| 1 | Transplantation of UC-MSCs on collagen scaffold activates follicles in dormant ovaries of POF patients with long history of infertility显示文摘Premature ovarian failure(POF) is a refractory disease for clinical treatment with the goal of restoring fertility. In this study,umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells on a collagen scaffold(collagen/UC-MSCs) can activate primordial follicles in vitro via phosphorylation of FOXO3 a and FOXO1. Transplantation of collagen/UC-MSCs to the ovaries of POF patients rescued overall ovarian function, evidenced by elevated estradiol concentrations, improved follicular development, and increased number of antral follicles. Successful clinical pregnancy was achieved in women with POF after transplantation of collagen/UC-MSCs or UC-MSCs. | 2 | Molecular subtyping and genomic profiling expand precision medicine in refractory metastatic triple-negative breast cancer:the FUTURE trial显示文摘Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is a highly heterogeneous disease,and molecular subtyping may result in improved diagnostic precision and targeted therapies.Our previous study classified TNBCs into four subtypes with putative therapeutic targets.Here,we conducted the FUTURE trial(ClinicalTrials.gov identifer:NCT03805399),a phaseⅠb/Ⅱsubtyping-based and genomic biomarker-guided umbrella trial,to evaluate the efficacy of these targets.Patients with refractory metastatic TNBC were enrolled and stratifed by TNBC subtypes and genomic biomarkers,and assigned to one of these seven arms:(A)pyrotinib with capecitabine,(B)androgen receptor inhibitor with CDK4/6 inhibitor,(C)anti PD-1 with nab-paclitaxel,(D)PARP inhibitor included,(E)and(F)anti-VEGFR included,or(G)mTOR inhibitor with nab paclitaxel.The primary end point was the objective response rate(ORR).We enrolled 69 refractory metastatic TNBC patients with a median of three previous lines of therapy(range,1-8).Objective response was achieved in 20(29.0%,95%confidence interval(CI):18.7%-41.2%)of the 69 intention-to-treat(ITT)patients.Our results showed that immunotherapy(arm C),in particular,achieved the highest ORR(52.6%,95%CI:28.9%-75.6%)in the ITT population.Arm E demonstrated favorable ORR(26.1%,95%C:10.2%-48.4%in the ITT population)but with more high grade(23)adverse events.Somatic mutations of TOP2A and CD8 immunohistochemical score may have the potential to predict immunotherapy response in the immunomodulatory subtype of TNBC.In conclusion,the phaseⅠb/ⅡFUTURE trial suggested a new concept for TNBC treatment,demonstrating the clinical beneft of subtyping-based targeted therapy for refractory metastatic TNBC. | Yi-Zhou Jiang Yin Liu Yi Xiao Xin Hu Lin Jiang Wen-ia Zuo Ding Ma Jiahan Ding Xiaoyu Zhu Jianjun Zou Claire Verschraegen Daniel G.Stover Virginia Kaklamani Zhong-Hua Wang Zhi-Ming Shao | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,2: | 37 |

| 4 | Inferring three-dimensional surface displacement field by combining SAR interferometric phase and amplitude information of ascending and descending orbits显示文摘Conventional Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(InSAR) technology can only measure one-dimensional surface displacement(along the radar line-of-sight(LOS) direction).Here we presents a method to infer three-dimensional surface displacement field by combining SAR interferometric phase and amplitude information of ascending and descending orbits.The method is realized in three steps:(1) measuring surface displacements along the LOS directions of both ascending and descending orbits based on interferometric phases;(2) measuring surface displacements along the azimuth directions of both the ascending and descending orbits based on the SAR amplitude data;and(3) estimating the three-dimensional(3D) surface displacement field by combining the above four independent one-dimensional displacements using the method of least squares and Helmert variance component estimation.We apply the method to infer the 3D surface displacement field caused by the 2003 Bam,Iran,earthquake.The results reveal that in the northern part of Bam the ground surface experienced both subsidence and southwestward horizontal movement,while in the southern part uplift and southeastward horizontal movement occurred.The displacement field thus determined matches the location of the fault very well with the maximal displacements reaching 22,40,and 30 cm,respectively in the up,northing and easting directions.Finally,we compare the 3D displacement field with that simulated from the Okada model.The results demonstrate that the method presented here can be used to generate reliable and highly accurate 3D surface displacement fields. | HU Jun LI ZhiWei ZHU JianJun REN XiaoChong DING XiaoLi | 2010 | Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,4: | 21 |
