1Organic composition of gasoline and its potential effects on air pollution in North China显示文摘When gasoline is burned to power an automotive engine, a portion of the fuel remains unburned or is partially burned and leaves the engine as hydrocarbon and oxygenated compounds. In addition, a small portion of the fuel can escape the vehicle through evaporation. Changes in alkanes, olefins and aromatics each affect emissions differently, which could complicate control strategies for air pollution. In this study, we collected 31 gasoline samples over five provinces and cities(Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, and Shaanxi) in North China between 2012 and 2013. The organic composition of the gasoline samples was analyzed using the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) method, and the aniline compounds were analyzed by solvent extraction and the GC-MS method. The ratios of alkanes, aromatics, olefins and other organic compounds in gasoline were 40.6%, 38.1%, 12.9% and 8.4%, respectively. The aromatic and benzene exceedances were 15 and 8 based on the China's gasoline standards(III), and they accounted for 48.4% and 25.8% of all the gasoline samples, respectively. Strong carcinogen aniline compounds were detected in all 31 samples, and the content of aniline compounds in 3 samples exceeded 1%. The high proportion of aromatics and olefins in the gasoline increased the emissions of carbon monoxide(CO) and toxics, as well as the atmospheric photochemical reactivity of exhaust emissions, which could hasten the formation of secondary pollutants. 2Role of pre-vertical compression in deformation behavior of Mg alloy AZ31B during super-high reduction hot rolling process显示文摘Mg alloy AZ31 B plates were processed by hot rolling with different thickness reductions per pass and prevertical compression followed by super-high reduction hot rolling(PVCR), respectively. Microstructure evolution, rolling formability variation and mechanical responses were investigated. As reduction per pass increased, the number of shear bands deflecting toward rolling direction increased, resulting in easy crack initiation in and around the bands. With increasing reduction per pass up to 80%, twinning and twinning-induced dynamic recrystallization(DRX) dominated the deformation of the edge material at350?C, resulting in local recrystallization with coarse grains and further largest edge-crack degree. Preinduced {10ī12} tensile twins by pre-vertical compression(PVC) increased number density of nucleation sites for dynamic recrystallization during the subsequent severe rolling, which enhanced the dominant role of continuous dynamic recrystallization. Designed PVCR-b was proved to be a relatively effective method to improve rolling formability of rolled Mg alloy AZ31 B plates. With this method, mean grain size of AZ31 B plate was significantly refined from ~600 mm to ~14.1 mm and more homogeneous grain size distribution along transverse direction(TD) was achieved. In addition, basal texture intensity was greatly weakened. 3QTL mapping for grain number per spikelet in wheat using a high-density genetic map显示文摘Grain number per spikelet (GNS) is a key determinant of grain yield in wheat.A recombinant inbred line population comprising 300 lines was developed from a cross between a high GNS variety H461 and Chinese Spring from which the reference genome assembly of bread wheat was obtained.Both parents and the recombinant inbred lines were genotyped using the wheat 55K single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) array.A high-density genetic map containing 21,197 SNPs was obtained.These markers covered each of the 21 chromosomes with a total linkage distance of 3792.71 c M.Locations of these markers in this linkage map were highly consistent with their physical locations in the genome assembly of Chinese Spring.The two parents and the whole RIL population were assessed for GNS in two consecutive years at two different locations.Based on multi-environment phenotype data and best liner unbiased prediction values,three quantitative trait loci (QTL) for GNS were identified.One of them located on chromosomes 2B and the other two on 2D.Phenotypic variation explained by these loci varied from 3.07%to26.57%.One of these QTL,QGns.sicau-2D-2,was identified in each of all trials conducted.Based on the best linear unbiased prediction values,this locus explained 19.59%–26.57%of phenotypic variation.A KASP(Kompetitive Allele-Specific PCR) marker closely linked with this locus was generated and used to validate the effects of this locus in three different genetic backgrounds.The identified QTL and the KASP marker developed for it will be highly valuable in fine-mapping the locus and in exploiting it for markerassisted selection in wheat breeding programs.Yu Lin Xiaojun Jiang Haiyan Hu Kunyu Zhou Qing Wang Shifan Yu Xilan Yang Zhiqiang Wang Fangkun Wu Shihang Liu Caixia Li Mei Deng Jian Ma Guangdeng Chen Yuming Wei Youliang Zheng Yaxi Liu 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,5:4
