| 1 | Seismic Sequence in Carbonate Rocks By Vibrational Liquefaction显示文摘On the basis of the records of strong seismic events taking place in soft carbonate sediments, a new seismic sequence system of vibrational liquefaction is established, which consists of a series of units, such as escaped structure of micrite veins and liquefied deformation formed in the period of seismic liquefaction, land subsidence structure after liquefaction, tsunamic hummocky and turbidite produced by seismic events, This sequence is a generalization and summation of field observation in vast areas, which shows the whole process of a strong seismic event and provides an unified theoretical explanation. The pattern of the seismic sequence by vibrational liquefaction provides one of correlation standards for geologists in the field to discriminate events in carbonate sequences. The polycrystalline quartz inclusions showing the characteristic texture within garnets of eclogites indicates the pre-existence of coesites under the peak meta-morphic condition. The unusual exsolution textures in om-pacites and apatites, and the pressure estimations of phengite-bearing eclogites have been taken to provide further proof of eclogite formation under the UHP conditions. | 6 | Geological and chronological evidence of Indo-Chinese strike-slip movement in the Altyn Tagh fault zone显示文摘A set of granitic and amphibole mylonite are exposed in the Altyn Tagh fault zone. The preliminary study shows that these rocks are the product of the syntectonic anatexis in the process of the left-lat- eral strike-slip shear, and are the result of the ductile transpression. There are two types of zircon sorted from the mylonite formed with syn-shear anatexis. Among them, one is the anatectic long co-lumnar zircon and another is the residual metamorphic sub-rounded columnar zircon. Two groups of age for single zircon measured by ion microprobe (SHRIMP) are obtained: one is 461-547 Ma for the sub-rounded columnar residual metamorphic zircon, and the other is 239-244 Ma for the long-columnar anatectic zircon. | 9 | Determination of the Altyn Tagh strike-slip fault basin and its relationship with mountains显示文摘A special extended basin topography is developed in the middle segment of the Altyn Tagh Fault Zone. The ratio of its length to width is over 50. The long boundaries at the two sides of the basin are controlled by the straight normal faults with strike-slip component. Within the basin, the Cenozoic strata are spread. The Altyn Tagh main fault goes through the basin, and a series of strike-slip topography was formed within the basin. The reverse thrust structures were formed at the two sides of the center of the basin, thus making the geological bodies composed of old metamorphic rocks at the two sides of the basin extrude vertically, and forming the extended massif (mountain) at the sides of the basin and parallel to the basin. | 11 | Spatial distribution patterns of Symplocos congeners in a subtropical evergreen broad-leaf forest of southern China显示文摘Studies on spatial distribution of congeneric species can supplement our understanding of species ecological processes. We analyzed population structure, spatial distribution, intra-and interspecific associations among six Symplocos tree species on a large(50 ha) plot in a subtropical, evergreen broad-leaf forest in southern China using spatial point pattern analysis methods. Our results suggested that the six Symplocos tree species were all clustered at small scales. The aggregation intensity of S. wikstroemiifolia with low abundance but relatively numerous large-diameter trees was much higher than that of the other five Symplocos species that occurred at high abundance but included few large-diameter trees. Spatial associations among the six congeners showed that 12 of 30 pairs were associated positively at small scales, and 13 of 30 pairs were unrelated. For species among different size classes, 79 of 120 pairs were not correlated, and 17 of 120 pairs were associated positively. These results showed insufficient evidence for interspecific competition and congeneric Symplocos species commonly coexist within subtropical plant communities. | 12 | Genome Analysis of Dasineura jujubifolia Toursvirus 2,A Novel Ascovirus显示文摘So far,ascoviruses have only been identified from Lepidoptera host insects and their transmission vectors-endoparasitic wasps.Here,we reported the first finding of a complete novel ascovirus genome from a Diptera insect,Dasineura jujubifolia.Initially,sequence fragments with homology to ascoviruses were incidentally identified during metagenomic sequencing of the mitochondria of D.jujubifolia(Cecidomyiidae,Diptera)which is a major pest on Ziziphus jujuba.Then a full circular viral genome was assembled from the metagenomic data,which has an A+T percentage of 74%and contains 142,600 bp with 141 open reading frames(ORFs).Among the 141 ORFs,37 were conserved in all sequenced ascoviruses(core genes)including proteins predicted to participate in DNA replication,gene transcription,protein modification,virus assembly,lipid metabolism and apoptosis.Multi-gene families including those encode for baculovirus repeated open reading frames(BROs),myristylated membrane proteins,RING/U-box E3 ubiquitin ligases,and ATP-binding cassette(ABC)transporters were found in the virus genome.Phylogenetic analysis showed that the newly identified virus belongs to genus Toursvirus of Ascoviridae,and is therefore named as Dasineura jujubifolia toursvirus 2(DjTV-2a).The virus becomes the second reported species of the genus after Diadromus pulchellus toursvirus 1(DpTV-1a).The genome arrangement of DjTV-2a is quite different from that of DpTV-1a,suggesting these two viruses separated in an early time of evolution.The results suggest that the ascoviruses may infect a much broader range of hosts than our previous knowledge,and shed lights on the evolution of ascoviruses and particularly on that of the toursviruses. | Jun Wang Minglu Yang Haibing Xiao Guo-Hua Huang Fei Deng Zhihong Hu | 2020 | Virologica Sinica2020,35,2: | 4 |