| 5 | Effects of process parameters on pore structure of semi-coke prepared by solid heat carrier with dry distillation显示文摘The semi-coke was prepared by solid heat carrier with dry distillation in single factor method. The pore structures of raw coal and semi-coke were characterized by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show that the adsorption and desorption isotherm of semi-coke are not coincident. There was a wide pore distribution on the semi-coke, in which mesopores and micropores account for a considerable proportion. Also there are many more secondary pores. With the increase of the final temperature of heat carrier and constant temperature, as well as the decrease of volume ratio of coal and hot carrier reactor, specific surface area and pore volume of semi-coke increased rapidly first and then decreased and finally increased, along with the rapidly reduction of average pore size. | 6 | Enhanced allelopathy and competitive ability of invasive plant Solidago canadensis in its introduced range显示文摘Aims Why invasive plants are more competitive in their introduced range than native range is still an unanswered question in plant invasion ecology.Here,we used the model invasive plant Solidago canaden-sis to test a hypothesis that enhanced production of allelopathic compounds results in greater competitive ability of invasive plants in the invaded range rather than in the native range.We also exam-ined the degree to which the allelopathy contributes increased com-petitive ability of S.canadensis in the invaded range.Methods We compared allelochemical production by S.canadensis growing in its native area(the USA)and invaded area(China)and also by populations that were collected from the two countries and grown together in a'common garden'greenhouse experiment.We also tested the allelopathic effects of S.canadensis collected from either the USA or China on the germination of Kummerowia striata(a native plant in China).Finally,we conducted a common garden,greenhouse experiment in which K.striata was grown in monocul-ture or with S.canadensis from the USA or China to test the effects of allopathy on plant-plant competition with suitable controls such as adding activated carbon to the soil to absorb the allelochemicals and thereby eliminating any corresponding allopathic effects.Important findings Allelochemical contents(total phenolics,total flavones and total saponins)and allelopathic effects were greater in S.canadensis sampled from China than those from the USA as demonstrated in a field survey and a common garden experiment.Inhibition of K.stri-ata germination using S.canadensis extracts or previously grown in soil was greater using samples from China than from the USA.The competitive ability of S.canadensis against K.striata was also greater for plants originating from China than those from the USA.Allelopathy could explain about 46%of the difference.These find-ings demonstrated that S.canadensis has evolved to be more allelo-pathic and competitive in the introduced range and that allelopathy significantly contributes to increased competitiveness for this inva-sive species. | Yongge Yuan Bing Wang Shanshan Zhang Jianjun Tang Cong Tu Shuijin Hu Jean W.H.Yong Xin Chen | 2013 | Journal of Plant Ecology2013,6,3: | 15 |
| 7 | Effect of intraplaque angiogenesis to atherosclerotic rupture-prone plaque induced by high shear stress in rabbit model显示文摘Atherosclerotic prone-rupture plaque is mainly localized in the region of the entrance to the stenosiswith high shear stress and the reasons are largely unknown. Our hypothesis is that such a distributionof cells in atherosclerotic plaque may depend on the angiogenesis. Silastic collars inducedregions of high shear stress (20.6865.27 dynes/cm2) in the upstream flow and low shear stress(12.2561.28 dynes/cm2) in the downstream flow in carotid arteries. Compared with the low shearstress region, plaques in the high shear stress region showed more intraplaque haemorrhaging,less collagen and higher apoptotic rates of vascular smooth muscle cells;endothelial cells (ECs) inthe high shear stress region were characterized with integrity and high endothelial nitric oxidesynthase (eNOS) expression (1570.36345.5% vs 172.9649.9%). The number of intraplaque microvesselsis very high in the high shear stress region (1561.8 n/mm2 vs 3.560.4 n/mm2), and themicrovessels in the plaque show ECs were abnormal, with membrane blebs, intracytoplasmic vacuolesand leukocyte infiltration. It was found that [±100] and [00±1] valleys(-4) splitting from the [0±10] valley(-2) constitute the conduction b0and(CB) edge,that valence band(VB) edge degeneracy is partially lifted and that the electron mass is un-altered under strain while the hole mass decreases in the [100] and [010] directions. | 11 | An Object-based Approach for Two-level Gully Feature Mapping Using High-resolution DEM and Imagery: A Case Study on Hilly Loess Plateau Region, China显示文摘Gully feature mapping is an indispensable prerequisite for the motioning and control of gully erosion which is a widespread natural hazard. The increasing availability of high-resolution Digital Elevation Model(DEM) and remote sensing imagery, combined with developed object-based methods enables automatic gully feature mapping. But still few studies have specifically focused on gully feature mapping on different scales. In this study, an object-based approach to two-level gully feature mapping, including gully-affected areas and bank gullies, was developed and tested on 1-m DEM and Worldview-3 imagery of a catchment in the Chinese Loess Plateau. The methodology includes a sequence of data preparation, image segmentation, metric calculation, and random forest based classification. The results of the two-level mapping were based on a random forest model after investigating the effects of feature selection and class-imbalance problem. Results