1Observation analysis on characteristics of formation,evolution and transition of a long-lasting severe fog and haze episode in North China显示文摘An unusual fog and haze event lasted for one week took place during 1–7 December,2011 over North China.To investigate the characteristics and mechanism of formation,evolution,and transition of the fog and haze event,we studied the microphysical properties such as aerosol,cloud condensation nuclei(CCN),fog droplet spectrum and liquid water content(LWC),as well as horizontal visibility and boundary layer properties,using the data collected in the Project of Low-Visibility Weather Monitoring and Forecasting in the Beijing-Tianjin region.The results indicate that the long-lasting fog and haze event occurred in a high pressure weather system and calm wind condition.The stable boundary-layer structure resulted from temperature inversions that were built by warm advection and radiation cooling provided a favorable condition for the accumulation of polluted aerosols and the formation and development of the fog and haze event.In particular,the continuous southerly wet flow advection made the process a persistent and long-lasting event.The horizontal visibility was almost below 2 km in the whole process,and the lowest visibility was only 56 m.The average LWC was about 10-3 g m-3,and the maximum LWC reached 0.16 g m-3.The aerosol number concentration was more than 10000 cm-3,and its mass concentration ranged from 50 to 160 -g m-3.The further study shows that the fog and haze event experienced three main processes in different intensities during the whole period,each process could be divided into three main stages:aerosol accumulation,transition and mixture of aerosol and fog,and dissipation.Each stage had different physical features:the aerosol accumulation stage was characterized by the increase of aerosol number concentration in Aitken nuclei and accumulation mode sequentially.In the transition and mixing stage of fog and haze,the latent heating produced by fog droplet condensation process and high aerosol number concentration condition intensified the Brownian coagulation process,which induced the small size of aerosols to become larger ones and enhanced the CCN activation process,thereby promoting the explosive development of the fog event.The ratio of aerosol activated to CCN reached 17%,and the ratio of CCN converted to fog droplet exceeded 100%,showing an explosively broadening of fog droplet spectrum.The decrease and dissipation of the fog was caused by an increased solar radiation heating or the passage of cold frontal system.GUO LiJun GUO XueLiang FANG ChunGang ZHU ShiChao 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,3:22

3Research progress in hydrate-based technologies and processes in China:A review显示文摘Natural gas hydrate(NGH) is considered as an alternative energy resource in the future as it is proven to contain about 2 times carbon resources of those contained in the fossil energy on Earth. Gas hydrate technology is a new technology which can be extensively used in methane production from NGH, gas separation and purification, gas transportation, sea–water desalination, pipeline safety and phase change energy storage, etc. Since the 1980s, the gas hydrate technology has become a research hotspot worldwide because of its relatively economic and environmental friendly characteristics. China is a big energy consuming country with coal as a dominant energy.With the development of the society, energy shortage and environmental pollution are becoming great obstacles to the progress of the country. Therefore, in order to ensure the sustainable development of the society, it is of great significance to develop and utilize NGH and vigorously develop the gas hydrate technology. In this paper,the research advances in hydrate-based processes in China are comprehensively reviewed from different aspects,mainly including gas separation and purification, hydrate formation inhibition, sea–water desalination and methane exploitation from NGH by CH4–CO2 replacement. 4Hydrate-based carbon dioxide capture from simulated integrated gasification combined cycle gas显示文摘The equilibrium hydrate formation conditions for CO2/H2 gas mixtures with different CO2 concentrations in 0.29 mol% TBAB aqueous solution are firstly measured.The results illustrate that the equilibrium hydrate formation pressure increases remarkably with the decrease of CO2 concentration in the gas mixture.Based on the phase equilibrium data,a three stages hydrate CO2 separation from integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) synthesis gas is investigated.Because the separation efficiency is quite low for the third hydrate separation,a hybrid CO2 separation process of two hydrate stages in conjunction with one chemical absorption process (absorption with MEA) is proposed and studied.The experimental results show H2 concentration in the final residual gas released from the three stages hydrate CO2 separation process was approximately 95.0 mol% while that released from the hybrid CO2 separation process was approximately 99.4 mol%.Thus,the hybrid process is possible to be a promising technology for the industrial application in the future.Chungang Xu Xiaosen Li Jing Cai Zhaoyang Chen 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,5:5

