| 1 | First observation of thermospheric neutral wind at Chinese Yellow River Station in Ny-lesund, Svalbard显示文摘A compact and cost-effective all-sky Fabry-Perot interferometer, which is produced by Wuhan University and used for the observation of the thermospheric neutral wind, was installed at Chinese Yellow River Station in Nylesund, Svalbard in November 2010, and continuously operated in last two winter seasons. The 92-day all-sky interference data acquired from November 1, 2011 to February 26, 2012 were collected to get the velocity of thermospheric neutral wind, which was calculated from the Doppler shift caused by the movement of oxygen atom at the different layers. The database was divided into two periods: (1) The OI 557.7 nm emission was observed from November 1, 2011 to January 12, 2012. Observations showed that the velocity of horizontal wind is normally less than ~40 m/s on the quiet condition, and exceeded 100 m/s on the disturbed condition; and (2) the OI 630.0 nm emission was observed from January 13, 2012 to February 26, 2012. Observations showed that the velocity of horizontal wind is normally less than ~200 m/s, and enhanced to over 300 m/s on strong magnetic activities. It shows that the velocities of meridional and zonal wind are more consistent with the velocities calculated from the model HWM07 at the higher layer, especially for the zonal direction at nightside auroral regions. | 2 | Additively manufactured biodegradable porous magnesium implants for elimination of implant-related infections:An in vitro and in vivo study显示文摘Magnesium(Mg)alloys that have both antibacterial and osteogenic properties are suitable candidates for orthopedic implants.However,the fabrication of ideal Mg implants suitable for bone repair remains challenging because it requires implants with interconnected pore structures and personalized geometric shapes.In this study,we fabricated a porous 3D-printed Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr(denoted as JDBM)implant with suitable mechanical properties using selective laser melting technology.The 3D-printed JDBM implant exhibited cytocompatibility in MC3T3-E1 and RAW267.4 cells and excellent osteoinductivity in vitro.Furthermore,the implant demonstrated excellent antibacterial ratios of 90.0% and 92.1% for methicillin-resistant S.aureus(MRSA)and Escherichia coli,respectively.The 3D-printed JDBM implant prevented MRSA-induced implant-related infection in a rabbit model and showed good in vivo biocompatibility based on the results of histological evaluation,blood tests,and Mg2+deposition detection.In addition,enhanced inflammatory response and TNF-α secretion were observed at the bone-implant interface of the 3D-printed JDBM implants during the early implantation stage.The high Mg^(2+)environment produced by the degradation of 3D-printed JDBM implants could promote M1 phenotype of macrophages(Tnf,iNOS,Ccl3,Ccl4,Ccl5,Cxcl10,and Cxcl2),and enhance the phagocytic ability of macrophages.The enhanced immunoregulatory effect generated by relatively fast Mg^(2+)release and implant degradation during the early implantation stage is a potential antibacterial mechanism of Mg-based implant.Our findings indicate that 3D-printed porous JDBM implants,having both antibacterial property and osteoinductivity,hold potential for future orthopedic applications. | Kai Xie Nanqing Wang Yu Guo Shuang Zhao Jia Tan Lei Wang Guoyuan Li Junxiang Wu Yangzi Yang Wenyu Xu Juan Chen Wenbo Jiang Penghuai Fu Yongqiang Hao | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,2: | 8 |

| 4 | Bicontinuous porous membranes with micro-nano composite structure using a facile atomization-assisted nonsolvent induced phase separation method显示文摘The micro-nano composite structure can endow separation membranes with special surface properties,but it often has the problems of inefficient preparation process and poor structural stability.In this work,a novel atomization-assisted nonsolvent induced phase separation method,which is also highly efficient and very simple,has been developed.By using this method,a bicontinuous porous microfiltration membrane with robust micro-nano composite structure was obtained via commercially available polymers of polyacrylonitrile and polyvinylpyrrolidone.The formation mechanism of the micro-nano composite structure was proposed.The microphase separation of polyacrylonitrile and polyvinylpyrrolidone components during the atomization pretreatment process and the hydrogen bonding between polyacrylonitrile and polyvinylpyrrolidone molecules should have resulted in the nano-protrusions on the membrane skeleton.The membrane exhibits superhydrophilicity in air and superoleophobicity underwater.The membrane can separate both surfactant-free and surfactant-stabilized oil-in-water emulsions with high separation efficiency and permeation flux.With excellent antifouling property and robust microstructure,the membrane can easily be recycled for long-term separation.Furthermore,the scale-up verification from laboratory preparation to continuous production has been achieved.The simple,efficient,cost-effective preparation method and excellent membrane properties indicate the great potential of the developed membranes in practical applications. | Jing Wang Guoyuan Pan Yu Li Yang Zhang Hongwei Shi Xuanbo Liu Hao Yu Muhua Zhao Yiqun Liu Changjiang Wu | 2022 | Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2022,16,8: | 2 |
| 5 | First scanning Fabry–Perot interferometer developed in China显示文摘A scanning Fabry–Perot interferometer(SFPI)was first developed and deployed at the Langfang near Space Environment Field Scientific Observation Station(39.38°N,116.65°E)of the National Space Science Center,CAS.The instrument is designed to measure the mesospheric and thermospheric wind velocities using the atomic oxygen 557.7-nm and 630.0-nm emissions.Data from February 28 to March 3and February 28 to March 15 in 2011 were chosen for case study and mean value study,respectively.The errors of the meridional and zonal winds are 6.5 and 7.5 m/s at 557.7-nm and at 630.0-nm,they are 7.1 and 6.6 m/s,respectively.During the whole experiment,the instrument has performed in good condition and provided high-quality data.The mean neutral wind data were consistent with that predicted by HWM07.Good agreement has been found in between the SFPI and a neighbor Meridian Project Fabry–Perot interferometer(MP FPI),with a corresponding coefficient(r2)larger than 80%.In general,the scanning FPI meets the design goal,and it is a useful ground-based instrument for measuring mesospheric and thermospheric winds at middle latitudes and is able to provide high-quality data for future scientific studies. | Guoyuan Hu Yong Ai Yange Zhang Hong Zhang Jue Liu | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,5: | 2 |