4Isolation, Identification and Pathogenicity Analysis of Streptococcus suis Type 2显示文摘[Objectives]This study aimed to investigate the pathogenicity,growth characteristics and drug resistance of Streptococcus suis type 2.[Methods]Bacterial isolation and identification,biochemical experiments,determination of growth curve and correlation curve between OD 600 values and viable counts,drug susceptibility tests,pathogenicity analysis,and histopathological observations were carried out.[Results]The Streptococcus strain isolated from infected pigs was identified as Streptococcus suis type 2,which was named TA01 strain.TA01 strain reached the growth peak at 6-8 h post-incubation,and viable counts gradually declined after 8 h of incubation.The correlation equation between OD 600 values and viable counts is y=24.659 x-1.076 1,R^2=0.996 7.TA01 strain was sensitive to penicillin,erythromycin,florfenicol and oxacillin,and resistant to ciprofloxacin,polymyxin B and clindamycin.According to the results of pathogenicity analysis,all the mice in 3.6×10^9 cfu/mouse group died within 48,and these dead mice exhibited acute pyaemia septica.Based on the Reed-Muench formula,it was calculated that LD 50 of TA01 strain was 1.137×10^8 cfu/mouse.Pathological examination showed obvious blue-stained bacteria clusters,accompanied by neutrophil infiltration.[Conclusions]TA01 strain was a virulent strain of Streptococcus suis type 2.Compared with Streptococcus strains which were isolated and reported in China,TA01 strain exhibited strong virulence and rapid proliferation.Zicheng MA Yan LI Jinyuan GU Tao PENG Zhaohu LIU Hongyu WANG Fanliang MENG Fangkun WANG Sidang LIU 2019Agricultural Biotechnology2019,8,4:3
5Structural Characterization of Glucan Produced by Lactobacillus sake L-7 from Sausage显示文摘A linear glucan was produced by Lactobacillus sake L-7 isolated from homemade sausage. Cultivation of the strain in Man–Rogosa–Sharpe(MRS) medium containing 50 g/L sucrose yielded 5.3 g/L of purified exopolysaccharide(EPS). The EPS was characterized by gas chromatography(GC), Fourier-transform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy, high-performance sizeexclusion chromatography(HPSEC), nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The monosaccharide composition of the EPS was glucose, and its molecular weight was 1 × 10~7 Da. The FT-IR and NMR spectra revealed that the L-7 EPS was a linear glucan with α-(1 → 6) glucosidic bonds. SEM images of the dried EPS revealed a hollow tubular structure. The water solubility index and water holding capacity of L-7 EPS were 96 and 272%, respectively. The results of hydrolysis indicated that L-7 EPS was not susceptible to hydrolysis by physiological barriers and can be used as a soluble dietary fiber with health benefits. 6Optimum rolling speed and relevant temperature-and reduction-dependent interfacial friction behavior during the break-down rolling of AZ31B alloy显示文摘The present study aimed to determine the optimum rolling speed for break-down rolling of as-cast AZ31 B alloy and investigated the friction behavior associated with temperature-and reduction-sensitivity at the roll/plate contact interface. Tensile testing, formability evaluation and microstructural studies relevant to different rolling speeds were performed and finally the optimum operating rolling speed(50.0 ± 0.8 m/min) was obtained. Further, the effects of rolling reduction and initial temperature were assessed on the temperature variation, lateral spread and interfacial friction behavior at optimum rolling speed. The results showed that lower rolling speed(18.0 ± 0.8 m/min) resulted in an incompletely recrystallized structure where twins occupied relatively high volume fraction. Twinning dominated the deformation at rolling speed exceeding the optimum, resulting in the local recrystallization with shear bands and coarse grains. Rolling at 50.0 ± 0.8 m/min could get the best overall tensile properties and rolling formability due to the relatively high recrystallization degree and microstructure uniformity. An inverse method has been developed to determine the interfacial friction coefficient during interaction of AZ31 B alloy with roll surfaces. When rolling at the optimum speed, the interfacial friction coefficient ranged from 0.16 to 0.58, which was strongly positively correlated with the reduction but slightly positively correlated with the initial temperature. 