Mobility in China,2020:a tale of four phases显示文摘2020 was an unprecedented year;with rapid and drastic changes in human mobility due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To understand the variation in commuting patterns among the Chinese population across stable and unstable periods,we used nationwide mobility data from 318 million mobile phone users in China to examine the extreme fluctuations of population movements in 2020,ranging from the Lunar New Year travel season(chunyun),to the exceptional calm of COVID-19 lockdown, and then to the recovery period. We observed that cross-city movements;which increased substantially in chunyun and then dropped sharply during the lockdown, are primarily dependent on travel distance and the socio-economic development of cities.Following the Lunar New Year holiday, national mobility remained low until mid-February,and COVID-19 interventions delayed more than 72.89 million people returning to large cities.Mobility network analysis revealed clusters of highly connected cities, conforming to the social-economic division of urban agglomerations in China. While the mass migration back to large cities was delayed, smaller cities connected more densely to form new clusters.During the recovery period after travel restrictions were lifted, the netflows of over 55%city pairs reversed in direction compared to before the lockdown. These findings offer the most comprehensive picture of Chinese mobility at fine resolution across various scenarios in China and are of critical importance for decision making regarding future public-health-emergency response, transportation planning and regional economic development, among others. | Suoyi Tan Shengjie Lai Fan Fang Ziqiang Cao Bin Sai Bing Song Bitao Dai Shuhui Guo Chuchu Liu Mengsi Cai Tong Wang Mengning Wang Jiaxu Li Saran Chen Shuo Qin Jessica R.Floyd Zhidong Cao Jing Tan Xin Sun Tao Zhou Wei Zhang Andrew J.Tatem Petter Holme Xiaohong Chen Xin Lu | 2021 | National Science Review2021,8,11: | 3
WRKY33-mediated indolic glucosinolate metabolic pathway confers resistance against Alternaria brassicicola in Arabidopsis and Brassica crops显示文摘The tryptophan(Trp)-derived plant secondary metabolites, including camalexin,4-hydroxyindole-3-carbonylnitrile,and indolic glucosinolate(IGS),show broad-spectrum antifungal activity. However, the distinct regulations of these metabolic pathways among different plant species in response to fungus infection are rarely studied. In this study, our results revealed that WRKY33 directly regulates IGS biosynthesis, notably the production of 4-methoxyindole-3-ylmethyl glucosinolate(4MI3G),conferring resistance to Alternaria brassicicola,an important pathogen which causes black spot in Brassica crops.WRKY33 directly activates the expression of CYP81F2,IGMT1,and IGMT2 to drive sidechain modification of indole-3-ylmethyl glucosinolate(I3G)to 4MI3G,in both Arabidopsis and Chinese kale(Brassica oleracea var.alboglabra Bailey). However,Chinese kale showed a more severe symptom than Arabidopsis when infected by Alternaria brassicicola.Comparative analyses of the origin and evolution of Trp metabolism indicate that the loss of camalexin biosynthesis in Brassica crops during evolution might attenuate the resistance of crops to Alternaria brassicicola. As a result, the IGS metabolic pathway mediated by WRKY33 becomes essential for Chinese kale to deter Alternaria brassicicola. Our results highlight the differential regulation of Trp-derived camalexin and IGS biosynthetic pathways in plant immunity between Arabidopsis and Brassica crops. | Han Tao Huiying Miao Lili Chen Mengyu Wang Chuchu Xia Wei Zeng Bo Sun Fen Zhang Shuqun Zhang Chuanyou Li Qiaomei Wang | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,5: | 2

A Compact Scheme for Coupled Stochastic Nonlinear Schrodinger Equations显示文摘In this paper,we propose a compact scheme to numerically study the coupled stochastic nonlinear Schrodinger equations. We prove that the compact scheme preserves the discrete stochastic multi-symplectic conservation law, discrete charge conservation law and discrete energy evolution law almost surely.Numerical experiments confirm well the theoretical analysis results.Furthermore,we present a detailed numerical investigation of the optical phenomena based on the compact scheme.By numerical experiments for various amplitudes of noise,we find that the noise accelerates the oscillation of the soliton and leads to the decay of the solution amplitudes with respect to time.In particular,if the noise is relatively strong, the soliton will be totally destroyed.Meanwhile,we observe that the phase shift is sensibly modified by the noise. Moreover, the numerical results present inelastic interaction which is different from the deterministic case. | Chuchu Chen Jialin Hong Lihai Ji Linghua Kong | 2017 | Communications in Computational Physics2017,21,1: | 1

