1Comparative genomic and transcriptomic analyses uncover the molecular basis of high nitrogen-use efficiency in the wheat cultivar Kenong 9204显示文摘Studying the regulatory mechanisms that drive nitrogen-use efficiency(NUE)in crops is important for sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.In this study,we generated a high-quality genome assembly for the high-NUE wheat cultivar Kenong 9204 and systematically analyzed genes related to nitrogen uptake and metabolism.By comparative analyses,we found that the high-affinity nitrate transporter gene family had expanded in Triticeae.Further studies showed that subsequent functional differentiation endowed the expanded family members with saline inducibility,providing a genetic basis for improving the adaptability of wheat to nitrogen deficiency in various habitats.To explore the genetic and molecular mechanisms of high NUE,we compared genomic and transcriptomic data from the high-NUE cultivar Kenong 9204(KN9204)and the low-NUE cultivar Jing 411 and quantified their nitrogen accumulation under high-and low-nitrogen conditions.Compared with Jing 411,KN9204 absorbed significantly more nitrogen at the reproductive stage after shooting and accumulated it in the shoots and seeds.Transcriptome data analysis revealed that nitrogen deficiency clearly suppressed the expression of genes related to cell division in the young spike of Jing 411,whereas this suppression of gene expression was much lower in KN9204.In addition,KN9204 maintained relatively high expression of NPF genes for a longer time than Jing 411 during seed maturity.Physiological and transcriptome data revealed that KN9204 was more tolerant of nitrogen deficiency than Jing 411,especially at the reproductive stage.The high NUE of KN9204 is an integrated effect controlled at different levels.Taken together,our data provide new insights into the molecular mechanisms of NUE and important gene resources for improving wheat cultivars with a higher NUE trait.Xiaoli Shi Fa Cui Xinyin Han Yilin He Long Zhao Na Zhang Hao Zhang Haidong Zhu Zhexin Liu Bin Ma Shusong Zheng Wei Zhang Jiajia Liu Xiaoli Fan Yaoqi Si Shuiquan Tian Jianqing Niu Huilan Wu Xuemei Liu Zhuo Chen Deyuan Meng Xiaoyan Wang Liqiang Song Lijing Sun Jie Han Hui Zhao Jun Ji Zhiguo Wang Xiaoyu He Ruilin Li Xuebin Chi Chengzhi Liang Beifang Niu Jun Xiao Junming Li Hong-Qing Ling 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,9:6
2Extensive evolution analysis of the global chikungunya virus strains revealed the origination of CHIKV epidemics in Pakistan in 2016显示文摘Chikungunya virus(CHIKV) is a mosquito-borne virus that causes epidemics widely in the world especially in the tropical and subtropical regions. Phylogenetic analysis has found that the CHIKV lineages were associated with the spatial and temporal distributions, which were related to the virus adaption to the major mosquito species and their distributions. In this study, we reported the complete genome sequences of eight CHIKV isolates from the outbreak in Pakistan last year. Then we reviewed the evolutionary history using extensive phylogenetic analysis, analyzed lineagespecific substitutions in viral proteins, and characterized the spreading pathway of CHIKV strains including the Pakistani strains. The results showed that the Pakistani stains belonged to the ECSA.IOL sub-lineage and derived from India. The genetic properties of the Pakistani strains including the adaptive substitution to vectors were further characterized, and the potential risks from the occurrence of CHIKV infection in Pakistan were discussed. 6Effects of acupoint versus non-acupoint electroacupuncture on cerebral cortical neuronal Bcl-2, Bax and caspase-3 expression in a rat model of focal cerebral ischemia显示文摘BACKGROUND: Several studies have demonstrated that electroacupuncture by acupoint selection can inhibit cerebral cortical neuronal apoptosis following cerebral ischemia/reperfusion. OBJECTIVE: To validate the effects of electroacupuncture by acupoint selection on the expression level of cortical neuronal anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 protein and the apoptotic executive protein, caspase-3, in rat models of focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: This randomized grouping, neural cell and molecular biology animal experiment was performed at the Laboratory of Pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Laboratory Animal Center of Henan Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine between November 2006 and May 2007. MATERIALS: Atotal of 40 healthy male adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly and evenly divided into four groups: sham-operated, model, electroacupuncture and non-acupoint control. G6895 electro-acupuncture instruments were purchased from Shanghai Huayi Instrument Factory, China. Caspase-3, Bcl-2 and Bax kits were provided by Wuhan Boster Bioengineering Co., Ltd., China. METHODS: Middle cerebral artery occlusion was induced in the