1Epidemiological and risk analysis of the H7N9 subtype influenza outbreak in China at its early stage显示文摘Dozens of human cases infected with H7N9 subtype avian influenza virus (AIV) have been confirmed in China since March, 2013. Distribution data of sexes, ages, professions and regions of the cases were analyzed in this report. The results showed that the elderly cases, especially the male elderly, were significantly more than expected, which is different from human cases of H5N1 avian influenza and human cases of the pandemic H1N1 influenza. The outbreak was rated as a Grade Ⅲ (severe) outbreak, and it would evolve into a Grade IV (very severe) outbreak soon, using a method reported previously. The H7N9 AIV will probably circulate in humans, birds and pigs for years. Moreover, with the driving force of natural selection, the virus will probably evolve into highly pathogenic AIV in birds, and into a deadly pandemic influenza virus in humans. Therefore, the H7N9 outbreak has been assumed severe, and it is likely to become very or extremely severe in the future, highlighting the emergent need of forceful scientific measures to eliminate any infected animal flocks. 2^11C-PIBPET和^18F-FDGPET显像诊断阿尔茨海默病与遗忘型轻度认知损害的临床价值显示文摘目的应用11C-PIB PET和18F-FDG PET显像研究阿尔茨海默病和遗忘型轻度认知损害患者β-淀粉样蛋白(Aβ)沉积与葡萄糖代谢之间的关系,联合载脂蛋白E(ApoE)基因型进一步探讨遗忘型轻度认知损害与阿尔茨海默病的相关性。方法利用PET显像对阿尔茨海默病(14例)、遗忘型轻度认知损害(10例)和正常对照者(5例)脑组织Aβ沉积和葡萄糖代谢变化进行分析,采用聚合酶链反应-限制性片段长度多态性方法对ApoE基因型进行分析。结果阿尔茨海默病组患者11C-PIB标准化摄取比值在下顶叶、颞叶外侧、额叶、后扣带回皮质和楔前叶、枕叶和纹状体均高于正常对照组(P<0.05);遗忘型轻度认知损害组患者脑组织11C-PIB结合水平呈双峰形。11C-PIB+aMCI亚组与阿尔茨海默病组、11C-PIB-aMCI亚组与正常对照组之间11C-PIB标准化摄取比值差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05)。18F-FDG PET显像显示,3/5例11C-PIB+aMCI亚组患者双侧顶叶、颞叶和楔前叶代谢减低,其中2例ApoEε4等位基因携带者随访期间进展至阿尔茨海默病;3/5例11C-PIB-aMCI亚组患者双侧额叶和前扣带回代谢减低。结论11C-PIB PET显像是筛查具有阿尔茨海默病病理特点的遗忘型轻度认知损害患者的有效工具。具有阿尔茨海默病病理特征的遗忘型轻度认知损害患者可伴有顶叶、颞叶外侧皮质和楔前叶代谢减低,其中ApoEε4等位基因携带者更易进展至阿尔茨海默病痴呆。Shi Zhihong Wang Ying Liu Shuai Liu Shuling Z hou Yuying Wang Jinhuan Cai Li Gao Shuo Ji Yong 2014中国现代神经疾病杂志2014,14,3:8
3Macrophage-derived IL-1α promotes sterile inflammation in a mouse model of acetaminophen hepatotoxicity显示文摘The metabolic intermediate of acetaminophen(APAP)can cause severe hepatocyte necrosis,which triggers aberrant immune activation of liver non-parenchymal cells(NPC).Overzealous hepatic inflammation determines the morbidity and mortality of APAP-induced liver injury(AILI).Interleukin-1 receptor(IL-1R)signaling has been shown to play a critical role in various inflammatory conditions,but its precise role and underlying mechanism in AILI remain debatable.Herein,we show that NLRP3 inflammasome activation of IL-1βis dispensable to AILI,whereas IL-1α,the other ligand of IL-1R1,accounts for hepatic injury by a lethal dose of APAP.Furthermore,Kupffer cells function as a major source of activated IL-1αin the liver,which is activated by damaged hepatocytes through TLR4/MyD88 signaling.Finally,IL-1αis able to chemoattract and activate CD11b^(+)Gr-1^(+) myeloid cells,mostly neutrophils and inflammatory monocytes,to amplify deteriorated inflammation in the lesion.Therefore,this work identifies that MyD88-dependent activation of IL-1αin Kupffer cells plays a central role in the immunopathogenesis of AILI and implicates that IL-1αis a promising therapeutic target for AILI treatment.Chao Zhang Jin Feng Jun Du Zhiyong Zhuo Shuo Yang Weihong Zhang Weihong Wang Shengyuan Zhang Yoichiro Iwakura Guangxun Meng Yang-Xin Fu Baidong Hou Hong Tang 2018Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,11:7
4Activating interfacial S sites of MoS_(2) boosts hydrogen evolution electrocatalysis显示文摘The hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)of molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))is limited in alkaline and acid solution because the active sites are on the finite edge with extended basal plane remaining inert.Herein,we activated the interfacial S sites by coupling with Ru nanoparticles on the inert basal plane of MoS_(2)nanosheets.The density functional theory(DFT)calculation and experimental results show that the interfacial S electronic structure was modulated.And the results of∆G H*demonstrate that the adsorption of H on the MoS_(2)was also optimized.With the advantage of interfacial S sites activation,the Ru-MoS_(2)needs only overpotential of 110 and 98 mV to achieve 10 mA·cm^(–2)in both 0.5 M H_(2)SO_(4)and ^(1) M KOH solution,respectively.This strategy paves a new way for activating the basal plane of other transition metal sulfide electrocatalysts for improving the HER performance.Shuo Geng Fenyang Tian Menggang Li Yequn Liu Jie Sheng Weiwei Yang Yongsheng Yu Yanglong Hou 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:5
