2Fast start-up anammox process using Acyl-homoserine lactones(AHLs) containing supernatant显示文摘N-dodecanoyl homoserine lactone(C_(12)-HSL)was detected in the supernatant of an anammox granular sludge reactor(AGSR).C_(12)-HSL could enhance the specific anammox activity of anammox biomass.Adding C_(12)-HSL-containing AGSR supernatant into the continuously stirred tank reactors reduced the start-up time of the anammox process from80 to 66 days.Moreover,the nitrogen loading rate was also enhanced to 1.6 times that of the control reactor.AHLs could increase the secretion of extracellular polymeric substances and anammox obtained better enrichment with the addition of AHLs-containing AGSR supernatant.Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis analysis further revealed that AHLs played a role in mediating microbial community parameters.In conclusion,adding AHL-containing supernatant could be an effective and economical way to accelerate the start-up of anammox.Ran Zhao Hanmin Zhang Fan Zhang Fenglin Yang 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,3:7
3Anatomical variation of infra-pyloric artery origination: A prospective multicenter observational study (IPA-Origin)显示文摘Objective: Infra-pyloric artery(IPA) is an important anatomical landmark in treatment of gastric cancer and is the key vessel for pylorus-preserving gastrectomy and subgroup of infra-pyloric lymph nodes. However, its anatomical variation is not thoroughly understood. Our study aimed to clarify the origination of the IPA.Methods: We did this prospective, multicenter, open-label, observational study at gastric surgery departments of34 hospitals in China. Gastric cancer patients aged 18 years or older and scheduled to undergo elective total or distal gastrectomy were assigned. During the surgery, IPA dissecting and exposing the origination point with photographs or video clips were required. The primary outcome was the origination of the IPA. Analysis of variance, χ~2 tests and Fisher's tests were used to analyze the differences between groups. The study is registered at Clinicaltrials.gov(No. NCT03071237).Results: Between May 8 and July 31, 2017, 429 patients were assigned for the study, and 419(97.7%) patients had the IPA dissected and recorded through photograph or video and were included in the primary outcome analysis. The median age was 62 years old, and 73.7% were male. Among the patients, 78.5% received laparoscopic surgery. Single IPA origination was identified in 398(95.0%) patients, including gastroduodenal artery(GDA) in154(36.8%) patients, anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery(ASPDA) in 130(31.0%) patients, and right gastroepiploic artery(RGEA) in 114(27.2%) patients. Fifteen(3.6%) patients were identified with multiple IPA and 6(1.4%) patients were identified as IPA absence. The differences in the distribution of surgical approach(P=0.003) and geographic area(P=0.030) were statistically significant. 12A comprehensive multi‐hazard risk assessment model for an urban agglomeration with multiple factors显示文摘To assist the Department of Emergency Management in understanding the overall risk characteristics and situation of an urban agglomeration for a reasonable risk prevention and control strategy,this study developed a comprehensive multi-hazard risk assessment model for an urban agglomeration with multiple factors.The proposed model includes disaster probability and disaster loss sub-models.The model evaluated four types of disaster risk in urban agglomerations:natural disasters,accidental disasters,public health incidents,and social security incidents.In addition,a variety of factors were integrated into the model,including the socioeconomic foundation of urban agglomerations,the oligopoly effect of core cities,historical disaster losses,the effect of disaster chains,the ability of disaster prevention and mitigation,and intercity coordinated rescue capabilities.Finally,the risk assessment model was applied to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration.The assessment results were compared to the distribution of the new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic in the target urban agglomeration.The results showed that after analyzing the risk characteristics and evaluating the risk levels,the model not only showed the comprehensive risk levels and distribution of urban agglomerations but also revealed the high-risk areas and the key points of risk prevention and control.More importantly,the results obtained through the model can facilitate the strategic planning of disaster prevention and mitigation for urban agglomerations.Changkun Chen Dongyue Zhao Fan He Fenglin Sun 2023Journal of Safety Science and Resilience2023,4,1:1

