| 1 | Boundary-processing-technique in EMD method and Hilbert transform显示文摘By virtue of neural network, a series of signals is extended forward and backward, as a result, two additional maxima and two additional minima are obtained at both ends of the original data set, with which the EMD decomposition can be exactly achieved with cubic spline interpolation. Meanwhile, by using of neural network every IMF component can also be extended forward and backward, which effectively restrains the end effect, thus the veracious Hilbert spectra are achieved. | 2 | Extracorporeal shock-wave versus pneumatic ureteroscopic lithotripsy in treatment of lower ureteral calculi显示文摘Aim:To compae the efficacy and complications of extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy (SWL) and pneumatic ureteroscopic lithotripsy(URS) in the treatment of lower ureteral calculi.Methods:From August 1997 to June 1999,210 patients with calculi in the distal third of the ureter were treated with SWL and other 180 with URS.The stones were fragmented with either HB-ESWL-V lithotripter or JML-93 pneumatic lithotripter through Wolf 7.5-9.0 Fr ureteroscope.The outcome was assessed in terms of stone clearance rate,re-treatment rate and complication incidence.Results:the stone clearance rate was 78.1% with SWL and 93.3% with URS (p<0.05).SWL had a re-treatment rate of 11.9%,vs 2.2% in the URS group (P<0.05).URS caused ureteral perforation in 3.3% of patients,while it was o with SWL (P<0.05).The differences in the incidence of other complications such as infection and stricture between the two groups were insignificant.conclusion:Though the selection of these two options depends on equipments available and the expertise of the operator,we recomment URS as the optimal treatment for distal ureteral calculi. | Zeng, GQ Zhong, WD Cai, YB Dai, QS Hu, JB Wei, HA | 2002 | Asian Journal of Andrology2002,4,4: | 17 |
| 3 | Irritable bowel syndrome and functional constipation management with integrative medicine: A systematic review显示文摘BACKGROUND Irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)and functional constipation(FC)are two commonly encountered functional gastrointestinal disorders in clinical practice and are usually managed with Western medicines in cooperation with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)interventions.Although clinical practice guidelines(CPGs)have been developed to assist clinicians with their decisions,there are still gaps in management with regard to integrative medicine(IM)recommendations.AIM To comprehensively review the currently available CPGs and to provide a reference for addressing the gaps in IBS and FC management.METHODS We searched mainstream English and Chinese databases and collected data from January 1990 to January 2019.The search was additionally enriched by manual searches and the use of publicly available resources.Based on the development method,the guidelines were classified into evidence-based(EB)guidelines,consensus-based(CB)guidelines,and consensus-based guidelines with no comprehensive consideration of the EB(CB-EB)guidelines.With regard to the recommendations,the strength of the interventions was uniformly converted to a 4-point grading scale.RESULTS Thirty CPGs met the inclusion criteria and were captured as data extraction sources.Most Western medicine(WM)CPGs were developed as EB guidelines.All TCM CPGs and most IM CPGs were identified as CB guidelines.Only the 2011 IBS and IM CPG was a CB-EB set of guidelines.Antispasmodics and peppermint oil for pain,loperamide for diarrhea,and linaclotide for constipation polyethylene glycol and lactulose as osmotic laxatives,bisacodyl and sodium picosulfate as stimulant laxatives,lubiprostone and linaclotide as prosecretory agents,and prucalopride were strongly recommended or recommended in FC.TCM interventions were suggested based on pattern differentiation,while the recommendation level was considered to be weak or insufficient.CONCLUSION WM CPGs generally provide a comprehensive management algorithm,although there are still some gaps that could be addressed with TCM.Specific high-quality trials are needed to enrich the evidence. | Liang Dai Linda LD Zhong Guang Ji | 2019 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2019,7,21: | 14 |

| 7 | Effects of Laser Shock Processing on Mechanical Properties of Laser Welded ANSI 304 Stainless Steel Joint显示文摘With the rapid development of engineering component with integration,high-speed and multi-parameter,traditional techniques haven't met practical needs in extreme service environment.Laser welding,a new welding technology,has been widely used.However,it would generate the drop of mechanical properties for laser welded joint due to its thermal effect.Laser shock processing(LSP) is one of the most effective methods to improve the mechanical properties of laser welded ANSI 304 stainless steel joint.In this paper,the effects of LSP on the mechanical properties of laser welded ANSI 304 stainless steel joint have been investigated.The welded joint on the front of the tensile samples is treated by LSP impacts,and the overlapping rate of the laser spot is 50%.The tensile test of the laser welded joint with and without LSP impacts is carried out,and the fracture morphology of the tensile samples is analyzed by scanning electron microscope(SEM).Compared