1N-doped carbon-stabilized PtCo nanoparticles derived from Pt@ZIF-67: Highly active and durable catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘The development of catalysts with high activity and durability for the cathodicoxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in both alkaline and acidic media is importantfor improving the performance of the proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuelcells. This can be achieved by dispersing Pt-based alloy nanoparticles insideN-doped porous carbon frameworks. However, it still requires the developmentof a facile method towards synthesizing this unique hybrid structure. In this work,we demonstrate that N-doped carbon-stabilized PtCo nanoparticles (PtCo@NC)can be facilely synthesized via thermal decomposition of Pt-incorporatedCo-based zeolitic imidazolate framework (Pt@ZIF-67). The thickness of the carbonframework can be optimized to enable excellent durability, in sharp contrastto a commercial Pt/C catalyst. The mass activities achieved by optimizing thethickness of the carbon framework are 0.80 and 0.82 A-mg^-1, at 0.9 V vs. RHE inalkaline and acidic electrolytes, respectively, which are nearly 8 times greaterthan those of the Pt/C. 3Etching approach to hybrid structures of PtPd nanocages and graphene for efficient oxygen reduction reaction catalysts显示文摘Cathodic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is a highly important electrochemical reaction in renewable-energy technologies. In general, the surface area, exposed facets and electrical conductivity of catalysts all play important roles in determining their electrocatalytic activities, while their performance durability can be improved by integration with supporting materials. In this work we have developed a method to synthesize hybrid structures between PtPd bimetallic nanocages and graphene by employing selective epitaxial growth of single-crystal Pt shells on Pd nanocubes supported on reduced graphene oxide (rGO), followed by Pd etching. The hollow nature, {100} surface facets and bimetallic composition of PtPd nanocages, together with the good conductivity and stability of graphene, enable high electrocatalytic performance in ORR. 5Therapeutic effect of ketogenic diet treatment on type 2 diabetes显示文摘Diet plays an important role in diabetes development.The effect of ketogenic diet on type 2 diabetes remains elusive.In this study,we collect diabetes related physiological parameters and abdominal MRI images to evaluate the effect of ketogenic diet after 3-months of consecutive treatment.Ketogenic diet mitigates the diabetes symptom inferring from the statistically significant reduction of key diabetic physiological parameters such as Hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c)concentration,Triglyceride(TG),Fasting blood glucose(FBG),Body Mass Index(BMI),and adipose tissue volume.Moreover,we propose a new parameter to quantify the treating effect of ketogenic diet since Slope and Offset of Oral Glucose Tolerance Test(SOOGTT)incorporate more sampling points by fitting OGTT(Oral Glucose Tolerance Test)curve.SOOGTT shows statistically significant(P<0.001)treating effect of ketogenic diet on type 2 diabetes.We use artificial intelligence to segment adipose tissue for treatment evaluation,which shows that ketogenic diet reduces the amount of adipose tissue.Fang Li Yang Shen Qun Chen Xingyu Li Hongnan Yang Canyang Zhang Jinjun Lin Zhicheng Du Chenyao Jiang Chengming Yang Dongmei Yu Peiwu Qin 2022Journal of Future Foods2022,2,2:0

8Degree of Humification in Fresh Litter from a Subtropical Mixed Plantation Forest in Southwest China显示文摘The humification degree of fresh litter directly controls the accumulation of soil humus derived from plant litter,but very little information on this process is available.Planted forests are well known to restrict soil fertility,which is often indicated by the soil humus level.In this study,fresh litter was collected during different plant phenological stages during 2016 and 2017 in a mixed plantation in Southwest China.The values of hue coefficientΔlogK(absorbance ratio of 400 nm and 600 nm on a logarithmic scale),optical density E4/E6(absorbance ratio of 400 nm and 600 nm)and A600/C(absorbance at 600 mm per mg of carbon per ml of extraction)and the concentration of extractable humus carbon(HC)were determined in four litter components(foliar,twigs,reproductive organs and miscellaneous)of the dominant species(Pterocarya stenoptera,Quercus acutissima,Cunninghamia lanceolata and Toxicodendron vernicifluum).All of the litter components exhibited obvious humification characteristics,and showed the highest concentration of extractable HC during the leaf maturation period.The miscellaneous and foliar litters showed greater humification than the other litter types.The components of Pterocarya stenoptera litter exhibited greater degrees of humification than those of the other species,with lowerΔlogK and E4/E6 values and higher A600/C values.The litter from coniferous and evergreen species showed lower humification than that from broad-leaf and deciduous species regardless of the litter component examined.The present results provide new insights into the management of plantations and theoretical data to accurately improve the quality of plantations and maintain soil fertility under a global change.Fujia Wu Chengming You Jie Du Xiangjun Pei Ningfei Lei Bo Tan Huixing Song 2021Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2021,90,2:0
