1Effect of system parameters on the size distributions of hollow nickel microspheres produced by an ultrasound-aided electrical discharge machining process显示文摘Ultrasound-aided electric discharge machining(EDM) is an emerging technology for producing hollow nickel microspheres.This technology combines traditional EDM with the cavitation and vibration effects of ultrasound to produce hollow microspheres.In this paper,ultrasound-aided EDM was carried out in a kerosene medium(the working solution).The effects of various parameters on the sizes of microspheres were investigated using scanning electronic microscopy(SEM).Smileview software was used to measure the sizes of the microspheres.Originpro software was used for statistical analysis to determine the size distributions of the microspheres.To study the effects of the system parameters on the sizes of the microspheres,we first investigated the necessity of using an ultrasonic wave with EDM.After comparing the experimental results with and without the ultrasonic field,we found that ultrasound-induced cavitation and vibration effects reduced the diameters of the microspheres.We then studied the effects of several electrical parameters,including the arc current,pulse width,and gap voltage,on the sizes of the microspheres at an ultrasound frequency of 40 kHz.Smaller microspheres could be obtained by lowering the arc current,pulse width,and gap voltage.Yifan Liu Xianglong Li Fushi Bai Jian Chen Yantao Wang Nan Liu 2014Particuology2014,12,6:4

3Investigation on photochromism of 1,2-bis(1,4-dimethyl-2-phenyl)perfluorocyclopentene显示文摘The photochromic diarylethene, 1,2-bis(1,4-dimethyl-2-phenyl)perfluorocyclopentene has been synthesized and its single crystal can be obtained in hexane at -4℃. The structure of diphenylperluorocyclopentene bearing C2/c space group and monoclinic crystal system is very different from that of dithienylperfluorocyclopentene derivatives bearing Pī space group and triclinic crystal system by X-ray crystallographic analysis. The compound undergoes the phototchromic reaction in solution but no optical activity in single crystal. 4Synthesis, spectral properties of aluminum polymeric phthalocyanine carboxyl with low aggregation in aqueous solution显示文摘A water soluble poly-[tetrakis-(2,3-dicarboxylate phenoxy) methyl methan] aluminum phthalocyanine (AlPPc.(COOH)x) has been synthesized from the cyclization of tetranuclear phthalonitrile and successive hydrolysis of cyano in alkaline solution. The absorption spectra showed low aggregation of this compound in pH 9.18 buffer than that of existing water soluble phthalocyanine compounds. With the addition of Triton X 100, an enhancement of fluorescence emission with quantum yield from 0.4 to 0.83 was observed; contrarily, it was thoroughly quenched by the addition of CATB in suit. A longer life time of singlet state was also detected in presence of Triton X 100. 10Novel Traveling Wave Sandwich Piezoelectric Transducer with Single Phase Drive:Theoretical Modeling,Experimental Validation,and Application Investigation显示文摘Most of traditional traveling wave piezoelectric transducers are driven by two phase different excitation signals,leading to a complex control system and seriously limiting their applications in industry.To overcome these issues,a novel traveling wave sandwich piezoelectric transducer with a single-phase drive is proposed in this study.Traveling waves are produced in two driving rings of the transducer while the longitudinal vibration is excited in its sandwich composite beam,due to the coupling property of the combined structure.This results in the production of elliptical motions in the two driving rings to achieve the drive function.An analytical model is firstly developed using the transfer matrix method to analyze the dynamic behavior of the proposed transducer.Its vibration characteristics are measured and compared with computational results to validate the effectiveness of the proposed analytical model.Besides,the driving concept of the transducer is investigated by computing the motion trajectory of surface points of the driving ring and the quality of traveling wave of the driving ring.Additionally,application example investigations on the driving effect of the proposed transducer are carried out by constructing and assembling a tracked mobile system.Experimental results indicated that 1)the assembled tracked mobile system moved in the driving frequency of 19410 Hz corresponding to its maximum mean velocity through frequency sensitivity experiments;2)motion characteristic and traction performance measurements of the system prototype presented its maximum mean velocity with 59 mm/s and its maximum stalling traction force with 1.65 N,at the excitation voltage of 500 V_(RMS).These experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed traveling wave sandwich piezoelectric transducer.Liang Wang Fushi Bai Viktor Hofmann Jiamei Jin Jens Twiefel 2021Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,5:1
