2Branched tetraether lipids in Chinese soils:Evaluating the fidelity of MBT/CBT proxies as paleoenvironmental proxies显示文摘The ubiquitous occurrence of branched glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers(br GDGTs) in soils has allowed development of new proxies for reconstruction of past climate and environment. The methylation and cyclization degrees of br GDGTs, expressed as MBT and CBT, respectively, are reported to be mainly controlled by mean annual air temperature(MAAT) and soil p H. However, the br GDGT-derived temperatures and soil p H scatter widely when data from different environmental conditions are considered. In this study, we collected over 300 soil samples from China, which are representative of humid(Xishuangbanna, Guangzhou, and Shanghai), semi-arid(Dongying) and semi-arid/arid(Lanzhou, Tibetan Plateau) regions. Collectively we have the most extensive dataset that broadly characterizes the distribution of br GDGTs according to climate zones in China. The overall data demonstrate that the MBT/CBT derived temperatures better match the measured MAATs in humid and non-alkaline regions than those from regions of low MAP(<400 mm/yr) and above neutral soil p H(>7.0–7.5). Similarly, CBT describes soil p H much better in humid and non-alkaline soils than in semi-arid/arid and alkaline soils; the semi-arid/arid and alkaline soils tend to show a positive correlation between soil p H and CBT, which contradicts that in the humid and non-alkaline soils. While soil p H, MAAT and mean annual precipitation(MAP) are dominating factors controlling the br GDGT distribution across all climate zones, conductivity, total organic carbon and total nitrogen, as well as soil water content can also play an important role locally. Removing br GDGT-II resulted in a revised CBT index that provides more accurate estimation of p H, especially in semi-arid/arid and alkaline soils. 3Resequencing of 145 Landmark Cultivars Reveals Asymmetric Sub-genome Selection and Strong Founder Genotype Effects on Wheat Breeding in China显示文摘Controlled pedigrees and the multi-decade timescale of national crop plant breeding programs offer a unique experimental context for examining how selection affects plant genomes.More than 3000 wheat cultivars have been registered,released,and documented since 1949 in China.In this study,a set of 145 elite cultivars selected from historical points of wheat breeding in China were re-sequenced.A total of 43.75 Tb of sequence data were generated with an average read depth of 17.94x for each cultivar,and more than 60.92 million SNPs and 2.54 million InDels were captured,based on the Chinese Spring RefSeq genome v1.0.Seventy years of breeder-driven selection led to dramatic changes in grain yield and related phenotypes,with distinct genomic regions and phenotypes tar-geted by different breeders across the decades.There are very clear instances illustrating how introduced Italian and otherforeign germplasm was integrated into Chinese wheat programs and reshaped the genomic landscape of local modern cultivars.Importantly,the resequencing data also highlighted significant asymmetric breeding selec-tion among the three sub-genomes:this was evident in both the collinear blocks for homeologous chromosomes and among sets of three homeologous genes.Accumulation of more newly assembled genes in newer cultivars implied the potential value of these genes in breeding.Conserved and extended sharing of linkage disequilibrium(LD)blocks was highlighted among pedigree-related cultivars,in which fewer haplotype differences were detected.Fixation or replacement of haplotypes from founder genotypes after generations of breeding was related to their breeding value.Based on the haplotype frequency changes in LD blocks of pedigree-related cultivars,we propose a strategy for evaluating the breeding value of any given line on the basis of the accumulation(pyramiding)of bene-ficial haplotypes.Collectively,our study demonstrates the influence of 'founder genotypes' on the output of breeding efforts over many decades and also suggests that founder genotype perspectives are in fact more dy-namic when applied in the context of modern genomics-informed breeding.Chenyang Hao Chengzhi Jiao Jian Hou Tian Li Hongxia Liu Yuquan Wang Jun Zheng Hong Liu Zhihong Bi Fengfeng Xu Jing Zhao Lin Ma Yamei Wang Uzma Majeed Xu Liu Rudi Appels Marco Maccaferri Roberto Tuberosa Hongfeng Lu Xueyong Zhang 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,12:9
4Development of a new ferulic acid certified reference material for use in clinical chemistry and pharmaceutical analysis显示文摘This study compares the results of three certified methods,namely differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),the mass balance(MB) method and coulometric titrimetry(CT),in the purity assessment of ferulic acid certified reference material(CRM).Purity and expanded uncertainty as determined by the three methods were respectively 99.81%,0.16%;99.79%,0.16%;and 99.81%,0.26%with,in all cases,a coverage factor(k) of 2(P ? 95%).The purity results are consistent indicating that the combination of DSC,the MB method and CT provides a confident assessment of the purity of suitable CRMs like ferulic acid.Dezhi Yang Fengfeng Wang Li Zhang Ningbo Gong Yang Lv 2015Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2015,5,3:4