show that the segmentation strategy adopted in this paper which considers the topographic information and optimal parameter combination can improve the segmentation results. The distribution of the gully-affected area is closely related to topographic information, however, the spectral features are more dominant for bank gully mapping. The highest overall accuracy of the gully-affected area mapping was 93.06% with four topographic features. The highest overall accuracy of bank gully mapping is 78.5% when all features are adopted. | 12 | An Important Ornithischian Tracksite in the Early Jurassic of the Shenmu Region,Shaanxi,China显示文摘A large track site with multiple, well-preserved trackways of an Early Jurassic quadrupedal ornithischian dinosaur is the first report of Moyenisauripus-like trackways from Asia, herein named Shenmuichnus youngteilhardorum. The tracks occur in a clastic fluvial sequence in the Fuxian Formation in Shenmu County, Shaanxi Province, which is in the same general region as the discovery site of Sinoichnites,the first dinosaur track reported from China. Based on size and morphology, it is likely that Sinoichnites, which is now lost, also represents an ornithischian. The Shenmuichnus youngteilhardorum trackways show two modes of preservation: the first representing deeper tracks, with sediment rims, results in Deltapodus-like tracks, with indistinct pes digit traces and sub-circular manus traces, the second produces Moyenosauripus-like tracks, with clear tridactyl and pentadactyl digit traces in the pes and manus respectively. Thus the Shenmu trackways play a key role in resolving globally significant ichnotaxonomic problems surrounding the nomenclature of Sinoichnites, Moyenosauripus, Deltapodus and other named (Ravatichnus) and unnamed trackways from Asia, Africa and Europe. In addition they shed important light on the paleogeographical and paleoecological distribution of quadrupedal ornithischians in the Early Mesozoic. The track site has been the focus of a major excavation to transfer the trackways from their original remote location to the new Shenmu Museum, in Shenmu City. | 13 | Plant coexistence can enhance phytoextraction of cadmium by tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) in contaminated soil显示文摘A mesocosm experiment was conducted to investigate whether plant coexistence affects cadmium (Cd) uptake by plant in contaminated soil.Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.var.K326) and Japanese clover (Kummerowia striata (Thunb.) Schindl.) were used.Cadmium was applied as 3CdSO 4 ·8H 2 O in solution at three levels (0,1,and 3 mg/kg soil) to simulate an unpolluted soil and soils that were slightly and moderately polluted with Cd.Tobacco (crop),Japanese clover (non-crop),and their combination were grown under each Cd treatment.Compared to monoculture and under all Cd treatments,co-planting with Japanese clover did not affect tobacco biomass but significantly increased Cd concentration in all tobacco tissues and enhanced Cd accumulation in tobacco shoots and roots.Compared to monoculture,co-planting reduced soil pH and increased Cd bioavailability.For tobacco,co-planting with Japanese clover increased the Cd bioconcentration factor (BCF) in Cd contaminated soil.Japanese clover also accumulated substantial quantities of Cd in shoots and roots.Thus,total Cd uptake by the plants was much greater with co-planting than with monoculture.The results suggested that phytoextraction can be effectively increased through tobacco co-planting with Japanese clover in mildly Cd-contaminated soil. | Ling Liu Yuefang Li Jianjun Tang Liangliang Hu Xin Chen | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,3: | 9 |

Based on the valence band E-k relations of strained Si/(111)Si1-xGex, the valence band and hole effective mass along the [111] and [-110] directions were obtained in this work. In comparison with the relaxed Si, the valence band edge degeneracy was partially lifted, and the significant change was observed band structures along the [111] and [-110] directions, as well as in its corresponding hole effective masses with the increasing Ge fraction. | 16 | Changes in the thermodynamic properties of alkaline granite after cyclic quenching following high temperature action显示文摘During the development of hot dry rock,the research on thermal fatigue damage caused by thermal shock of cold and heat cycles is the basis that ensures the long-term utilization of geothermal resources,but there are not enough relevant studies at present.Based on this,the thermal damage tests of granite at different temperatures(250,350,450°C)and quenching cycles(1,5,10,15 cycles)were carried out.Preliminary reveals the damage mechanism and heat transfer law of the quenching cycle effect on hot dry rock.The results show that with the increase of temperature and cycles,the uneven thermal expansion of minerals and the thermal shock caused by quenching promote the crack development of granite,resulting in the decrease of P-wave velocity,thermal conductivity and uniaxial compressive strength of granite.Meanwhile,the COMSOL was used to simulate the heat transfer of hot dry rock under different heat treatment conditions.It concluded that the increase in the number of quenching cycles reduced the heat transfer capacity of the granite,especially more than 10 quenching cycles,which also reflects that the thermal fatigue damage leads to a longer time for the temperature recovery of the hot dry rock mass.In addition,the three-dimensional nonlinear fitting relationship among thermal conductivity,temperature and cycle number was established for the first time,which can better reveal the change rule of thermal conductivity after quenching thermal fatigue effect of hot dry rock.The research results provide theoretical support for hot dry rock reservoir reconstruction and production efficiency evaluation. | Jianjun Hu Heping Xie Qiang Sun Cunbao Li Guikang Liu | 2021 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2021,31,5: | 8 |
