| 1 | Vascularity of hepatic VX2 tumors of rabbits: Assessment with conventional power Doppler US and contrast enhanced harmonic power Doppler US显示文摘AIM: To investigate the characteristics of the vascularity ofhepatic metastasis.METHODS: Six New Zealand rabbits, weighing averagely2.7±0.4 kg, were selected and operated to establish hepaticVX2 tumor carrier model. Hepatic VX2 tumors were thenimaged with conventional B mode US, second harmonicimaging (SHI), color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI), powerDoppler imaging (PDI) and harmonic PDI by a transducerS8 connected to HP-5 500 ultrasound system. A kind of selfmade echo contrast agent was intravenously injected at adose of 0.01 mL/kg through ear vein, and then the venouspassage was cleaned with sterilized saline.RESULTS: Totally, 6 hypoechoic lesions and 3 hyperechoiclesions were found in the six carrier rabbits with a mean sizeabout 2.1±0.4 cm under conventional B mode ultrasound, theywere oval or round in shape with a dear outline or a hypoechoichalo at the margin of the lesions. Contrast agent could notchange the echogenicity of the lesions under conventional Bmode and SHI, however, it could greatly increase the flowsensitivity of the lesions under PDI and harmonic PDI. | 2 | Growth and nutrient dynamics of Betula alnoides seedlings under exponential fertilization显示文摘Betula alnoides is a fast-growing hardwood species grown in large plantations in Southeast Asia and South China.Nitrogen requirements for producing robus seedlings,growth and nutrient dynamics were investigated using exponential fertilization treatments.Root collar diameter,height,dry mass and nutrient contents of seedlings increased exponentially in all fertilization treatments as time progressed.Moreover,with water soluble fertilizer(Plant Products plus microelements N–P_2O_5–K_2O:20–20–20),300 mg N seedling^(-1)was adequate.Vector analysis revealed that P was the most responsive nutrient element followed by N and K.Dilutions of N and K were evident in the plants without N addition,which induced initial P sufficiency and then luxury consumption probably due to the antagonistic interaction between N and P.However deficiencies of N,P and K were mostly observed in al exponential regimes during the experiment because seedling growth rate exceeded nutrient uptake rate,inferring that further study on improving the nutrient uptake efficiency is needed.Analysis of relationships among nutrient supply,dry mass,N content and N concentration demonstrated that 100–400 mg N seedling^(-1)induced sufficiency to luxury consumption of nitrogen without significant change in dry mass,and 400 mg N seedling^(-1)is recommended to apply for nutrient loading of seedlings before outplanting.The findings will help improve seedling quality and enhance the production of robust seedlings for plantation forestry of this species. | Lin Chen Chunsheng Wang Bernard Dell Zhigang Zhao Junjie Guo Daping Xu Jie Zeng | 2018 | Journal of Forestry Research2018,29,1: | 14 |
| 3 | Flexible and transparent graphene/silver-nanowires composite ?lm for high electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness显示文摘Herein, an efficient approach to prepare flexible, transparent, and lightweight films based on graphene nanosheets(GNS) and silver nanowires(AgNWs) for high electromagnetic interference(EMI) shielding effectiveness(SE) has been explained. High-conductive GNS were fabricated by liquid phase stripping and composited with AgNWs by a two-step spin-coating method. Owing to the high transparency, good conductivity, and homogeneous distribution of both GNS and AgNWs, the obtained GNS/AgNWs film exhibits superb EMI SE and light transmittance, yielding a significantly high EMI SE up to 26 dB in both Ku-band and K-band and light transmittance higher than 78.4%. Moreover, this GNS/AgNWs film shows good flexibility and excellent structural stability. | 4 | Highly sensitive wearable sensor based on a flexible multi-layer graphene film antenna显示文摘The use of advanced carbon nanomaterials for flexible antenna sensors has attracted great attention due to their outstanding electromechanical properties. However, carbon nanomaterial