1Two-fluid modeling of Geldart A particles in gas-solid micro-fluidized beds显示文摘The fluidizadon behavior of Geldart A particles in a gas-solid micro-fluidized bed was investigated by Eulerian-Eulerian numerical simulation.The commonly used Gidaspow drag model was tested first.The simulation showed that the predicted minimum bubbling velocities were significantly lower than the experimental data even when an extremely fine grid size(of approximately one particle diameter) was used.The modified Gibilaro drag model was therefore tested next.The predicted minimum bubbling velocity and bed voidage were in reasonable agreement with the experimental data available in literature.The experimentally observed regime transition phenomena from bubbling to slugging were also reproduced successfully in the simulations.Parametric studies indicated that the solid-wall boundary conditions had a significant impact on the predicted gas and solid flow behavior.Xiaoxing Liu Chuanqiang Zhu Shujun Geng Meiqin Yao Jinhui Zhan Guangwen Xu 2015Particuology2015,13,4:8

5Numerical study on the correlation of transonic single-degree-of-freedom flutter and buffet显示文摘Transonic single-degree-of-freedom(SDOF) flutter and transonic buffet are the typical and complex aeroelastic phenomena in the transonic flow. In this study, transonic aeroelastic issues of an elastic airfoil are investigated using Unsteady Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes(URANS) equations. The airfoil is free to vibrate in SDOF of pitching. It is found that, the coupling system may be unstable and SDOF self-excited pitching oscillations occur in pre-buffet flow condition, where the free-stream angle of attack(AOA) is lower than the buffet onset of a stationary airfoil. In the theory of classical aeroelasticity, this unstable phenomenon is defined as flutter. However, this transonic SDOF flutter is closely related to transonic buffet(unstable aerodynamic models) due to the following reasons. Firstly, the SDOF flutter occurs only when the free-stream AOA of the spring suspended airfoil is slightly lower than that of buffet onset, and the ratio of the structural characteristic frequency to the buffet frequency is within a limited range. Secondly, the response characteristics show a high correlation between the SDOF flutter and buffet. A similar 'lock-in' phenomenon exists, when the coupling frequency follows the structural characteristic frequency. Finally, there is no sudden change of the response characteristics in the vicinity of buffet onset, that is, the curve of response amplitude with the free-stream AOA is nearly smooth. 6Combustion synthesis of fine TiFe series alloy powder by magnesothermic reduction of ilmenite显示文摘Fine TiFe series alloy powder was fabricated by magnesothermic reduction of ilmenite as main raw material. Adiabatic temperature of the FeTiO3-Mg system was studied through thermodynamic analysis. Meanwhile, the characteristics of TiFe series alloy were described by XRD, SEM and grading analysis. It is shown that combustion synthesis of the FeTiO3-Mg system can carry out due to its strong exothermic reaction through adiabatic temperature calculate. Ultrafine TiFe series alloy powder after leached for 5 h has reasonable phases and morphology with the particle distribution of 0.2 to 1 μm. 7Hepatoprotective ability of tetramethylpyrazine produced by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens显示文摘Tetramethylpyrazine(TTMP),an important aroma compound,was produced by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens XJB-104 with distillers’grains as raw material.The yield of TTMP under optimized fermentation procedure was 3176.52 mg/L.TTMP in the fermentation broth was purified and the purity(>99%)was measured by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.Furthermore,the hepatoprotective activity of TTMP in ethanol-water system was evaluated by biochemical indicators of liver injury,parameters of antioxidant defense system and inflammatory response,and liver histopathological assessment in mice.Ethanol treatment increased serum levels of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,alkaline phos-phatase and lactate dehydrogenase,suggesting liver damage.Both high and low dose of TTMP significantly decreased levels of these indicators.Furthermore,the reduction in the activities or concentrations of superoxide dismutase,catalase,reduced glutathione and malondialdehyde in liver tissue caused by ethanol was significantly alleviated by TTMP.Increased inflammatory cytokines including transcription factor,tumor necrosis factor,interleukin-1beta,interleukin,macrophage chemoattractant protein,inducible nitric oxide synthase and cyclooxygenase were also suppressed by TTMP treatment.It is concluded that TTMP in ethanol-water system has potential liver-protective activity,especially when ethanol is consumed at low doses for short periods of time.Wenqing Zhang Guanru Si Zhiming Rao Shuai Zong Jinglei Li Xian Zhang Chuanqiang Gao Zhou Ping Ming Ye 2021Systems Microbiology and Biomanufacturing2021,1,2:4

