1Product Modular Design Incorporating Preventive Maintenance Issues显示文摘Traditional modular design methods lead to product maintenance problems, because the module form of a system is created according to either the function requirements or the manufacturing considerations. For solving these problems, a new modular design method is proposed with the considerations of not only the traditional function related attributes, but also the maintenance related ones. First, modularity parameters and modularity scenarios for product modularity are defined. Then the reliability and economic assessment models of product modularity strategies are formulated with the introduction of the effective working age of modules. A mathematical model used to evaluate the difference among the modules of the product so that the optimal module of the product can be established. After that, a multi-objective optimization problem based on metrics for preventive maintenance interval different degrees and preventive maintenance economics is formulated for modular optimization. Multi-objective GA is utilized to rapidly approximate the Pareto set of optimal modularity strategy trade-offs between preventive maintenance cost and preventive maintenance interval difference degree. Finally, a coordinate CNC boring machine is adopted to depict the process of product modularity. In addition, two factorial design experiments based on the modularity parameters are constructed and analyzed. These experiments investigate the impacts of these parameters on the optimal modularity strategies and the structure of module. 2Asymmetric Synthesis of Anti-tuberculosis-specific Drug TBAJ-876 through Synergistic Li/Li Catalysis显示文摘TBAJ-876, developed by TB Alliance, a novel anti-tuberculosis-specific drug, has entered Phase II clinical trials. Herein, the first asymmetric synthesis of TBAJ-876 has been realized using synergistic Li/Li catalysis with excellent yield of 95% and 88 : 12 er (99.6 : 0.4 er, 10 : 1 dr after simple recrystallization). Furthermore, DFT calculations and 7Li-NMR analysis illustrated the mechanism of the synergistic reaction: a chiral Li-complex activates the nucleophile to control the stereoselectivity, while the other achiral Li-complex activates the electrophile to catalyze the carbonyl addition reaction. 4Layout design and application of 4D-printing bio-inspired structures with programmable actuators显示文摘Four-dimensional(4D)printing is an advanced form of three-dimensional(3D)printing with controllable and programmable shape transformation over time.Actuators are used as a controlling factor with multi-stage shape recovery,with emerging opportunities to customize the mechanical properties of bio-inspired structures.The print pattern of shape memory polymer(SMP)fbers strongly afects the achievable resolution,and consequently infuences several other physical and mechanical properties of fabricated actuators.However,the deformations of bio-inspired structures due to actuator layout are more complex because of the presence of the coupling of multi-directional strain.In this study,the initial structure was designed from closed-shell behavior and divided into a general unit and actuator unit,the latter responsible for driving the transformation.Mutual stress confrontation between the actuator and the general unit was considered in the layout thermodynamic model,in order to eliminate the transformation produced by the uncontrolled shape memory behavior of the general unit.Three critical and efective strategies for the layout design of actuators were proposed and then applied to achieve the desired accurate deformation of 3D-printed bilayer structures.Finally,the proposed approach was validated and adopted for fabricating a complex shell-like gripper structure.Siyuan Zeng Yixiong Feng Yicong Gao Hao Zheng Jianrong Tan 2022Bio-Design and Manufacturing2022,5,1:1
5Asymmetric synthesis of bedaquiline based on bimetallic activation and non-covalent interaction promotion strategies显示文摘Bedaquiline(BDQ),approved by Food and Drug Administration(FDA)in 2012 as the first anti-tuberculosis-specific drug in the last 40 years,is viewed as one of the world’s most promising treatments for tuberculosis(TB).Due to the stereoselective construction of the Csp^(3)–Csp^(3)bond with vicinal stereocenters of BDQ and its analogues being an unsolved challenge,there have not been any reports concerning its asymmetric synthesis for the current industrial production process until now.Herein,we have successfully developed a cooperative bimetallic system for the asymmetric synthesis of BDQ under the guidance of density functional theory(DFT)computations.Based on the optimized conditions,BDQ could be synthesized with excellent enantioselectivity(>99%ee)and diastereoselectivity(16:1 dr).A 5-g scale reaction was also conducted with comparably excellent results,showing its potential for industrial application.Feng Gao Jing Li Tanveer Ahmad Yicong Luo Zhenfeng Zhang Qianjia Yuan Xiaohong Huo Tao Song Wanbin Zhang 2022Science China Chemistry2022,65,10:1
