| 1 | Primary report of noninvasive impedance monitoring of cerebral hematoma and edema in patients with intracerebral hemorrhage显示文摘Background and Objective Brain edema is one of the most important clinical process in many diseases. Tissue impedance monitoring offers a non-invasive, bedside, rapid, and reliable technique for the monitoring of the brain edema. Methods We use a bioelectrical impedance(BEI) monitoring unit to record the brain impedance in the healthy volunteer and the patients with intracerebral hemorrhage. Percent of BEI variations were calculation. Results and Conclusions Brain BEI haven f any difference between both hemispheres in normal ones. In 48hrs, BEI value at hematoma-side was obviously decreased; after 48hrs, BEI value was obviously increased and continue to tenth day. Brain bioelectrical impedance monitoring, particularly noninvasively, is a first time in this field. | 9 | Ectoparasite communities on Tupaia belangeri (Scandentia:Tupaiidae) in surrounding areas of Erhai Lake in Yunnan,China显示文摘Objective:To investigate the ectoparasite communities on Tupaia belangeri (T. belangeri) in the surrounding areas of Erhai Lake and their potential importance in medical and veterinary science. Methods: Different locations in surrounding areas of Erhai Lake in Yunnan were selected as the investigation spots. T. belangeri were randomly captured with baited mouse cages and then brought to the laboratory for identification according to their body shape, size and color, and measurements such as the lengths of their body, ear and hind feet. Ectoparasites on them were collected and identified to determine the species under microscope after specimens were mounted on slides, with the clearing and drying process completed. The constituent ratio (C), prevalence (P) and average ectoparasite abundance (A) were used to test the prevalence and density of ectoparasites; Non-parametric Mann-Whitney U-tests were used to test the differences in the abundance and richness of ectoparasites between female and male hosts; Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the relationship between ectoparasites and the body parameters of hosts. Results: There was very high species diversity of ectoparasites found on T. belangeri and some species of ectoparasites were reported associated with human diseases. A high proportion (88%) of 107 T. belangeri was found to be infested with ectoparasites. A total of 75 species of ectoparasites on them were collected, including 58 species of chigger mite, 12 species of gamasid mite, 4 species of flea and 1 species of sucking louse. Within this ectoparasite complex, 13 species were previously reported to be vectors of human disease agents. Non-parametric Mann-Whitney U-tests showed significant differences between male and female T. belangeri in terms of the abundance and richness of total ectoparasites. However, the species richness and abundance of chigger mites, sucking lice, fleas or gamasid mites presented no significant differences between male and female hosts. Spearman correlation analysis showed that none of correlations were observed between host body parameters with abundance and richness of total ectoparasites, chigger mites, suckinglice, fleas or gamatid mites. | 15 | Sustainability of SARS-CoV-2 Induced Humoral Immune Responses in COVID-19 Patients from Hospitalization to Convalescence Over Six Months显示文摘Understanding the persistence of antibody in convalescent COVID-19 patients may help to answer the current major concerns such as the risk of reinfection,the protection period of vaccination and the possibility of building an active herd immunity.This retrospective cohort study included 172 COVID-19 patients who were hospitalized in Wuhan.A total of404 serum samples were obtained over six months from hospitalization to convalescence.Antibodies in the specimens were quantitatively analyzed by the capture chemiluminescence immunoassays(CLIA).All patients were positive for the anti-SARS-Co V-2 Ig M/Ig G at the onset of COVID-19 symptoms,and the Ig G antibody persisted in all the patients during the convalescence.However,only approximately 25%of patients can detect the Ig M antibodies,Ig M against N protein(NIg M)and receptor binding domain of S protein(RBD-Ig M)at the 27 th week.The titers of Ig M,N-Ig M and RBD-Ig M reduced to 16.7%,17.6%and 15.2%of their peak values respectively.In contrast,the titers of Ig G,N-Ig G and RBD-Ig G peaked at 4–5 th week and reduced to 85.9%,62.6%and 87.2%of their peak values respectively at the end of observation.Dynamic behavior of antibodies and their correlation in age,gender and severity groups were investigated.In general,the COVID-19 antibody was sustained at high levels for over six months in most of the convalescent patients.Only a few patients with antibody reducing to an undetectable level which needs further attention.The humoral immune response against SARS-Co V-2 infection in COVID-19 patients exhibits a typical dynamic of acquired immunity. | Yang Zheng Qing Zhang Ashaq Ali Ke Li Nan Shao Xiaoli Zhou Zhiqin Ye Xiaomin Chen Shanshan Cao Jing Cui Juan Zhou Dianbing Wang Baidong Hou Min Li Mengmeng Cui Lihua Deng Xinyi Sun Qian Zhang Qinfang Yang Yong li Hui Wang Yake Lei Bo Yu Yegang Cheng Xiaolin Tong Dong Men Xian-En Zhang | 2021 | Virologica Sinica2021,36,5: | 1 |

