1己酮可可碱对肺结节病患者肺泡巨噬细胞释放细胞因子的作用显示文摘目的 研究己酮可可碱 (POF)对肺结节病患者肺泡巨噬细胞 (AM)产生细胞因子的作用 ,并与地塞米松 (DEX)的作用相比较。方法 收集 1 4例活动期肺结节病患者的AM ,以 1 0 %RPMI为培养液 (含有 1 0 %热灭活胎牛血清、2mmol/LL 谷氨酰胺、2 0 0kU/L青霉素及 2 0 0mg/L链霉素 ) ;或1 0 %RPMI加内毒素 (LPS ,1 0 0 μg/L) ;或分别加入浓度为 0 0 1mmol/L、0 1mmol/L和1mmol/L的POF ;或加入 0 1mmol/LDEX进行AM培养 2 4h。用酶联免疫吸附 (ELISA)法测定培养上清液中细胞因子含量。结果 POF对结节病患者AM自发释放的肿瘤坏死因子α(TNF α)有剂量依赖性抑制作用 (P <0 0 0 1 ) ,而对其他自发释放的细胞因子无影响。 0 1mmol/LDEX抑制自发释放的TNF α、可溶性肿瘤坏死因子受体 (sTNFR 2 )、白细胞介素 (IL) 1 β和IL 1 0 (P <0 0 0 1或 <0 0 5 或 <0 0 1 )。除sTNFR 1外 ,POF亦抑制这些由LPS刺激的AM释放的细胞因子 (P <0 0 5或 <0 0 0 1 )。与POF相似 ,0 1mmol/LDEX同样抑制这些LPS刺激的细胞因子释放 (P <0 0 5或 <0 0 0 1 ) ,但对sTNFR 1和IL 1 β无影响。 结论 与DEX相比 ,POF有更宽的治疗窗。用在结节病治疗上可以减少皮质激素用量或可将其替代。童朝辉 代华平 陈宝敏 王辰 Josune Guzman Ulrich Costabel 2003中华结核和呼吸杂志2003,26,7:9
2Stem cell treatment and cerebral palsy: Systemic review and meta-analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND Perinatal complications may result in life-long morbidities,among which cerebral palsy(CP)is the most severe motor disability.Once developed,CP is a nonprogressive disease with a prevalence of 1-2 per 1000 live births in developed countries.It demands an extensive and multidisciplinary care.Therefore,it is a challenge for our health system and a burden for patients and their families.Recently,stem cell therapy emerged as a promising treatment option and raised hope in patients and their families.AIM The aim is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of stem cell treatment in children with CP using a systematic review and meta-analysis METHODS We performed a systematic literature search on PubMed and EMBASE to find randomized controlled clinical trials(RCT)investigating the effect of stem cell transplantation in children with CP.After the review,we performed a randomeffects meta-analysis focusing on the change in gross motor function,which was quantified using the gross motor function measure.We calculated the pooled standardized mean differences of the 6-and/or 12-mo-outcome by the method of Cohen.We quantified the heterogeneity using the I-squared measure.RESULTS We identified a total of 8 RCT for a qualitative review.From the initially selected trials,5 met the criteria and were included in the meta-analysis.Patients’population ranged from 0.5 up to 35 years(n=282).We detected a significant improvement in the gross motor function with a pooled standard mean difference of 0.95(95%confidence interval:0.13-1.76)favoring the stem cell group and a high heterogeneity(I2=90.1%).Serious adverse events were rare and equally distributed among both intervention and control groups.CONCLUSION Stem cell therapy for CP compared with symptomatic standard care only,shows a significant positive effect on the gross motor function,although the magnitude of the improvement is limited.Short-term safety is present and further highquality RCTs are needed.Simone Eggenberger Céline Boucard Andreina Schoeberlein Raphael Guzman Andreas Limacher Daniel Surbek Martin Mueller 2019World Journal of Stem Cells2019,11,10:8

