1Cadmium accumulation and tolerance of two castor cultivars in relation to antioxidant systems显示文摘To investigate the effects of Cd on tolerance and antioxidant activities of castor, two different castor(Ricinus communis L.) cultivars(Zibo No. 5 and Zibo No. 8) were used for a hydroponic experiment(0, 1 and 2 mg/L Cd) and a pot experiment using Cd-contaminated soil(34 mg/kg) with the addition of ethylenedinitrilotetraacetic acid(EDTA). The results indicated that there were significant differences between the two cultivars with respect to Cd uptake in shoots(113–248 mg/kg for Zibo No. 5 and 130–288 mg/kg Zibo No. 8), biomass tolerance indexes(64.9%–74.6% for Zibo No. 5 and 80.1%–90.9% for Zibo No. 8) in the hydroponic experiment and survival rates(0% for Zibo No. 5 and 100% for Zibo No. 8)determined by the addition of EDTA in the pot experiment, suggesting that Zibo No. 8 has higher tolerance than Zibo No. 5. Moreover, the castor cultivars have low bioconcentration factors(4.80% for Zibo No. 5 and 5.43% for Zibo No. 8) and low translocation factors(<1%).Consequently, Zibo No. 8 can participate in Cd phytostabilization in highly Cd-polluted areas. The results indicated that glutathione(GSH) as a non-enzymatic antioxidant, and antioxidant enzymes including superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase(CAT) and guaiacol peroxidase(GPX), were cultivar- and dose-dependent. 2Hybrid Phase-controlled Circuit Breaker with Switch System Used in the Railway Auto-passing Neutral Section with an Electric Load显示文摘Constrained by the characteristics of neutral sec- tions (NS) and traditional vacuum circuit breakers, previous phase-controlled strategies have a long power supply dead time, it is difficult to realize a continuous power supply to the auxiliary power system. The dead time can be reduced by using the ground automatic convert method, hybrid phase-controlled technologies can in theory completely eliminate inrush currents. In this paper, a new system based on hybrid phase-controlled switches is described and termed ground-switching passing neutral section system (GPNSS). The principle for restraining inrush currents is analyzed and strategies are carried out with the dead time limited to 5 ms. The characteristics of the vacuum circuit breaker are illustrated and the closing time window of the transformer is quantified. Through the use of mechanical switches and power electronics, the auxiliary power system may be continuously pow- ered. 3Comparison of three remotely sensed drought indices for assessing the impact of drought on winter wheat yield显示文摘Agricultural drought threatens food security.Numerous remote-sensing drought indices have been developed,but their different principles,assumptions and physical quantities make it necessary to compare their suitability for drought monitoring over large areas.Here,we analyzed the performance of three typical remote sensing-based drought indices for monitoring agricultural drought in two major agricultural production regions in Shaanxi and Henan provinces,northern China(predominantly rain-fed and irrigated agriculture,respectively):vegetation health index(VHI),temperature vegetation dryness index(TVDI)and drought severity index(DSI).We compared the agreement between these indices and the standardized precipitation index(SPI),soil moisture,winter wheat yield and National Meteorological Drought Monitoring(NMDM)maps.On average,DSI outperformed the other indices,with stronger correlations with SPI and soil moisture.DSI also corresponded better with soil moisture and NMDM maps.The jointing and grain-filling stages of winter wheat are more sensitive to water stress,indicating that winter wheat required more water during these stages.Moreover,the correlations between the drought indices and SPI,soil moisture,and winter wheat yield were generally stronger in Shaanxi province than in Henan province,suggesting that remote-sensing drought indices provide more accurate predictions of the impacts of drought in predominantly rain-fed agricultural areas.Jianxi Huang Wen Zhuo Ying Li Ran Huang Fernando Sedano Wei Su Jinwei Dong Liyan Tian Yanbo Huang Dehai Zhu Xiaodong Zhang 2020International Journal of Digital Earth2020,13,4:4
