| 2 | Influence of Tip Clearance on Performance of a Contra-Rotating Fan显示文摘Influences of tip clearance on the tip flow and associated loss mechanism in a contra-rotating axial flow fan hasbeen studied in the paper, based on three dimensional numerical results. The results with different tip clearanceare compared in terms of stage efficiency, relative total pressure loss coefficient, flow angle. It is found that theefficiency of the contra-rotating fan changes almost linearly with increment of the tip clearance, however, efficiencyof the rear rotor is observed to decrease more dramatically than that of the forward rotor given same tipclearance variation. The analysis on the flow structure indicates that the tip region flow field is qualitatively similarin both rotors. | 3 | Numerical and experimental investigations for an air cannon optimization显示文摘Air cannon is a kind of de-clogging device which produces impulse force by instantly releasing the compressed air deposited in a pressure vessel.Air cannons are widely used in the transport pipes of warehouses,docks,furnaces and coal mines.In this paper,the theoretical analysis with isentropic flow hypothesis is firstly conducted on a simplified model to deduce the theoretical maximum of impulse force.And numerical study is carried out to predict the steady and unsteady impulse forces via simulating the whole exhausting process of the air cannon.The results demonstrate that the impulse force can be improved via increasing the piston sleeve inlet length and increasing the nozzle diameter.Laval nozzle can also increase the impulse force of the air without increasing the air mass flow.The optimization of the air cannon is then conducted on the basis of the theoretical and numerical analyses.Experimental measurements indicate that the computations well simulate the working process of the air cannon and the impulse force of the optimized design is 50%higher than the original model.For the cases with working pressure of 0.8 MPa,the optimized design is 60%higher than the original one. | XU Jian CHEN HaiSheng TAN ChunQing CHEN HuanZhuo ZHOU GenSheng | 2011 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,2: | 3 |

| 5 | Analysis on Lean Blowout of Swirl Cup Combustor at Atmospheric Pressure Condition显示文摘The experimental data of lean blowout fuel/air ratio of a rectangular swirl cup combustor with different inlet temperatures was obtained at atmospheric pressure condition.Numerical simulations both burning and non-burning were performed corresponding to the experimental data at lean blowout.Results indicated that the size of the recirculation region in the primary zone was obviously smaller when burning than non-burning,but the locations of the cores of their recirculation regions were almost the same.The increase of inlet air temperature didn't mean the rise of the temperature of recirculation region core.The location of the maximum temperature in the primary zone was not the same as that one of the core temperature of the recirculation region.Further more,the reasons were analyzed how the lean blowout fuel/air ratio changed with the inlet temperature increasing under the actions of factors both positive and negative to combustion,and this would be helpful to deepen the understanding of the lean blowout process of swirl cup combustor. | Yixiang Yuan Hailin Fan Xiyang Liu Qi Dong Chunqing Tan Baoting Guo | 2011 | Journal of Thermal Science2011,20,4: | 2 |

A new method, termed the two-step method, was proposed and the productivity of four-arm DNA junctions was increased. A nanoweb was assembled successfully, but it showed irregularity itself. | 13 | A Study on Lean Blowout of Multi-vortexes-dome Model Combustor显示文摘The lean blowout experiments of the combustion stability device A (multi-vortexes-dome model combustor) have been carried out at atmospheric pressure. Compared with the device B (single-vortex-dome model combustor), the experimental results show that the device A has a superior lean blowout performance when the combustor reference velocity is within the range from 3.50m/s to 5.59m/s ( while the liner reference velocity is between 3.84 and 6.13m/s), and this superiority will remain stable after the inlet air flow rate reaches a certain value.
