| 2 | Efficacy of Shoushen granule on adenosine triphosphate binding cassette transporter A1, proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 and toll-like receptor 4/nuclear factor kappa-B signaling pathway in ApoE-knockout mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the efficacy of Shoushen granule, prepared with four Chinese medicinals, on the targeted regulation of adenosine triphosphate binding cassette transporter A1(ABCA1) through proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9(PCSK9) and toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB) signaling pathway to affect atherosclerosis(AS) in ApoE-knockout(ApoE-/-) mice.METHODS: ApoE-/-mice fed with a high-fat diet were used for AS modeling and divided into Model,Shoushen, and Atorvastatin groups. C57 BL/6 J mice at the same age and background strain were included in the Control group. Western blot and immunohistochemistry were used to measure ABCA1, PCSK9, TLR4, and NF-κB protein expression in mouse aortas. Enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay was used to measure mouse serum tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), interleukin-10(IL-10), monocyte chemoattractant protein 1(MCP-1), and intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1) expression. Serum lipid profiles and histopathology were also assessed. Shoushen granule were composed of Heshouwu(Radix Polygoni Multiflori) 15 g, Gouqizi(Fructus Lycii) 15 g, Sheng shanzha(Raw Fructus Crataegus Pinnatifidae) 10 g, and Sanqi(Radix Notoginseng) 3 g.RESULTS: ApoE-/-mice fed with a high-fat diet had notable AS lesions, with reduced ABCA1 and IL-10 levels, elevated PCSK9, TLR4, NF-κB, TNF-α, MCP-1,and ICAM-1 expression, and increased total cholesterol(TC) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) contents. With drug interventions, the areas of AS plaques were significantly reduced,the ABCA1 and IL-10 levels were increase, while the PCSK9, TLR4, NF-κB, TC, and LDL-C contents,and the TNF-α, MCP-1, and ICAM-1 expression were reduced.CONCLUSION: Shoushen granule effectively interfered with AS development by antagonizing the expression of key factors of the PCSK9 and TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway to upregulate ABCA1 expression. | Li Shanshan Cao Hui Shen Dingzhu Chen Chuan Xing Sanli Dou Fangfang Jia Qingling | 2019 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,4: | 4 |
| 3 | Bushen Jiangzhi formula reduces atherosclerosis in apoE-/-mice through autophagy显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of Bushen Jiangzhi formula(BSJZF)on atherosclerosis(AS)in apolipoprotein E knockout(apoE^-/-)mice and the underlying mechanism.METHODS:We used a high fat diet to induce AS in apoE^-/- mice.The mice were randomly divided into four groups:model,BSJZF,atorvastatin,and 3-methyladenine groups.Syngeneic C57BL/6 mice of the same age were used for the control group.Autophagosomes in the aorta were examined by transmission electron microscopy.Morphology,lipid accumulation,and collagen deposition in the aorta were examined by hematoxylin and eosin,Oil Red O,and Masson's staining,respectively.Serum levels of tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α),interferon gamma(IFN-γ),and interleukin 10(IL-10)were measured by enzyme-linked immunoassays.Protein expression of microtubule-associated protein light chain 3(LC3),Beclin 1,and p62 in the aorta were examined by Western blot analyses.RESULTS:ApoE^-/- mice fed a high fat diet exhibited AS symptoms including less autophagosomes in the aorta,higher serum levels of TNF-α,IFN-γ,and p62,and lower serum levels of IL-10,LC3,and Beclin 1.Treatment with BSJZF significantly reduced the area of the aortic plaque,decreased expression of TNF-α,IFN-γ,and p62,and increased expression of IL-10,LC3,and Beclin 1.CONCLUSION:Our findings suggest that BSJZF promotes autophagy and reduces inflammation by regulating the expression of autophagy-related proteins LC3,Beclin 1,and p62,thereby effectively treating AS. | Cao Hui Jia Qingling Shen Dingzhu Yan Li Chen Chuan Xing Sanli Dou Fangfang | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,4: | 3 |
| 4 | A family of oligo(p-phenylenevinylene)derivative aggregation-induced emission probes:Ultrasensitive,rapid,and anti-interfering fluorescent sensing of perchlorate via precise alkyl chain length modulation显示文摘The precise regulation of interactions provided by aggregation-induced emission(AIE)probes is of considerable significance for improving the sensing performance in the field of on-site detection.Here,a highly sensitive perchlorate detection probe was designed by precisely modulating the van der Waals interactions by adjusting the length of the alkyl chain.The optimized AIE probe demonstrated superior perchlorate detection performance owing to its strong van der Waals interactions with perchlorate,including a low detection limit(53.81 nM),rapid response(<5 s),and excellent specificity even in the presence of 16 interfering anions.In addition,a hydrogel-based device loaded with the probe was constructed to achieve ultrasensitive recognition of perchlorate particles with a detection limit as low as 15 fg under a fluorescence microscope.Moreover,the practicality of the probe was further verified by employing a sensing chip in a portable detector,and thus the probe has been proven to be highly promising for trace perchlorate monitoring in real scenarios.We expect the present study to be of great value for the efficient design of high-performance fluorescent probes. | Fangfang Xiao Yushu Li Jiguang Li Da Lei Guangfa Wang Tianshi Zhang Xiaoyun Hu Xincun Dou | 2023 | Aggregate2023,4,2: | 0 |
