1Effect of exposure to ambient PM2.5 pollution on the risk of respiratory tract diseases: a meta-analysis of cohort studies显示文摘The International Agency for Research on Cancer and the World Health Organization have designated airborne particulates,including particulates of median aerodynamic diameter < 2.5um(PM_(2.5)),as Group 1 carcinogens.It has not been determined,however,whether exposure to ambient PM_(2.5) is associated with an increase in respiratory related diseases.This meta-analysis assessed the association between exposure to ambient fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5)) and the risk of respiratory tract diseases,using relevant articles extracted from PubMed,Web of Science,and Embase.In results,of the 1,126 articles originally identified,35(3.1%) were included in this meta-analysis.PM_(2.5)was found to be associated with respiratory tract diseases.After subdivision by age group,respiratory tract disease,and continent,PM_(2.5) was strongly associated with respiratory tract diseases in children,in persons with cough,lower respiratory illness,and wheezing,and in individuals from North America,Europe,and Asia.The risk of respiratory tract diseases was greater for exposure to traffic-related than non-traffic-related air pollution.In children,the pooled relative risk(RR) represented significant increases in wheezing(8.2%),cough(7.5%),and lower respiratory illness(15.3%).The pooled RRs in children were 1.091(95%CI:1.049,1.135) for exposure to<25 μg/m^3 PM_(2.5),and 1.126(95%CI:1.067,1.190) for exposure to > 25 μg/m^3 PM_(2.5).In conclusion,exposure to ambient PM_(2.5) was significantly associated with the development of respiratory tract diseases,especially in children exposed to high concentrations of PM_(2.5).Qian Liu Cheng Xu Guixiang Ji Hui Liu Wentao Shao Chunlan Zhang Aihua Gu Peng Zhao 2017The Journal of Biomedical Research2017,31,2:16
2A robust graphene oxide memristor enabled by organic pyridinium intercalation for artificial biosynapse application显示文摘Graphene oxide(GO)-based memristors offer the promise of low cost,eco-friendliness,and mechanical flexibility,making them attractive candidates for outstanding flexible electronic devices.However,their resistive transitions often display abrupt change rather than bidirectional progressive tuning,which largely limits their applications for biological synapse emulation and neuromorphic computing.Here,a memristor with a novel layered structure of GO/pyridinium/GO is presented with tunable bidirectional feature.The inserted organic pyridinium intercalation succeeds in serving as a satisfactory buffer layer to intrinsically control the formation of conductive filaments during device operation,leading to progressive conductance regulation.Thus,the essential synaptic behaviors including analog memory characteristics,excitatory postsynaptic current,paired pulse facilitation,prepulse inhibition,spike-timing-dependent plasticity,and spike-rate-dependent plasticity are replicated.The emulation of brain-like“learning-forgetting-relearning”process is also implemented.Additionally,the instant responses of the memristor can be stimulated by low operational voltages and short pulse widths.This study paves one way for GO-based memristors to actuate appealing features such as bidirectional tuning and fast speed switching that are desirable for the development of bio-inspired neuromorphic systems.Yang Li Songtao Ling Ruiyu He Cheng Zhang Yue Dong Chunlan Ma Yucheng Jiang Ju Gao Jinghui He Qichun Zhang 2023Nano Research2023,16,8:1

6Scutellarin alleviates liver injury in type 2 diabetic mellitus by suppressing hepatocyte apoptosis in vitro and in vivo显示文摘Objective: Scutellarin is a primary active composition come from Erigeron breviscapus. It is well known that scutellarin has anti-infammatory and antioxidant physiological functions. In this study, we detected the effects of scutellarin on hepatocyte cell apoptosis in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) rats.Methods: Sprague Dawley(SD)(6–8 weeks, 160–180 g) rats were randomly divided into six groups: control, model, scutellarin low-dose, medium-dose, high-dose treatment, and rosiglitazone positive groups;with 10 SD rats in each group(n = 10). The changes of biochemical factors in serum were detected by automatic biochemical instrument, the pathological changes of liver tissue were detected by hematoxylin and eosin(HE) staining, the apoptosis of liver tissue and cells was detected by tissue staining and fow analyzer, and the expression of apoptosis-related factors were determined by q PCR, Western blot and immunohistochemistry in liver tissues or cells.Results: The results showed that scutellarin decreased the levels of fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride, and low-density lipoprotein and increased the levels of high-density lipoprotein.Meanwhile, scutellarin decreased the levels of alanine transaminase(ALT) and aspartate transaminase(AST) and improved liver function. In addition, scutellarin suppressed the secretion of interleukin-1(IL-1), interleukin-6(IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-a(TNF-a) and reduced hepatocyte apoptosis.Furthermore, scutellarin inhibited the expression of cleaved Caspase-3, Bax, and cytochrome C(Cyt-C)and promoted the expression of Bcl-2.Conclusion: Scutellarin can inhibit the apoptotic pathway, thereby relieving T2DM.Xiaoming Fan Yiyu Wang Xifan Li Taiqing Zhong Chunlan Cheng Yunfei Zhang 2023Chinese Herbal Medicines2023,15,4:0
7Variable Learning-Memory Behavior fromπ-Conjugated Ligand to Ligand-Containing Cobalt(II)Complex显示文摘In the information-explosion era,developing novel algorithms and memristive devices has become a promising concept for next-generation capacity enlargement technology.Organic small molecule-based devices displaying superior learning-memory performance have attracted much attention,except for the existence of poor heat-resilience and mediocre conductivity.In this paper,a strategy of transforming an organic-type data-storage material to metal complex is proposed to resolve these intrinsic issues.A pristine NDI-derivative(NIPy)and its corresponding Co(II)complex(CoNIPy)are synthesized for the purpose of electrical property investigation.CoNIPy complex-based memristive device exhibits superior ternary WORM memory performance compared with the binary behavior of NIPy,including>104 s of reading,lower threshold voltage(V_(th)),1:10^(2):10^(5)of OFF/ON1/ON2 current ratio,and long-term stability in heating environment.The variable learning-memory behavior can be attributed to the enhanced ligand-to-metal charge transfer(LMCT)and improved redox activity after the introduction of central metal atom and coordination bond.These studies on material innovation and optimal performance are of great importance not only for environmentally-robust memristive devices but also for practical application of a host of organic electronic devices.Cheng Zhang Mohan Chen Guan Wang Ming Teng Songtao Ling Yanan Wang Zhaojun Su Kun Gao Xinbo Yang Chunlan Ma Yang Li Qichun Zhang 2022Chinese Journal of Chemistry2022,40,19:0
