1Discovery of mantle and lower crust xenoliths from early Cretaceous volcanic rocks of southwestern Tianshan,Xinjiang显示文摘In Tuoyun area of southwestern Tianshan, mantle and lower crust xenoliths are present In the volcanic rocks with ages of 101-123 Ma. Mantle xenoliths include mineral megacrysts such as kaersutite and pargasite, feldspar, biotite, and rare pyroxene and rock fragments such as perodotite, pyroxenite, amphibolite, and rare glimmerite. Lower crust xenoliths are mainly banded and massive granulite. The volcanic rocks were produced by within-plate magmatism. Occurrence of hydrous and volatile mineral megacrysts, amphibolite, and some pyroxenite containing hydrous and volatile minerals indicates that mantle metasomatism was intense. 2Flame propagation characteristics and flame structures of zirconium particle cloud in a small-scale chamber显示文摘Flame propagating through zirconium particle cloud in a small-scale vertical rectangle chamber was investigated experimentally.In the experiments,the zirconium quoted 99% purity was used and the diameter of particles was distributed 1-22 μm.The zirconium dust was dispersed into the chamber by air flow and ignited by an electrode spark.A high-speed video camera was used to record the images of the propagating flame.Micro-thermocouples,schlieren optical system and microscopic lens were used to obtain temperature profiles and flame structure,respectively.Based on the experimental results,flame propagation characteristics and flame structure of zirconium particle cloud were analyzed.The propagation velocity of the flame is quite slow in the initial 14 ms and then accelerates to maximum value.Subsequently,the propagation velocity of the flame almost keeps constant.The combustion zone width of zirconium particle cloud is 5-6 mm.Smaller particles burn mainly at the leading edge of combustion zone in the width of 1.4 mm followed by larger particles burning 1.4-6 mm behind the leading edge of the combustion zone.Gas phase flame is not seen in zirconium particle cloud and the combustion time of single zirconium particle is 1-5 ms,which depends on its original size.The preheated zone is 7-8 mm thickness ahead of the combustion zone and intensive chemical reaction takes place at 490 K.The maximum flame temperature increases at lower concentrations,reaches the maximum value,and then decreases slightly at higher concentrations.DING YiBin SUN JinHua HE XueChao WANG QiuHong YIN Yi XU Yao Chen XianFeng 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,34:8

6Influence of opening ratios and directions of windows on natural smoke exhaust effect in atrium buildings显示文摘In this paper,the influence of different opening ratios and different opening directions of the windows on the natural smoke exhaust was studied through a series of real fire experiments and simulation analysis.Increasing the open area of the window could effectively improve the overall smoke exhaust effect.When the top windows were open and the opening ratio increased from 19.2%to 24.3%,the optical density was decreased by 12.4%.The average smoke exhaust rate per unit area of the window did not change significantly.Increasing the area of the natural smoke exhaust window could effectively increase the smoke exhaust rate and improve the overall effect of smoke extraction.When the top windows were open,the temperature rise on the top floor was 30.8%-47.5%lower while the visibility was 16.8%-21.9%higher than that when the side windows were open.Peng Wang Xiankun Wang Keheng Chen Hongyu Wei Qianhang Feng Yuanyi Xie Xuechao He Yanqiu Chen 2022Building Simulation2022,15,4:1

8Spatiotemporally resolved metabolomics and isotope tracing reveal CNS drug targets显示文摘Deconvolution of potential drug targets of the central nervous system(CNS)is particularly challenging because of the complicated structure and function of the brain.Here,a spatiotemporally resolved metabolomics and isotope tracing strategy was proposed and demonstrated to be powerful for deconvoluting and localizing potential targets of CNS drugs by using ambient mass spectrometry imaging.This strategy can map various substances including exogenous drugs,isotopically labeled metabolites,and various types of endogenous metabolites in the brain tissue sections to illustrate their microregional distribution pattern in the brain and locate drug action-related metabolic nodes and pathways.The strategy revealed that the sedative-hypnotic drug candidate YZG-331 was prominently distributed in the pineal gland and entered the thalamus and hypothalamus in relatively small amounts,and can increase glutamate decarboxylase activity to elevateγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)levels in the hypothalamus,agonize organic cation transporter 3 to release extracellular histamine into peripheral circulation.These findings emphasize the promising capability of spatiotemporally resolved metabolomics and isotope tracing to help elucidate the multiple targets and the mechanisms of action of CNS drugs.Bo Jin Xuechao Pang Qingce Zang Man Ga Jing Xu Zhigang Luo Ruiping Zhang Jiangong Shi Jiuming He Zeper Abliz 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,4:0
9Design and characterizing of robust probes for enhanced mass spectrometry imaging and spatially resolved metabolomics显示文摘As for the emerging and cut edge spatially resolved metabolomics,mass spectrometry imaging(MSI)is a powerful tool that can map thousands of metabolites from bio-tissue sections without chemical labels.However,the stability,sensitivity and spatial resolution of MSI are always limited by the performance of its ionization probe.Herein,two types of probes(fine probe(P-100)and large probe(P-200))were designed and characterized to perform air-flow assisted desorption electrospray ionization(AFA-DESI)MSI analysis for spatially resolved metabolomics.It was determined that the spray introduced by P-100 was homogenous and stable under the spray solvent at a flow rate of 5-10μL/min,while P-200 can endure a high flow rate of up to 10-30μL/min.Moreover,the MSI images were acquired by AFA-DESI-MSI with P-100 from rat brain tissue section and with P-200 from whole-body tissue section of mouse,and these results presented unambiguous tissue structure with the distribution information of numerous metabolites.Furthermore,the spatially resolved metabolomic analysis of tumor tissue was successfully realized to discover the tumor associated biomarkers.As the key parts of AFA-DESI-MSI system,it has been demonstrated that the designed probs have excellent performance for spatially resolved metabolomics,and it will further promote its application in life science,and drug research and development.Jianpeng Huang Shanshan Gao Kai Wang Jin Zhang Xuechao Pang Junwen Shi Jiuming He 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,5:0
