| 1 | High-Resolution Genome-wide Association Study Identifies Genomic Regions and Candidate Genes for Important Agronomic Traits in Wheat显示文摘Wheat(Triticum aestivum)is a major staple food crop worldwide.Genetic dissection of important agronomic traits is essential for continuous improvement of wheat yield to meet the demand of the world's growing population.We conducted a large-scale genome-wide association study(GWAS)using a panel of 768 wheat cultivars that were genotyped with 327609 single-nucleotide polymorphisms generated by genotyping-by-sequencing and detected 395 quantitative trait loci(QTLs)for 12 traits under 7 environments.Among them,273 QTLs were delimited to≤1.0-Mb intervals and 7 of them are either known genes(Rht-D,Vrn-B1,and Vrn-D1)that have been cloned or known QTLs(TaGA2ox8,APO1,TaSus1-7B,and Rht12)that were previously mapped.Eight putative candidate genes were identified for three QTLs that enhance spike seed setting and grain size using gene expression data and were validated in three bi-parental populations.Protein sequence analysis identified 33 putative wheat orthologs that have high identity with rice genes in QTLs affecting similar traits.Large r^2 values for additive effects observed among the QTLs for most traits indicated that the phenotypes of these identified QTLs were highly predictable.Results from this study demonstrated that significantly increasing GWAS population size and marker density greatly improves detection and identification of candidate genes underlying a QTL,solidifying the foundation for large-scale QTL fine mapping,candidate gene validation,and developing functional markers for genomics-based breeding in wheat. | Yunlong Pang Chunxia Liu Danfeng Wang Paul St.Amand Amy Bernardo Wenhui Li Fang He Linzhi Li Liming Wang Xiufang Yuan Lei Dong Yu Su Huirui Zhang Meng Zhao Yunlong Liangi Hongze Jia Xitong Shen Yue Lu Hongming Jiang Yuye Wu Anfei Li Honggang Wang Lingrang Kong Guihua Bai Shubing Liu | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,9: | 8 |

| 6 | Hydrothermal synthesis and characterization of rare-earth ruthenate pyrochlore compounds R_2Ru_2O_7(R=Pr_(3+),Sm(3+)-Ho(3+))显示文摘A series of pyrochlore oxides, R2Ru2O7 (R=Pr3+, Sm3+–Ho3+) were synthesized under mild hydrothermal conditions. All the samples crystallize in uniform octahedron characteristically. The products were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy-disperse X-ray spectroscopy, and dc susceptibility, and the factors that affected the crystallization were discussed. It was found that the purity of products depends strongly on the raw materials and the amount of alkalinity in the initial reaction mixtures. | 8 | Corrosion formation and phase transformation of nickel-iron hydroxide nanosheets array for efficient water oxidation显示文摘Designing earth-abundant electrocatalysts with high performance towards water oxidation is highly decisive for the sustainable energy technologies. This study develops a facile natural corrosion approach to fabricate nickel-iron hydroxides for water oxidation. The resulted electrode demonstrates an outstanding activity and stability with an overpotential of 275 mV to deliver 10 mA·cm^(−2). Experimental and theoretical results suggest the corrosion-induced formation of hydroxides and their transformation to oxyhydroxides would account for this excellent performance. | 10 | Nutritional evaluation of whole soybean curd made from different soybean materials based on amino acid profiles显示文摘Objectives:Amino acid profiles of whole soybean curds(WSCs)and conventional soybean curds(CSCs)were comparatively studied to 1.,evaluate their nutritional value and 2.,study the suitable soybean material to fabricate WSCs.Materials and Methods:Nine types of soybean materials were selected to make WSCs and CSCs.Protein digestibility-corrected amino acid score(PDCAAS)and principal component analysis were selected to perform the comparative analysis of amino acid profiles of the products.Results:Total contents of amino acids in WSCs and CSCs were 41.24-54.87 mg/g and 27.77-36.82 mg/g.Content ranges of essential amino acids were 13.59-19.38 mg/g and 8.46-11.76 mg/g for WSCs and CSCs.The essential amino acid pattern of WSCs was basically close to amino acid pattern spectrum requirements except valine and sulfur amino acids.As a limiting amino acid,methionine represented less than 0.4 for PDCAAS in all soybean curds except WSCs made from relay-cropping Nandou12 and Nandou25.Conclusions:The overall quality of amino acids in WSCs was higher than that in CSCs,indicating that WSCs indeed exhibited higher nutritional value than CSCs from the viewpoint of amino acid profile.WSCs with the high nutritional value could be made using Nandou25 and relay-cropping Nandou12 as materials. | Meili Li Hongming Dong Dingtao Wu Hong Chen Wen Qin Weiguo Liu Wenyu Yang Qing Zhang | 2020 | Food Quality and Safety2020,4,1: | 2 |