| 7 | Cloud Detection and Centroid Extraction of Laser Footprint Image of GF-7 Satellite Laser Altimetry显示文摘The laser altimeter loaded on the GaoFen-7(GF-7)satellite is designed to record the full waveform data and footprint image,which can obtain high-precision elevation control points for stereo image.The footprint camera equipped on the GF-7 laser altimetry system can capture the energy distribution at the time of laser emission and the image of the ground object where the laser falls,which can be used to judge whether the laser is affected by the cloud.At the same time,the centroid of laser spot on the footprint image can be extracted to monitor the change of laser pointing stability.In this manuscript,a data quality analysis scheme of laser altimetry based on footprint image is presented.Firstly,the cloud detection of footprint image is realized based on deep learning.The fusion result of the model is about 5%better than that of the traditional cloud detection algorithm,which can quickly and accurately determine whether the laser spot is affected by cloud.Secondly,according to the characteristics of footprint image,a threshold constrained ellipse fitting method for extracting the centroid of laser spot is proposed to monitor the pointing stability of long-period lasers.Based on the above method,the change of laser spot centroid since GF-7 satellite was put into operation is analyzed,and the conclusions obtained have certain reference significance for the quality control of satellite laser altimetry data and the analysis of pointing angle stability. | Jiaqi YAO Guoyuan LI Jiyi CHEN Genghua HUANG Xiongdan YANG Shuaitai ZHANG | 2021 | Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2021,4,3: | 2 |

| 17 | Chinese herbal medicine and COVID-19: quality evaluation of clinical guidelines and expert consensus and analysis of key recommendations显示文摘Objective:To systematically review the clinical practice guidelines(CPGs)for the treatment of patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)using Chinese herbal medicine(CHM),assess the methodological quality as well as clinical credibility and implementability of specific recommendations,and summarize key recommendations.Methods:As of April 2022,we conducted a comprehensive search on major electronic databases,guideline websites,academic society websites,and government websites to assess the methodological quality and clinical applicability of the included CPGs using the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation(AGREE)II tool and Evaluation-Recommendations EXcellence(AGREE-REX)instructions,respectively.Results:The search yielded 61 CPGs,which were mostly published in 2020;moreover,98.4%of the CPGs were published in China.Only five CPGs achieved a high-quality AGREE II rating;further,six CPGs could be directly recommended,with most of the CPGs still showing much room for improvement.CPGs had a low overall score in the AGREE-REX evaluation,with the domains of clinical applicability,values and preferences,and implementability being standardized in 21.80%±12.56%,16.00%±11.81%,and 31.33%±14.55%of the CPGs,respectively.Five high-quality CPGs mentioned 56 Chinese herbal formulas.Half of the recommendations had moderate or strong evidence level in the GRADE evaluation.The most frequently recommended herbal medicines were Lianhua Qingwen granule/capsule and Jinhua Qinggan granule;however,the strength of recommendation for each prescription varied across CPGs and populations.Conclusions:The overall quality of current CPGs for COVID-19 for CHM still needs to be improved;moreover,the strength of the evidence remains to be standardized across CPGs. | Qingyong Zheng Ya Gao Lu Xiong Hengyi Huang Junfen Li Guoyuan OuYang WulayinSaimire Jingjing Yang Yu Zhang Xiaopeng Wang Xiaofeng Luo | 2022 | Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine2022,2,3: | 0 |