7Morphological Characterization and Hydrodynamic Behavior of Shortfin Mako Shark(Isurus oxyrinchus)Dorsal Fin Denticles显示文摘The shortfin mako shark(Isurus oxyrinchus)is one of the fastest marine fishes,reaching speeds of up to 70 km·h^-1.Their speed is related to the skin surface design composed of dermal denticles.Denticles vary in size and shape according to placement on the body and minimize turbulence around the body.The objective of this study is to analyze the interaction between seawater flow and denticles on the dorsal fin.High-resolution microscopy(scanning electron microscopy and confocal microscopy)were used to measure defined parts of the dermal denticles.These measurements,along with ratios based on length-to-width define three morphologies(rounded,semi-rounded,long)that were 3D reconstructed.Computational fluid dynamics simulated fluid passage over reconstructed denticles and describe hy-drodynamic efficiency under different conditions.An increase in angle of inclination produced a relevant increase in the drag coefficient,especially for high velocity inlets.The lowest drag coefficient values were found in long and semi-rounded,followed by rounded mor-phologies.The hydrodynamic behavior of shark skin demonstrates a relation to the morphological characteristics of dermal denticles on the dorsal fin.It is concluded that the best hydroefficiency relies on the rounded morphology and may serve to design hydrodynamically efficient surfaces or manmade assemblies.Fernandez-Waid Patricia Diez Guzman Bidaguren Inigo Izagirre Urtzi Blanco Jesus Maria Soto Manu 2019Journal of Bionic Engineering2019,16,4:3
8Ambient air quality and the risk for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease among Metro Manila Development Authority traffic enforcers in Metro Manila:An exploratory study显示文摘Background::Air pollution and poor ambient air quality are significantly related to multiple health risks.One associated disease is chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD),a preventable disease with several contributing factors and one of the leading causes of morbidity/mortality locally and globally.A potentially high-risk population are traffic enforcers who are constantly exposed to air pollution.In the Philippines,the MMDA has the widest coverage in traffic management.The study determined the risk of COPD among Metro Manila Development Authority(MMDA)traffic enforcers in relation to ambient air quality level,as well as identified other factors that increase the risk of developing COPD.Methods::Fifty-two MMDA traffic enforcers deployed in PM 2.5 air quality sensor areas in Metro Manila from 2016 to 2018 were recruited through stratified sampling.The International Primary Airways Guidelines(IPAG)questionnaire was utilized to measure risk of COPD.Respiratory health and working history were obtained through questionnaires.Department of environment and natural resources provided PM 2.5 ambient air quality data which aided in the construction of the Exposure-Month Index.Ordinal logistic regression was used to examine the association of PM 2.5 together with the relevant factors and the risk of COPD.Results::We found statistically significant associations between PM 2.5 and COPD among high risk category[odds risk(OR):1.24,95%confidence interval(CI):1.07-1.44].Age(Moderate,OR:1.16,95%CI:0.98-1.38 and High,OR:10.06,95%CI:4.02-25.17)and chest pain(Moderate,OR:68.65,95%CI:1.71-2.75×103)were potential risk factors,whereas body mass index(BMI)(OR:0.05,95%CI:0.01-0.53)exhibited protective effect.Conclusions::Exposure to PM 2.5 was associated with an increased risk of COPD among high-risk category MMDA traffic enforcers.Age and chest pain were potential risk factors to risk of COPD,whereas BMI exhibited a potential protective effect.Results of this study can be used for clinical management of high-risk populations,such that of MMDA traffic enforcers.Xerxes Seposo Audrey Lynn A.Arcilla Jose Guillermo N.De Guzman III Enrico Miguel S.Dizon Andrea Nova R.Figuracion Christina Micaela M.Morales Pauleena Katriona A.Tugonon Geminn Louis C.Apostol 2021Chronic Diseases and Translational Medicine2021,7,2:3

17Comparison between hepaticojejunostomy and hepaticoduodenostomy after excision of choledochal cyst in children:a cohort study显示文摘Objective Hepaticojejunostomy(HJ)and hepaticoduodenostomy(HD)are commonly used biliary reconstruction techniques after choledochal cyst excision.HD has been suggested to be a more physiologic alternative during reconstruction.The objective of this study is to compare operative time,hospital stay,morbidity(leak,cholangitis,ileus,and obstruction),and mortality between HJ and HD after cyst excision.Methods This is a 14-year retrospective cohort study of pediatric patients(≤18 years old)who underwent choledochal cyst excision and subsequent biliary reconstruction at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center.Data were taken from inpatient charts,operative technique,OPD logbook,readmission,and OPD charts.results There were 122 patients:56%HD and 44%HJ.Majority were female(72%),with 1:2.6 male to female ratio.The average age was 36.1 months,with a mean follow-up of 32.8 months(range 6 months-14 years).The most common cyst was type I(87%).Operative time was longer for HJ compared with HD(321.3 vs 203.6 min;p=0.000).Hospital stay was longer with HJ compared with HD(7.7 vs 6.8 days;p=0.002).Mortality rate was low at 1.6%while morbidity was at 13.9%in both groups.Although morbidity was higher among those who underwent HD,there was no significant difference between the two procedures.Anastomotic leak(4%)and cholangitis(7.4%)were observed in HD,and ileus(7.4%)was observed in the HJ group.Conclusions In our series,HD provided less operative time and hospital stay than with HJ.We did not observe bile gastritis after HD as compared with others.It is suggested that longer follow-up is needed to confirm such findings.Johann Paulo Suico Guzman Leandro L Resurreccion III Marcus Lester R Suntay Renato G Bernaldez 2019World Journal of Pediatric Surgery2019,2,2:2

20Development and test verification of air temperature model for Chinese solar and Spainish Almeria-type greenhouses显示文摘Growth can be defined as an increment in biomass or an increment in weight or height of the organs of the plant influenced by physiological processes.Many of these processes have their limits genetically determined,but climate and irrigation play an important role.Because of its importance,microclimate has been extensively studied in the modeling as a surrounding condition which is imposed by the exterior climate.The main objective of this work was to develop a temperature model based on the energy balance dynamics at two different greenhouse locations-South-eastern Spain and Northern China,and the traditional structures of Chinese solar greenhouse and Almería-type multi-span greenhouse were taken into account.The final model was developed by combining the external conditions,the actuator influence and the crop growth,where the temperature is influenced by soil,crop,cover,actuators,back wall and greenhouse geometry.The model took into account the energy lost by convective and conductive fluxes,as well as the energy supplied by solar radiation and heating systems.The soil and the back wall are the main media for energy storage.The temperature dynamic was determined by a physical model,which considered the energy balance from a holistic point of view-as a sub-model for a customizable interface among the external climate,the plant and the greenhouse system.The influences of different subsystems included in the temperature model were analyzed and evaluated.The results showed a high R^(2)value of 0.94 for Beijing and 0.95 for Almeria,and the average error was low,of which the MAE and RMSE were 0.71 and 1.365 for Almeria and 0.62 and 1.102 for Beijing,respectively.Thus,the model can be considered as a powerful tool for control design purposes in microclimate systems.Jorge Antonio Sanchez-Molina Li Ming Francisco Rodriguez Jose Luis Guzman Wang Hui Yang Xinting 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,4:2
