| 1 | Fabrication of aluminum matrix composite reinforced with carbon nanotubes显示文摘1.0wt.% carbon nanotube (CNT) reinforced 2024Al matrix composite was fabricated by cold isostatic press and subsequent hot extrusion techniques. The mechanical properties of the composite were measured by a tensile test. Mean-while,the fracture surfaces were examined using field emission scanning electron microscopy. The experimental results show that CNTs are dispersed homogeneously in the composite and that the interfaces of the Al matrix and the CNT bond well. Although the tensile strength and the Young’s modulus of the composite are enhanced markedly,the elongation does not decrease when compared with the matrix material fabricated under the same process. | 2 | Potential applications of porous organic polymers as adsorbent for the adsorption of volatile organic compounds显示文摘Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)with high toxicity and carcinogenicity are emitted from kinds of industries,which endanger human health and the environment.Adsorption is a promising method for the treatment of VOCs due to its low cost and high efficiency.In recent years,activated carbons,zeolites,and mesoporous materials are widely used to remove VOCs because of their high specific surface area and abundant porosity.However,the hydrophilic nature and low desorption rate of those materials limit their commercial application.Furthermore,the adsorption capacities of VOCs still need to be improved.Porous organic polymers(POPs)with extremely high porosity,structural diversity,and hydrophobic have been considered as one of the most promising candidates for VOCs adsorption.This review generalized the superiority of POPs for VOCs adsorption compared to other porous materials and summarized the studies of VOCs adsorption on different types of POPs.Moreover,the mechanism of competitive adsorption between water and VOCs on the POPs was discussed.Finally,a concise outlook for utilizing POPs for VOCs adsorption was discussed,noting areas in which further work is needed to develop the next-generation POPs for practical applications. | Shuangchun Lu Qingling Liu Rui Han Miao Guo Jiaqi Shi Chunfeng Song Na Ji Xuebin Lu Degang Ma | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,7: | 4 |
| 3 | Dispersion of multiwalled carbon nanotubes in aluminum powders显示文摘Multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were treated with the reflux within the concentrated nitric acid for 0-25 h to purify and disperse the tangled MWNTs. The effect of reflux time on the morphology and the weight loss of MWNTs were investigated. Meanwhile,the dispersion of MWNTs with 0-2.0 wt.% in 2024Al powders using mechanical stirring with an assisting ultrasonic shaker in ethanol was also studied. The results show that the reflux time markedly affects the morphology of MWNTs. The weight loss of MWNTs increases as the reflux time increases. | 4 | High Elevation Energy and Water Balance:the Roles of Surface Albedo and Temperature显示文摘Observation and modeling of the coupled energy and water balance is the key to understand hydrospheric and cryospheric processes at high elevation.The paper summarizes the progress to address this aspect in relation with different earth system elements,from glaciers to wetlands.The energy budget of two glaciers,i.e.Xiao Dongkemadi and Parlung No.4,was studied by means of extended field measurements and a distributed model of the coupled energy and mass balance was developed and evaluated.The need for accurate characterization of surface albedo was further documented for the entire Qinghai Tibet Plateau by numerical experiments with Weather Research and Forecast(WRF)on the sensitivity of the atmospheric boundary layer to the parameterization of land surface processes.A new approach to the calibration of a coupled distributed watershed model of the energy and water balance was demonstrated by a case study on the Heihe River Basin in northwestern China.The assimilation of land surface temperature did lead to the retrieval of critical soil and vegetation properties as the soil permeability and the canopy resistance to the exchange of vapour and carbon dioxide.The retrievals of actual Evapo-Transpiration(ET)were generated by the ETMonitor system and evaluated against eddy covariance measurements at sites spread throughout Asia.As regards glacier response to climate variability,the combined findings based on satellite data and model experiments showed that the spatial variability of surface albedo and temperature is significant and controls both glacier mass balance and flow.Experiments with both atmospheric and hydrosphere-cryosphere models documented the need and advantages of using accurate retrievals of land surface albedo to capture lan-atmosphere interactions at high elevation. | Massimo MENENTI Li JIA Marco MANCINI Xin LI Francesca PELLICCIOTTI Kun YANG Jiancheng SHI Maria Jose ESCORIHUELA Chiara CORBARI Shaoting REN Chunfeng MA Chaolei ZHENG Lian LIU Thomas SHAW Baohong DING Wei YANG | 2020 | Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2020,3,4: | 3 |
| 5 | Antifouling mechanism of natural product-based coatings investigated by digital holographic microscopy显示文摘Using natural product-based antifouling coatings has proven to be an effective strategy to combat biofouling.However,their antifouling mechanisms are still unclear.In this study,the antifouling mechanism of natural product-based coatings consisting of bio-sourced poly(lactic acid)-based polyurethane and ecofriendly antifoulant(butenolide)derived from marine bacteria was revealed by observing 3D bacterial motions utilizing a 3D tracking technique-digital holographic microscopy(DHM).As butenolide content increases,the density of planktonic marine bacteria(Pseudomonas sp.)near the surface decreases and thus leads to a reduced adhesion,indicating that butenolide elicits the adaptive response of Pseudomonas sp.to escape from the surface.Meanwhile,among these remained cells,an increased percentage is found to undergo subdiffusive motions compared with the case of smaller dose of butenolide.Further experiments show that butenolide can accelerate their swimming velocity and reduce flick frequency.Antibacterial assay confirms that butenolide-based coating shows high efficacy of antifouling performance against Pseudomonas sp.but without killing them like 4,5-dichloro-2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one(DCOIT). | Jiansen Pan Qingmei Peng Guoliang Zhang Qingyi Xie Xiangjun Gong Pei-Yuan Qian Chunfeng Ma Guangzhao Zhang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,25: | 2 |

| 12 | Practical decoy-state quantum secure direct communication显示文摘Quantum secure direct communication(QSDC) has been demonstrated in both fiber-based and free-space channels using attenuated lasers. Decoy-state QSDC by exploiting four decoy states has been proposed to address the problem of photon-numbersplitting attacks caused by the use of attenuated lasers. In this study, we present an analysis of the practical aspects of decoy-state QSDC. First, we design a two-decoy-state protocol that only requires two decoy states, thereby significantly reducing experimental complexity. Second, we successfully perform full parameter optimization for a real-life QSDC system by introducing a genetic algorithm. Our simulation results show that the two-decoy-state protocol could be the best choice for developing a practical QSDC system. Furthermore, full optimization is crucial for a high-performance QSDC system.
