4Adsorptive removal of antibiotics from water using magneticion exchange resin显示文摘The occurrence of antibiotics in the environment has recently raised serious concern regarding their potential threat to aquatic ecosystem and human health. In this study, the magnetic ion exchange(MIEX) resin was applied for removing three commonly-used antibiotics, sulfamethoxazole(SMX), tetracycline(TCN) and amoxicillin(AMX) from water.The results of batch experiments show that the maximum adsorption capacities on the MIEX resin for SMX, TCN and AMX were 789.32, 443.18 and 155.15 μg/m L at 25°C,respectively, which were 2–7 times that for the powdered activated carbon. The adsorption kinetics of antibiotics on the MIEX resin could be simulated by the pseudo-second-order model(R^2= 0.99), and the adsorption isotherm data were well described by the Langmuir model(R^2= 0.97). Solution p H exhibited a remarkable impact on the adsorption process and the absorbed concentrations of the tested antibiotics were obtained around the neutral p H.The MIEX resin could be easily regenerated by 2 mol/L Na Cl solution and maintained high adsorption removal for the tested antibiotics after regeneration. Anion exchange mechanism mainly controlled the adsorption of antibiotic and the formation of hydrogen binding between the antibiotic and resin can also result in the increase of adsorption capacity. 6Association of colorectal cancer susceptibility variants with esophageal cancer in a Chinese population显示文摘AIM: To investigate the association between colorectal cancer(CRC) genetic susceptibility variants and esophageal cancer in a Chinese Han population.METHODS: A case-control study was conducted including 360 esophageal cancer patients and310 healthy controls. Thirty-one single-nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) associated with CRC risk from previous genome-wide association studies were analyzed. SNPs were genotyped using Sequenom Mass-ARRAY technology, and genotypic frequencies in controls were tested for departure from HardyWeinberg equilibrium using a Fisher's exact test. The allelic frequencies were compared between cases and controls using a χ 2 test. Associations between the SNPs and the risk of esophageal cancer were tested using various genetic models(codominant, dominant,recessive, overdominant, and additive). ORs and95%CIs were calculated by unconditional logistic regression with adjustments for age and sex.RESULTS: The minor alleles of rs1321311 and rs4444235 were associated with a 1.53-fold(95%CI:1.15-2.06; P = 0.004) and 1.28-fold(95%CI: 1.03-1.60;P = 0.028) increased risk of esophageal cancer in the allelic model analysis, respectively. In the genetic model analysis, the C/C genotype of rs3802842 was associated with a reduced risk of esophageal cancer in the codominant model(OR = 0.52, 95%CI:0.31-0.88; P = 0.033) and recessive model(OR =0.55, 95%CI: 0.34-0.87; P = 0.010). The rs4939827C/T-T/T genotype was associated with a 0.67-fold(95%CI: 0.46-0.98; P = 0.038) decreased esophageal cancer risk under the dominant model. In addition,rs6687758, rs1321311, and rs4444235 were associated with an increased risk. 8Effects of LY294002 on the invasiveness of human gastric cancer in vivo in nude mice显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effects of class phosphatidy-linositol 3-kinase (PI3K) inhibitor LY294002 on the invasiveness and related mechanisms of implanted tumors of SGC7901 human gastric carcinoma cells in nude mice. METHODS: Nude mice were randomly divided into model control groups and LY294002 treatment groups. On days 5, 10 and 15 after treatment, the inhibitory rate of tumor growth, pathological changes in tumor specimens, expression levels of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2, MMP-9, CD34 [representing microvessel density (MVD)] and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), as well as apoptosis indexes in tumor samples were observed.RESULTS: In this study, we showed that treatingthe tumors with LY294002 could significantly inhibit carcinoma growth by 11.3%, 29.4% and 36.7%, after 5, 10 and 15 d, respectively, compared to the control group. Hematoxylin & eosin staining indicated that the rate of inhibition increased progressively (23.51% ± 3.11%, 43.20% ± 3.27% and 63.28% ± 2.10% at 5, 10 and 15 d, respectively) along with apoptosis. The expression of MMP-2 was also downregulated (from 71.4% ± 1.6% to 47.9% ± 0.7%, 31.9% ± 0.9% and 7.9% ± 0.7%). The same effects were observed in MMP-9 protein expression (from 49.4% ± 1.5% to 36.9% ± 0.4%, 23.5% ± 0.9% and 7.7% ± 0.6%), the mean MVD (from 51.2% ± 3.1% to 41.9% ± 1.5%, 30.9% ± 1.7% and 14.9% ± 0.8%), and the expression of VEGF (from 47.2% ± 3.1% to 25.9% ± 0.5%, 18.6% ± 1.2% and 5.1% ± 0.9%) by immunohistochemical staining.CONCLUSION: The classPI3K inhibitor LY294002could inhibit the invasiveness of gastric cancer cells by downregulating the expression of MMP-2, MMP-9, and VEGF, and reducing MVD.Chun-Gen Xing Bao-Song Zhu Xiao-Qing Fan Hui-Hui Liu Xun Hou Kui Zhao Zheng-Hong Qin 2009World Journal of Gastroenterology2009,15,40:5