6Effect of Shenqi Yangxin decoction on high mobility group box 1and inflammatory signal pathway in a rat model of dilated cardiomyopathy显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Shenqi Yangxin decoction(SQYXD) on heart function in a rat model of dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM) and its potential mechanisms.METHODS: Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into normal(10 rats) and DCM(150 rats)groups. DCM was induced by an intraperitoneal injection of adriamycin. Then, DCM baseline group was randomly selected sixteen DCM rats. The remaining DCM rats were randomly divided into DCM control, perindopril, metoprolol, and SQYXD groups. Cardiac function and histological analysis plus biochemical measurement of serum levels of brain natriuretic peptide(BNP), and inflammatory factors were measured. The mRNA and protein expression levels of high-mobility group box 1(HMGB1), Toll-like receptor 4(TLR-4), receptor for advanced glycation end products(RAGE), and nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB) were determined. Myocardial metabolism imaging was performed on the normal, SQYXD and DCM control groups to evaluate the effectiveness of treatments.RESULTS: Rats in the DCM control group exhibited dilated left ventricular diameter, impaired cardiac function, disorganized sarcomere, impaired glucose metabolism, increased heart weight index,and increased levels of BNP, which were improved by treatment with SQYXD. In addition, hearts from rats in the DCM baseline group exhibited significantly higher levels of HMGB1, TLR-4, RAGE, NF-κB,tumor necrosis factor-α, interleukin-1, interleukin-6, interleukin-10, compared with the normal group. Interestingly, the mRNA level of HMGB1 in the DCM baseline group was positively correlated with that of TLR-4, RAGE, NF-κB, BNP, and LVEDD,but negatively correlated with LVEF. SQYXD inhibited the upregulation of HMGB1 expression and its downstream inflammatory factors.CONCLUSION: Shenqi Yangxin decoction effectively reduced the dilated left ventricular diameter and improved heart function in dilated cardiomyopathy. 7Indirect-direct band gap transition of two-dimensional arsenic layered semiconductors—cousins of black phosphorus显示文摘The monolayer arsenic in the puckered honeycomb structure was recently predicted to be a stable two-dimensional layered semiconductor and therefore named arsenene. Unfortunately, it has an indirect band gap, which limits its practical application. Using first-principles calculations, we show that the band gaps of few-layer arsenic have an indirect-direct transition as the number of arsenic layers(n) increases from n=1 to n=2. As n increases from n=2 to infinity, the stacking of the puckered honeycomb arsenic layers forms the orthorhombic arsenic crystal ??-As, arsenolamprite), which has a similar structure to the black phosphorus and also has a direct band gap. This indirect-direct transition stems from the distinct quantum-confinement effect on the indirect and direct band-edge states with different wavefunction distribution. The strain effect on these electronic states is also studied, showing that the in-plane strains can induce very different shift of the indirect and direct band edges, and thus inducing an indirect-direct band gap transition too. The band gap dependence on strain is non-monotonic, with both positive and negative deformation potentials. Although the gap of arsenene opens between As p-p bands, the spin-orbit interaction decreases the gap by only 0.02 e V, which is much smaller than the decrease in Ga As with an s-p band gap. 9De Casteljau Algorithm and Degree Elevation of Toric Surface Patches显示文摘De Casteljau algorithm and degree elevation of Bézier and NURBS curves/surfaces are two important techniques in computer aided geometric design. This paper presents the de Casteljau algorithm and degree elevation of toric surface patches, which include tensor product and triangular rational Bézier surfaces as special cases. Some representative examples of toric surface patches with common shapes are illustrated to verify these two algorithms. Moreover, the authors also apply the degree elevation of toric surface patches to isogeometric analysis. 11Identification of Planar Sextic Pythagorean-Hodograph Curves显示文摘Pythagorean-hodograph(PH) curves offer computational advantages in Computer Aided Geometric Design, Computer Aided Design, Computer Graphics, Computer Numerical Control machining and similar applications. In this paper, three methods are utilized to construct the identifications of planar regular sextic PH curves. The first exhibits purely the control polygon legs' constraints in the complex form. Such reconstruction of a PH sextic can be elaborated by C1 Hermite data and another one condition. The second uses polar representation in two cases. One of them can produce a family of convex sextic PH curves related with a quintic PH curve, and the other one may naturally degenerate a sextic PH curve to a quintic PH curve. 