15Improving the protective effects of a FGF for peripheral nerve injury repair using sulfated chitooligosaccharides显示文摘Injury to the peripheral nerves can result in temporary or life-long neuronal dysfunction and subsequent economic or social disability. Acidic fibroblast growth factor(a FGF) promotes the growth and survival of neurons and is a possible treatment for peripheral nerve injury. Yet,the actual therapeutic utility of a FGF is limited by its short half-life and instability in vivo. In the present study,we prepared sulfated chitooligosaccharides(SCOS),which have heparinlike properties,to improve the bioactivity of a FGF. We investigated the protective effects of SCOS with or without a FGF on RSC96 cells exposed to Na2 S2 O4 hypoxia/reoxygenation injury. Cell viability was measured by MTT assay and cytotoxicity induced by Na2 S2 O4 was assessed by lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) release into the culture medium. Pretreatment with a FGF and SCOS dramatically decreased LDH release after injury compared to pretreatment with a FGF or SCOS alone. We subsequently prepared an a FGF/SCOS thermo-sensitive hydrogel with poloxamer and examined its effects in vivo. Paw withdrawal thresholds and thermal withdrawal latencies were measured in rats with sciatic nerve injury. Local injection of the a FGF/SCOS hydrogels(a FGF: 40,80 μg/kg) increased the efficiency of sciatic nerve repair compared to a FGF(80 μg/kg) hydrogel alone. Especially a FGF/SCOS thermo-sensitive hydrogel decreased paw withdrawal thresholds from 117.75 ± 8.38(g,4 d) to 65.74 ± 3.39(g,10 d),but a FGF alone group were 140.58 ± 27.54(g,4 d) to 89.12 ± 5.60(g,10 d)(a FGF dose was 80 μg/kg,P < 0.05,n = 8). The thermal withdrawal latencies decreased from 11.61 ± 2.26(s,4 d) to 2.37 ±0.67(s,10 d). However,a FGF alone group were from 17.69 ± 1.47(s,4 d) to4.65 ± 1.73(s,10 d)(P < 0.05,n = 8). Furthermore,the a FGF/SCOS hydrogels also exhibited good biocompatibility in mice. In summary,SCOS improved the protective effects of a FGF in RSC96 cells injured with Na2S2O4 and increased the efficiency of nerve repair and recovery of function in rats with sciatic nerve injury. 16Sequentially releasing self-healing hydrogel fabricated with TGFβ3-microspheres and bFGF to facilitate rat alveolar bone defect repair显示文摘Resorption and loss of alveolar bone leads to oral dysfunction and loss of natural or implant teeth. Biomimetic delivery of growth factors based on stem cell recruitment and osteogenic differentiation, as the key steps in natural alveolar bone regenerative process, has been an area of intense research in recent years. A mesoporous self-healing hydrogel(DFH) with basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF) entrapment and transforming growth factor β3(TGFβ3)-loaded chitosan microspheres(CMs) was developed. The formulation was optimized by multiple tests of self-healing, in-bottle inversion, SEM, rheological, swelling rate and in vitro degradation. In vitro tubule formation assays, cell migration assays, and osteogenic differentiation assays confirmed the ability of DFH to promote blood vessels, recruit stem cells, and promote osteogenic differentiation. The optimum DFH formula is 0.05 ml 4ArmPEG-DF(20%) added to 1 ml CsGlu(2%) containing bFGF(80 ng) and TGFβ3-microspheres(5 mg). The results of in vitro release studied by Elisa kit, indicated an 95% release of b FGF in7 d and long-term sustained release of TGFβ3. For alveolar defects rat models, the expression levels of CD29 and CD45, the bone volume fraction, trabecular number, and trabecular thickness of new bone monitored by Micro-CT in DFH treatment groups were significantly higher than others(*P < 0.05, vs Model). HE and Masson staining show the same results.In conclusion, DFH is a design of bionic alveolar remodelling microenvironment, that is in early time microvessels formed by b FGF provide nutritious to recruited endogenous stem cells, then TGFβ3 slowly released speed up the process of new bones formation to common facilitate rat alveolar defect repair. 19Effect of Soil on the Growth and Quality of Pepper during Different Durations of Continuous Planting显示文摘With the greenhouse soil that had been planted with cucumber as the control,the greenhouse soil that had been planted with pepper for 3,7,10 and 15 consecutive years was collected,and the effects of continuous cropping on plant height,stem diameter,leaf area,yield,photosynthetic pigment content and fruit quality of pepper were investigated by pot experiment. The results showed that with the extension of continuous cropping duration,the plant height,stem diameter and yield of pepper decreased significantly compared with the control; and the mass fraction of photosynthetic pigments declined,and the mass fractions of chlorophyll a and total chlorophyll were significantly lower than those of the control.