with the yield strength of 11.70 kN,the tensile strength of 37.66 kN,the yield-to-tensile strength ratio of 0.310 7,the elongation of 25.20%,the area reduction of 32.68% and the elastic modulus of 13 063.876 MPa,the corresponding values after LSP impacts are 14.25 kN,38.74 kN,0.367 8,26.58%,42.29% and 14 754.394 MPa,respectively.Through LSP impacts,the increasing ratio of the yield strength and tensile strength are 121.79% and 102.87%,respectively;the elongation and area reduction are improved by 5.48% and 29.38%,respectively.By comparing with coarse fracture surface of the welded joint,the delamination splitting with some cracks in the sharp corner of the welded joint and asymmetric dimples,LSP can cause brighter fracture surface,and finer and more uniform dimples.Finally,the schematic illustration of dimple formation with LSP is clearly described.The proposed research ensures that the LSP technology can clearly improve the yield strength,tensile strength,yield-to-tensile strength ratio,elongation,area reduction and elastic modulus of the welded joint.The enhancement mechanism of LSP on laser welded ANSI 304 stainless steel joint is mainly due to the fact that the refined and uniform dimples effectively delay the fracture of laser welded joints. | ZHANG Yongkang ZHANG Lei LUO Kaiyu SUN Guifang LU Jinzhong DAI Fengze ZHONG Junwei | 2012 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2012,25,2: | 11 |
| 8 | A mini-review on rare-earth down-conversion nanoparticles for NIR-II imaging of biological systems显示文摘Rare-earth(RE)based luminescent probes exhibit rich optical properties including upconversion and down-conversion luminescence spanning a broad spectral range from 300 to 3,000 nm,and have generated great scientific and practical interest from telecommunication to biological imaging.While upconversion nanoparticles have been investigated for decades,down-conversion luminescence of RE-based probes in the second near-infrared(NIR-II,1,000-1,700 nm)window for in vivo biological imaging with sub-centimeter tissue penetration and micrometer image resolution has come into light only recently.In this review,we present recent progress on RE-based NIR-II probes for in vivo vasculature and molecular imaging with a focus on Er3+-based nanoparticles due to the down-conversion luminescence at the long-wavelength end of the NIR-II window(NIR-IIb,1,500-1,700 nm).Imaging in NIR-IIb is superior to imaging with organic probes such as ICG and IRDye800 in the^800 nm NIR range and the 1,000-1,300 nm short end of NIR-II range,owing to minimized light scattering and autofluorescence background.Doping by cerium and other ions and phase engineering of Er^3+-based nanoparticles,combined with surface hydrophilic coating optimization can afford ultrabright,biocompatible NIR-IIb probe towards clinical translation for human use.The Nd^3+-based probes with NIR-II emission at 1,050 and 1,330 nm are also discussed,including Nd^3+doped nanocrystals and Nd^3+-organic ligand complexes.This review also points out future directions for further development of multi-functional RE NIR-II probes for biological imaging. | Yeteng Zhong Hongjie Dai | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,5: | 11 |

| 10 | Review on the decomposition and influence factors of coarse woody debris in forest ecosystem显示文摘Coarse woody debris (CWD) is an important and particular component of forest ecosystems and is extremely important to forest health. This review describes the decomposition process, decomposition model and influence factors. CWD decomposition is a complex and continuous process and characterizes many biological and physical processes, including biological respiration, leaching, and fragmentation. All these processes have closed relationships between each other and work synergistically. During decomposition, there are many controlling factors mainly including site conditions (temperature, humidity, and O2/CO2 concentration), woody substrate quality (diameter, species and compound) and organism in CWD. The decomposition rate is generally expresses through a constant k which indicate the percent mass, volume or density loss over time, and can be determined by long-term monitoring, chronosequence approach and the radio between input and the total mass. Now using mathematical models to simulate decomposition patterns and estimate the decomposition rate is widely applied, especially the exponential model. We brought forward that managing and utilizing for the CWD in forest was a primary objective on all forest lands. | 11 | A Preliminary Study on the Soft–Sediment Deformation Structures in the Late Quaternary Lacustrine Sediments at Tashkorgan, Northeastern Pamir, China显示文摘This study identified soft–sediment deformation structures(SSDS) of seismic origin from lacustrine sediments in the late Quaternary paleo–dammed lake at Tashkorgan, northeastern Pamir. The observed deformation structures include sand dykes, liquefied diapir and convolute structures, gravity induced SSDS, and thixotropic pillar and tabular structures. We conducted a preliminary study on the morphology, formation and trigger mechanisms of pillar and tabular structures formed by liquefaction of underlying coarse sand and thixotropy of the upper silty clay. The regional tectonic setting and distribution of lacustrine strata