6Glass fiber supported BiOI thin-film fixed-bed photocatalytic reactor for water decontamination under solar light irradiation显示文摘BiOI powder has been proved to be an efficient photocatalyst, but the difficulty in removing it from water after reaction limits its application in real water treatment. To solve this problem,a thin-film fixed-bed reactor(TFFBR) was set-up by developing a BiOI thin film on glass fiber cloth(GFC). The composition and structure of the as-prepared films were characterized with X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, field emission microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The BiOI thin film was made by painting a silica sol containing BiOI on GFC, which could be tailored to desired sizes to accommodate the TFFBR. The mass of BiOI on the GFC increased with the number of iterations of the painting process. SiO2 sol glued the BiOI particles tightly onto the GFC,making the thin film strong enough to resist fluid flushing in the TFFBR. The photocatalytic activity of the BiOI thin film was investigated by degrading bisphenol A(BPA) under simulated sunlight. Ninety eight percent of BPA(20 mg/L in 2 L) was degraded by the BiOI thin film sample of seven layers(GFC-7) on the TFFBR within 8 hr irradiation. The GFC-7 displayed good photocatalytic ability toward artificial sewage containing BPA in a wide pH range(5–9),and also demonstrated excellent durability and reusability. 7Sol-gel preparation and phosphorescence property of Mn^(2+)-doped zinc boro-silicate glass thin films显示文摘Mn2+-doped zinc borosilicate (ZBSM) glass thin films were first synthesized by sol-gel method. In the experiment, a thin gel film was depos-ited onto quartz glass substrates by dip-coating method and then heat-treated to form a Mn2+-doped zinc borosilicate glass thin film. Long lasting phosphorescence (LLP) and photo-stimulated long lasting phosphorescence (PSLLP) were found in the film sample. According to fluorescence spectra, LLP emission spectra, and PSLLP emission spectra, both LLP and PSLLP emissions are attributed to the energy level transition of 4Eg→4A1g from Mn2+. Both the phosphorescence intensity decay curves contain a fast decay component and another slow decay one. The thermoluminescence (TL) spectra show that the sample has two kinds of traps at least and their energy level values are about 0.8 eV and 1.02 eV, which could be estimated by the Randall and Willcins formula. The infrared absorption spectra (IR) consist of characteristic vi-bration bands of Si-O-Si, Si-O-Zn, B-O in [BO3], B-O group, and Zn-O in [ZnO4]. 10Emergence of superconductivity from fully incoherent normal state in an iron-based superconductor (Ba_(0.6)K_(0.4))Fe_2As_2显示文摘In unconventional superconductors, it is generally believed that understanding the physical properties of the normal state is a pre-requisite for understanding the superconductivity mechanism. In conventional superconductors like niobium or lead, the normal state is a Fermi liquid with a well-defined Fermi surface and well-defined quasipartcles along the Fermi surface. Superconductivity is realized in this case by the Fermi surface instability in the superconducting state and the formation and condensation of the electron pairs(Cooper pairing). The high temperature cuprate superconductors, on the other hand, represent another extreme case that superconductivity can be realized in the underdoped region where there is neither well-defined Fermi surface due to the pseudogap formation nor quasiparticles near the antinodal regions in the normal state. Here we report a novel scenario that superconductivity is realized in a system with well-defined Fermi surface but without quasiparticles along the Fermi surface in the normal state.High resolution laser-based angle-resolved photoemission measurements have been performed on an optimally-doped iron-based superconductor(Ba_(0.6)K_(0.4))Fe_2As_2. We find that, while sharp superconducting coherence peaks emerge in the superconducting state on the hole-like Fermi surface sheets, no quasiparticle peak is present in the normal state. Its electronic behaviours deviate strongly from a Fermi liquid system. The superconducting gap of such a system exhibits an unusual temperature dependence that it is nearly a constant in the superconducting state and abruptly closes at Tc. 13The effect of oxygen on the epitaxial growth of diamond显示文摘We studied the effect of oxygen on the growth quality of diamond epitaxial layers. After oxygen is added during the growth of the diamond epitaxial layer, as the thickness of the epitaxial layer increases, the full width at half maximum of the rocking curve of the(004) plane of diamond epitaxial layer increases continuously, and, in addition, the intensities of both the Raman peaks and the free exciton emission peaks of the diamond epitaxial layer decrease continuously. These experimental results demonstrate that as the thickness of the diamond epitaxial layer increases, the quality of the diamond epitaxial layer degrades.
