| 3 | Immobilization of pyrene on quartz plate surface via a flexible long spacer and its sensing properties to dicarboxylic acids显示文摘A novel photo-induced luminescence film has been prepared by immobilizing pyrene on quartz plate surface via a flexible long spacer, 1,3-diaminopropane and 3-glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane. The film shows combined monomer and excimer emission of pyrene in both wet and dry states. Steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence emission meas-urements demonstrated that the excimer emission mainly came from direct excitation of ground state dimers, and/or monomers in aggregated state. Classical Birks?scheme plays little role in the formation of the excimers. The structures of the excimers formed during the excitation are complex. Both standard excimer of sandwich-like fully overlapped structure and distorted ex-cimer of partially overlapped structure exist in the excited state of the fluorophore. The emission of the film is sensitive to the presence of dicarboxylic acids, including ethanedioic acid, malonic acid, succinic acid, etc. The emission in the monomer and excimer region increases along with increasing the concentration of the dicarboxylic acids. The time needed for the emission to reach equilibrium depends on the nature of the acids. It has been shown that the longer the chain length of the acids, the more the time needed. This observation is explained by considering the conformational reorganization of the immobilized pyrene due to insertion of the dicarboxylic acids into the space between neighboring spacers. Experimental results from similar studies using formic acid and acetic acid are in support of this explanation. | 8 | Aberrant expression of ether à go-go potassium channel in colorectal cancer patients and cell lines显示文摘AIM: To study the expression of ether à go-go (Eag1) potassium channel in colorectal cancer and the relation- ship between their expression and clinico-pathological features. METHODS: The expression levels of Eag1 protein were determined in 76 cancer tissues with paired non- cancerous matched tissues as well as 9 colorectal adenoma tissues by immunohistochemistry. Eag1 mRNA expression was detected in 13 colorectal cancer tissues with paired non-cancerous matched tissues and 4 colorectal adenoma tissues as well as two colorectal cancer cell lines (LoVo and HT-29) by reverse transcription PCR. RESULTS: The frequency of positive expression of Eag1 protein was 76.3% (58/76) and Eag1 mRNA was 76.9% (10/13) in colorectal cancer tissue. Expression level of Eag1 protein was dependent on the tumor size, lymphatic node metastasis, other organ metastases and Dukes’ stage (P < 0.05), while not dependent on age, sex, site and degree of differentiation. Eag1 protein and mRNA were negative in normal colorectal tissue, and absolutely negative in colorectal adenomas except that one case was positively stained for Eag1 protein. CONCLUSION: Eag1 protein and mRNA are aberrantly expressed in colorectal cancer and occasionally expressed in colorectal adenoma. | 9 | Effect of Tongxieyaofang decoction on colonic mucosal protein expression profiles in rats with visceral hypersensitivity显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To explore the underlying mechanism of action of Tongxieyaofang decoction in rats with visceral hypersensitivity using proteomics technology.METHODS: Twenty-four female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups: control group, irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) group and Tongxieyaofang treatment group. An IBS model, characterized as visceral hypersensitivity, was established using the odour of mothballs as conditional stimulation and colorectal distension combined with classic physical restraint as non-conditional stimulation. Rats were intragastrically treated with Tongxieyaofang(2 or 4 m L · kg^(-1)· d^(-1))for 4 weeks. On the 45 th day, the rats were dissected and the colonic mucosal proteins were extracted. Differential protein spots were screened by fluorescent two-dimensional differential gel electrophoresis(2 D-DIGE), and identified by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation time of flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF-MS). Western blotting experiments were performed to verify the changes observed in 2 D-DIGE and MALDI-TOF-MS.RESULTS: It was found that the visceral sensitivity of rats in the Tongxieyaofang treatment group(4 m L/kg) was lower than that in the IBS group(P <0.01). Sixty-one protein spots were differentially expressed between the IBS group and the Tongxieyaofang treatment group. Of these, 23 spots were upregulated in the Tongxieyaofang treatment group, while 38 spots were downregulated. Three specific proteins were successfully identified from the five protein spots with the most obvious changes. | 10 | A Novel Fully Homomorphic Encryption Scheme Bsed on LWE显示文摘Although the learning with errors(LWE)-based full homomorphic encryption scheme was the first example of deviation from the original Gentry's blueprint, the scheme did not give detailed conversion process of circuit layer structure, and must rely on bootstrapping technique to achieve full homomorphism.Therefore, through modifying the re-linearization technique proposed by the above scheme, a technique called non-matrix key switching is presented, which includes key switching with re-linearization and pure key switching. The complex matrix operations of existing key switching technique are removed. Combining this technique with modulus switching, a(leveled) fully homomorphic encryption scheme without bootstrapping from LWE is constructed. In order to make circuit layer structure clear, the scheme gives detailed refresh door operation. | 18 | Utilization of gold-bearing and iron-rich pyrite cinder via a chlorination–volatilization process显示文摘The chlorination-volatilization process has been adopted to make full use of gold-bearing and iron-rich pyrite cinder. However, problems of low recovery rate, pulverization of pellets, and ring formation have been encountered during the industrialization of this process. The effects of various parameters on the volatilization rates of valuable metals and on the compressive strength of roasted pellets were investigated in this paper. The parameters include the CaCl_2 dosage, heating temperature, and holding time. The results show that heating temperature is the most important parameter for the recovery of target metals. More CaCl_2 was needed for the recovery of zinc than for the recovery of gold, silver, and lead. CaCl_2 started to react with sulfides/SO_2/SiO_2 at temperatures below the melting point of CaCl_2 to generate Cl_2/HCl. Gaseous CaCl_2 was formed at higher temperatures and could react with any of the components. The compressive strength of roasted CaCl_2-bearing pellets first decreased slowly with increasing temperature at temperatures lower than 873 K, which could result in the pulverization of pellets during heating. Their compressive strength increased dramatically with increasing temperature at temperatures greater than 1273 K. | 19 | Two regimes of Atlantic multidecadal oscillation: cross-basin dependent or Atlantic-intrinsic显示文摘The Atlantic Multidedal Oscillation(AMO) is a prominent mode of sea surface temperature variability in the Atlantic and incurs significant global influence. Most coupled models failed to reproduce the observed 50–80-year AMO, but were overwhelmed by a 10–30-year AMO. Here we show that the 50–80-year AMO and 10–30-year AMO represent two different AMO regimes. The key differences are:(1) the 50–80-year AMO involves transport of warm and saline Atlantic water into the Greenland-Iceland-Norwegian(GIN)Seas prior to reaching its maximum positive phase, while such a transport is weak for the 10–30-year AMO;(2) the zonality of atmospheric variability associated with the 50–80 year AMO favors the transport of warm and saline water into the GIN Seas;(3) the disappearance of Pacific variability weakens the zonality of atmospheric variability and the transport of warm and saline water into the GIN Seas, leading to the weakening of the 50–80-year AMO. In contrast, the 10–30-year AMO does not show dependence on the variability in Pacific and in the GIN Seas and may be an Atlantic-intrinsic mode.