9Characteristic analysis of lock-in for an elastically suspended airfoil in transonic buffet flow显示文摘Numerical simulations are performed to study the aeroelastic responses of an elastically suspended airfoil in transonic buffet flow, by coupling the unsteady Reynolds-averaged NavierStokes(RANS) equations and structural motion equation. The current work focuses on the characteristic analysis of the lock-in phenomenon. Great attentions are paid to studying the frequency range of lock-in and the effects of the three parameters, namely the structural natural frequency,mass ratio and structural damping, on lock-in characteristic of the elastic system in detail. It is found that when the structural natural frequency is close to the buffet frequency, the coupling frequency of the elastic system is no longer equal to the buffet frequency, but keeps the same value as the structural natural frequency. The frequency lock-in occurs and stays present until the structural nature frequency is near the double buffet frequency. It means that the lock-in presents within a broad range, of which the lower threshold is near the buffet frequency, while the upper threshold is near the double buffet frequency. Moreover, the frequency range of lock-in is affected by mass ratio and structural damping. The lower the mass ratio and structural damping are, the wider the range of lock-in will be. 10Efficacy of second-course intra-arterial chemotherapy in children for advanced retinoblastoma recurrence after intra-arterial chemotherapy显示文摘Purpose: The present study determined the efficacy and toxicity of second-course intra-arterial chemotherapy(IAC) in advanced retinoblastoma(RB) recurrence in children following failed initial IAC. Materials and Methods: A total of 24 child patients with unilateral or bilateral intra-ocular advanced RB(IIRC Group D and Group E) undergoing second-course IAC treatment after initial intra-arterial chemotherapy between September 2011 and November 2016 were enrolled. Global salvage, ocular adverse events, and systemic adverse events were assessed. Results: Following second-course IAC, 15(62.5%) showed complete control at 34 months follow-up, while 8 cases(33.3%) failed the treatment and 1 patient with metastatic disease(4.2%) eventually died of brain metastasis after refusing treatment. Ocular adverse events included eyelid edema(n=12), ptosis(n=5), forehead erythema(n-5), enophthalmos(n=3), and cataract(n=2). None of the patients had systemic adverse events, such as stroke or sepsis. Also, no secondary neoplasms and technical complications were observed. Conclusion: Second-course IAC is a potential alternative to enucleation in children with advanced RB, who fail an initial course of IAC. 11Correlation of diffusion tensor imaging and cognitive function in patients with leukoaraiosis显示文摘Conventional imaging technology does not measure white matter lesions of the brain or cognitive impairment.Diffusion tensor imaging is able to detect changes in the microstructure of white matter,and correlating vascular risk factors with cognitive dysfunction seems feasible using this technique.A total of 60 leukoaraiosis patients and 30 healthy elderly controls received diffusion tensor imaging examination to detect the average diffusion coefficient and fractional anisotropy of leukoaraiosis lesion and normal white matter.Leukoaraiosis severity positively correlated with average diffusion coefficient but negatively correlated with fraction anisotropy.Neuropsychology tests(mini-mental state examination) were related to average diffusion coefficient and fraction anisotropy of normal white matter in leukoaraiosis patients,especially in the anterior horn and centrum semiovale.The average diffusion coefficient and fraction anisotropy of leukoaraiosis displayed characteristic changes.Therefore,diffusion tensor imaging can detect the macrostructural changes in white matter with normal magnetic resonance imaging,and these changes are related to cognitive function.Application of diffusion tensor imaging techniques to analyze the correlation between vascular risk factors and cognitive dysfunction is feasible.Chuanqiang Qu Shougang Guo Hongzhi Guo Xiangshui Meng Chunjuan Wang Lin Ma Yan He 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,15:2