model, electroacupuncture and non-acupoint groups. In the electroacupuncture group, the acupoints Jianyu (LI15), Waiguan (SJ5), Biguan (ST31), and Zusanli (ST36) were given electroacupuncture. In the non-acupoint control group, at each time point (immediately after ischemia and after reperfusion, or 2 hours after reperfusion), electroacupuncture was performed at the midpoints of Tianquan (PC2)-Quze (PC 3) line, Quze (PC 3)-Ximen (PC4) line, Zuwuli (LR10)-Yinbao (LR9) line, and Xiguan (LR7)-Zhongdu (LR6) line. Electroacupuncture parameters were set with a continuous wave with a frequency of 10 Hz, wave width 0.6 ms, voltage 1.5–3.0 V, and a duration of 10 minutes. The sham-operated and model groups received only animal fixation without electroacupuncture procedure. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Five rats were selected from each group for specimen preparation. A brain tissue block comprising the frontal lobe and the occipital lobe was cut into five coronal sections of equal-thickness. Neuronal apoptosis was detected by the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase biotin-dUTP nick end labeling technique. Expression levels of caspase-3, Bcl-2 and Bax were evaluated by immunohistochemistry. RESULTS: Compared with the sham-operated group, the model group exhibited significantly decreased Bcl-2 expression (P < 0.01), and significantly increased Bax protein expression, number of apoptotic cells, and caspase-3 expression (P < 0.01). In the electroacupuncture group, Bcl-2 protein expression was significantly increased (P < 0.01) compared with the model group, and the Bax protein expression, number of apoptotic cells, and caspase-3 expression were significantly decreased (P < 0.01); the above-mentioned changes were not significant in the non-acupoint group compared with the model group ( P > 0.05). 8Occurrence Regularity and Sexual Pheromone Trapping Effect of Spodoptera litura in Field in Central Guizhou显示文摘The Spodoptera litura occurrence quantity in Tianlong Town,Pingba County,Anshun City was dynamically monitored by an insect sex pheromone electronic measurement and forecast system in 2015 and 2016 and the trapped effect of S. litura was studied by the home-made S. litura sex pheromone traps in Baishiyan Town,Ziyun County and Tianlong Town,Pingba County in 2016 to accurately grasp the occurrence regularity of S. litura and apply insect sex pheromone for controlling S. litura in Central Guizhou tobacco-growing region. There are 5 generations of S. litura in a year in Central Guizhou region. The first generation of S.litura occurs from late April to middle May,the second from middle-to-late July to middle-to-late August,the third from early-to-middle August to the end of September,the fourth is in the end of October and the fifth in the end of November. S. litura emigrates or enters into the overwintering stage in December. S. litura is almost in active in the daytime during the peak occurrence period of S. litura adults. The first mating time of S. litura is at 17: 30 and its peak mating time is about 22: 00. The second mating time of S. litura is at 1: 00-5: 00 and its peak mating time is about 2: 30. The trapped S. litura quantity presents an obvious layer-belt distribution that the number in the outer ring is significantly higher than that in the middle ring,and the number in the middle ring is significantly higher than that in the inner ring. 10Survival after radical cystectomy for bladder cancer:Multicenter comparison between minimally invasive and open approaches显示文摘Objective:To investigate oncological outcomes in patients with bladder cancer who underwent minimally invasive radical cystectomy(MIRC)or open radical cystectomy(ORC).Methods:We identified patients with bladder cancer who underwent radical cystectomy(RC)in 13 centers of the Chinese Bladder Cancer Consortium(CBCC).Perioperative outcomes were compared between MIRC and ORC.The influence of surgical approaches on overall survival(OS)and cancer-specific survival(CSS)in the entire study group and subgroups classified according to pathologic stage or lymph node(LN)status was assessed with the log-rank test.Multivariable Cox proportional hazard models were used to evaluate the association among OS,CSS and risk factors of interest.Results:Of 2098 patients who underwent RC,1243 patients underwent MIRC(1087 laparoscopic RC and 156 robotic-assisted RC,respectively),while 855 patients underwent ORC.No significant differences were noted in positive surgical margin rate and 90-day postoperative mortality rate.MIRC was associated with less estimated blood loss,more LN yield,higher rate of neobladder diversion,longer operative time,and longer length of hospital stay.There was no significant difference in OS and CSS according to surgical approaches(pZ0.653,and 0.816,respectively).Subgroup analysis revealed that OS and CSS were not significantly different regardless of the status of extravesical involvement or LN involvement.Multivariable Cox regression analyses showed that the surgical approach was not a significant predictor of OS and CSS.Conclusions:Our study showed that MIRC was comparable to conventional ORC in terms of OS and CSS.Weibin Xie Junming Bi Qiang Wei Ping Han Dongkui Song Lei Shi Dingwei Ye Yijun Shen Xin Gou Weiyang He Shaogang Wang Zheng Liu Jinhai Fan Kaijie Wu Zhiwen Chen Xiaozhou Zhou Chuize Kong Yang Liu Chunxiao Liu Abai Xu Baiye Jin Guanghou Fu Wei Xue Haige Chen Tiejun Pan Zhong Tu Tianxin Lin Jian Huang 2020Asian Journal of Urology2020,7,3:1

