| 1 | Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization(MOPSO) for a Distributed Energy System Integrated with Energy Storage显示文摘Distributed energy systems are considered as a promising technology for sustainable development and have become a popular research topic in the areas of building energy systems. This work presents a case study of optimizing an integrated distributed energy system consisting of combined heat and power(CHP), photovoltaics(PV), and electric and/or thermal energy storage for a hospital and large hotel buildings located in Texas and California. First, simulation models for all subsystems, which are developed individually, are integrated together according to a control strategy designed to satisfy both the electric and thermal energy requirements of a building. Subsequently, a multi-objective particle swarm optimization(MOPSO) is employed to obtain an optimal design of each subsystem. The objectives of the optimization are to minimize the simple payback period(PBP) and maximize the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions(RCDE). Finally, the energy performance for the selected building types and locations are analyzed after the optimization. Results indicate that the proposed optimization method could be applied to determine an optimal design of distributed energy systems, which reaches a trade-off between the economic and environmental performance for different buildings. With the presented distributed energy system, a peak shaving in electricity of about 300 kW and a reduction in boiler fuel consumption of 610 kW could be attained for the hospital building located in California for a winter day. | 3 | Composition and Spatial Distribution of Soil Mesofauna Along an Elevation Gradient on the North Slope of the Changbai Mountains, China显示文摘The Changbai Mountains, located in northeastern China, show clear vertical zonation of vegetation types. Six different habitats,namely Pinus koraiensis mixed broad-leaved forest, Pinus koraiensis-Picea forest, spruce-fir forest, Betula ermanii forest, alpine meadow and alpine semi-desert, at elevations ranging from 780 to 2 480 m, covering almost all ecosystems on the north slope of the Changbai Mountains, were investigated to determine: i) whether or not the community composition of soil mesofauna varied significantly at different elevations; ii) if different soil mesofauna groups would respond differently to elevation and iii) which factors influenced the spatial distribution of soil mesofauna along elevation. Soil mesofauna were collected from each habitat in spring(May),summer(July) and autumn(September) of 2009. The soil mesofauna communities were comprised of at least 44 groups and were dominated by Acari and Collembola, followed by Coleoptera, Diptera larvae and Enchytraeidae. The composition, diversity and abundance of soil mesofauna varied among the six habitats. Meanwhile, significant seasonal variations were observed in the composition,abundance and diversity of the soil mesofauna in each habitat. The taxonomic richness and Shannon index were affected by elevation and soil properties, while the abundance was only significantly affected by soil properties. With regard to taxa, the habitats and seasons had significant effects on almost all the abundances of the major taxonomic groups. The abundance of more taxonomic groups was significantly influenced by the soil properties, while those of Geophilomorpha, Araneae and other taxa were affected by elevation.It is concluded that the composition and spatial distribution of the soil mesofauna varied along the elevation gradient on the north slope of the Changbai Mountains, which might be largely related to the variations of the plant community, soil properties and climate change resulting from the elevation gradient. | JIANG Yunfeng YIN Xiuqin WANG Fubin | 2015 | Pedosphere2015,25,6: | 6 |
| 4 | Research and implementation of 100 A pulsed current source pulse edge compression显示文摘In order to increase the usefulness of pulsed current source in engineering practice, research and study was carried out on how to increase the pulse current amplitude, reduce the rise /fall time of output pulse and MOSFET switching losses, etc. Through the analysis of the pulsed current source works theory and the mathematical derivation of the circuit model, the deduction and calculation of the pulse edge compression control methods, and improve the overall circuit structure and optimize the manufacturing process according to the theory. The following indicators was realized: the output pulse current amplitude can be up to 100 A, the shortest pulse rise / fall time was 18.8 ns and 16.1 ns respectively when the maximum amplitude output, the pulse width could be narrowest to 40 ns, repetition frequency could achieve 10 Hz to 10 k Hz, MOSFET switching losses decreased by 30.9 %. | 6 | Poly(dimethyl siloxane)anti-corrosion coating with wide pH-responsive and self-healing performance based on core-shell nanofiber containers显示文摘In this research,core-shell electrospun fibers loaded with the shell of cellulose acetate and the core of oleic acid and alkyd varnish resin were synthesized and used within poly(dimethyl siloxane)(PDMS)to prepare self-healing and p H-responsive coatings for a steel substrate.The morphology of the electrospun fibers was characterized by scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy and confocal fluorescence microscopy.Thermo gravimetric analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy revealed that the self-healing agents were loaded successfully with a loading rate of 2.9%.The properties of the fiber-PDMS composite coating were characterized by water contact angle measurements,mechanical tests,electrochemical impedance spectroscopy,and scanning Kelvin probe.Results show that the maximum self-healing efficiencies of the fiber-PDMS coating in alkaline and acidic solution are 95.96%and 97.04%,respectively.The composition of the self-healing agents at the damaged part of the coating was verified by an infrared mapping test and using an energy dispersive spectrometer.In addition,the sandpaper abrasion test shows the hydrophobic effect of fiber-PDMS coating remains above 88.2%and decreases slightly through the addition of abrasion cycles.This research can pave the way for the industrial applications of p H-responsive self-healing coatings. | Xiaohong Ji Wei Wang Xia Zhao Lifei Wang Fubin Ma Yanli Wang Jizhou Duan Baorong Hou | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,6: | 4 |