| 19 | The SACT Template:A Human Brain Diffusion Tensor Template for School-age Children显示文摘School-age children are in a specific development stage corresponding to juvenility,when the white matter of the brain experiences ongoing maturation.Dffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging(DWI),especially diffusion tensor imaging(DTI),is extensively used to characterize the maturation by assessing white matter properties in vivo.In the analysis of DWI data,spatial normalization is crucial for conducting inter-subject analyses or linking the individual space with the reference space.Using tensor-based registration with an appropriate diffusion tensor template presents high accuracy regarding spatial normalization.However,there is a lack of a standardized diffusion tensor template dedicated to school-age children with ongoing brain development.Here,we established the school-age children diffusion tensor(SACT)template by optimizing tensor reorientation on high-quality DTI data from a large sample of cognitively normal participants aged 6-12 years.With an age-balanced design,the SACT template represented the entire age range well by showing high similarity to the age-specific templates.Compared with the tensor template of adults,the SACT template revealed significantly higher spatial normalization accuracy and inter-subject coherence upon evaluation of subjects in two different datasets of schoolage children.A practical application regarding the age associations with the normalized DTI-derived data was conducted to further compare the SACT template and the adult template.Although similar spatial patterns were found,the SACT template showed significant effects on the distributions of the statistical results,which may be related to the performance of spatial normalization.Looking forward,the SACT template could contribute to future studies of white matter development in both healthy and clinical populations.The SACT template is publicly available now(tp://igshare com/aricles/dataseu'SACT_.template/14071283). | Congying Chu Haoran Guan Sangma Xie Yanpei Wang Jie Luo Gai Zhao Zhiying Pan Mingming Hu Weiwei Men Shuping Tan Jia-Hong Gao Shaozheng Qin Yong He Lingzhong Fan Qi Dong Sha Tao | 2022 | Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,6: | 1 |
| 20 | Landscape genetic analyses reveal host association of mitochondrial haplotypes in the Asian corn borer,Ostrinia furnacalis显示文摘Crop expansion often leads to high pest pressure.These pests may have fitness trade-offs related to host use,and some host-associated genotypes may benefit and increase in frequency.However,evidence concerning the effect of host availability on spatial distribution and frequency of mitochondrial haplotypes is scarce.We studied genetic variation of the Asian corn borer,Ostrinia furnacalis(Guenée),across a large area during 2 years(2016 and 2017).Mitochondrial sequence data were obtained from 530 individuals collected from 79 locations in Shandong Province,China.In total,155 haplotypes were found based on the combined cytochrome oxidase subunit 1(COI)and COII genes.Three haplotypes(H2,H12,and H23)were dominant,whereas most of the other haplotypes occurred in low frequency.A haplotype network showed that the 155 haplotypes can be grouped into three clusters.Haplotype clusters seemed to be randomly distributed.The frequency of H12(in Cluster 1)was positively correlated with maize crop proportion,but negatively correlated with other crops(primarily vegetables,oilseed crops,and cotton)at all spatial scales(1-,3-,and 5-km radius).Cluster 2 had haplotype H23,and this cluster was negatively correlated with semi-natural habitats.Cluster 3 had no dominant haplotype and was not affected by landscape factors.We conclude that H12 may be a maize-associated haplotype.Further study is needed to verify the possibility that the carriers of this haplotype may possess some fitness trade-offs.Our study highlights the importance of host availability in O.furnacalis haplotype distribution and frequency. | Zhaoke Dong Chao Li Qingqing Zhang Lili Li Zengbin Lu Fang Ouyang Yingying Song Yi Yu Xingyuan Men | 2021 | Insect Science2021,28,4: | 1 |