based composites have yet to overcome drawbacks, such as low conductivity and toughness. In this work, a flexible multi-layer graphene film(FGF) with a high conductivity of 10~6 S/m for antenna based wearable sensors is investigated. A 1.63 GHz FGF antenna sensor exhibits significantly high strain sensitivity of 9.8 for compressive bending and 9.36 for tensile bending, which is super than the copper antenna sensor(5.39 for compressive bending and 4.05 for tensile bending). | 5 | Study of high-precision earth sensor with triple-FOV显示文摘Earth sensors are widely used in spacecraft for attitude determination. They need to have a very large field of view(FOV)( > 120°) and relatively low accuracy while being used in the aircrafts around orbit. A triple-FOV infrared earth sensor is proposed in this paper. It uses three pieces of standard infrared detectors with a wavelength range of 14;16μm,to sense the horizontal circle by detecting the infrared light emitted from the earth. From which,the geocentric vector can be obtained. A mathematic model is established and a validation model is set up to provide input parameters for the mathematic model. The simulation results of the two models show that the output of the mathematic model coincides with the known parameters. Based on the above analysis,a prototype has been built and tested. | 6 | Radar maneuvering target tracking algorithm based on human cognition mechanism显示文摘Radar Maneuvering Targets Tracking(RMTT) in clutter is a quite challenging issue due to the errors in the models and the varying dynamics of the processes. Modern radar tracking system calls for the adaptive signal and data processing algorithm urgently to adapt the uncertainty of the environment. The mechanism of human cognition can help persons cope with the similar diffi-culties in visual tracking. Inspired by human cognition mechanism, a comprehensive method for RMTT is proposed. In the method, the model transition probability in Interacting Multiple Model(IMM) and the validation gate can be adjusted dynamically with target maneuver;the waveform in radar transmitter can vary with the perception of the environment. | 7 | Assessment of hepatic VX2 tumors of rabbits with second harmonic imaging under high and low acoustic pressures显示文摘AIM: To investigate the possible clinical application value of second harmonic imaging under low acoustic pressure.METHODS: Six New Zealand rabbits, averaging 2.7±0.4kg, were selected and operated upon to construct hepatic VX2 tumor carrier model. Hepatic VX2 tumors were imaged with B mode Ultrasonography (US), and second harmonic imaging (SHI) under high mechanic index (1.6) and low mechanic index (0.1). Echo agent was intravenously injected through ear vein at a dose of 0.01 mL/kg under B mode US and high MI SHI, and 0.05 mL/kg under low MI SHI, and then the venous channel was cleaned with sterilized saline.All the images were recorded by magnetic optics (MO),and they were analyzed further by at least two independent experienced sonographers.RESULTS: Totally 6 hypoechoic and 3 hyperechoic lesions were found in the six carrier rabbits with a mean size about 2.1±0.4 under B mode ultrasound, they were oval or round in shape with a clear outline or a hypoechoic halo at the margin of the lesions. Contrast agent could not change the echogenicity of the lesions under B mode US and SHI under high acoustic pressure. | 9 | Effect of organic carbon on nitrification effciency and community composition of nitrifying biofilms显示文摘The effects of organic carbon/inorganic nitrogen(C/N) ratio on the nitrification processes and the community shifts of nitrifying biofilms were investigated by kinetic comparison and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE) analysis.The results showed that the nitrification rate decreased with an increasing organic concentration.However,the effect became weak when the carbon concentration reached a suffciently high level.Denitrification was detected after organic carbon was added.The 12 h ammonium removal rate ranged from 85% to 30% at C/N = 0.5,1,2,4,8,and 16,as compared to the control(C/N = 0).The loss of nitrogen after 24 h at C/N = 0.5,1,2,4,8,and 16 was 