| 7 | Multiphase microstructure formation and its effect on fracture behavior of medium carbon high silicon high strength steel显示文摘This work investigated the evolution of multiphase microstructure and impact fracture behavior of medium carbon high silicon high strength steel subjected to the austempering treatment at 240,360,and400℃.The results show that martensite,bainite,and retained austenite(RA)are the main microstructural phases.The austempering treatments at 360 and 400℃ caused the formation of carbon-poor ferrite in the matrix,and the transformation of ultrafine bainite into coarse lath bainite and granular bainite,respectively.Thick filmy RA was distributed between bainite laths.The polygonal martensiteaustenite islands and blocky RA formed along the grain boundaries.The average carbon concentration in the matrix decreased with the temperature increase,while the impact toughness initially increased and then dropped with temperature.The quasi-cleavage brittle fracture dominated the impact fracture mechanism of the sample austempered at 240℃ by forming tearing surfaces and tearing steps.The microcracks disappeared in the RA on the prior austenite grain boundaries.On the other side,the fracture surface of the sample austempered at 360℃ exhibited ductile fracture with deep dimples and brittle fracture with cleavage river patterns.The polygonal martensite-austenite islands or blocky RA constrained the microcracks.After austempered at 400℃,the brittle fracture was dominant,showing river patterns,and the microcracks propagated through the granular bainite without any resistance. | Kui Chen Huabing Li Zhouhua Jiang Fubin Liu Congpeng Kang Xiaodong Ma Baojun Zhao | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,13: | 3 |
| 8 | Environmental behaviors of phoxim with two formulations in bamboo forest under soil surface mulching显示文摘Phoxim(emulsifiable concentrate(EC) and granules(G)) has been widely used in bamboo forests. The persistence and magnitude of phoxim residues in the crop and soil must be investigated to ensure human and environmental safety. The environmental behaviors of the two formulations were investigated in a bamboo forest under soil surface mulching conditions(CP) and non-covered cultivation conditions(NCP). The half-lives of phoxim in soil under the two conditions in soil were 4.1–6.2 days(EC) and 31.5–49.5 days(G),respectively. Phoxim in EC could be leached from the topsoil into the subsoil. A minimized leaching effect was observed for G under NCP. Inversely, an enhanced leaching effect was observed for G under CP. The G formulation resulted in more parent compound(in bamboo shoots) and metabolite(in soil) residues of phoxim than in the case of EC, especially under CP conditions. In addition, the intensity and duration of the formulation effect on soil p H adjustment from G were more obvious than that from EC. Results showed that the environmental behaviors(distribution, degradation, residue) of phoxim in the bamboo forest were significantly influenced by the type of formulation. The prolongation effect from phoxim G might cause persistence and long-term environmental risk. | 9 | Analysis of the thermodynamic performance limits of the organic Rankine cycle in low and medium temperature heat source applications显示文摘In this paper,an exploration of the practical thermodynamic performance limits of the organic Rankine cycle(ORC)under working fluid and cycle parameter restrictions is presented.These performance limits are more realistic benchmarks for the thermodynamic cycle than the efficiency of the Carnot cycle.Subcritical ORC configuration with four typical case studies that are related to temperature ranging from 373.15 to 673.15 K is taken into account.The ORC is defined by its cycle parameters and working fluid characteristic properties.The cycle parameters involve evaporation temperature(T_(eva)),condensation temperature(T_(con))and superheat degree(ΔT_(sup)),while the working fluids are represented by the characteristic properties including critical temperature(T_(c)),critical pressure(p_(c)),acentric factor(ω),and molar ideal gas isobaric heat capacity based on the principle of corresponding states.Subsequently,Pareto optimum solutions for obtained hypothetical working fluids and cycle parameters are achieved using multi-objective optimization method with the consideration of both thermal efficiency(η_(th))and volumetric power output(VPO).Finally,sensitivity analysis of the working fluid characteristic properties is conducted,and the second law of thermodynamics analysis,especially the applicability of entropy generation minimization,is performed.The results show that the current commonly used working fluids are widely scattered below the Pareto front that represents the tradeoff betweenη_(th) and VPO for obtained hypothetical fluids.T_(eva) and T_(con) are the most dominant cycle parameters,while T_(c) and ωtend to be the most dominant characteristic property parameters.The entropy generation minimization does not give the same optimal results. | YANG FuBin YANG FuFang LI Jian HU ShuoZhuo YANG Zhen DUAN Yuan Yuan | 2021 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,8: | 2 |

Methods: Haisaik chickens were used to establish the animal models of myopia. Monocular eyelids were sutured for form deprivation on the 5th day after chickens birth.