18Biodegradation of Mg-14Li alloy in simulated body fluid: A proof-of-concept study显示文摘High corrosion kinetics and localised corrosion progress are the primary concerns arising from the clinical implementation of magnesium(Mg)based implantable devices.In this study,a binary Mglithium(Li)alloy consisting a record high Li content of 14%(in weight)was employed as model material aiming to yield homogenous and slow corrosion behaviour in a simulated body fluid,i.e.minimum essential medium(MEM),in comparison to that of generic Mg alloy AZ31 and biocompatible Mg-0.5Zn-0.5Ca counterparts.Scanning electron microscopy examination reveals single-phase microstructural characteristics of Mg-14Li(b-Li),whilst the presence of insoluble phases,cathodic to a-Mg matrix,in AZ31 and Mg-0.5Zn-0.5Ca.Though slight differences exist in the corrosion kinetics of all the specimens over a short-term time scale(no longer than 60 min),as indicated by potentiodynamic polarisation and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy,profound variations are apparent in terms of immersion tests,i.e.mass loss and hydrogen evolution measurements(up to 7 days).Cross-sectional micrographs unveil severe pitting corrosion in AZ31 and Mg-0.5Zn-0.5Ca,but not the case for Mg-14Li.X-ray diffraction patterns and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy confirm that a compact film(25 mm in thickness)consisting of lithium carbonate(Li2CO3)and calcium hydroxide was generated on the surface of Mg-14Li in MEM,which contributes greatly to its low corrosion rate.It is proposed therefore that the single-phase structure and formation of protective and defect-free Li2CO3 film give rise to the controlled and homogenous corrosion behaviour of Mg-14Li in MEM,providing new insights for the exploration of biodegradable Mg materials.Xiao-Bo Chen Chuanqiang Li Daokui Xu 2018Bioactive Materials2018,3,1:1
19Remaining useful life prediction based on nonlinear random coefficient regression model with fusing failure time data显示文摘Remaining useful life(RUL) prediction is one of the most crucial elements in prognostics and health management(PHM). Aiming at the imperfect prior information, this paper proposes an RUL prediction method based on a nonlinear random coefficient regression(RCR) model with fusing failure time data.Firstly, some interesting natures of parameters estimation based on the nonlinear RCR model are given. Based on these natures,the failure time data can be fused as the prior information reasonably. Specifically, the fixed parameters are calculated by the field degradation data of the evaluated equipment and the prior information of random coefficient is estimated with fusing the failure time data of congeneric equipment. Then, the prior information of the random coefficient is updated online under the Bayesian framework, the probability density function(PDF) of the RUL with considering the limitation of the failure threshold is performed. Finally, two case studies are used for experimental verification. 20Probing self-optimization of carbon support in oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Despite acknowledgment of structural reconstruction of materials following oxygen evolution reaction (OER) reaction, the role of support during the reconstruction process has been ignored. Given this, we directly in situ transform the residual iron present in raw single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) into Fe_(2)O_(3) and thus build Fe_(2)O_(3)-CNT as the model system. Intriguingly, an anomalous self-optimization occurred on SWCNT and the derived components show satisfactory electrochemical performance. Soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy (sXAS) analysis and theory calculation correspondingly indicate that self-optimization yields stronger interaction between SWCNT and Fe_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles, where the electrons migrate from Fe_(2)O_(3) to optimized SWCNT. Such polarization will generate a positive charge center and thus boost the OER activity.