| 5 | Double interface regulation: Toward highly stable lithium metal anode with high utilization显示文摘The undesirable Li dendrite growth and other knock-on issues have signifi-cantly plagued the application of Li metal anodes(LMAs).Herein,we report that the synergistic regulation of double interfaces adjacent to the metallic Li anode can effectively prevent the dendritic Li growth,significantly improving the cycling performance of LMAs under harsh conditions including high cur-rent density and high depth of discharge.Thorough comparison of electrolytes demonstrated that 1 M lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide(LiFSI)in 1,2-dimethoxyethane(DME)can yield a robust and lithiophobic LiF-rich upper interface(solid electrolyte interphase).Besides,the Sb-based buffer layer forms a lithiophilic lower interface on current collector.The synergy of the upper and lower interfacial engineering plays an important role for outstanding cyclability of LMAs.Consequently,the plating/stripping of Li can be stably repeated for 835 and 329 cycles with an average Coulombic efficiency(CE)above 99%at 1 and 3 mA h cm?2,respectively.Surprisingly,the Li||Li symmetric cell can even withstand the baptism of current density up to 20 mA cm?2.The excellent performance validates that the facile synergistic regulating of interfaces adjacent to the metallic Li anode provides an effective pathway to stabilize LMAs. | Guanyao Wang Ming Zhu Ying Zhang Chan Song Xiaolong Zhu Zhongyi Huang Yuanjun Zhang Fangfang Yu Gang Xu Minghong Wu Hua-Kun Liu Shi-Xue Dou Chao Wu | 2022 | InfoMat2022,4,7: | 0 |

| 7 | Five-year warming does not change soil organic carbon stock but alters its chemical composition in an alpine peatland显示文摘Climate warming may promote soil organic carbon(SOC)decomposition and alter SOC stocks in terrestrial ecosystems,which would in turn affect climate warming.We manipulated a warming experiment using open-top chambers to investigate the effect of warming on SOC stock and chemical composition in an alpine peatland in Zoigêon the eastern Tibetan Plateau,China.Results showed that 5 years of warming soil temperatures enhanced ecosystem respiration during the growing season,promoted above-and belowground plant biomass,but did not alter the SOC stock.However,labile O-alkyl C and relatively recalcitrant aromatic C contents decreased,and alkyl C content increased.Warming also increased the amount of SOC stored in the silt-clay fraction(<0.053 mm),but this was offset by warming-induced decreases in the SOC stored within micro-and macroaggregates(0.053–0.25 and>0.25 mm,respectively).These changes in labile and recalcitrant C were largely associated with warming-induced increases in soil microbial biomass C,fungal diversity,enzyme activity,and functional gene abundance related to the decomposition of labile and recalcitrant C compounds.The warming-induced accumulation of SOC stored in the silt-clay fraction could increase SOC persistence in alpine peatland ecosystems.Our findings suggest that mechanisms mediated by soil microbes account for the changes in SOC chemical composition and SOC in different aggregate size fractions,which is of great significance when evaluating SOC stability under climate warming conditions. | Jingcong QIU Minghua SONG Chunmei WANG Xiaomin DOU Fangfang LIU Jiaxin WANG Chenying ZHU Shiqi WANG | 2023 | Pedosphere2023,33,5: | 0 |
| 8 | An in-situ generated Bi-based sodiophilic substrate with high structural stability for high-performance sodium metal batteries显示文摘Sodium(Na)metal anode exhibits a potential candidate in next-generation rechargeable batteries owing to its advantages of high earth abundance and low cost.Unfortunately,the practical development of sodium metal batteries is inherently plagued by challenges such as the side reactions and the growth of Na dendrites.Herein we report a highly stable Bi-based“sodiophilic”substrate to stabilize Na anode,which is created by in-situ electrochemical reactions of 3D hierarchical porous Bi_(2)MoO_(6)(BMO)microspheres.BMO is initially transformed into the Bi“nanoseeds”embedded in the Na-Mo-O matrix.Subsequently,the Bi nanoseeds working as preferential nucleation sites through the formation of BiNa alloy enable the non-dendritic Na deposition.The asymmetric cells based on such BMO-based substrate can deliver a long-term cycling for 600 cycles at a large capacity of 4 m Ah cm^(-2) and for 800 cycles at a high current density of 10 m A cm^(-2).Even at a high depth of discharge(66.67%),the Na-predeposited BMO(Na@BMO)electrodes can cycle for more than 1600 h.The limited Na@BMO anodes coupled with the Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) cathodes(N/P ratio of 3)in full cells also show excellent electrochemical performance with a capacity retention of about 97.4%after 1100 cycles at 2 C. | Lulu Li Ming Zhu Guanyao Wang Fangfang Yu Liaoyong Wen Hua-Kun Liu Shi-Xue Dou Chao Wu | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,8: | 0 |