4Change of Ecological Footprint and Analysis of Ecological Sustainability——Taking Zhangjiakou City as an Example显示文摘This paper researches the ecological sustainability of Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, China, using the ecological footprint model. According to the study we find that Zhangjiakou City was in the situation of ecological deficit from 1990 to 2000 and the deficit had the enlarging tendency. In 1990 the per capita ecological footprint was 0.964 and the per capita ecological capacity was 0.518, thus it can be calculated that the per capita ecological deficit was –0.446. However in 2000, the per capita ecological footprint increased to 1.068, at the same time the per capita eco- logical capacity decreased to 0.471, then the per capita ecological deficit in 2000 was –0.597. Furthermore, this paper studies the ecological sustainability of the city from the changes of the ecological footprint of per 10,000 yuan GDP and the productivity of ecological system. 12Erythrocytic α-Synuclein as a potential biomarker for Parkinson’s disease显示文摘Background:Erythrocytes are a major source of peripheralα-synuclein(α-Syn).The goal of the current investigation is to evaluate erythrocytic total,oligomeric/aggregated,and phosphorylatedα-Syn species as biomarkers of Parkinson’s disease(PD).PD and healthy control blood samples were collected along with extensive clinical history to determine whether total,phosphorylated,or aggregatedα-Syn derived from erythrocytes(the major source of bloodα-Syn)are more promising and consistent biomarkers for PD than are freeα-Syn species in serum or plasma.Methods:Using newly developed electrochemiluminescence assays,concentrations of erythrocytic total,aggregated and phosphorylated at Ser129(pS129)α-Syn,separated into membrane and cytosolic components,were measured in 225 PD patients and 133 healthy controls and analyzed with extensive clinical measures.Results:The total and aggregatedα-Syn levels were significantly higher in the membrane fraction of PD patients compared to healthy controls,but without alterations in the cytosolic component.The pS129 level was remarkably higher in PD subjects than in controls in the cytosolic fraction,and to a lesser extent,higher in the membrane fraction.Combining age,erythrocytic membrane aggregatedα-Syn,and cytosolic pS129 levels,a model generated by using logistic regression analysis was able to discriminate patients with PD from neurologically normal controls,with a sensitivity and a specificity of 72 and 68%,respectively.Conclusions:These results suggest that total,aggregated and phosphorylatedα-Syn levels are altered in PD erythrocytes and peripheral erythrocyticα-Syn is a potential PD biomarker that needs further validation.Chen Tian Genliang Liu Liyan Gao David Soltys Catherine Pan Tessandra Stewart Min Shi Zhiying Xie Na Liu Tao Feng Jing Zhang 2019Translational Neurodegeneration2019,8,1:1
13Petrogenesis of volcanic rocks from Eastern Manus Basin: indications in mineralogy and geochemistry显示文摘To understand the petrogenesis and magma evolution history in the Eastern Manus Basin(EMB),geochemistry of pyroxene and plagioclase mineral phenocrysts in basaltic andesites and dacites were reported.The plagioclase-melt thermometry showed that,plagioclase in dacites crystalized in 1027.2–1028.5°C under 3.37–5.08 kbar,whereas in basaltic andesite was 1181.4–1187.0°C under 1.79–4.46 kbar.Pyroxene compositions and invariable La/Sm vs La values of whole rock powders indicate that lavas were erupted in rapid cooling rate and mainly controlled by fractional crystallization(FC).In addition,oscillatory zonings in plagioclase and pyroxene phenocrysts indicated small local perturbations and degassing episodes in the magma chamber.Some high Mg#clinopyroxene antecrysts were found in EMB lavas.The highest Mg#of parental EMB melts is 69,which falls into the range of initial partial melts from upper mantle peridotite source(68–75).In terms of isotopic compositions,the EMB lavas most likely originated from Indian-type MORB mantle which was infl uenced by subduction components.In details,the subduction components are mainly derived from the dehydration of a subducted altered oceanic crust,and the contribution of sediment infl uence is minor.The Pb isotopic compositions and end member modeling further suggest that the source of subduction components is more likely from the Pacifi c Plate instead of the Solomon Plate.Xia ZHAO Liyan TIAN Jianhui SUN Peng HUANG Yan LI Yue GAO 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,1:0
14Identification of TAZ as the essential molecular switch in orchestrating SCLC phenotypic transition and metastasis显示文摘Small-cell lung cancer(SCLC)is a recalcitrant cancer characterized by high metastasis.However,the exact cell type contributing to metastasis remains elusive.Using a Rb1^(L/L)/Trp53^(L/L) mouse model,we identify the NCAM^(hi)CD44^(lo/–) subpopulation as the SCLC metastasizing cell(SMC),which is progressively transitioned from the non-metastasizing NCAM^(lo)CD44^(hi) cell(non-SMC).Integrative chromatin accessibility and gene expression profiling studies reveal the important role of the SWI/SNF complex,and knockout of its central component,Brg1,significantly inhibits such phenotypic transition and metastasis.Mechanistically,TAZ is silenced by the SWI/SNF complex during SCLC malignant progression,and its knockdown promotes SMC transition and metastasis.Importantly,ectopic TAZ expression reversely drives SMC-to-non-SMC transition and alleviates metastasis.Single-cell RNA-sequencing analyses identify SMC as the dominant subpopulation in human SCLC metastasis,and immunostaining data show a positive correlation between TAZ and patient prognosis.These data uncover high SCLC plasticity and identify TAZ as the key molecular switch in orchestrating SCLC phenotypic transition and metastasis.Yujuan Jin Qiqi Zhao Weikang Zhu Yan Feng Tian Xiao Peng Zhang Liyan Jiang Yingyong Hou Chenchen Guo Hsinyi Huang Yabin Chen Xinyuan Tong Jiayu Cao Fei Li Xueliang Zhu Jun Qin Dong Gao Xin-Yuan Liu Hua Zhang Luonan Chen Roman KThomas Kwok-Kin Wong Lei Zhang Yong Wang Liang Hu Hongbin Ji 2022National Science Review2022,9,7:0