10Novel trichromatic phosphor Co-doped with Eu, Tb in SiO_2 gel matrix显示文摘The Eu, Tb co-doped SiO2 matrix tricolor fluorescence system was prepared by sol-gel technique. Red emission at 618 nm, green emission at 543 nm and blue emission at 350―500 nm were observed in the PL spectra of the sample, indicating that Eu3+, Eu2+ and Tb3+ ions coexisted in the matrix. In the co-doped sample, the blue emission of Eu2+ was much stronger than that of the sample single doped with Eu, which implied that the electron transfer between Eu3+ and Tb3+ maybe happened in the SiO2 matrix. The influences of the annealing temperature and Tb concentration on the PL spectra of the samples were investigated. The optimal doped concentration of Tb was determined to be 0.2% and the optimal annealing temperature 850℃. 11Dependence of the stability of organic light-emitting diodes on driving mode显示文摘We investigated the effects of pulsed current (PC) and direct current (DC) driving modes on the stability of organic light-emitting diodes with and without hole-injection layers (HILs).Two different HIL materials were used:copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) and 4,4',4″-tris(3-methylphenylphenylamino)triphenylamine (m-MDTATA).It was found that the half-lives of devices using PC driving modes were different from those of comparable devices using DC driving modes.For the devices without HILs,with CuPc HILs and with MTDATA HILs,the half-lives of the devices were changed by factors of 1.91,1.41 and 0.86,respectively,when operated in PC rather than DC driving modes.Our analysis of the electrical characteristics of the corresponding hole-only devices showed that the number of holes injected into devices was greatly reduced by inserting an m-MTDATA layer compared with other designs.The results indicate that different ratios of injected electrons and holes can be obtained in these devices.Moreover,these ratios play a dominant role in the dependence of the stability of the device on the driving mode.ZHANG WenWen WU ZhaoXin ZHANG XinWen LIANG ShiXiong JIAO Bo HOU Xun 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,21:4

13EYA4 inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma growth and invasion by suppressing NF-κB-dependent RAP1 transactivation显示文摘Background:Our previous studies demonstrated that eyes absent homolog 4(EYA4),a member of the eye devel-opment-related EYA family in Drosophila,is frequently methylated and silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)specimens and associated with shorter survival.The current work aimed to explore the mechanisms through which EYA4 functions as a tumor suppressor in HCC.Methods:Stable EYA4-expressing plasmid(pEYA4)transfectants of the human HCC cell lines Huh-7 and PLC/PRF/5(PLC)were established.Xenografts tumors were established via subcutaneous injection of the stable transfectants into BALB/c nude mice.Tissue samples were obtained from 75 pathologically diagnosed HCC patients.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction,Western blotting and immunohistochemistry were performed to determine the expression of EYA4 in cell lines,xenografts and clinical specimens.The cell proliferation,colony formation,invasiveness and tumor formation of stable transfectants were studied.A gene expression microarray was utilized to screen genes regulated by EYA4 expression.The effect of EYA4 on nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)/RAS-related protein 1(RAP1)signaling was demonstrated through the co-transfection of pEYA4 and Flag-tagged RAS-related protein 1A gene-expressing plasmid(Flag-RAP1A),functional studies,chromatin immunoprecipitation,immunofluorescence staining and cellular ubiquitination assay.Results:The restoration of EYA4 expression in HCC cell lines suppressed cell proliferation,inhibited clonogenic outgrowth,reduced cell invasion and restrained xenograft tumor growth,and Flag-RAP1A reversed the suppressive effects of pEYA4 in vitro.Activation of NF-κB with tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)increased the binding of p65 to the RAP1A