6Comparison of enhancement techniques based on neural networks for attenuated voice signal captured by flexible vibration sensors on throats显示文摘Wearable flexible sensors attached on the neck have been developed to measure the vibration of vocal cords during speech.However,highfrequency attenuation caused by the frequency response of the flexible sensors and absorption of high-frequency sound by the skin are obstacles to the practical application of these sensors in speech capture based on bone conduction.In this paper,speech enhancement techniques for enhancing the intelligibility of sensor signals are developed and compared.Four kinds of speech enhancement algorithms based on a fully connected neural network(FCNN),a long short-term memory(LSTM),a bidirectional long short-term memory(BLSTM),and a convolutional-recurrent neural network(CRNN)are adopted to enhance the sensor signals,and their performance after deployment on four kinds of edge and cloud platforms is also investigated.Experimental results show that the BLSTM performs best in improving speech quality,but is poorest with regard to hardware deployment.It improves short-time objective intelligibility(STOI)by 0.18 to nearly 0.80,which corresponds to a good intelligibility level,but it introduces latency as well as being a large model.The CRNN,which improves STOI to about 0.75,ranks second among the four neural networks.It is also the only model that is able to achieves real-time processing with all four hardware platforms,demonstrating its great potential for deployment on mobile platforms.To the best of our knowledge,this is one of the first trials to systematically and specifically develop processing techniques for bone-conduction speed signals captured by flexible sensors.The results demonstrate the possibility of realizing a wearable lightweight speech collection system based on flexible vibration sensors and real-time speech enhancement to compensate for high-frequency attenuation.Shenghan Gao Changyan Zheng Yicong Zhao Ziyue Wu Jiao Li Xian Huang 2022Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering2022,5,1:0

8MicroRNA–disease Network Analysis Repurposes Methotrexate for the Treatment of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm in Mice显示文摘Abdominal aortic aneurysm(AAA)is a permanent dilatation of the abdominal aorta and is highly lethal.The main purpose of the current study is to search for noninvasive medical therapies for AAA,for which there is currently no effective drug therapy.Network medicine represents a cuttingedge technology,as analysis and modeling of disease networks can provide critical clues regarding the etiology of specific diseases and therapeutics that may be effective.Here,we proposed a novel algorithm to quantify disease relations based on a large accumulated microRNA–disease association dataset and then built a disease network covering 15 disease classes and 304 diseases.Analysis revealed some patterns for these diseases.For instance,diseases tended to be clustered and coherent in the network.Surprisingly,we found that AAA showed the strongest similarity with rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus,both of which are autoimmune diseases,suggesting that AAA could be one type of autoimmune diseases in etiology.Based on this observation,we further hypothesized that drugs for autoimmune diseases could be repurposed for the prevention and therapy of AAA.Finally,animal experiments confirmed that methotrexate,a drug for autoimmune diseases,was able to alleviate the formation and development of AAA.Yicong Shen Yuanxu Gao Jiangcheng Shi Zhou Huang Rongbo Dai Yi Fu Yuan Zhou Wei Kong Qinghua Cui 2023Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,5:0
9Health assessment of plantations based on LiDAR canopy spatial structure parameters显示文摘The Yellow River Delta(YRD)has China's largest artificial Robinia pseudoacacia forest,which was planted in the late 1970s and suffered extensive dieback in the 1990s.The health grade of the R.pseudoacacia forest(named canopy vigor grade,CVG)could be achieved by using high-resolution images and canopy vigor indicators(CVIs).However,a previous study showed that there was no significant correlation between CVG and the field-estimated aboveground biomass(AGB)of R.pseudoacacia forest.Therefore,this study aims to construct forest health indicators(FHIs)based on canopy spatial structure parameters extracted from LiDAR.The FHIs included Weibull_α(the scale parameter of the Weibull density function that reflects the shape of the tree canopy),VCI(vertical complexity index),sdCC(the standard deviation of canopy cover),H99(the 99th percentile height)and cvLAD(the coefficient of variation of leaf area density),and could significantly distinguish three forest health grades(FHG)(p<0.05).The FHG was positively correlated with forest AGB(rs=0.51,p=0.004),and the similarity value with CVG was 63.33%.The results of this study confirmed that the FHIs can reflect both canopy vigor and tree productivity,and distinguish forest health status without prior classification information.Pengyu Meng Hong Wang Shuhong Qin Xiuneng Li Zhenglin Song Yicong Wang Yi Yang Jay Gao 2022International Journal of Digital Earth2022,15,1:0