5Noise-like pulse generation from a thulium-doped fiber laser using nonlinear polarization rotation with different net anomalous dispersion显示文摘A mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser(TDFL) based on nonlinear polarization rotation(NPR) with different net anomalous dispersion is demonstrated. When the cavity dispersion is-1.425 ps^2, the noise-like(NL) pulse with coherence spike width of 406 fs and pulse energy of 12.342 nJ is generated at a center wavelength of 2003.2 nm with 3 dB spectral bandwidth of 23.20 nm. 6Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. 7Origin and future distribution of the new A (H1N1) influenza virus emerging in North America in 2009显示文摘The origin of the new A (H1N1) influenza virus recently emerging in North America is a hot controversial topic of significance in disease control and risk assessment.Some experts claimed that it was an unusually mongrelized mix of human,avian and swine influenza viruses,while some others concluded that it was totally a simple re-assortment hybrid of two lineages of swine influenza viruses.Here the phylogenetic diversity of the viral PB1,PA and PB2 gene sequences using online web servers,and the results suggest that all the 8 genetic segments of the new virus were possibly from two lineages of swine influenza viruses,and one of the lineage was a mongrelized mix of human,avian and swine influenza viruses emerging in the world approximately 10 years ago.Considering the recent epidemiological trends of the new virus,we believe it will spread more widely in the world and persist long in human populations.It also could spread among swine populations.The future wide spreading of the new virus may coincide the disappearance of a subtype of previous human influenza A virus.CHEN JiMing SUN YingXue LIU Shuo JIANG WenMing CHEN Jie HOU GuangYu LI JinPing 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,13:3
8Longitudinal Compression Behavior of Functionally Graded Ti–6Al–4V Meshes显示文摘The compressive deformation behavior in the longitudinal direction of graded Ti–6Al–4V meshes fabricated by electron beam melting was investigated using experiments and finite element methods(FEM).The results indicate that the overall strain along the longitudinal direction is the sum of the net strain carried by each uniform mesh constituent and the deformation behavior fits the Reuss model well. The layer thickness and the sectional area have no effect on the elastic modulus, whereas the strength increases with the sectional area due to the edge effect of each uniform mesh constituent. 9Increased substitution rate in H5N1 avian influenza viruses during mass vaccination of poultry显示文摘As a means of heated debate,mass vaccination of poultry has been used in some countries to control H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza(HPAI),which remains of global economic and public health significance.Theoretically,mass vaccination can act as an evolutionary selective force facilitating the emergence of vaccine-resistant viruses,similar to that widespread use of antibiotics facilitates the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.To support the hypothesis,the substitution rates in the two subunits,HA1 and HA2,of the viral hemagglutinin gene,were calculated using a Bayesian Markov Chain Monte Carlo(MCMC) approach.It was found that the rate in the HA1 subunit,but not in the HA2 subunit,increased significantly during periods of mass vaccination(2005 2010 in China and 2003 2009 in Indonesia),in contrast to the periods when no mass vaccination programs took place(1996 2004 in China and 2004 2008 in Thailand).Because substitutions in the HA1 subunit rather than in the HA2 subunit can lead to vaccine-resistant viruses,the results support that mass vaccination programs facilitate the emergence of vaccine-resistant viruses,which,in turn,will render mass vaccination programs less effective.Therefore,caution must be taken when adopting mass vaccination as a long-term strategy to control HPAI.WANG ZhaoGuo JIANG WenMing LIU Shuo HOU GuangYu LI JinPing WANG ZhiYu CHEN JiMing 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,19:3

17Study on catalytic mechanisms of Fe_(3)O_(4)-rGO_(x) in three typical advanced oxidation processes for tetracycline hydrochloride degradation显示文摘This study explored the catalytic mechanism and performance impacted by the materials ratio of Fe_(3)O_(4)-GO_(x) composites in three typical advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)of O_(3),peroxodisulfate(PDS)and photo-Fenton processes for tetracycline hydrochloride(TCH)degradation.The ratio of GO in the Fe_(3)O_(4)-GO_(x) composites exhibited different trends of degradation capacity in each AOPs based on different mechanisms.Fe_(3)O_(4)-rGO_(20wt%) exhibited the optimum catalytic performance which enhanced the ozone decomposition efficiency from 33.48%(ozone alone)to 51.83%with the major reactive oxygen species(ROS)of O_(2)·-.In PDS and photo-Fenton processes,Fe_(3)O_(4)-rGO_(5wt%) had the highest catalytic performance in PDS and H_(2)O_(2) decomposition for SO_(4)·–,and·OH generation,respectively.Compared with using PDS alone,PDS decomposition rate and TCH degradation rate could be increased by 5.97 and 1.73 times under Fe_(3)O_(4)-rGO_(5wt%) catalysis.In the photo-Fenton system,Fe_(3)O_(4)-rGO_(5wt%) with the best catalyst performance in H_(2)O_(2) decomposition,and TCH degradation rate increased by 2.02 times compared with blank group.Meantime,the catalytic mechanisms in those systems of that the ROS produced by conversion between Fe^(2+)/Fe^(3+)were also analyzed.Heshan Zheng Yunying Hou Shuo Li Jun Ma Jun Nan Nannan Wang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,1:1
