2Preparation and Characterization of Palladium Colloidal Nanoparticles by Thermal Decomposition of Palladium Acetate with Microwave Irradiation显示文摘A series of solvent-stabilized palladium colloidal nanoparticles were prepared via thermal decomposition of palladium acetate methylisobutylketone (MIBK) solution in the presence of alkali and alcohol with microwave irradiation. The colloidal nanoparticles were characterized with TEM, XPS and XRD. The average diameters of nanoparticles increase from 30 to 40 nm with the increase in concentration of palladium acetate. TEM and XRD observation demonstrated that the palladium colloidal nanoparticles were clusters agglomerated from hundreds of smaller palladium crystallines with size of 3~4 nm. 3Laparoscopic abdomino-perineal resection for patients with anorectal malignant melanoma:a report of 4 cases显示文摘Anorectal malignant melanoma is a very rare but lethal disease.Patients with anorectal malignant melanoma commonly complain for changes in bowel habits and rectal bleeding.Therefore,anorectal malignant melanoma is often misdiagnosed as hemorrhoids,polyp or rectal cancer.Surgery is the mainstay of treatment for patients with anorectal malignant melanoma.However,whether abdominoperineal resection or wide local excision is the most appropriate surgical approach is still a controversial issue.Recently,with the great development of laparoscopic techniques,more and more operations can be performed by laparoscopic techniques.However,laparoscopic abdominoperineal resection for management of anorectal malignant melanoma has been rarely reported.In this study,we reported 4 patients with anorectal malignant melanoma underwent laparoscopic abdominoperineal resection.The outcomes of these patients were relatively good during a long time follow-up.Meanwhile,we reviewed the relevant studies with particular focus surgical treatment.Jun Han Chuanbing Shi Xiaogang Dong Jie Wang Hao Wen Baolin Wang Zhenyu He 2016The Journal of Biomedical Research2016,30,5:3
4Qualitative and quantitative analyses of influenza virus receptors in trachea and lung tissues of humans,mice,chickens and ducks显示文摘To accurately determine the expression and distribution patterns of two influenza virus receptors(SA 2,3-gal and SA 2,6-gal) in trachea and lung tissues of humans,mice,chickens and ducks,we analyzed lectin immunofluorescence stainings of various tissue sections qualitatively and quantitatively.Results from the qualitative analysis showed that both influenza virus receptors were expressed in lung tissues of humans,mice,chickens and ducks as well as trachea tissues of mice and ducks.However,SA 2,6-gal receptor was expressed only in the human trachea tissue and SA 2,3-gal receptor was expressed only in the chicken trachea tissue.Results from the quantitative analysis demonstrated that both receptors were expressed in trachea tissues of human and mouse,as well as in lung tissues of humans,chickens and ducks.Meanwhile,our results also showed that the expression and distribution of influenza virus receptors in the same tissue were not always uniform,indicating that their distribution and expression in various tissues are not simply the distinction between the presence or absence of receptors,but rather the difference in the amount of expressed receptors.WANG BaoLin LIU Bo CHEN Ling ZHANG JianYong HE HongXuan ZHANG Hong 2012Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,7:2

6Injectable Self‑Healing Adhesive pH‑Responsive Hydrogels Accelerate Gastric Hemostasis and Wound Healing显示文摘Endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR)and endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)are well-established therapeutics for gastrointestinal neoplasias,but complications after EMR/ESD,including bleeding and perforation,result in additional treatment morbidity and even threaten the lives of patients.Thus,designing biomaterials to treat gastric bleeding and wound healing after endoscopic treatment is highly desired and remains a challenge.Herein,a series of injectable pH-responsive selfhealing adhesive hydrogels based on acryloyl-6-aminocaproic acid(AA)and AA-g-N-hydroxysuccinimide(AA-NHS)were developed,and their great potential as endoscopic sprayable bioadhesive materials to efficiently stop hemorrhage and promote the wound healing process was further demonstrated in a swine gastric hemorrhage/wound model.The hydrogels showed a suitable gelation time,an autonomous and efficient self-healing capacity,hemostatic properties,and good biocompatibility.With the introduction of AA-NHS as a micro-cross-linker,the hydrogels exhibited enhanced adhesive strength.A swine gastric hemorrhage in vivo model demonstrated that the hydrogels showed good hemostatic performance by stopping acute arterial bleeding and preventing delayed bleeding.A gastric wound model indicated that the hydrogels showed excellent treatment effects with significantly enhanced wound healing with type I collagen deposition,α-SMA expression,and blood vessel formation.These injectable self-healing adhesive hydrogels exhibited great potential to treat gastric wounds after endoscopic treatment.Jiahui He Zixi Zhang Yutong Yang Fenggang Ren Jipeng Li Shaojun Zhu Feng Ma Rongqian Wu Yi Lv Gang He Baolin Guo Dake Chu 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,5:1