gene promoter and up-regulated RAP1 protein expression.The inhibition of NF-κB with BAY 11-7085 and p65 siRNA successfully blocked TNF-α-induced RAP1 up-regulation.EYA4 antagonized the TNF-α-induced phosphoryla-tion and ubiquitination of inhibitor of NF-κBα(IκBα)as well as the nuclear translocation and transactivation of p65,resulting in repressed NF-κB activity and RAP1 expression.Blocking the serine/threonine phosphatase activity of EYA4 with calyculin A notably abrogated its suppressive effect on NF-κB activity.In addition,EYA4 expression was inversely correlated with IκBα/RAP1 activity in clinical HCC specimens.Conclusion:Our findings provide a functional and mechanistic basis for identifying EYA4 as a bona fide tumor sup-pressor that disrupts aberrant activation of the NF-κB/RAP1 signaling pathway and thus orchestrates a physiological impediment to HCC growth and invasion.Shi-Jing Mo Xun Hou Xiao-Yi Hao Jian-Peng Cai Xin Liu Wei Chen Dong Chen Xiao-Yu Yin 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:4

15Remote,selective,and in situ manipulation of liquid droplets on a femtosecond laser-structured superhydrophobic shape-memory polymer by near-infrared light显示文摘Droplet manipulation plays a significant role in the fields of biomedical detection,microfluidics,and chemical engineering.However,it still remains a great challenge to simultaneously achieve remote,selective,and in situ droplet manipulation on the same surface.Here,Fe_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles were doped in a shape-memory polymer(SMP)to prepare a photothermal-responsive Fe_(3)O_(4)-SMP composite which showed remarkable near-infrared(NIR)light-triggered shape-memory property.Superhydrophobic micropillar array was constructed on such Fe_(3)O_(4)-SMP composite through femtosecond laser microfabrication and fluoroalkylsilane modification.The surface wettability of the as-prepared surface can transform from a low-adhesive sliding state to a high-adhesive pinning state as the micropillars are deformed by pressing.Interestingly,the deformed micropillars can stand up and restore to their original morphology under remote NIR light irradiation,resulting in the reversible and repeatable recovery of the ultralow-adhesive superhydrophobicity.With such light-triggered wettability switching,the droplets pinning on the sample surface can be remotely,selectively,and in situ released.Furthermore,the superhydrophobic Fe_(3)O_(4)-SMP surface is successfully applied in lossless liquid transfer,selective droplet release,and droplet-based microreactor.The as-fabricated superhydrophobic surfaces with NIR light-controlled reversible wettability will hold great promise in the fields of liquid manipulation,lab-on-a-chip,and microfluidics.Xue Bai Jiale Yong Chao Shan Yao Fang Xun Hou Feng Chen 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,5:3
16Application of spline wavelet transform in differential of electroanalytical signal显示文摘Investigating characteristics of spline wavelet, we found that if the two-order spline function, the derivative function of the three-order B spline function, is used as the wavelet base function, the spline wavelet transform has both the property of denoising and that of differential. As a result, the relation between the spline wavelet transform and the differential was studied in theory. Experimental results show that the spline wavelet transform can well be applied to the differential of the electroanalytical signal. Compared with other kinds of wavelet transform, the spline wavelet transform has a characteristic of differential. Compared with the digital differentia] and simulative differential with electronic circuit, the spline wavelet transform not only can carry out denoising and differential for a signal, but also has the advantages of simple operation and small quantity of calculation, because step length, RC constant and other kinds of parameters need not be selected. 17Study on pulsed laser ablation and deposition of ZnO thin films by L-MBE显示文摘ZnO,as a wide-band gap semiconductor,has recently become a new research fo-cus in the field of ultraviolet optoelectronic semiconductors. Laser molecular beam epitaxy(L-MBE) is quite useful for the unit cell layer-by-layer epitaxial growth of zinc oxide thin films from the sintered ceramic target. The ZnO ceramic target with high purity was ablated by KrF laser pulses in an ultra high vacuum to deposit ZnO thin film during the process of L-MBE. It is found that the deposition rate of ZnO thin film by L-MBE is much lower than that by conventional pulsed laser deposition(PLD) . Based on the experimental phenomena in the ZnO thin film growth process and the thermal-controlling mechanism of the nanosecond(ns) pulsed laser abla-tion of ZnO ceramic target,the suggested effective ablating time during the pulse duration can explain the very low deposition rate of the ZnO film by L-MBE. The unique dynamic mechanism for growing ZnO thin film is analyzed. 