| 17 | Flame-retardant concentrated electrolyte enabling a Li F-rich solid electrolyte interface to improve cycle performance of wide-temperature lithium–sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium–sulfur batteries have been regarded as the most promising high-energy electrochemical energy storage device owing to the high energy density, low cost and environmental friendliness. However, traditional lithium–sulfur batteries using ether-based electrolytes often suffer from severe safety risks(i.e. combustion). Herein, we demonstrated a novel kind of flame-retardant concentrated electrolyte(6.5 M lithium bis(trifluoromethylsulphonyl)imide/fluoroethylene carbonate) for highly-safe and widetemperature lithium–sulfur batteries. It was found that such concentrated electrolyte showed superior flame retardancy, high lithium-ion transference number(0.69) and steady lithium plating/stripping behavior(2.5 m Ah cm^(-2) over 3000 h). Moreover, lithium–sulfur batteries using this flame-retardant concentrated electrolyte delivered outstanding cycle performance in a wide range of temperatures(-10 °C, 25 °C and 90 °C). This superior battery performance is mainly attributed to the LiF-rich solid electrolyte interphase formed on lithium metal anode, which can effectively suppress the continuous growth of lithium dendrites. | 19 | Complete three-dimensional coseismic displacements due to the 2021 Maduo earthquake in Qinghai Province,China from Sentinel-1 and ALOS-2 SAR images显示文摘On 22 nd May 2021(local time),an earthquake of M_(s)7.4 struck Maduo county in Qinghai Province,China.This was the largest earthquake in China since the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake.In this study,ascending/descending Sentinel-1 and advanced land observation satellite-2(ALOS-2)synthetic aperture radar(SAR)images were used to derive the three-dimensional(3-D)coseismic displacements of this earthquake.We used the differential interferometric SAR(In SAR,DIn SAR),pixel offset-tracking(POT),multiple aperture In SAR(MAI),and burst overlap interferometry(BOI)methods to derive the displacement observations along the line-of-sight(LOS)and azimuth directions.To accurately mitigate the effect of ionospheric delay on the ALOS-2 DIn SAR observations,a polynomial fitting method was proposed to optimize range-spectrum-split-derived ionospheric phases.In addition,the 3-D displacement field was obtained by a strain model and variance component estimation(SM-VCE)method based on the high-quality SAR displacement observations.Results indicated that a left-lateral fault slip with the largest horizontal displacement of up to 2.4 m dominated this earthquake,and the small-magnitude vertical displacement with an alternating uplift/subsidence pattern along the fault trace was more concentrated in the near-fault regions.Comparison with the global navigation satellite system data indicated that the SM-VCE method can significantly improve the accuracy of the displacements compared to the classical weighted least squares method,and the incorporation of the BOI displacements can substantially benefit the accuracy of north-south displacement.In addition to the displacements,three coseismic strain invariants calculated based on the strain model parameters were also investigated.It was found that the eastern and western parts of the faults suffered more significant strains compared with the epicenter region. | Jihong LIU Jun HU Zhiwei LI Zhangfeng MA Lixin WU Weiping JIANG Guangcai FENG Jianjun ZHU | 2022 | Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,4: | 6 |
| 20 | Recent progress in Chinese polar upper-atmospheric physics research: review of research advances supported by the Chinese Arctic and Antarctic expeditions显示文摘It has been more than 30 years since the first Chinese Antarctic Expedition took place. Polar upper atmospheric observations started at this time. First began at Great Wall Station and then at Zhongshan Station in Antarctica, and later in the Arctic at Yellow River Station, Kjell Henriksen Observatory on Svalbard, and at the China-Iceland Joint Aurora Observatory in Iceland. In this paper, we reviewed the advances in polar upper atmosphere physics(UAP) based on the Chinese national Arctic and Antarctic research over the last five years. These included newly deployed observatories and research instruments in the Arctic and Antarctic; and new research findings, from ground-based observations, about polar ionosphere dynamics, aurora and particle precipitation, polar plasma convection, geomagnetic pulsations and space plasma waves, space weather in the polar regions, simulations of the polar ionosphere-magnetosphere.