12Ligand exchange engineering of FAPbI_(3) perovskite quantum dots for solar cells显示文摘Formamidinium lead triiodide(FAPbI_(3))perovskite quantum dots(PQDs)show great advantages in photovoltaic applications due to their ideal bandgap energy,high stability and solution processability.The anti-solvent used for the post-treatment of FAPbI_(3) PQD solid flms signifcantly afects the surface chemistry of the PQDs,and thus the vacancies caused by surface ligand removal inhibit the optoelectronic properties and stability of PQDs.Here,we study the efects of diferent anti-solvents with diferent polarities on FAPbI_(3) PQDs and select a series of organic molecules for surface passivation of PQDs.The results show that methyl acetate could efectively remove surface ligands from the PQD surface without destroying its crystal structure during the post-treatment.The benzamidine hydrochloride(PhFACl)applied as short ligands of PQDs during the post-treatment could fll the A-site and X-site vacancies of PQDs and thus improve the electronic coupling of PQDs.Finally,the PhFACl-based PQD solar cell(PQDSC)achieves a power conversion efciency of 6.4%,compared to that of 4.63%for the conventional PQDSC.This work provides a reference for insights into the surface passivation of PQDs and the improvement in device performance of PQDSCs.Wentao Fan Qiyuan Gao Xinyi Mei Donglin Jia Jingxuan Chen Junming Qiu Qisen Zhou Xiaoliang Zhang 2022Frontiers of Optoelectronics2022,15,3:0
13Shenweifang-containing serum inhibits transforming growth factor-β1–induced myofibroblast differentiation in normal rat kidney interstitial fibroblast cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of Shenweifang(SWF)-containing serum on transforming growth factor(TGF)-β1–induced fibroblast-myofibroblast transition in normal rat kidney interstitial fibroblast cells(NRK-49 F).METHODS:Sprague-Dawley rats were gavaged with one of five solutions:(a)saline;(b)saline plus low-dose SWF;(c)saline plus medium-dose SWF;(d)saline plus highdose SWF;and(e)saline plus valsartan.NRK-49 F cells were treated with TGF-β1 and cultured using serum from the gavaged rats.RESULTS:TGF-β1 treatment increased the expression ofα-smooth muscle actin,proliferating cell nuclear antigen,collagenⅠ,Smad3,mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)10,and c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK)3 and induced abnormalities in cell morphology,cell cycle progression,and cell proliferation.CONCLUSIONS:SWF-or valsartan-containing serum corrected(or partially corrected)TGF-β1–induced abnormal changes in this in vitro system.SWF-containing serum reversed abnormalities in morphology,cell cycle progression,and proliferation in TGF-β1–treated NRK-49F cells,probably by blocking the TGF-β1/Smads and TGF-β1/MAPK/JNK pathways.LIN Jiaru WANG Li CHEN Bo OU Santao QIN Jianhua FAN Junming 2022Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2022,42,1:0
14Luminescent ionic lattice occupation and wide tunable emission spectra of La_(2)MgZrO_(6):Bi^(3+),Eu^(3+)double perovskite phosphors for white light LED显示文摘La_(2)Mg_(1-x/2)Zr_(1-x/2)O_(6):xBi^(3+)(x=0.01-0.035,abbreviated as LMZ:Bi^(3+))and La_(2-y)Mg_(0.99)Zr_(0.99)O_(6):0.02Bi^(3+),yEu^(3+)(y=0.1-0.11,abbreviated as LMZ:Bi^(3+),Eu^(3+))double-perovskite phosphors were prepared through high-temperature solid-phase method.The emission spectrum of LMZ:xBi^(3+)(x=0.01-0.035)phosphors excited at 353 nm is asymmetric in the range between 375 and 650 nm,showing strong green light.There are two luminescent centers of[Mg1/Zr2-O_(6)]and[Mg2/Zr1-O_(6)]for Bi^(3+)occupation,which were analyzed through different excitation wavelengths,Gaussian fitting peaks,fluorescence decay curves and Rietveld refinement of powder X-ray diffraction data.Through deep study of the luminescent lattices in the LMZ matrix,the green to blue tunning-emission is observed by different excitation wavelengths.In addition,red emission is obtained by co-doping Bi^(3+)/Eu^(3+),and adjustable emission was investigated by changing the content of Eu^(3+)in the co-doped phosphor formulation,so it is converted from green emission to red emission.The above results demonstrate how to tune emission color by co-doping rare earth ions in the double perovskite phosphor,which is attractive for future applications.Chen Yang Chenli Fan Fayaz Hussain Weiqing Sheng Kaixin Song Jun Wu Qingming Huang Weitao Su Junming Xu Shikuan Sun Dawei Wang 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,4:0