| 11 | Current Density Distribution in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding Process显示文摘Heat transfer and fluid flow in a weld pool had been simulated for several decades, which underwent from theoretically analysis to numerical solutions. Because of the complexity of the welding process, many ideal assumptions were made to simplify the question. This makes the solution somewhat not complied with the practical conditions. In previous papers, the current distribution in the weld pool is assumed as axi-symmetrical, and so does the electromagnetic forces, which plays an important role in determining the fluid flow field. Actually the current distribution is different from the assumption. In this paper; a three dimensional current distribution in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) process is performed. | 13 | Therapeutic silencing miR-146b-5p improves cardiac remodeling in a porcine model of myocardial infarction by modulating the wound reparative phenotype显示文摘Fibrotic remodeling is an adverse consequence of immune response-driven phenotypic modulation of cardiac cells following myocardial infarction(Ml).MicroRNA-146b(miR-146b)is an active regulator of immunomodulation,but its function in the cardiac inflammatory cascade and its clinical implication in fibrotic remodeling following Ml remain largely unknown.Herein,miR-146b-5p was found to be upregulated in the infarcted myocardium of mice and the serum of myocardial ischemia patients.Gain-and loss-of-function experiments demonstrated that miR-146b-5p was a hypoxia-induced regulator that governed the pro-fibrotic phenotype transition of cardiac cells.Overexpression of miR-146b-5p activated fibroblast proliferation,migration,and fibroblast-to-myofibroblast transition,impaired endothelial cell function and stress survival,and disturbed macrophage paracrine signaling.Interestingly,the opposite effects were observed when miR-146b-5p expression was inhibited.Luciferase assays and rescue studies demonstrated that the miR-146b-5p target genes mediating the above phenotypic modulations included interleukin 1 receptor associated kinase 1(IRAKI)and carcinoembryonic antigen related cell adhesion molecule 1(CEACAM1).Local delivery of a miR-146b-5p antagomir significantly reduced fibrosis and cell death,and upregulated capillary and reparative macrophages in the infarcted myocardium to restore cardiac remodeling and function in both mouse and porcine Ml models.Local inhibition of miR-146b-5p may represent a novel therapeutic approach to treat cardiac fibrotic remodeling and dysfunction following Ml. | Yiteng Liao Hao Li Hao Cao Yun Dong Lei Gao Zhongmin Liu Junbo Ge Hongming Zhu | 2021 | Protein & Cell2021,12,3: | 1 |

| 20 | Rapid identification of diarrheagenic Escherichia coli based on barcoded magnetic bead hybridization显示文摘Diarrhea,as a global public health problem,causes a large number of infections and deaths every year.Although Escherichia coli(E.coli)is one of the normal flo ra microorganisms in the human intestinal tract,it has five pathogenic bacteria types that can cause human diarrhea,known as diarrheagenic E.coli.When people are infected,rapid and accurate diagnosis,along with timely treatment,are especially important.Here,we introduce a new method to identify and analyze a large number of pathogenic strains in E.coli by multiplex PCR and barcoded magnetic bead hybridization.Results show that the detection sensitivities of enterohemorrhagic E.coli,enterotoxigenic E.coli,enteropathogenic E.coli,enteroinvasive E.coli and enteroaggregative E.coli were 1.3×10^3 CFU/mL,2×10^4 CFU/mL,4×10^4 CFU/mL,7.2×10^4 CFU/mL and 1.7 CFU/mL respectively.This method has strong specificity and high sensitivity and detects multiple target sequences in one experiment.Compared with other methods,BMB array has great application potential. | Hongming Dong Congli Tang Ziyu He Hongmei Liu Yuyue Xu Hao Huang Gaojian Yang Ziqi Xiao Song Li Yan Deng Zhu Chen Hui Chen Zuodong Qin Yasser Perera Negrin Nongyue He | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,7: | 0 |
