1Carbon-coated mesoporous Co9S8 nanoparticles on reduced graphene oxide as a long-life and high-rate anode material for potassium-ion batteries显示文摘Carbon-coated mesoporous Co9S8 nanoparticles supported on reduced graphene oxide(rGO)are successfully synthesized by a simple process.This composite makes full use of the protection of the carbon layer on the surface,the good conductivity and three-dimensional(3D)structure of rGO,the mesoporous structure and nanoscale size of Co9S8,thereby presenting the excellent electrochemical performances in potassium-ion batteries,407.9 mAh·g^−1 after 100 cycles at 0.2 A·g^−1 and 215.1 mAh·g^−1 at 5 A·g^−1 in rate performances.After 1,200 cycles at 1.0 A·g^−1,this composite still remains a capacity of 210.8 mAh·g^−1.The redox reactions for potassium storage are revealed by ex-situ transmission electron microscope(TEM)/high-resolution TEM(HRTEM)images,selected area electron diffraction(SAED)patterns and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)spectra.The application of this composite as the host of sulfur for Li-S batteries is also explored.It sustains a capacity of 431.8 mAh·g^−1 after 800 cycles at 3 C,leading to a degradation of 0.052%per cycle.These results confirm the wide applications of this composite for electrochemical energy storage.Guangyao Ma Xiao Xu Zhenyu Feng Chenjing Hu Yansong Zhu Xianfeng Yang Jian Yang Yitai Qian 2020Nano Research2020,13,3:9
2Building Information Modeling-Based Secondary Development System for 3D Modeling of Underground Pipelines显示文摘Underground pipeline networks constitute a major component of urban infrastructure,and thus,it is imperative to have an efficient mechanism to manage them.This study introduces a secondary development system to efficiently model underground pipeline networks,using the building information modeling(BIM)-based software Revit.The system comprises separate pipe point and tubulation models.Using a Revit application programming interface(API),the spatial position and attribute data of the pipe points are extracted from a pipeline database,and the corresponding tubulation data are extracted from a tubulation database.Using the Family class in Revit API,the cluster in the self-built library of pipe point is inserted into the spatial location and the attribute data is added;in the same way,all pipeline instances in the pipeline system are created.The extension and localization of the model accelerated the modeling speed.The system was then used in a real construction project.The expansion of the model database and rapid modeling made the application of BIM technology in three-dimensional visualization of underground pipeline networks more convenient.Furthermore,it has applications in pipeline engineering construction and management.Jun Chen Rao Hu Xianfeng Guo Feng Wu 2020Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2020,,5:2
3High population and dispersion of pentacoordinated Al~Ⅴ species on the surface of ?ame-made amorphous silica-alumina显示文摘Pentacoordinated Al(Al~Ⅴ)species in silica-alumina are promising to promote the formation of acid sites or act as surface defects for tailoring single-atom catalysts.However,pentahedral coordination(Al~Ⅴ)is rarely observed in conventionally prepared silica-alumina.Here,we show that high population and dispersion of Al~Ⅴ species on the surface of amorphous silica-alumina(ASA)can be achieved by means of flame spray pyrolysis.High resolution TEM/EDX,high magnetic-field NMR and DFT calculations are employed to characterize the structure of as-prepared ASAs.Solid-state ^(27)Al multi-quantum MAS NMR experiments show that most of the Al~Ⅴspecies are formed independently from the alumina phase and are accessible for guest molecules on the surface.Upon water adsorption,these Al~Ⅴ species are transformed to Al~Ⅵ species,structurally similar to surface Al~Ⅳ species,as confirmed by DFT calculations.The outstanding catalytic activity of as-synthesized ASA is demonstrated using the in situ H/D exchange reaction with deuterated benzene as an example.The Al~Ⅴ-rich ASA provides a much lower activation energy(~30 kJ/mol)than that reported for zeolite H-ZSM-5(~60 kJ/mol).The superior catalytic performance is attributed to the high Al~Ⅴcontent promoting the surface active sites in ASA.The knowledge gained on the synthesis of Al~Ⅴ-rich ASAs and the nature of aluminum coordination in these materials could pave the way to more efficient silica-alumina based catalysts.Zichun Wang Yijiao Jiang Xianfeng Yi Cuifeng Zhou Aditya Rawal James Hook Zongwen Liu Feng Deng Anmin Zheng Michael Hunger Alfons Baiker Jun Huang 2019Science Bulletin2019,64,8:2
4Deviation-Rectifying Control of Carbon Fiber Prepreg Slitting and Winding Machine显示文摘With the growing needs of prepreg tapes for the automated fiber placement(AFP),the deviation-rectifying of prepreg in slitting process was investigated on a self-developed 16-tow prepreg slitting and winding machine.The process of slitting and rewinding of prepreg tape was introduced,and the reason of prepreg tape deviation in slitting process was analyzed.In order to ensure the quality of the narrow prepreg slits,the application of the fuzzy PID algorithm in a closed-loop control system was discussed.A fuzzy PID algorithm was designed by combining fuzzy rules and PID controller.By applying it to precise deviation-rectifying control strategy,the automatic control of rectification could be achieved with accuracy of 0.1 mm,which satisfies the requirement of the prepreg tape both in slitting quality and layup quality for AFP.Wen Liwei Zhu Tengfei Qin Lihua Wang Xianfeng Pan Jie Feng Qiaoqiao 2018Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2018,35,3:2
5A 15-user quantum secure direct communication network显示文摘Quantum secure direct communication(QSDC)based on entanglement can directly transmit confidential information.However,the inability to simultaneously distinguish the four sets of encoded entangled states limits its practical application.Here,we explore a QSDC network based on time–energy entanglement and sum-frequency generation.In total,15 users are in a fully connected QSDC network,and the fidelity of the entangled state shared by any two users is>97%.The results show that when any two users are performing QSDC over 40 km of optical fiber,the fidelity of the entangled state shared by them is still>95%,and the rate of information transmission can be maintained above 1 Kbp/s.Our result demonstrates the feasibility of a proposed QSDC network and hence lays the foundation for the realization of satellite-based long-distance and global QSDC in the future.Zhantong Qi Yuanhua Li Yiwen Huang Juan Feng Yuanlin Zheng Xianfeng Chen 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,12:2