18The SSA-BP-based potential threat prediction for aerial target considering commander emotion显示文摘The target's threat prediction is an essential procedure for the situation analysis in an aerial defense system.However,the traditional threat prediction methods mostly ignore the effect of commander's emotion.They only predict a target's present threat from the target's features itself,which leads to their poor ability in a complex situation.To aerial targets,this paper proposes a method for its potential threat prediction considering commander emotion(PTP-CE)that uses the Bi-directional LSTM(BiLSTM)network and the backpropagation neural network(BP)optimized by the sparrow search algorithm(SSA).Furthermore,we use the BiLSTM to predict the target's future state from real-time series data,and then adopt the SSA-BP to combine the target's state with the commander's emotion to establish a threat prediction model.Therefore,the target's potential threat level can be obtained by this threat prediction model from the predicted future state and the recognized emotion.The experimental results show that the PTP-CE is efficient for aerial target's state prediction and threat prediction,regardless of commander's emotional effect.Xun Wang Jin Liu Tao Hou Chao Pan 2022Defence Technology(防务技术)2022,18,11:3
19Underwater gas self-transportation along femtosecond laser-written open superhydrophobic surface microchannels(<100μm)for bubble/gas manipulation显示文摘Underwater transportation of bubbles and gases has essential applications in manipulating and using gas,but achieving this function at the microscopic level remains a significant challenge.Here,we report a strategy to self-transport gas in water along a laser-induced open superhydrophobic microchannel with a width less than 100μm.The femtosecond laser can directly write superhydrophobic and underwater superaerophilic microgrooves on the polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)surfaces.In water,the single laser-induced microgroove and water medium generate a hollow microchannel.When the microchannel connects two superhydrophobic regions in water,the gas spontaneously travels from the small region to the large area along this hollow microchannel.Gas self-transportation can be extended to laser-drilled microholes through a thin PTFE sheet,which can even achieve anti-buoyancy unidirectional penetration.The gas can overcome the bubble’s buoyance and spontaneously travel downward.The Laplace pressure difference drives the processes of spontaneous gas transportation and unidirectional bubble passage.We believe the property of gas self-transportation in the femtosecond laser-structured open superhydrophobic and underwater superaerophilic microgrooves/microholes has significant potential applications related to manipulating underwater gas.Jiale Yong Qing Yang Jinglan Huo Xun Hou Feng Chen 2022International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2022,4,1:3
20EYA4通过抑制NF-κB依赖的RAP1反式激活抑制肝细胞癌的生长和侵袭显示文摘背景与目的我们之前研究表明,眼缺失蛋白同源物4(eyes absent homolog 4,EYA4)是果蝇眼部发育相关的眼缺乏蛋白家族成员之一,在肝细胞癌(hepatocellular carcinoma,HCC)标本中常发生甲基化和沉默,并与患者生存期短密切相关。本研究旨在探讨EYA4在HCC中作为肿瘤抑制因子的作用机制。方法转染EYA4表达质粒(pEYA4)构建稳定表达EYA4的人HCC细胞系Huh-7和PLC/PRF/5(PLC)。通过BALB/c裸鼠皮下注射稳定转染细胞建立异种移植肿瘤。组织标本来自75例病理诊断为HCC的患者。采用实时定量聚合酶链式反应(real-time polymerase chain reaction,real-time PCR)、蛋白质免疫印迹和免疫组织化学的方法检测EYA4在细胞系、异种移植物和临床标本中的表达;研究了稳定转染细胞系的细胞增殖、克隆形成、侵袭性和肿瘤形成。利用基因表达芯片筛选EYA4调节的基因。通过共转染EYA4和带Flag标签的RAS相关蛋白1A(RAS-related protein 1A,RAP1A)基因的表达质粒(pEYA4和Flag-RAP1A)、功能研究、染色质免疫共沉淀、免疫荧光染色和细胞泛素化分析等方法,研究了EYA4对核因子-κB(nuclear factor-κB,NF-κB)/RAS相关蛋白1(RAS-related protein 1,RAP1)信号通路的影响。结果恢复HCC细胞系中EYA4的表达可抑制细胞的增殖、抑制克隆形成、降低细胞的侵袭性和抑制异种移植肿瘤生长,在体外实验中Flag-RAP1A可逆转pEYA4的抑制作用。用肿瘤坏死因子-α(tumor necrosis factor-α,TNF-α)激活NF-κB通路可增加p65与RAP1A基因启动子的结合并上调RAP1蛋白的表达。用BAY 11-7085和p65 siRNA抑制NF-κB通路,成功阻断了TNF-α诱导的RAP1上调。EYA4拮抗了TNF-α诱导的NF-κB抑制因子α(inhibitor of NF-κBα,IκBα)的磷酸化和泛素化以及p65的核易位和反式激活,进而抑制了NF-κB的活性和RAP1的表达。用calyculin A阻断EYA4的丝氨酸/苏氨酸磷酸酶活性可显著消除其对NF-κB活性的抑制作用。此外,EYA4的表达与HCC临床标本中IκBα/RAP1活性呈负相关。结论我们的研究结果为明确EYA4是真正的肿瘤抑制因子提供了功能和机制的理论基础,该肿瘤抑制因子可抑制NF-κB/RAP1信号通路的异常激活,从而抑制HCC生长和侵袭。Shi-Jing Mo Xun Hou Xiao-Yi Hao Jian-Peng Cai Xin Liu Wei Chen Dong Chen Xiao-Yu Yin胆胰外科 2019癌症2019,38,2:2