indicate that the most probable trigger for the SSDS in lacustrine sediments was seismic activity, with an approximate earthquake magnitude of M>6.0; the potential seismogenic fault is the southern part of the Kongur normal fault extensional system. AMS 14 C dating results indicate that the SSDS were formed by seismic events occurring between 26050±100 yr BP and 22710±80 yr BP, implying intense fault activity in this region during the late Pleistocene. | 14 | Inhibitory effects of genistein on metastasis of human hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘AIM:To investigate the inhibitory effects of genistein on metastasis of MHCC97-H hepatocellular carcinoma cells and to explore the underlying mechanism.METHODS:MHCC97-H hepatocellular carcinoma cells were exposed to genistein.A cell attachment assay was carried out in a microculture well pre-coated with fibronectin.The invasive activity of tumor cells was assayed in a transwell cell culture chamber,and cell cycle and apoptosis were evaluated by a functional assay.In addition,the expression and phosphorylation of FAK were detected by Western blotting.In situ xenograft transplantation of hepatocellular carcinoma was performed in 12 nude mice and lung metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma was observed.RESULTS:Genistein signifi cantly inhibited the growth of MHCC97-H cells in vitro.Adhesion and invasiveness of MHCC97-H cells were inhibited in a concentration-dependent fashion,and the inhibitory effect of genistein was more potent in the 10 μg/mL and 20 μg/ mL genistein-treated groups.Genistein caused G0/G1 cell cycle arrest,an S phase decrease,and increased apoptosis.The expression and phosphorylation of FAK in MHCC-97H cells were signifi cantly decreased.In situ xenograft transplantation of hepatocellular carcinoma was also significantly suppressed by genistein.The number of pulmonary micrometastatic foci in the genistein group was signifi cantly lower compared with the control group(12.3±1.8 vs 16.6±2.6,P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Genistein appears to be a promising agent in the inhibition of metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma. | Yan Gu Cheng-Fang Zhu Ya-Lei Dai Qiang Zhong Bo Sun | 2009 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2009,15,39: | 8 |

| 16 | Novel functional proteins interact with midkine in hepatic cancer cells显示文摘BACKGROUND: Midkine is a heparin-binding growth factor that promotes the proliferation, survival, migration and differentiation of various target cells. Midkine plays an important role in tumorigenesis and tumor progression, and is overexpressed in many human malignant tumors. Patients with high tumor midkine expression frequently have a worse prognosis than those with low expression. The present study was designed to investigate the interaction network of midkine in hepatic cancer cells, and to elucidate its role in hepatocellular carcinoma. METHODS: DNA encoding full-length midkine was cloned into pDBLeu vector to serve as bait in yeast two-hybrid screening to identify interacting proteins. Candidate proteins were examined on SC-Leu-Trp-His+3-AT (20 mmol/L) plates and assayed for X-gal activity, then sequenced and classified according to the GenBank. Finally, identified proteins were expressed by the in vitro expression system pCMVTnT, and protein interactions were confirmed by co-immunoprecipitation. RESULTS: Using the yeast two-hybrid system, we found 6 proteins that interacted with midkine: NK-kappa-B inhibitor alpha (I-κ-B-α), Dvl-binding protein naked cuticle 2, granulin, latent active TGF-β binding protein 3, latent active TGF-β binding protein 4, and phospholipid scramblase 1. Then, through radical graft copolymerization of thermo-sensitive monomer N-isopropylacrylamide(NIPAm) and hydrophilic monomer acrylic acid(AA) onto the surface of P(MMA–St) nanospheres at 80 °C, a series of thermo-sensitive polymer nanospheres, named SD-SEAL with different lower critical solution temperatures(LCST), were prepared by adjusting the mole ratio of NIPAm to AA. The products were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, particle size distribution, and specific surface area analysis. The temperature-sensitive behavior was studied by light transmittance tests, while the sealing performance was investigated by pressure transmission tests with Lungmachi Formation shales. The experimental results showed that the synthesized nanoparticles are sensitive to temperature and had apparent LCST values which increased with an increase in hydrophilic monomer AA.When the temperature was higher than its LCST value, SDSEAL played a dual role of physical plugging and chemical inhibition, slowed down pressure transmission, and reduced shale permeability remarkably. The fracture toughness and microhardness of nanocrystalline LZ (n-LZ), microcrystalline LZ (m-LZ) and LZ-5mol%8YSZ (LZ-5-8YSZ) composite (8YSZ for zirconia stabilized by 8 mol% ytrria) were studied. The n-LZ had a thermal expansion coefficient of (9.6±0.4)×10 -6 K -1 (200~1000℃) and fracture toughness of (1.98±0.07) MPa·m 1/2 which are obviously higher than those of the m-LZ ( (9.1±0.4)×10 -6 K -1 and (1.40±0.23) MPa·m 1/2, respectively), indicating that nanofication was an efficient way to increase the toughness and thermal expansion coefficient of LZ.