7Noble-metal-based high-entropy-alloy nanoparticles for electrocatalysis显示文摘Since the two seminal papers were published independently in 2004, high-entropy-alloys(HEAs) have been applied to structural and functional materials due to the enhanced mechanical properties, thermal stability, and electrical conductivity. In recent years, HEA nanoparticles(HEA-NPs) were paid much attention to in the field of catalysis for the promoted catalytic activity. Furthermore, the various ratios among the metal components and tunable bulk and surface structures enable HEAs have big room to enhance the catalytic performance. Especially, noble-metal-based HEAs displayed significantly improved performance in electrocatalysis, where the ‘core effects’ were employed to explain the superior catalytic activity. However, it is insufficient to understand the essential mechanism or further guide the design of electrocatalysts. Structure–property relationship should be disclosed for the catalysis on HEA-NPs to accelerate the process of seeking high effective and efficient electrocatalysts. Therefore, we summarized the recent advances of noble-metal-based HEA-NPs applied to electrocatalysis, such as hydrogen evolution reaction, oxygen evolution reaction, oxygen reduction reaction, methanol oxidation reaction, ethanol oxidation reaction, formic acid oxidation reaction, hydrogen oxidation reaction, carbon dioxide reduction reaction and nitrogen reduction reaction. For each electrocatalytic reaction, the reaction mechanism and catalyst structure were presented, and then the structure–property relationship was elaborated. The review begins with the development, concept, four ‘core effect’ and synthesis methods of HEAs. Next,the electrocatalytic reactions on noble-metal-based HEA-NPs are summarized and discussed independently. 11Development of low-coherence high-power laser drivers for inertial confinement fusion显示文摘The use of low-coherence light is expected to be one of the effective ways to suppress or even eliminate the laser–plasma instabilities that arise in attempts to achieve inertial confinement fusion.In this paper,a review of low-coherence high-power laser drivers and related key techniques is first presented.Work at typical low-coherence laser facilities,including Gekko XII,PHEBUS,Pharos III,and Kanal-2 is described.The many key techniques that are used in the research and development of low-coherence laser drivers are described and analyzed,including low-coherence source generation,amplification,harmonic conversion,and beam smoothing of low-coherence light.Then,recent progress achieved by our group in research on a broadband low-coherence laser driver is presented.During the development of our low-coherence high-power laser facility,we have proposed and implemented many key techniques for working with low-coherence light,including source generation,efficient amplification and propagation,harmonic conversion,beam smoothing,and precise beam control.Based on a series of technological breakthroughs,a kilojoule low-coherence laser driver named Kunwu with a coherence time of only 300 fs has been built,and the first round of physical experiments has been completed.This high-power laser facility provides not only a demonstration and verification platform for key techniques and system integration of a low-coherence laser driver,but also a new type of experimental platform for research into,for example,high-energy-density physics and,in particular,laser–plasma interactions.Yanqi Gao Yong Cui Lailin Ji Daxing Rao Xiaohui Zhao Fujian Li Dong Liu Wei Feng Lan Xia Jiani Liu Haitao Shi Pengyuan Du Jia Liu Xiaoli Li Tao Wang Tianxiong Zhang Chong Shan Yilin Hua Weixin Ma Xun Sun Xianfeng Chen Xiuguang Huang Jian Zhu Wenbing Pei Zhan Sui Sizu Fu 2020Matter and Radiation at Extremes2020,5,6:1

13Insight to the enhanced microwave absorption of porous N-doped carbon driven by ZIF-8:Competition between graphitization and porosity显示文摘Porous carbon-based materials are promised to be lightweight dielectric microwave absorbents.Deeply understanding the influence of graphitization grade and porous structure on the dielectric parameters is urgently required.Herein,utilizing the low boiling point of Zn,porous N-doped carbon was fabricated by carbonization of ZIF-8(Zn)at different temperature,and the microwave absorption performance was investigated.The porous N-doped carbon inherits the high porosity of ZIF-8 precursor.By increasing the carbonization temperature,the contents of Zn and N elements are decreased;the graphitization degree is improved;however,the specific surface area and porosity are increased first and then decreased.When the carbonization temperature is 1000°C,the porous N-doped carbon behaves enhanced microwave absorption.With an ultrathin thickness of 1.29 mm,the ideal RL reaches-50.57 dB at 16.95 GHz and the effective absorption bandwidth is 4.17 GHz.The mechanism of boosted microwave absorption is ascribed to the competition of graphitization and porosity as well as N dopants,resulting in high dielectric loss capacity and good impedance matching.The porous structure can prolong the pathways and raise the contact opportunity between microwaves and porous carbon,causing multiple scattering,interface polarization,and improved impedance matching.Besides,the N dopants can induce electron polarization and defect polarization.These results give a new insight to construct lightweight carbon-based microwave absorbents by regulating the graphitization and porosity.You Zhou Hongpeng Wang Dan Wang Xianfeng Yang Hongna Xing Juan Feng Yan Zong Xiuhong Zhu Xinghua Li Xinliang Zheng 2023International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2023,30,3:1