13The potential of carcinoembryonic antigen,p53,Ki-67 and glutathion Stransferase-π as clinico-histopathological markers for colorectal cancer显示文摘Objective:Colorectal cancer is one of the major contributors to cancer death worldwide.Lack of reliable colorectal cancer markers has hampered the management of these cancer patients.Our main purpose was to study the correlation between histopathological variables of colorectal adenocarcinomas and identify histopathological markers that are of prognostic value in patients with colorectal cancer.Methods:In the present study,we examined the expression of carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),p53,Ki-67 and glutathion Stransferase(GST)-πby using immunohistochemical staining methods in 126 colorectal carcinoma patients and evaluated the lymph node metastasis status in these patients by histopathological examination.Results:The positive rates of CEA,p53, Ki-67 and GST-πexpression in the colorectal cancer tissue specimens examined were 95.23%,55.56%,53.38% and 82.30%,respectively.Expression of p53 and Ki-67 was significantly correlated with the Dukes stages of the tumor,with higher levels of these proteins in Dukes'C and D tumors than those in Dukes'A and B tumors. Furthermore,the expression of p53,GST-πand Ki-67 correlated with prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer. Additionally,the expression of p53 in colorectal cancer was closely related to the expression of Ki-67 and the expression of GST-πwas directly correlated with that of p53.Conclusion:The expression of CEA,p53,Ki-67 and GST-πwas correlated with various clinical features of patients with colorectal cancer.The combined use of these histopathological markers appeared to be a promising tool in predicting the prognosis of patients with this type of cancer.Zhenyu He Chuanbing Shi Hao Wen Fanglong Li Baolin Wang Jie Wang 2010The Journal of Biomedical Research2010,24,1:1

18Sand-mediated ice seeding enables serum-free low-cryoprotectant cryopreservation of human induced pluripotent stem cells显示文摘Human induced pluripotent stem cells(hiPSCs)possess tremendous potential for tissue regeneration and banking hiPSCs by cryopreservation for their ready availability is crucial to their widespread use.However,contemporary methods for hiPSC cryopreservation are associated with both limited cell survival and high concentration of toxic cryoprotectants and/or serum.The latter may cause spontaneous differentiation and/or introduce xenogeneic factors,which may compromise the quality of hiPSCs.Here,sand from nature is discovered to be capable of seeding ice above10◦C,which enables cryopreservation of hiPSCs with no serum,much-reduced cryoprotectant,and high cell survival.Furthermore,the cryopreserved hiPSCs retain high pluripotency and functions judged by their pluripotency marker expression,cell cycle analysis,and capability of differentiation into the three germ layers.This unique sand-mediated cryopreservation method may greatly facilitate the convenient and ready availability of high-quality hiPSCs and probably many other types of cells/tissues for the emerging cell-based translational medicine.Bin Jiang Weijie Li Samantha Stewart Wenquan Ou Baolin Liu Pierre Comizzoli Xiaoming He 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,12:1
19The difference of clinical characteristics of patients with COVID-19 in Fourth-tier city and Wuhan显示文摘Objective:This study mainly analyzed the clinical characteristics of patients with COVID-19 in Suining,one of China’s fourth-tier cities,and Wuhan and compared data between the 2 cities.Methods:A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 68 patients with COVID-19 diagnosed at Wuhan Red Cross Hospital and 17 patients diagnosed at Suining Central Hospital,was conducted.Results:Among the 68 patients with COVID-19 in Wuhan,30(44.1%)had hypertension,and 25(36.8%)had diabetes.Three out of the 17 patients in Suining(17.6%)had hypertension,and 2 patients(11.8%)had diabetes.In the clinical classification,there were 1(5.9%)and 23(33.8%)patients with severe COVID-19 in Suining and Wuhan,respectively.Chest CT showed that lung consolidation occurred in 2(11.8%)and 26(38.2%)patients with COVID-19 in Suining and Wuhan,respectively.The proportion of patients with diabetes or hypertension,severe COVID-19,lung consolidation in Wuhan was significantly higher than that in Suining.The laboratory tests suggested that percentage of elevated C-reactive protein(CRP)(58.8%),ALT(33.8%),blood glucose(45.6%),creatine kinase(CK)(33.8%)or D-dimer(47.1%)of patients in Wuhan were significantly increased than those in Suining(29.4%,5.9%,17.6%,5.9%,and 17.7%,respectively).Conclusion:The incidence of COVID-19 in fourth-tier city and the disease severity were significantly lower than that in Wuhan.Xiaojuan Wu Chaoping Wang Gaoyan He Baolin Jia Li Luo Xiaobin Luo 2021Infectious Diseases Research2021,2,3:0