Ranking-Based Recommendation System with Text Modeling显示文摘In the study of recommendation systems, many methods based on predicting ratings have been put forward. However, the rating-predicting methods have some shortages. It pays too much attention to predicting, instead of the nature of recommendation, which is predicting the order of ratings. Thus,we use a pairwise-based learning algorithm to learn our model and take the zero-sampling method to improve our model. In addition,we propose a text modeling method making the recommendations more explicable. It is proved that our system performs better than other state-of-art | Chuchu Huang Guang Chen | 2015 | 国际计算机前沿大会会议论文集2015,,B12: | 0
A Review on Stochastic Multi-symplectic Methods for Stochastic Maxwell Equations显示文摘Stochastic multi-symplectic methods are a class of numerical methods preserving the discrete stochastic multi-symplectic conservation law. These methods have the remarkable superiority to conventional numerical methods when applied to stochastic Hamiltonian partial differential equations (PDEs), such as long-time behavior, geometric structure preserving, and physical properties preserving. Stochastic Maxwell equations driven by either additive noise or multiplicative noise are a system of stochastic Hamiltonian PDEs intrinsically, which play an important role in fields such as stochastic electromagnetism and statistical radiophysics. Thereby, the construction and the analysis of various numerical methods for stochastic Maxwell equations which inherit the stochastic multi-symplecticity, the evolution laws of energy and divergence of the original system are an important and promising subject. The first stochastic multi-symplectic method is designed and analyzed to stochastic Maxwell equations by Hong et al.(A stochastic multi-symplectic scheme for stochastic Maxwell equations with additive noise. J. Comput. Phys. 268:255-268, 2014). Subsequently, there have been developed various stochastic multi-symplectic methods to solve stochastic Maxwell equations. In this paper, we make a review on these stochastic multi-symplectic methods for solving stochastic Maxwell equations driven by a stochastic process. Meanwhile, the theoretical results of well-posedness and conservation laws of the stochastic Maxwell equations are included. | Liying Zhang Chuchu Chen Jialin Hong Lihai Ji | 2019 | Communications on Applied Mathematics and Computation2019,1,3: | 0
Biodegradable calcium sulfide-based nanomodulators for H_(2)S-boosted Ca^(2+)-involved synergistic cascade cancer therapy显示文摘Hydrogen sulfide(H_(2)S)is the most recently discovered gasotransmitter molecule that activates multiple intracellular signaling pathways and exerts concentration-dependent antitumor effect by interfering with mitochondrial respiration and inhibiting cellular ATP generation.Inspired by the fact that H_(2)S can also serve as a promoter for intracellular Ca^(2+)influx,tumor-specific nanomodulators(I-CaS@PP)have been constructed by encapsulating calcium sulfide(CaS)and indocyanine green(ICG)into methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-b-poly(lactide-co-glycolide)(PLGA-PEG).I-CaS@PP can achieve tumor-specific biodegradability with high biocompatibility and pH-responsive H_(2)S release. The released H_(2)S can effectively suppress the catalase(CAT)activity and synergize with released Ca^(2+)to facilitate abnormal Ca^(2+)retention in cells, thus leading to mitochondria destruction and amplification of oxidative stress.Mitochondrial dysfunction further contributes to blocking ATP synthesis and downregulating heat shock proteins(HSPs)expression, which is beneficial to overcome the heat endurance of tumor cells and strengthen ICG-induced photothermal performance.Such a H_(2)S-boosted Ca^(2+)-involved tumor-specific therapy exhibits highly effective tumor inhibition effect with almost complete elimination within 14-day treatment, indicating the great prospect of CaS-based nanomodulators as antitumor therapeutics. | Chuchu Lin Chenyi Huang Zhaoqing Shi Meitong Ou Shengjie Sun Mian Yu Ting Chen Yunfei Yi Xiaoyuan Ji Feng Lv Meiying Wu Lin Mei | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,12: | 0