7Bauschinger-Like Effect of AZ31 Magnesium Alloy Wide Sheet During the Straightening Process显示文摘The Bauschinger-like effect, which showed up in the straightening process of the AZ31 magnesium alloy wide sheet, was investigated through the multi-pass discrete three-point bending–unloading–bending(BUB) experiments. The stress variable, anisotropy, and asymmetry of tension and compression on the straightening process were corresponding to the Bauschingerlike effect. The Bauschinger-like effect in the initial, intermediate, and end of the straightening process was dominated by the twinning, detwinning, and dislocation induced by pyramidal < c + a > slip, respectively. Also, they were responsible for the transformation of the Bauschinger stress parameter(BSP) and Bauschinger energy parameter(BEP). 8Isolation, Purification, and Characterization of Exopolysaccharide Produced by Leuconostoc Citreum N21 from Dried Milk Cake显示文摘A strain with high production of exopolysaccharide(EPS) was isolated from dried milk cake(a traditional fermented food from Inner Mongolia). The strain was called N21 and later identified as Leuconostoc citreum( Leu. citreum). The strain was cultured in Man-Rogosa-Sharpe medium containing 50 g/L of sucrose for 48 h at 30 °C and the EPS purified, with a yield of 24.5 g/L. An average molecular weight of 6.07 × 10~6 g/mol was determined by high-performance size-exclusion chromatography. The structure of the purified EPS was investigated through gas chromatography, ~1H and ^(13)C nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The results demonstrated a polysaccharide composed of D-glucopyranose units in a linear chain with consecutive α(1 → 6) linkages. No branching was found in the structure of the exopolysaccharide. The purified EPS showed high water solubility and emulsibility. Based on the thermogravimetric curve, the degradation temperature of the EPS was 308.47 °C, which suggested that the dextran in the study exhibited high thermal stability. 9Top-coal deformation control of gob-side entry with narrow pillars and its application for fully mechanized mining face显示文摘A mechanical model to control the top-coal deformation is established in accordance with the structural characters of the gob-side entry surrounding rock for the fully-mechanic top-coal caving; the analytical solution of top coal roof-sag curve is deduced with Winkler elastic foundation beam model. By means of a calculating and analytic program, the top coal roof-sag values are calculated under the conditions of different supporting intensities, widths of narrow pillars and stiffness of top coal; meanwhile, the relationship between the roof-sag values and supporting intensity, width of narrow pillars and stiffness of top coal is analyzed as well. With the actual situation of the gob-side entry taken into consideration, the parameters of top-coal control are determined and a supporting plan is proposed for the top-coal control,which is proved to be reliable and effective by on-site verification. 10Organophosphate esters cause thyroid dysfunction via multiple signaling pathways in zebrafish brain显示文摘Organophosphate esters(OPEs)are widespread in various environmental media,and can disrupt thyroid endocrine signaling pathways.Mechanisms by which OPEs disrupt thyroid hormone(TH)signal transduction are not fully understood.Here,we present in vivo-in vitro-in silico evidence establishing OPEs as environmental THs competitively entering the brain to inhibit growth of zebrafish via multiple signaling pathways.OPEs can bind to transthyretin(TTR)and thyroxine-binding globulin,thereby affecting the transport of TH in the blood,and to the brain by TTR through the blood-brain barrier.When GH3 cells were exposed to OPEs,cell proliferation was significantly inhibited given that OPEs are competitive inhibitors of TH.Cresyl diphenyl phosphate was shown to be an effective antagonist of TH.Chronic exposure to OPEs significantly inhibited the growth of zebrafish by interfering with thyroperoxidase and thyroglobulin to inhibit TH synthesis.Based on comparisons of modulations of gene expression with the Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes databases,signaling pathways related to thyroid endocrine functions,such as receptor-ligand binding and regulation of hormone levels,were identified as being affected by exposure to OPEs.Effects were also associated with the biosynthesis and metabolism of lipids,and neuroactive ligand-receptor interactions.These findings provide a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms by which OPEs disrupt thyroid pathways in zebrafish.Zhenfei Yan Chenglian Feng Xiaowei Jin Fangkun Wang Cong Liu Na Li Yu Qiao Yingchen Bai Fengchang Wu John P.Giesy 2022Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2022,,4:2
