| 1 | Recently duplicated sesterterpene(C25) gene clusters in Arabidopsis thaliana modulate root microbiota显示文摘Land plants co-speciate with a diversity of continually expanding plant specialized metabolites(PSMs) and root microbial communities(microbiota).Homeostatic interactions between plants and root microbiota are essential for plant survival in natural environments.A growing appreciation of microbiota for plant health is fuelling rapid advances in genetic mechanisms of controlling microbiota by host plants.PSMs have long been proposed to mediate plant and single microbe interactions.However,the effects of PSMs,especially those evolutionarily new PSMs,on root microbiota at community level remain to be elucidated.Here,we discovered sesterterpenes in Arabidopsis thaliana,produced by recently duplicated prenyltransferase-terpene synthase(PT-TPS) gene clusters,with neo-functionalization.A single-residue substitution played a critical role in the acquisition of sesterterpene synthase(sesterTPS) activity in Brassicaceae plants.Moreover,we found that the absence of two root-specific sesterterpenoids,with similar chemical structure,significantly affected root microbiota assembly in similar patterns.Our results not only demonstrate the sensitivity of plant microbiota to PSMs but also establish a complete framework of host plants to control root microbiota composition through evolutionarily dynamic PSMs. | Qingwen Chen Ting Jiang Yong-Xin Liu Haili Liu Tao Zhao Zhixi Liu Xiangchao Gan Asis Hallab Xuemei Wang Juan He Yihua Ma Fengxia Zhang Tao Jin M. | 2 | Histological, hormonal and transcriptomic reveal the changes upon gibberellin-induced parthenocarpy in pear fruit显示文摘Phytohormones play crucial roles in fruit set regulation and development.Here,gibberellins(GA4+7),but not GA3,induced pear parthenocarpy.To systematically investigate the changes upon GA4+7 induced pear parthenocarpy,dynamic changes in histology,hormone and transcript levels were observed and identified in unpollinated,pollinated and GA4+7-treated ovaries.Mesocarp cells continued developing in both GA4+7-treated and pollinated ovaries.In unpollinated ovaries,mesocarp cells stopped developing 14 days after anthesis.During fruit set process,GA4+7,but not GA1+3,increased after pollination.Abscisic acid(ABA)accumulation was significantly repressed by GA4+7 or pollination,but under unpollinated conditions,ABA was produced in large quantities.Moreover,indole-3-acetic acid biosynthesis was not induced by GA4+7 or pollination treatments.Details of this GA–auxin–ABA cross-linked gene network were determined by a comparative transcriptome analysis.The indole-3-acetic acid transport-related genes,mainly auxin efflux carrier component genes,were induced in both GA4+7-treated and pollinated ovaries.ABA biosynthetic genes of the 9-cis-epoxycarotenoid dioxygenase family were repressed by GA4+7 and pollination.Moreover,directly related genes in the downstream parthenocarpy network involved in cell division and expansion(upregulated),and MADS-box family genes(downregulated),were also identified.Thus,a model of GA-induced hormonal balance and its effects on parthenocarpy were established. | Lulu Liu Zhigang Wang Jianlong Liu Fengxia Liu Rui Zhai Chunqin Zhu Huibin Wang Fengwang Ma Lingfei Xu | 2018 | Horticulture Research2018,5,1: | 7 |

| 4 | Epidemiological characteristics and temporal-spatial analysis of overseas imported dengue fever cases in outbreak provinces of China, 2005–2019显示文摘Background Overseas imported dengue fever is an important factor in local outbreaks of this disease in the mainland of China.To better prevent and control such local outbreaks,the epidemiological characteristics and temporal-spatial distribution of overseas imported dengue fever cases in provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs)where dengue fever is outbreak in the mainland of China were explored.Methods Using the Chinese National Notifiable Infectious Disease Reporting Information System(CNNDS),we identified overseas imported dengue fever cases in dengue fever outbreak areas in the mainland of China from 2005 to 2019 to draw the epidemic curve and population characteristic distribution of overseas imported cases in each PLAD.Based on spatial autocorrelation analysis of ArcGIS 10.5 and temporal-spatial scanning analysis of SaTScan 9.5,we analyzed the temporal-spatial distribution of overseas imported dengue fever in dengue fever outbreak areas in the mainland of China.Results A total of 11,407 imported cases,mainly from Southeast Asia,were recorded from 2005 to 2019 in these 13 PLADs.Of which 62.1%were imported into Yunnan and Guangdong Provinces.Among the imported cases,there were more males than females,mainly from the 21–50 age group.The hot spots were concentrated in parts of Yunnan,Guangdong and Fujian Provinces.We found the cluster of infected areas were expanding northward.Conclusions Based on the analysis of overseas imported dengue cases in 13 PLADs of the mainland of China from 2005 to 2019,we obtained the epidemiological characteristics and spatial distribution of imported dengue cases.Border controls need to pay attention to key population sectors,such as 21–50 years old men and education of key populations on dengue prevention.There is a need to improve the awareness of the prevention and control of imported cases in border areas.At the same time,northern regions cannot relax their vigilance. | Xinchang Lun Yiguan Wang Chunchun Zhao Haixia Wu Caiying Zhu Delong Ma Mingfang Xu Jun Wang Qiyong Liu Lei Xu Fengxia Meng | 2022 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2022,11,1: | 3 |

Four Fenton systems were prepared and compared with each other, including Nickel Foam(NF)/TiO_2, NF/Bi_2WO_6, Ceramic foam(CM)/TiO_2, and CM/Bi_2WO_6. The order of effect of fenton reaction ranked as NF/TiO_2>CM/TiO_2>NF/Bi_2WO_6>CM/Bi_2WO_6. In acid or alkaline solution, the removal efficiency also decreased compared with neutral solution. With lower p H values, the nanoparticles were easier to break off from NF skeleton. Thus the synergetic effect of photocatalysis and fenton reaction can not take action. As for CM skeleton, the bond –Si-O-can bind with TiO_2 or Bi_2WO_6. The membrane fluidity was used as an indicating parameter. After being treated by Fenton reaction, N. europaea surface was rougher than the native bacterium and the bulges on cell surface became irregular, which is attributed to change of lipopolysaccharide patches.