11A rapid response photochromic diarylethene material for rewritable holographic data storage显示文摘A novel diarylethene,namely 4,5-(2,5-dimethyl thiophene) phthalimide,was synthesized and successfully introduced to rewritable holographic data storage.Upon the alternative illumination of UV and visible light(>400 nm),this compound underwent rapid,reversible inter-conversion between colorless open-ring isomer and yellow-green ring-closed form in both solution and polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA) film.Subsequently,we investigated the characteristics of volume homographic recording of the diarylethene-doped PMMA film(1 m thick).The maximum refractive index modulation(0.87‰) of the film during recording could be reached within just 120 s which gave the ability of fast recording.The high quality reconstruction after 50 write/erase cycles demonstrated its excellent fatigue-resistance and high resolution.All those results indicated that this molecule was a reliable fast write/erase holographic storage material.ZHANG Qi LI JingMing NIU LiHong CHEN ZiHui YANG Lin ZHANG ShiMan CAO LiangCai ZHANG FuShi 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,1:1

17First-Principles Calculations for Stable β-Ti–Mo Alloys Using Cluster-Plus-Glue-Atom Model显示文摘Construction of suitable structural models in order to account for chemical short-range orders is the reason behind the difficult multi-scale computational simulation methods for solid solutions.Herein,using Ti-Mo alloys as representative,we used our cluster-plus-glue-atom model to address the chemical short-range orders for body-center cubic lattice.In accordance with the atomic interaction mode,an Mo solute atom would prefer 14 Ti solvent atoms as its nearest neighbors,forming a rhombic-dodecahedral cluster,and some next outer-shell Mo and Ti atoms would serve as the glue atoms,which is formulated as [Mo-Ti14](Mo,Ti)x.The number of glue atoms x corresponds to different spatial distribution of the clusters.One of the formula having good stability is [Mo-Ti14]Mo,i.e.,with one Mo as the glue atom.To verify its stability,mechanical properties and electronic density of state are obtained using the first-principles calculations and the Young’s modulus agrees with the experimental values.Also the formulated structural unit [Mo-Ti14]Mo is indeed verified by the cluster expansion method.This work then confirms the existence of simple structural unit covering the nearest neighbors and a few next outershell atoms for the Ti-Mo alloy of high structural stability.Fushi Jiang Chang Pang Zhaoyang Zheng Qing Wang Jijun Zhao Chuang Dong 2020Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2020,33,7:0
18Cell-scaffold interactions in tissue engineering for oral and craniofacial reconstruction显示文摘Tissue engineering(TE)is critical in oral and craniofacial reconstruction.One of the most popular topics on the biomaterial-based tissue regeneration process may be the interaction between cells and scaffolds.An increasing number of studies have identified the variables affecting cell-scaffold interaction.The creation and investigation of new scaffolds for TE and regenerative medicine based on specific interactions have become possible owing to these findings.This review discusses the effects of various types of scaffold materials on cells in TE.Because the intrinsic properties of scaffolds are essential,the influence of the physical,chemical,mechanical,and biological characteristics of scaffold materials on cell-scaffold interaction that has been discovered in recent research is elaborated in this review.The components carried by scaffolds,the degradation process,and the role of degraded products in cell-scaffold interactions are examined.Further,the roles of cells,including cell types,functions,and adhesion mechanisms,and extracellular matrix are discussed.Finally,the latest research progress on cell-scaffold interactions among various engineered tissues or organs in the oral and craniofacial region is summarized.A deeper understanding of cell-scaffold interactions is anticipated to benefit the development of TE and regenerative medicine.Fushi Wang Xinjie Cai Ya Shen Liuyan Meng 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,5:0
19Novel azobenzene-phthalocyanine dyads——design of photo-modulated J-aggregation显示文摘Based on the J-aggregation mechanism of α-aryl/alkoxy-substituted zinc phthalocyanines(Pcs) in non-coordinating solvents, two novel azobenzene-phthalocyanine dyads (3-azo-ZnPc and 4-azo-ZnPc) were synthesized with the aim of developing Pc compounds whose ability to form J-aggregation could be photo-modulated. It was found that 3-azo-ZnPc in chloroform could be effectively photo-controlled in a wide range. This phenomenon could be explained by the changes in the geometry and dipole moment of azobenzene during the photo-isomerization process. 4-azo-ZnPc did not have this ability at all, with or without UV light illumination. 20Photo-driven molecular switch based on the photochromism and solvatochromism of diarylethene dialdehyde显示文摘The two distinct characters of diarylethene dialdehyde derivative-photochromism and solvatochrom- ism are displayed in particular circumstances. The fluorescence of phosphorus (III) tetrabenzotri- azacorrole can be reversibly regulated by the three kinds of status of the diarylethene dialdehyde, col- orless ring-opened form, red ring-closed form, and blue ring-closed form, which is gated by visible light, ultraviolet light and ethanol individually or jointly.
