, dissolved Al3+ in sediments is reduced to its metallic state by the strongly reducing agent of H2 through microbial processes and enzyme action. As a result, the Al° particles from the prospective gas hydrate areas in the SCS are the special products, representing the first report on Al° from the sediments at cold seeps. | 5 | Exploring novel cell cryoprotectants based on neutral amino acids显示文摘Cryoprotectants play a key role in cell cryopreservation because they can reduce cryoinjuries to cells associated with ice formation.To meet the clinical requirements of cryopreserved cells,cryoprotectants should be biocompatible,highly efficient and easily removable from cryopreserved cells.However,integration of these properties into one cryoprotectant still remains challenging.Herein,three biocompatible neutral amino acids,includingβ-alanine,γ-aminobutyric acid andε-aminocaproic acid,are first reported to have the potential as such ideal cryoprotectants.The results demonstrate that they can inhibit ice formation and reduce osmotic stress to provide extracellular and intracellular protection,thereby ensuring high cryopreservation efficiency for both anuclear and nucleated cells.More importantly,due to the remarkable osmotic regulation ability,the neutral amino acids can be rapidly removed from cryopreserved cells via a one-step method without causing observable damage to cells,superior to the current state-of-the-art cryoprotectants—dimethyl sulfoxide and glycerol.This work provides a new perspective to develop novel cryoprotectants,which may have dramatic impacts on solvent-free cryopreservation technology to support the cell-based applications,such as cell therapy and tissue engineering,etc. | Xiaojie Sui Pengguang Chen Chiyu Wen Jing Yang Qingsi Li Lei Zhang | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,10: | 1 |

| 12 | Controlled-Release of Plant Volatiles:New Composite Materials of Porous Carbon-Citral and Their Fungicidal Activity against Exobasidium vexans显示文摘Citral(Eo)exhibits excellent fungicidal activities.However,it is difficult to maintain long-term fungicidal activity due to its strong volatility.Herein,a controlled-release strategy by using biomass-derived porous carbon(BC)was developed to overcome the drawback of Eo.New composite materials were prepared by loading Eo on tea stem porous carbon(BC@Eo),and their controlled-release fungicidal activity against Exobasidium vexans was assessed.BC with a large specific surface area of 1001.6 m2/g and mesoporous structure was fabricated through carbonization tempera-ture of 700℃.The BC@Eo materials were characterized using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray powder diffraction.The results suggested that chemical and physical interactions occurred in BC@Eo.The Eo release profile suggested a biphasic pattern with an initial fast release on days 1–14 and a subsequent controlled phase on days 14–30.The in vitro cumulative release percentage of Eo from BC@Eo was 51%during one month,and this result was significantly lower than that from free Eo(cumulative release percentage of Eo of 82%in one week).The anti-fungal activities of Eo and BC@Eo against E.vexans were determined using the inhibition zone method.The results indicated that Eo and BC@Eo formed large inhibition zones of 19.66±0.79 and 21.92±0.77 mm,respectively.The influence on the hyphal structure of E.vexans was observed by scanning electron microscopy on day 30.The hyphal structure of E.vexans treated with BC@Eo was more shrunken than that treated with Eo at 30 days,suggesting that BC@Eo prolongs the fungicidal activity against E.vexans.This study demonstrated that the encapsulation of Eo in BC for developing the BC@Eo materials could be a promising strategy to inhibit volatility and maintain the fungicidal activity of Eo and provide a potential alternative for the reuse of abundant tea biomass waste resources. | Yaoguo Liu Yao Chen Huifang Liu Wei Chen Zhiwei Lei Chiyu Ma Jie Yin Wen Yang | 2023 | Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,2: | 1 |

| 15 | TNFR2 is a potent prognostic biomarker for post-transplant lung metastasis in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Objective:Lung metastasis is a common and fatal complication of liver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).The precise prediction of post-transplant lung metastasis in the early phase is of great value.Methods:The mRNA profiles of primary and paired lung metastatic lesions were analyzed to determine key signaling pathways.We enrolled 241 HCC patients who underwent liver transplantation from three centers.Tissue microarrays were used to evaluate the prognostic capacity of tumor necrosis factor(TNF),tumor necrosis factor receptor 1(TNFR1),and TNFR2,particularly for post-transplant lung metastasis.Results:Comparison of primary and lung metastatic lesions revealed that the TNF-dependent signaling pathway was related to lung metastasis of HCC.The expression of TNF was degraded in comparison to that in para-tumor tissues(P<0.001).The expression of key receptors in the TNF-dependent signaling pathway,TNFR1 and TNFR2,was higher in HCC tissues than in para-tumor tissues(P<0.001).TNF and TNFR1 showed no relationship with patients’outcomes,whereas elevated TNFR2 in tumor tissue was significantly associated with worse overall survival(OS)and increased recurrence risk(5-year OS rate:31.9%vs.62.5%,P<0.001).Notably,elevated TNFR2 levels were also associated with an increased risk of post-transplant lung metastasis(hazard ratio:1.146;P<0.001).Cox regression analysis revealed that TNFR2,Hangzhou criteria,age,and hepatitis B surface antigen were independent risk factors for post-transplant lung metastasis,and a novel nomogram was established accordingly.The nomogram achieved excellent prognostic efficiency(area under time-dependent receiver operating characteristic=0.755,concordance-index=0.779)and was superior to conventional models,such as the Milan criteria.Conclusions:TNFR2 is a potent prognostic biomarker for predicting post-transplant lung metastasis in patients with HCC.A nomogram incorporating TNFR2 deserves to be a helpful prognostic tool in liver transplantation for HCC. | Huigang Li Zuyuan Lin Jianyong Zhuo Modan Yang Wei Shen Zhihang Hu Yichen Ding Hao Chen Chiyu He Xinyu Yang Siyi Dong Xuyong Wei Beicheng Sun Shusen Zheng Ren Lang Di Lu Xiao Xu | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2023,35,1: | 0 |
| 16 | Geochemical characteristics of cold-seep carbonates in Shenhu area,South China Sea显示文摘Cold seeps spread worldwide along the continental margins,which are closely related to the exploration of gas hydrates.Cold-seep carbonates have been reported to record the nature of seepage,including fluid source,sedimentary environment,and variation of seepage activity.We investigated the morphology,mineralogy,element compositions,and carbon and oxygen isotopes of 15 cold-seep carbonates collected from the Shenhu area,and compared them with 2 carbonates from the Haima cold seep,the South China Sea(SCS),to promote our knowledge of cold-seep system in SCS.Most of the Shenhu carbonates exhibit crust morphology,and some are in the form of chimneys and blocks.Their absolute(20%–65%)and relative carbonate mineral contents(mainly aragonite and calcite,with minor samples containing dolomite)vary significantly,indicating the multi-stage methane leakage in our study area.Some samples show a slight negative Ce anomaly,suggesting either the mixing of seawater or variation of the redox condition during the precipitation;the cooccurrence of strongly enriched U and Mo demonstrates anoxic condition during precipitation.The mixed genetic methane source was interpreted by δ^(13)C of the Shenhu carbonates to range from-22.34‰to-59.30‰Vienna PeeDee Belemnite(VPDB),and the slight ^(18)O-enrichment imprinted on the carbonates suggests the possible influence from hydrate dissociation.The Haima carbonates,with biogenic methane as the main gas source,were presumably formed in a stronger fluid flux by compared with our Shenhu samples. | Chongmin CHEN Lifeng ZHONG Zhifeng WAN Chiyu CHENG Wei ZHOU Xing XU | 2022 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,3: | 0 |