15Petrology and geochemistry of serpentinized peridotites from Hahajima Seamount in Izu-Bonin forearc region显示文摘Serpentinites,which contain up to 13 wt%of water,are important reservoirs for chemical recycling in subduction zones.In the past two decades,forearc mantle serpentinites were identified in different locations around the world.Here,we present petrology and whole rock chemistry of ultramafic and mafic rocks dredged from the Hahajima Seamount,which is located 24–40 km west to the junction of the Izu-Bonin Trench and the Mariana Trench.Nearly all the collected samples are extensively hydrated,and olivine grains in ultramafic rocks are replaced by serpentine minerals,with only one sample preserving remaining trace of orthopyroxene.Our new results show that the Hahajima serpentinized peridotite samples are all MgO-rich(~42 wt%),but have low contents in Al2O3,CaO,rare earth and high field strength elements,which is consistent with the overall depleted character of their mantle protoliths.Model calculations indicate that these Hahajima peridotite samples were derived from 10%–25%partial melting of the presumed fertile mantle source,which is generally lower than those of peridotites from Torishima Forearc Seamount,Conical Seamount and South Chamorro Seamount(mostly>25%).All the serpentinites from these four forearc seamounts show strong enrichment in fluid-mobile and lithophile elements(Li,Sr,Pb and U).In details,Hahajima Seamount serpentinites do not have obvious enrichment in Cs and Rb,and display remarkably high abundances of U.These observations indicate that the serpentinization of Hahajima peridotites occurred by addition of seawater or low temperature seawater-derived hydrothermal fluid,without or with little contribution from slab-derived fluids.The geochemical signature of serpentinites from Hahajima Seamount could be interpreted as the result of the combination of extensive partial melting and subsequent percolation of seawater through the mantle wedge.Tuoyu Wu Liyan Tian Jinwei Gao Yanhui Dong 2019Acta Oceanologica Sinica2019,38,11:0

17An Investigation Into the Needs and Challenges of County-Level Family Education Guidance Services and Corresponding Improvement Measures显示文摘The delivery of targeted family education guidance services is essential for establishing a three-in-one education model that encompasses families,schools,and communities.It is also the key to creating a favorable educational environment that promotes the comprehensive and healthy development of individual students.To gain a comprehensive understanding of family education characteristics and trends in Chinese counties,accurately tap into the educational needs of parents,and effectively identify strengths and weaknesses in family education guidance services,this paper employed a quantitative research method based on a questionnaire survey and interview data from J district of C city after years of continuous monitoring of the quality of family education in the area,aiming to explore these issues and put forward several suggestions for improvement.The results indicate that the family learning environment and atmosphere in the district are generally favorable,while parental educational competence requires further improvement.Parents express a strong desire for interactive,systematic,and fragmented family education guidance from schools.Most parents acknowledge the significance of receiving guidance on family education,yet they are disinclined to actively engage in learning-related activities.While the operational mechanisms of county-level family education guidance services have been continuously improved,there is a need for greater overall coordination.Furthermore,the potential of school-led family education guidance services has yet to be fully tapped,and the scientific and professional standards of such guidance need to be further enhanced.Based on the aforementioned findings,we propose recommendations for improvement.Using J district’s effective improvement practices in management,curriculum,and teams as an example,we intend to explore practical ways to promote county-level family education guidance services and provide a valuable reference for the establishment of a comprehensive and effective system to improve such services.Deng Xiaobing Tian Liyan Ji Ping Yang Wei 2023Contemporary Social Sciences2023,8,3:0