12Facile Approach to Synthesize Gold Nanorod@Polyacrylic Acid/Calcium Phosphate Yolk–Shell Nanoparticles for Dual-Mode Imaging and pH/NIR-Responsive Drug Delivery显示文摘A facile strategy to fabricate gold nanorod@polyacrylic acid/calcium phosphate(Au NR@-PAA/Ca P) yolk–shell nanoparticles(NPs) composed with a PAA/Ca P shell and an Au NR yolk is reported. The asobtained Au NR@PAA/Ca P yolk–shell NPs possess ultrahigh doxorubicin(DOX) loading capability(1 mg DOX/mg NPs), superior photothermal conversion property(26%)and p H/near-infrared(NIR) dual-responsive drug delivery performance. The released DOX continuously increased due to the damage of the Ca P shell at low p H values. When the DOX-loaded Au NR@PAA/Ca P yolk–shell NPs wereexposed to NIR irradiation, a burst-like drug release occurs owing to the heat produced by the Au NRs. Furthermore,Au NR@PAA/Ca P yolk–shell NPs are successfully employed for synergic dual-mode X-ray computed tomography/photoacoustic imaging and chemo-photothermal cancer therapy. 13Effect of temperature fluctuation on hydrate-based CO_2 separation from fuel gas显示文摘A new method of temperature fluctuation is proposed to promote the process of hydrate-based CO2 separation from fuel gas in this work according to the dual nature of CO2 solubility in hydrate forming and non-hydrate forming regions [1].The temperature fluctuation operated in the process of hydrate formation improves the formation of gas hydrate observably.The amount of the gas consumed with temperature fluctuation is approximately 35% more than that without temperature fluctuation.It is found that only the temperature fluctuation operated in the period of forming hydrate leads to a good effect on CO2 separation.Meanwhile,with the proceeding of hydrate formation,the effect of temperature fluctuation on the gas hydrate gradually reduces,and little effect is left in the completion term.The CO2 separation efficiencies in the separation processes with the effective temperature fluctuations are improved remarkably.Xiaosen Li Chungang Xu Zhaoyang Chen Huijie Wu Jing Cai 2011Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2011,20,6:2
14Effect of Yiqi Yangyin prescription in treatment of dilated cardiomyopathy: a Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Yiqi Yangyin prescription for dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM).METHODS: Electronic databases were searched for relevant clinical randomized controlled trials of DCM treatment using Yiqi Yangyin prescription(Shengmai and Zhigancao decoction). Databases searched included Pub Med, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database, Wanfang Database, China Science and Technology Journal Database, and Chinese Biological Medicine from January 1, 1985, to October 31,2015. After literature screening and data extraction according to previously determined exclusion criteria, data were analyzed using Rev Man 5.3 and Stata12.0. Study heterogeneity was evaluated using the I2 test and Cochran's Q test. Egger's test was used to detect publication bias.RESULTS: Nineteen trials involving 1024 partici-pants were included in the Meta-analysis. Of these,15 used Shengmai(treatment group: 421 cases;control group: 344 cases) and 4 used Zhigancao decoction(treatment group: 133 cases; control group:126 cases). A Meta-analysis demonstrated that the total curative effect was significantly improved by combining Shengmai with conventional treatment[relative risk(RR) = 1.32, 95% confidence intervals(CI)(1.22, 1.43), P < 0.01]. Left ventricular ejection fraction [standard mean difference(SMD) = 1.13,95% CI(0.55, 1.70), P < 0.01] and left ventricular end diastolic [SMD =-0.46, 95% CI(-0.70,-0.23), P <0.01] were also improved. Adding Zhigancao decoction achieved the same effect [total efficiency of RR = 1.34, 95% CI(1.16, 1.54), P < 0.01].CONCLUSION: Compared with conventional therapy, Yiqi Yangyin prescription can significantly improve the curative effect, increase left ventricular ejection fraction, and reduce left ventricular end diastolic. 15Detecting Data-flow Errors Based on Petri Nets With Data Operations显示文摘In order to guarantee the correctness of business processes, not only control-flow errors but also data-flow errors should be considered. The control-flow errors mainly focus on deadlock, livelock, soundness, and so on. However, there are not too many methods for detecting data-flow errors. This paper defines Petri nets with data operations(PN-DO) that can model the operations on data such as read, write and delete. Based on PN-DO, we define some data-flow errors in this paper. We construct a reachability graph with data operations for each PN-DO, and then propose a method to reduce the reachability graph. Based on the reduced reachability graph, data-flow errors can be detected rapidly. 16Methane hydrate formation and dissociation behaviors in montmorillonite显示文摘The methane hydrate formation and the methane hydrate dissociation behaviors in montmorillonite are experimentally studied. Through the analyses of the microstructure characteristic, the study obtains the porous characteristic of montmorillonite. It is indicated that methane hydrate in montmorillonite forms the structure I (si) crystal. Meanwhile, molecular dynamics simulation is carried out to study the processes of the methane hydrate formation and the methane hydrate dissociation in montmorillonite. The microstructure and microscopic properties are analyzed. The methane hydrate formation and methane hydrate dissociation mechanisms in the montmorillonite nanopore and on the montmorillonite surface are expounded. Combining the experimental and simulating analyses, the results indicate the methane hydrate formation and methane hydrate dissociation processes have little influence upon the crystal structure of porous media from either micro- or macro-analysis.
