| 1 | Simulating the exchanges of carbon dioxide, water vapor and heat over Changbai Mountains temperate broad- leaved Korean pine mixed forest ecosystem显示文摘A process-based ecosystem productivity model BEPS (Boreal Ecosystem Productivity Simulator) was updated to simulate half-hourly exchanges of carbon, water and energy between the atmosphere and terrestrial ecosystem at a temperate broad-leaved Korean pine forest in the Changbai Mountains, China. The BEPSh model is able to capture the diurnal and seasonal variability in carbon dioxide, water vapor and heat fluxes at this site in the growing season of 2003. The model validation showed that the simulated net ecosystem productivity (NEP), latent heat flux (LE), sensible heat flux (Hs) are in good agreement with eddy covariance measurements with an R2 value of 0.68, 0.86 and 0.72 for NEP, LE and Hs, respectively. The simulated annual NEP of this forest in 2003 was 300.5 gC/m2, and was very close to the observed value. Driving this model with different climate scenarios, we found that the NEP in the Changbai Mountains temperate broad-leaved Korean pine mixed forest ecosystem was sensitive to climate variability, and the current carbon sink will be weakened under the condition of global warming. | 2 | A novel STING agonist-adjuvanted pan-sarbecovirus vaccine elicits potent and durable neutralizing antibody and T cell responses in mice,rabbits and NHPs显示文摘The emergence of SARS-CoV-2 variants and potentially other highly pathogenic sarbecoviruses in the future highlights the need for pan-sarbecovirus vaccines.Here,we discovered a new STING agonist,CF501,and found that CF501-adjuvanted RBD-FC vaccine(CF501/RBD-FC)elicited significantly stronger neutralizing antibody(nAb)and T cell responses than Alum-and cGAMP-adjuvanted RBD-FC in mice.Vaccination of rabbits and rhesus macaques(nonhuman primates,NHPs)with CF501/RBD-FC elicited exceptionally potent nAb responses against SARS-CoV-2 and its nine variants and 41 S-mutants,SARS-CoV and bat SARSr-CoVs.CF501/RBD-FC-immunized hACE2-transgenic mice were almost completely protected against SARS-CoV-2 challenge,even 6 months after the initial immunization.NHPs immunized with a single dose of CF501/RBD-FC produced high titers of nAbs.The immunized macaques also exhibited durable humoral and cellular immune responses and showed remarkably reduced viral load in the upper and lower airways upon SARS-CoV-2 challenge even at 108 days post the final immunization.Thus,CF501/RBD-Fc can be further developed as a novel pan-sarbecovirus vaccine to combat current and future outbreaks of sarbecovirus diseases. | Zezhong Liu Jie Zhou Wei Xu Wei Deng Yanqun Wang Meiyu Wang Qian Wang Ming Hsieh Jingming Dong Xinling Wang Weijin Huang Lixiao Xing Miaoling He Chunlin Tao Youhua Xie Yilong Zhang Youchun Wang Jincun Zhao Zhenghong Yuan Chuan Qin Shibo Jiang Lu Lu | 2022 | Cell Research2022,32,3: | 5 |

| 9 | Photoluminescene study acceptor defects in lightly doped n type GaSb single crystals显示文摘Lightly Te-doped GaSb samples grown by the liquid encapsulated Czochralski(LEC) method have been studied by Hall measurements and low-temperature PL spectroscopy. The results suggest that acceptor-related antisite is the dominant defect in n-type GaSb with low Te-doping concentration. As the Te concentration increases, gallium vacancy related defects become the main acceptor. A new band of around 665 meV is observed in the GaSb sample with the lowest Te-doping concentration. | 11 | Spatiotemporal variations in the growth status of declining wild apple trees in a narrow valley in the western Tianshan Mountains, China显示文摘Malus sieversii(wild apple tree),only distributed in the Tianshan Mountains in Central Asia,is a tertiary relic species and an ancestral species of cultivated apples.However,existing natural populations of wild apple trees have been declining.To date,spatiotemporal variations in the growth status of declining wild apple trees and influencing factors in the narrow valley areas in the Tianshan Mountains remain unclear.In this study,field investigation and sampling were carried out in three years(2016-2018)at four elevations(1300,1400,1500,and 1600 m)in the Qiaolakesai Valley(a typical longitudinal narrow valley in the Yili River Valley)of the western Tianshan Mountains in Xinyuan County,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,China.Projective coverage,dead branch percentage,and 18 twig traits(these 20 parameters were collectively referred to as plant traits)were determined to comprehensively reflect the growth status of declining wild apple trees.The values of dead branch percentage ranged from 36%to 59%,with a mean of 40%.Year generally showed higher impact on plant traits than elevation.In 2017 and 2018,projective coverage,leaf size,leaf nitrogen concentration,and nitrogen to phosphorous ratio were markedly higher than those in 2016.However,dead branch percentage and leaf and stem phosphorous concentrations showed the opposite trend.Most of the topological parameters of plant trait networks differed in the three years,but the strength of trait-trait association increased year by year.The mean difference between day and night temperatures(MDT),annual accumulative precipitation,soil electrical conductivity,and soil pH had the greatest impact on the plant trait matrix.The growth status of declining wild apple trees was directly and positively affected by MDT and leaf size.In conclusion,the growth of declining wild apple trees distributed in the narrow valley areas was more sensitive to interannual environmental changes than elevation changes.The results are of great significance for further revealing the decline mechanism of wild apple trees in the Tianshan Mountains. | QIU Dong TAO Ye ZHOU Xiaobing Bagila MAISUPOVA YAN Jingming LIU Huiliang LI Wenjun ZHUANG Weiwei ZHANG Yuanming | 2022 | Journal of Arid Land2022,14,12: | 0 |
| 12 | Performance improvement of c-Si solar cell by a combination of SiNx/SiOx passivation and double P-diffusion gettering treatment显示文摘SiN_x/SiO_x passivation and double side P-diffusion gettering treatment have been used for the fabrication of c-Si solar cells. The solar cells fabricated have high open circuit voltage and short circuit current after the double P-diffusion treatment.