Exploring the anti-aging effects of chlorogenic acid and the underlying mechanisms based on a Caenorhabditis elegans model显示文摘Objective:To explore the anti-aging effects of chlorogenic acid(CGA)and the underlying mechanisms based on a Caenorhabditis elegans(C.elegans)model.Methods:The anti-agingactivityofCGAwasstudied basedon thebodylength, exercisebehavior, lipofuscin content, antioxidative stress ability, swallowing frequency,body-bending frequency, and head-swinging ability of C.elegans.Through DAF-16 nuclear translocation and SOD-3-GFP fluorescence experiments, the effects of CGA on ROS levels, antioxidant enzyme activities,MDA content,mutant-strain lifespan, and anti-aging molecular signaling pathways were explored,as well as the underlying mechanisms. Results:CGA improved multiple indices of the nematode:body length was increased(all P<0.001),head-swing frequency and body-bending frequency were increased(all P<0.05),nematode longevity was prolonged(P=0.0021),lipofuscin deposition in nematodes was slowed down(all P<0.001),the chemotaxis index was improved(P=0.0012),ROS levels were reduced(all P<.001),and SOD activity and MDA content were reduced(SOD:P=0.0017 between the low-concentration group and the control group,P<.001 between the high-concentration and medium-concentration groups and the control group;MDA:P=0.0135 between the low-concentration group and the control group, and P<0.001 between the high-concentration and medium-concentration groups and the control group). In addition,CGA also activated the DAF-16 transcription factor, promoted DAF-16 nuclear translocation under oxidative stress conditions(both P<0.001 between the high-concentration and medium-concentration groups and the control group),and increased SOD-3 gene expression in nematodes(all P<0.001).Conclusion:CGA plays an anti-aging role in C.elegans.The underlying mechanisms include activation of the insulin/IGF-1 signaling pathway and enhancement of DAF-16 activity. This study lays a foundation for further research into the anti-aging effects of CGA. | Yuqian Yang Xu Chen Danyang Ye Chuanyu Wei Xinxin Pang Chuchu Kong Yongsheng Fang Hongliu Yang Yuanyuan Zhang Yonggang Liu | 2023 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2023,10,2: | 0
Establishment of green graphite industry:Graphite from biomass and its various applications显示文摘Resource-and energy-efficient biomass exploitation for green graphite production is one of the most effective strategies for satisfying graphite demand while minimizing energy consumption and carbon emissions. This study investigated green graphite production from biomass waste and its applications to establish a green graphite industry.Biomass pyrolysis and catalytic graphitization of biochar were studied first to produce green graphite. The optimized green graphite exhibited a reversible capacity of 264 mA h/g and 97%capacity retention over 100 cycles in a half-cell.Green graphite electrodes with a resistivity lower than 5μΩm were fabricated by using organic fraction bio-oil as a green binder.Other green graphite applications, including printing, conductive printing, pencils, and refractories, were also achieved. The overall process of graphite anode and electrode synthesis from biomass waste and short-rotation energy crops was modeled.Approx.95 kg of battery graphite or 109 kg of metallurgical graphite electrodes can be produced per ton of biomass with low primary energy consumption and carbon footprint.Prominently, the modeling result and life cycle assessment demonstrated that, for the production of battery graphite from biomass waste,net-negative-CO_(2)emissions(−0.57 kg CO_(2)-eq/kg graphite powders)with net-negative-primary energy consumption(−28.31 MJ/kg graphite powders)was achieved. | Ziyi Shi Shule Wang Yanghao Jin Lingfeng Zhao Shiwei Chen Hanmin Yang Yuxiao Cui Rikard Svanberg Chuchu Tang Jianchun Jiang Weihong Yang PäGJösson Tong Han | 2023 | SusMat2023,3,3: | 0