31%,18%,24%,65%,59%,and 62%,respectively.The sequence analysis of 16S rRNA gene fragments revealed that the dominant populations changed from nitrifying bacteria(Nitrosomonas europaea and Nitrobacter sp.) to denitrifying bacteria(Pseudomonas sp.,Acidovorax sp.and Comamonas sp.) with an increasing C/N ratio.Although at high C/N ratio the denitrifying bacteria were the dominant populations,nitrifying bacteria grew simultaneously.Consequently,nitrification process coexisted with denitrification. | HU Jie LI Daping LIU Qiang TAO Yong HE Xiaohong WANG Xiaomei LI Xudong GAO Ping | 2009 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,3: | 3 |

| 11 | Experimental Study on Structural Optimization of a Supercritical Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler with an Annular Furnace and Six Cyclones显示文摘Annular furnace CFBs with six cyclones represent new designs for large capacity CFB boilers over 660 MW. To investigate the gas-solid flow non-uniformity and its main influencing factors, an experimental study was carried out in the cold-test rig of an annular furnace CFB with six cyclones. The influence of furnace structure and cyclone arrangement on the non-uniformity of gas-solid flow was obtained. On the basis of these findings, the structure of the annular furnace CFB with six cyclones was optimized, and an optimal structure was obtained. The results show that for newly designed annular furnace CFBs, the non-uniformity of gas-solid flow among loops is no greater than that of traditional CFBs. In terms of uniformity, side cyclones rotating inward are superior to those rotating outward. The position of the side cyclones determines the basic solid circulating rate distribution trend and can dramatically improve flow non-uniformity. The middle cyclone positions and the symmetric modes of the cyclones do not determine the solid circulating rate distribution trend and have less effect on DEVGs. Forty-five degree chamfers of outer ring walls can reduce wall erosion and the non-uniformity of gas-solid flow in the circulating fluidized bed. Regarding the operating and structural conditions in this work, the optimal structure of annular furnace CFBs is Type 6: side cyclones rotating inward and b = a/2, d = 0.1c; the center of the middle cyclone inlet located at the centerline of the furnace cross-section; cyclones on the two sides of the furnace in an axisymmetric arrangement; and a furnace corner shape of 45° chamfers. | 13 | Ultra-small platinum nanoparticles segregated by nickle sites for efficient ORR and HER processes显示文摘In the electrochemical process,Pt nanoparticles(NPs)in Pt-based catalysts usually agglomerate due to Oswald ripening or lack of restraint,ultimately resulting in reduction of the active sites and catalytic efficiency.How to uniformly disperse and firmly fix Pt NPs on carbon matrix with suitable particle size for catalysis is still a big challenge.Herein,to prevent the agglomeration and shedding of Pt NPs,Ni species is introduced and are evenly dispersed in the surface of carbon matrix in the form of Ni-N-C active sites(Ni ZIF-NC).The Ni sites can be used to anchor Pt NPs,and then effectively limit the further growth and agglomeration of Pt NPs during the reaction process.Compared with commercial Pt/C catalyst,Pt@Ni ZIF-NC,with ultralow Pt loading(7 wt%)and ideal particle size(2.3 nm),not only increases the active center,but also promotes the catalysis kinetics,greatly improving the ORR and HER catalytic activity.Under acidic conditions,its half-wave potential(0.902 V)is superior to commercial Pt/C(0.861 V),and the mass activity(0.38 A per mg Pt)at 0.9 V is 4.7 times that of Pt/C(0.08 A per mg Pt).Besides,it also shows outstanding HER performance.At 20 and 30 mV,its mass activity is even 2 and 6 times that of Pt/C,respectively.Whether it is under ORR or HER conditions,it still shows excellent durability.These undoubtedly indicate the realization of dual-functional catalysts with low-Pt and high-efficiency properties. | Lvhan Liang Huihui jin Huang Zhou Bingshuai Liu Chenxi Hu Ding Chen Jiawei Zhu Zhe Wang Hai-Wen Li Suli Liu Daping He Shichun Mu | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2: | 2 |
