2Strip rotary tillage with subsoiling increases winter wheat yield by alleviating leaf senescence and increasing grain filling显示文摘Sustainable agriculture in the Huang–Huai–Hai Plain of China is threatened by subsoil compaction and the decline of winter wheat productivity induced by inappropriate tillage regimes. We investigated the effects of optimizing the tillage regime on grain filling and its relationship with flag leaf senescence post-anthesis in winter wheat. Four treatments were compared: rotary tillage, strip rotary tillage, strip rotary tillage with a 2-year subsoiling interval(STS), and conventional plowing tillage. STS produced higher chlorophyll content and leaf area indexes than other treatments, resulting in a greater photosynthetically active radiation capture ratio. The net photosynthesis rate of flag leaves from 14 to 28 days after anthesis and dry matter accumulation at maturity were higher in STS than in other treatments. Sucrose content and sucrose phosphate synthase activity of flag leaves first increased and then decreased during grain filling and were highest in STS. STS increased superoxide dismutase activity, increased soluble protein content, and reduced malondialdehyde concentrations in flag leaves after the middle grain-filling stages,resulting in reduced premature senescence. This consequence extended the active grain filling period and increased grain weight. The highest yields were observed in STS, reaching10,451 kg ha-1 in 2014–2015 and 10,074 kg ha-1 in 2015–2016, owing to increased spike numbers and 1000-kernel weight. 3The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. 4MAFLD was more easily diagnosed than NAFLD in liver transplant recipients with abnormal liver function显示文摘Background and aims:Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is hepatic steatosis that is require the exclusion of certain etiologies,including drug usage or alcoholic consumption.Conversely,metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)needs not to.In this study,we aimed to examine whether MAFLD is more easily diagnosed than NAFLD in liver transplant(LT)recipients with abnormal liver function.Methods:In this cross-sectional study,LT recipients with abnormal liver function were investigated for the prevalence of MAFLD and NAFLD.Results:We recruited 57 LT recipients with abnormal liver function at a referral hospital.Among these patients,the prevalence of MAFLD and NAFLD was 37.8%and 11.1%,respectively.17 patients showed hepatic steatosis,with an average NAFLD activity score of 3.5 and a fibrosis score of 1.0.Compared with non-MAFLD patients,MAFLD patients had a significant difference in fasting blood glucose levels(p?0.009).Among 17 MAFLD patients,12 were overweight and four were diagnosed with diabetes mellitus.The majority of MAFLD diagnoses were based on body mass index(70.6%)and diabetes mellitus history(23.5%),biomarkers that are easily obtained.At 6,12,24,and 36 months after LT,MAFLD patients had higher levels of fasting blood glucose(6 months:p?0.004,12 months:p?0.038)and higher trend of body mass index value and plasma triglyceride level but no significance.Conclusions:MAFLD was more easily diagnosed in LT recipients with abnormal liver function and higher in prevalence than NAFLD.A larger sample size research is required to validate these conclusions.Dali Zhang Hongbo Wang Xi He Danni Feng Yanling Sun Zhenwen Liu Yinjie Gao Hongling Liu 2022iLIVER2022,1,3:0
5Familial cerebral cavernous malformation Retrospective analysis of one Chinese pedigree显示文摘Cerebral cavernous malformation(CCM) is a frequently occurring disease in Latin American populations,but little is known about the prevalence in China.This study enrolled one Chinese family with CCM,comprising 16 members;four were diagnosed with CCM which corresponded with autosomal incomplete dominance inheritance.The main clinical manifestations included headache,focal neural dysfunction,and cerebral hemorrhage.The lesions were a mixture of hyperintensity and hypointensity signals on T1WI and T2WI,with a black hypointensity ring on T2WI.CCM cranial magnetic resonance imaging T2WI revealed an iron ring as a result of hemosiderin deposition.Pathological findings of CCM revealed tightly packed and variably thickened vascular channels lacking smooth muscle or elastic tissue.Intralesional hyalinosis,calcification,or bleeding of different phases and perilesional glial hyperplasia were observed,as well as hemosiderin deposition within or around the lesions.These features of this family were consistent with specific genetic,imaging and pathological features of familial CCM.Pathological characteristics reveal repeated hemorrhage,as well as intralesional and perilesional hemosiderin deposition.Jiangying Chen Zhenwen Yan Rui He Suping Zhang 2010Neural Regeneration Research2010,5,23:0
